I hope this message finds you well. I am a semi-retired 70-year-old former full-time educator who has dedicated many years of my life to teaching and nurturing young minds. After retiring from my full-time position, I returned to the classroom as a substitute teacher. With my retirement check, social security check and the income I earned from substitute teaching, I was able to keep my bills paid and maintain a stable life.
However, substitute teaching positions are not available during the summer months, and unfortunately, I was unable to secure a summer job this year. This has put me in a difficult financial strain and situation where my current funds are insufficient to cover all my expenses. Specifically, I am struggling to pay my bills, rent, car note, and car insurance.
I am actively seeking alternative ways to manage my bills, including considering payment plans for some of my bills that I can put off and pay later via a payment plan. However, my immediate concern is ensuring that I have a roof over my head. To cover my rent for this month, I need $1200.

In fact, I have been on INDEED seeking teaching jobs. I applied for a full time Teacher Assistant position and made it to the second interview. After which, I was offered the job and I accepted it, However, school doesn’t start until next month in August. It pays bi-monthly and I won’t get that first check until after four weeks of work since the first check is held for two weeks. Hence, the need for assistance for August rent.
