Please Help Me Raise Money to Open a Candy Store in My Small Town

Hello everyone,

I’m here because I need a little help and I’m not ashamed to ask.

I’m trying to raise $20,000 to open a small candy store in my hometown. It’s a quiet, close-knit town, but over the years we’ve lost a lot of the small local businesses that gave it character and joy. I’ve always dreamed of bringing something happy and simple back to the community.

The idea is a cozy candy shop—classic candies, nostalgic treats, and affordable sweets for kids, families, and anyone who just needs a smile. Nothing fancy, just a warm place filled with color and happiness.

I work hard, but starting a business requires money upfront for permits, initial inventory, equipment, and getting a small space ready. I’ve saved what I can, but I can’t reach this goal alone. That’s why I’m humbly asking for help here.

Any amount—$1, $5, or more—brings me closer to opening this store and creating something positive in my town. If you can’t donate, even taking the time to read this means a lot to me.

Thank you for your kindness and generosity. I truly appreciate every bit of support!

SAVE OUR HOME

<span;>I am 64 yrs old, working a full time job and a part-time job. My husband gets the minimal amount of social security due to disabilities, and I’m becoming buried in bills with major home repairs still needed. I have sold everything of monetary value and don’t want to loose my home.
<span;>$300,000 would be a major blessing. It would put our heads above water and get us back on our feet. This would allow me to only need to work 1 job and be able to enjoy the life around us again before my husband is unable to enjoy it.
<span;>Let me tell you what happened:
<span;>I had a good job, working in healthcare, about 5 yrs ago I left that job to care for my mother-in-law who had a stroke and moved in with us due to being unable to be left alone at home. We all had the dream of moving out of town where she, and shortly after her, my own mom, could sit on the deck, watch the wildlife and enjoy their final days.
<span;>The property quickly became more than we had planned for. We had to replace the septic system and the well, <span;>both were costly. W<span;>e need a retaining wall built to prevent a landslide, but no funds are available. We had help from both parents financially while they were alive, so we held up for the most part, but then my husband’s disability became worse. I needed to find work and was blessed with a work from home job but before I could finish the on boarding process my mother-in-law passed away peacefully here at home with us, she was 97.
<span;>Not one month later my mom, 85, had a gastric intestinal bleed, spent several days in the hospital, came home and placed on hospice. She passed 5 months after my mother-in-law.
<span;>One week later we found out my husband’s prognosis is to expect to be in a wheelchair or paralyzed within 5-10 years.
<span;>I’ve always lived by the belief that family comes first, no matter what. Having the chance to care for my loved ones over the years has been my greatest blessing—a journey of love I wouldn’t trade for anything.
<span;>However, being a full-time caregiver has come with a heavy silent cost. We no longer have the support systems we once relied on, and the weight of our financial future now rests entirely on my shoulders. Between urgent home repairs my husband can no longer physically manage and the lack of a safety net, we are at a breaking point. My biggest fear isn’t just the repairs; it’s the thought of losing the home that has sheltered our family through it all. I am reaching out to ask for help so I can keep providing for those I love and finally find a sense of security again.

Aspiring Paleontologist Needs Help

Thank you so much for taking the time to read this request. Your time, generosity and consideration are greatly appreciated.

My nephew is 17 and he has two younger sisters: 14 and 10. All three of these youngsters are High Functioning Autistic Children with secondary Social Disorders and other medical conditions including heart, musculoskeletal and connective tissue conditions. Their mother also suffers from Fibromyalgia and possibly Lupus. Since all three children and my sister have complex medical conditions and the children are special needs, there are multiple daily therapy, doctor and sensory appointments. Due the the overwhelming and scattered appointment times and types, my sister is unable to work. This renders the family a one-income, family of five with a house payment, car payment, and utilities. My brother-in-law works full-time, but his income doesn’t make a dent in this economically challenged times. They are presently without a stove and hoping and praying that the local community services will help them obtain one. They are also working with only one vehicle as both broke down in January. One they were able to pay to repair but that used all of their money for bills and food.

All that said, my 17 year old nephew has been invited on a professional Paleontology dig this summer. My nephew is an aspiring Paleontologist with a love for Science, Math, Engineering, Space and Robotics. He is also very high scoring in all of the above subjects, but has chosen Paleontology as his profession of choice.

The dig is in Utah and requires that he have at least one adult with him, as he is and will still be a minor at the time of the dig. He is also required to pay his own way including equipment, dig fee, personal permit fee, transportation, lodging, food, cost of purchasing any relics he finds that are worth keeping, and any other incidental expenses that may arise.

From his first marriage, my brother-in-law has a daughter that he hasn’t seen in over 20 years. Not from lack of want, mostly from situations out of his and her control, but also due to a financial position.

Because this opportunity would lend a further chance of the children being able to meet their stepsister, my sister being able to meet her stepdaughter and my brother-in-law being able to reunite with his daughter, the whole family would like to go. Furthermore, this would offer a once-in-lifetime opportunity for the whole family to visit Yellowstone National Park.

I wish I could provide the funds necessary to ensure this trip happening, but I am unable to do so.

All children are special, and I am their Aunt and I am naturally biased. These youngsters are all love. Everything they do from the gifts they make to give to people they love, to the acceptance they have of all walks of life. They love with their entire beings.

To make this trip happen, I am asking for a donation for them in the amount of $10,000. This amount would cover:

  • Round-trip airfare for the entire family
  • Lodging
  • Rental car
  • Food
  • Dig fees for 2
  • Personal permit fees for 2
  • Funds for any relics that are found worth keeping
  • Entry to Yellowstone National Park
  • Any unforseen additional expenses

I truly appreciate your time, generosity and consideration for our request. Please help me make a young man’s dream come true and reunite a family!

God bless!

Military Family – Tuition and Moving

Hello, we are a military family. We have been stationed abroad for the last four years. To many, this would seem like a dream and I was so hopeful it would be! But we are what is called ‘remote’ and it is not easy. Not even a little. Right before we left, I lost both my parents. I can not describe the devastation, the emptiness, or how much it has changed me.

While here I’ve had two very difficult pregnancies and we are so grateful to say that our daughters are everything to us. Due to complications, there will not be anymore babies. Although we wish for more. My husband is estranged from his family (despite our efforts to rebuild and repair) He also works overnight shifts so barring the occasional phone call from a friend, I am alone. We’ve spent our savings just trying to make life work here. Medical mostly and baby supplies.

We are coming home soon and there are two things we need desperately. $3000 for moving expenses (we spent more than that coming here. It’s not all covered, or it is eligible for reimbursement) and $5000 for tuition.

I desperately need to complete my degree this year. I stopped for all the above reasons but if I could finish (I am not legally allowed to work here) when we return, I could get a better job and elevate my family. Please, if you are able to help us get home- our cat included – or help me finish my degree you will greatly impact our four lives. I have business ideas but I need to finish school first. I could pay it forward but I have to get to a better position first.

For the last four years it feel like we have been floating in a raft in the middle of the ocean, surviving at best – but returning… returning feels like we are going to fall off the edge of the world. I am scared about what life looks like this by the end of this year. If you are able to help us, please, paypal.me/hollerfamily is the best way. Thank you.

If you would like updates, please attach a message and I can share our progress with you. Thank you and God Bless you Thank you and God Bless you Thank you and God Bless you Thank you and God Bless you Thank you and God Bless you

Looking for a Blessing

Hello world, I never thought I would be attempting something like this. But, I believe that I have come across this platform for a reason and hopefully I’d be blessed by a beautiful soul. I heard about this a few years ago but I guess I wasn’t ready to reach out. I am making this request because it breaks my heart to see us (my husband and I ) work so hard only to not get far. We live paycheck to paycheck and haven’t been able to save money to buy a house or pay off our debts.
I strongly believe that if I were to be blessed, I can finally achieve our goal of paying off all our debts and actually have some money to put towards a down payment for a home that is actually warm in the winter.
I’m not asking for someone to buy me a home. More so, help get the ball rolling and since we are hard working people we can take care of the rest of the mortgage. I really hope that I’m not asking for too much and if it seems like it is, then I sincerely apologize. My intentions are not to offend anyone. I just want to be able to get that fresh start moment in life where we can finally feel like all the hard work and time invested isn’t just in vain and paying someone else’s mortgage. Being able to live in a house I can call our own, would be a dream come true! Not just that, but it would be healing. I stopped and listened and here I am taking a leap of faith . In hopes that someone helps make my wish come true. https://py.pl/UKiYMadwtIOlYR8KJGCahg

A Chance to Stand Again

My partner and I fell in love quietly, hoping the world would let us be. We never asked for much, we were happy, smiling mostly, living in the world where everyone want to be I guess but just to live honestly and together.

For years, we worked in our families’ business in Hamilton. We poured our hearts into it, gave all our energy, skipped nights out, and sacrificed our own dreams, believing we were building a future. But when they found out we were gay, everything changed. We were left with nothing — no money, no home, no support. The business, the families, the life we worked for… it all stayed without us.

Now, every day is a struggle, we are supporting each other, though we cry often, feel helpless sometimes. We count coins just to eat, search for warmth on cold nights, and wonder if anyone will see us. Some days it feels unbearable. But we keep going, because giving up would mean losing each other, too.

We are not asking for charity forever. We are asking for a chance — a chance to stand on our own feet. With $25,000, we could start a small business, pay rent, buy food, and slowly rebuild our lives with safety and dignity.

We do not want luxury. We only want hope, a place to breathe, and the chance to show the world that love does not make you unworthy. If kindness still exists, we hope it finds us.

Raising Children Urgent Help Needed

Hi my name is Paulo, I have never done this before but here I am reaching out with a very heavy heart deep and humility to ask for your help for my children. I am a father of 2 boys and despite of having 2 jobs, I am struggling to  provide for their most basic needs ie. food, rent, school fees, medical maintenance, etc. As a parent, it is incredibly painful to face the truth that love is not enough and I need a little help financially to support my children to ensure they cared for, safe and be able to provide and get through this hardship.

This all started after marriage brooked up. No vices or bad habits I just focus on raising my boys. After almost 4 year with this situation, my credit card has been maxed out and barely managing to pay the interest, my paycheck is not enough to get by after paying rent and utilities, I am $3,000 behind on their school fees. I applied multiple times applying for payday loan but have been declined.

I am urgent trying to raise fund to cover the essential needs as mentioned  above (food, rent, school fees, medicine), any amount you can spare no matter how small it is would make a big difference in their life and my included.

Thank you very much from the bottom of my heart for reading this far and for any kindness you can offer. Your support will never be forgotten.

Please see below link for any donation

I Very Humbly Request

Hello.

My name is Geri, I’m 62 and 3/4’s, just trying to figure out if it was me that made all the mistakes. I’m pretty certain it was me, who else?!

Long story hopefully short, following a divorce after a long marriage I moved away to take care of my father with Parkinson’s. My first month I met a woman who scammed me horribly. I ended up losing everything but mostly my  credit has completely changed my life.  Prior to moving to assist my father, I had great credit and co- signed for my daughters car.

Now I can’t even buy a car for myself.  Being somewhat, well I mean extremely ignorant, I sold my suv too soon. It was too big and could barely afford to put gas in it. However, I never meant to not have a car to replace it!  What I’m ignorant about is thinking these car sales people were really telling me the truth.

Bottom line they weren’t, it’s now been 9 months without a car and now my credit isn’t much better after looking for a car.

What I’m asking for is the down payment of $5,000.00.

I finally have a car in the works and they told me yesterday I needed a bigger down payment.

I’m on a tight budget (aren’t we all) but I can swing a small car payment which is why I’m buying used. The banks won’t fund an old beater car with lots of miles but I found a car lot that actually has decent used cars and is working with me.

I’m shocked there is a website like this and could I ever use help right now.

I’m grateful for any kind of help, especially prayers as I’m tired and I don’t want to ramble on but life’s been harder than ever in my older age, and I feel I’m overdue for a break.

One Car Accident Away From Stability — Help a Family Stay Housed

Hello, and thank you for reading.

I am a single parent asking for help after a no-fault car accident destroyed my only vehicle just days after I purchased it. I rely on my car to work, and without it, I cannot earn income.

Last summer, my child and I experienced housing instability and periods of homelessness. While I worked hard to keep life as normal as possible for him, the instability took a toll on his mental health and led to struggles at school. Since then, with structure, support, and incredible effort on his part, he has made meaningful progress emotionally and academically. Securing stable housing was essential to protecting that progress. In January, after carefully scraping together the resources to purchase a vehicle so I could return to work, I was involved in an accident caused by a loose cow on a rural highway—only three days after buying the car. The vehicle was totaled. Because it was so newly purchased, I am now financially upside down, owing money on a car I no longer have.

Although I was not at fault, insurance has not provided timely or adequate help, and the party responsible for the livestock has not resolved the claim. As a result, I am left without transportation and without income at a critical time.

I work as a courier, and reliable transportation is not optional—it is required to earn a living. Without a car, I cannot work, and even a short disruption puts rent and housing stability at risk .My goal is $5,000 to help purchase a modest, reliable used vehicle and cover basic registration and immediate repairs so I can return to work right away. This would restore my income, allow me to stay current on rent, and prevent another housing crisis for my family.

This request is not for anything extra—only the ability to work, pay rent, and maintain stability for my child after an already difficult year.

Any amount truly helps, and I am deeply grateful for your kindness and support.

Thank you for reading and for considering helping my family during this critical moment. My paypal is https://www.paypal.me/neverlookback42087

Helping My Family Stay Housed During a Difficult Season

Thank you for taking a moment to read this.
I’m a parent doing everything I can to keep life stable for my family—especially for my son, who has special needs and depends on routine and consistency to feel safe. We are now facing eviction, utility shutoffs, and food insecurity after I unexpectedly lost my job and exhausted every resource trying to stay afloat.
I never imagined being in this position. For months, I used my savings, maxed out my credit card, and stretched every dollar while searching for work. Despite my best efforts, we’ve reached a point where I can’t keep up with the basics on my own.
I’m hoping to raise $6,000 USD to stabilize our situation and prevent things from getting worse. These funds would go directly toward:
• Overdue rent to stop eviction
• Restoring essential utilities
• Groceries and basic necessities
• Catching up on critical bills
• Reducing part of the credit card balance used for survival expenses
This support isn’t about long‑term dependence. It’s about creating enough breathing room for me to secure income, rebuild stability, and keep a consistent home environment for my son—something that is especially important for his emotional and developmental well‑being.
Asking for help is incredibly hard, but I’m doing it because my child’s safety comes first. If you’re able to give, share, or even send a kind message, it truly means more than I can express.
Thank you for reading, and thank you for caring.

A Personal Request for Help

I never imagined I would be writing something like this. Asking for help does not come easily to me, and I want to be very honest about that from the beginning. For most of my life, I’ve believed deeply in showing up for others—family, friends, neighbors, and anyone who needed a helping hand. Whenever someone was short on rent, behind on a bill, or simply needed support during a hard season, I did what I could to help. I never expected anything in return. It was just the right thing to do.

Today, I find myself on the other side of that equation.

About seven months ago, I was laid off unexpectedly. Like many people, I believed I would be back on my feet quickly. I applied, interviewed, followed up, and kept pushing forward with optimism. Unfortunately, the job market has been far more difficult than I anticipated, and the months passed faster than I ever thought possible. Despite doing everything I could to stretch savings, cut expenses, and stay afloat, the financial strain has become overwhelming.

The hardest part of this journey has been watching the pressure fall on my family. We’ve done our best to stay strong and hopeful, but the weight of falling behind on our mortgage has been incredibly stressful. Right now, I need $12,000 to fully catch up and stabilize our situation. That amount would allow us to breathe again, protect our home, and focus on rebuilding without the constant fear of losing everything we’ve worked for.

I want to be clear: any amount helps. Whether it’s $10, $25, $100, or simply sharing this message with others, it all matters more than I can put into words. I’m not asking for a handout—I’m asking for a hand up during one of the most difficult seasons of my life.

This request comes with deep humility and gratitude. I don’t take support lightly, and I promise that once I am back on my feet, I will continue living the values I always have—helping others, giving back, and paying kindness forward whenever I can.

If you’ve ever known me as someone who shows up, who gives when others are struggling, or who believes in doing right by people, I hope you’ll consider helping me and my family now. Your generosity—financial or otherwise—means more than you may ever know.

Thank you for reading, for caring, and for being part of our story during this challenging time.

With sincere gratitude,

Help Disabled Veteran Avlon & Her Teenage Daughter Reunite – Urgent Need for a Home to Qualify for Liver Transplant

Help Disabled Veteran Avlon & Her Teenage Daughter Reunite – Urgent Need for a Home to Qualify for Liver Transplant

Hello, my name is Avlon. I am a disabled female veteran and a single mother to a teenage daughter. I am humbly asking for help during the most difficult time of our lives.

I am a disabled female veteran living with PTSD, depression, and anxiety.

  • I need to be placed on the liver transplant list due to long‑term damage from severe pancreatitis, not alcohol use.
  • I am currently in a nursing home/rehab facility, about 2 hours away from my family, because I am too weak and I do not have a home to return to.
  • To qualify for the liver transplant list and receive palliative care, VA in‑home care, and county IHSS services, I must first have a stable home address.
  • My teenage daughter has been in therapy for years and struggles with PTSD, depression, and anxiety after being abused by her father while I was hospitalized.
  • We still have nightmares of him “finding us” and “killing us,” based on threats he made. Even with therapy, those fears still linger.
  • I am asking for help with:
  • First month’s rent, last month’s rent, and a security deposit for a small home
  • Moving costs and storage fees
  • Basic household start‑up supplies (bed, basic furniture, kitchen items, cleaning supplies, etc.)
  • My out‑of‑date vehicle registration, so I can get to appointments and see my daughter
  • Help for my daughter to get her driver’s license, so she can be more independent and able to visit me
  • My goal is to raise around $8,000 to cover these needs.
  • Donations can be sent via PayPal at: masonavlon29@gmail.co

About ten years ago, my life changed completely. I became very sick with severe pancreatitis and spent about one full year in the hospital. I almost died. The damage from that illness has now led to liver failure, and I need to get onto the liver transplant list to have a chance at surviving.

My condition is not from drinking or alcohol use. It is the result of that pancreatitis and the long‑term complications from it.

While I was in the hospital back then, my daughter was only about 5½ to 6½ years old. When I finally came home after that year, she told me that her father had been molesting her while I was hospitalized.

I left him immediately—the same day she told me. I reported him to the police, filed for a restraining order, and then filed for divorce. Over the years, he violated the restraining order multiple times, but I fought back each time. I eventually secured a permanent restraining order for life, and I was able to get my daughter’s last name changed so she no longer has to carry his name.

My daughter has been in therapy ever since, and she is still in therapy today. She struggles with PTSD, depression, and anxiety, just like I do. We both still wake up from nightmares of him “finding us” and “killing us,” because those were the threats he used to make. Therapy has helped, but the fear and trauma are still very real.

Today, I am in a nursing home/rehab facility, trying to get stronger with physical therapy so I can qualify for a liver transplant. The only thing keeping me from going home is that I have no home to go to. I am about two hours away from my daughter and my elderly mother. They both call me crying, telling me how much they miss me. It breaks my heart that my daughter, after everything she has been through, can’t even have her mom nearby.

To qualify for the liver transplant list, and to receive palliative care, VA in‑home care, and IHSS (In‑Home Supportive Services) from the county, I need a safe, stable place to live. Right now, that is the biggest barrier between me and the medical care that could save my life.

I am humbly asking for help to:

  • Secure housing: first month’s rent, last month’s rent, and a security deposit for a small, safe place for me to live
  • Cover moving and storage costs so I can bring my belongings out of storage
  • Get basic household supplies so my home is livable (a bed, basic furniture, kitchen items, bathroom items, cleaning supplies, etc.)
  • Fix my vehicle registration, which is out of date, so I can use my car for medical appointments and to see my family
  • Help my teenage daughter get her driver’s license, giving her some independence and a way to come see me more easily

My goal is to raise about $8,000 to cover these needs and finally have a safe place to call home, so I can:

  • Get onto the liver transplant list
  • Receive the in‑home care I qualify for
  • Reunite with my teenage daughter and elderly mother, instead of being two hours away in a facility

I am not asking for luxury—just a basic, stable home, a chance to get lifesaving medical care, and the ability to be a present mother to my daughter during the years I still have.

If you are able to help in any way—large or small—it would mean more than I can express. Even sharing my story is a form of help.

Donations can be sent via PayPal to: masonavlon29@gmail.com

From the bottom of my heart, thank you for reading my story and for caring about me and my daughter.

You contribution would be greatly appreciated

Hello, I am a Christian sixty one year old woman. I currently live in a two bedroom apartment in a old grade school. I discovered a beautiful home by the Cedar River and a state park in northeast Iowa located between Waverly and Janesville Iowa. I am seeking financial support to purchase this property it is listed for $369,000.00. This is a far reach for me to afford in my present situation. I am employed full time as a receptionist at a local veterinary clinic, this gives me the needed funds to live at the property, taxes, insurance, upkeep and utilities. I unfortunately do not have the finances for the  purchase. Also, my friend is close to retirement, we would love to spend our golden years at this property, enjoying days with our family and friends. I would be able to set up my weaving room and teach weaving classes on my 100 year old looms. I would run a home-based business of exterior porch decorating and design. Jeff would enjoy the small river environment and nature. I recently explored the Brave Thinking Institute platform and feel this is not a good fit, that is when I searched further to see if there would be another opportunity. I am a humble hardworking woman who needs a chance to live and fully experience the final chapters of her life. Thank you for reading, your consideration and gift would be appreciated beyond words. It would be a blessing to say to Jeff, “hunny, I purchased a home, let’s live a life together” I do have a paypal and venmo account. Email mlkoth2010@gmail.com

Student life crisis

Hello, my name is Reynhard. I am a student in university and i am in the process of doing my bachelors in mechatronic engineering. I  am currently struggling to finance my degree.

The only person who has hope left for my future is me and i would genuinely appreciate any help. I have overcome my depression and am try to see the beauty in everything. When i sit outside and see the colorful sky; i tell myself to not lose hope, because if i keep trying everyday then the sky might look even more beautiful tomorrow.

I was never rich or spoiled growing up, but i lost my dad a few years back, 2023, and it completely  devastated me, and made me feel like nothing was worth it anymore. Due to my dads hopes and dreams for me, I used the funds he left me to financed a year of my degree. My older brother also got a smaller amount of money due to him being older. Then (mid 2024) he asked me if he could borrow money because he was not doing well at the time, because he said he will pay for my college and support me when he gets back on his feat, this kept on for a while because i had trust in him. At the end of 2025, he kicked me out of the house and the reserve money i kept aside is currently paying for my food and lodging close to the campus i study at, but i have no way of paying for my college tuition and the only person i had that i could’ve relied on was my brother for money. My other family are all also selfish people and my mother was an alcoholic since i was young and had never supported my upbringing, the only person i had to rely on my whole life was my dad.

I am coping with the enormous everyday anxiety of what to do and how to make money. I have tried making content videos, but ultimately it was not worth most peoples attention. I have also tried asking my college if there are any financial aide or alternatives i could try and they just shunned me off because i was failing in a few modules and said most people won’t support failing students. This was devastating because studying and working fill-time will only cause me more setbacks, or this is how i feel. This won’t stop me from trying every possible way of supporting myself and i will work everyday after school making content, reviews or even if it is necessary getting a full-time job and taking my studying slower.

I have never wanted a lot and being rich wasn’t one of them. I just want to be an engineer. I just want to be able to keep trying. Life can also sometimes be beautiful as long as you wait out the storm.  paypal.me/ReyRey0206
