Due to my lack of self-love, I allowed mental and physical abuse, infidelity, and financial instability to break my spirit. One night, I borrowed a rental car from a friend and fell asleep at a stoplight. The police found drugs in the car, and I took the charges. After almost two years, I was charged with an offense that could take away the rest of my time.

When I received the charges two years later, my whole world stopped. My dreams shattered, and everything came to a halt. I hired an attorney with the little money I had saved to start a business and had to pay a $50,000 bond. I went broke with a $4,000 retainer and $1,600 monthly payments since last October. This attorney did nothing to help, ignored my instructions, and only offered me a plea deal of 16 to 32 years or to write a summary incriminating myself and others, which I refused to do.

During this time, I wrote a letter to a highly reputable lawyer, explaining my story. Although I couldn’t afford his services, he helped me for free, advising that the search was illegal and providing materials to file a motion. However, he wanted to remain anonymous.

My attorney refused to file the motion, claiming we would lose, and withdrew from my case, taking $12,600 with no solution. Since then, I’ve tried to gather money within the 45 days given by the judge. At my last court date, I had to sign a motion to defend myself and set the trial for November, or take the 16 to 32 years, or get an attorney and be blessed with a chance to have a real life.

This last month has been the roughest time in my life, and I am at the point of giving up. I’m 50 years old, have been out for more than five years, and want to live, not just exist. I want my kids to be proud of me, and I want to love myself again and be confident that I am doing what our Creator intended me to do and be at peace for once. I want to get married, love someone who loves me, and share life with them.

Last week, my boyfriend broke up with me, and I left the house with half my stuff and nowhere set to go. I have a 200-pound dog, little money, and court in seven days. The public defender’s office is not willing to fight and needs financial records that I don’t have. I spent the money I had out here. He took the car and left me with nothing but my dog. I’m on the stock market but have nothing to invest, and I’m pretty sure he moved in an old roommate of ours. I’m trying to focus and figure out a plan, but I’m lost and need help. Please, so I can get an attorney. I will even pay you back, but I only have seven days. Court is on the 19th of August. Recently Unemployed with Special Needs Child to care for

Hello, my name is Andrea.

I’m a mother of two young boys, the younger is autistic and non-verbal. This brings a lot of challenges on its own, but I recently became unemployed and my husband and I are currently struggling to pay for everything that it’s needed.

The mortgage alone takes about 60% of my husbands salary, and then there are the groceries and bills to add to that. We’ve already had to cut down and give up on some health and therapy expenses to maintain the house, but the lack of support is taking a toll on our family. My youngest has been having a crisis since earlier this year. He can get very destructive and even hurt himself badly on the head. The public health services have failed us over and over again, and we’ve had to take him to private health care which costs us 100 euros per appointment. He is currently on medication, but it only does so much.

Our oldest son has developed serious anxiety issues having to live through his little brother’s crisis, and has also received therapy and medication.

If we can get the mortgage expenses down, we will be able to provide them with the proper support they need whilst maintaining a roof over our head.

Autism Wife & Mother Needs help.

My name is Karina and I have never done this before but I am desperate. In the past for years we have just been hurting. In 2021 we lost a baby. In 2022 my father has a stroke and died. In 2023 both my grandmothers died, one had a stroke in my arms as we waiting for the paramedics. Then we got news my mother had stage 2 breast cancer that jumped to stage 4 breast cancer in 3 months.I am a mother to a Level 2 autistic child who is great . I left my job to become a full time homeschool teacher and caregiver to my son. We couldn’t afford daycare while I was helping take care of my mother and son. I used all my savings and we can’t afford to lose the job my husband has currently. We had to emergency move into my in laws 2 hours away in the desert. My cars A/C broke 3 weeks ago and it’s been 110 in the desert. We have no choice still but to drive back and fourth. I want to be able to purchase an 5th wheel RV because then I can afford to be closer to my husbands job while I take care of my son. Saves gas and tears because the 2 hour drive has my husband stay all week away from us as he at times either sleeps at my cousins or at the job in the break room at times. Which gives my son full anxiety as it’s change and he wants to see his dad who used to read him to bed daily. Every week gets harder and I just like to breath without feeling like I’m drowning. It’s getting harder to afford things. If I can raise enough to have a home that my son can have his father back daily, then my heart would stop breaking daily because from the beginning of 2020 I have been so crushed with lose that I just can’t bare anymore pain and seeing my son cry daily hurts because he doesn’t understand. On the brink of divorce

I’m in a desperate and urgent situation that could end up my marriage.

I am a 33 year-old male, married for 4 years to a 36 year-old female and we have a 2 year-old son. We bought a house a few weeks ago.

I recently lost my job and I have been struggling to find a new one. I have been working as a Trade Assistant for almost a year, but being a casual position, I was thinking leaving for a permanent more stable role. Now I will be honest, my own actions led me to have to quit earlier than expected (I have been really late several times in a short period of time…), and I started a new job just after that. It was a permanent position, with a good pay. But for some reason it didn’t work out as I hoped it would, and I was laid off by the company after only a month.

I’ve been struggling to find another job since, which put a lot of pressure on my wife who can only work part-time.

To make matters worse, during that time, my car broke down and she had to pay the repairs using our mortgage money. Thankfully we managed to recover that money just in time with the help of family and friends. But they won’t be able to help us like this.

On the bright side, I’m hopeful that I will find a job this week, but I won’t get paid before the next one, too late for the next mortgage payment.

My wife is blaming me for all the situation and rightfully so. I meant well but what I did was stupid and is threatening my home.

I’m responsible for this mess and I have to do whatever it takes to fix it.

So here I am, hoping that some kind hearted people would be able to help me.

I need help to avoid eviction

I am seeking assistance to avoid eviction. I care for my disabled brother while I work from home, and I am a wife of a disabled veteran. Although I work, we have a very tight budget. My husband’s monthly income is normally used to pay rent. I am responsible for all other household bills such as prescription refills, utilities, groceries, household items, cable and internet. (The internet is required due to me working from home.)

Our utility company has had ongoing issues with its equipment and billing. They performed some kind of investigation of the equipment due to potential incorrect charges. As a result, customers’ bills were being delayed. I was one of thousands impacted by this. For me, it began October 2022 to August 2023 and then again February 2024. I did not get a bill for 10 months the first time. Then I received multiple estimated bills at once, threatening to disconnect without a payment. They offered to make payment arrangements; however, I was required to make a 25% down payment to qualify for an arrangement. I was fortunate to be able to make the 25% down payment and everything was on track until February 2024. The bills stopped coming again. I continued to pay what my bill averaged every month hoping that when they get the issue resolved, I wouldn’t have a large bill like the first time.
[My car was stolen in November 2023 and was totaled. So now, until I can get another car, I have to order everything online and pay for rides when I need to go somewhere.]
But just as before, I received multiple estimated bills within days if each other, threatening to disconnect without a payment. This time the monthly rate was triple what I was accustomed to paying even though none of my habits have changed when it comes to how my utilities are used. To qualify for a payment arrangement and avoid disconnection, I had to pay $1403. (25% plus one month due to the billing cycle) I am disputing the accuracy of the bill but I was still required to pay while they do their due diligence. We only have one utility company here which left me no choice. So, to avoid disconnection and continue to be able to work, I had to use the rent money to keep the utilities active. This was unexpected and has created a huge financial hardship for me/us. The rent for August is now late and late fees have been applied to my balance. Normally eviction proceedings begin on August 15th. The property manager has given me an extension to pay $139$1391.50 ($1265 for rent and $126.50 late fee) by August 21st to avoid court, court costs and eviction. As I stated before, we are on a very tight budget, living paycheck to paycheck and I have no other means to come up with the money to avoid eviction. I have contacted multiple charities in my area with no luck.
In summary, delayed billing for my utilities created a financial hardship that could leave my family and myself homeless. I am asking for assistance ($1391.50) to get back on track and avoid eviction.

HOME AND CAR REPAIR AND FENCING HELP NEEDED

Hi, I am a 62 year old widow, who lives on a fixed income and my home has major issues , things that need repair. One major issue is my roof of my home leaks terribly, which is causing major mold issues in my walls. I have tried to repair my roof over the past years , but I haven’t had much luck and unfortunately I am no longer able to climb up on my roof and even attempt to fix it. Because of the leaks my house is being taken over by mold. The mold is in the walls and I am worried about health issues it may be causing or may cause in the future. My floor is another issue. I have never been able to get a real floor so I just painted it. i could go on and on about issues in my own, in reality I probably need a new home or this one to be refurbished. But since I cant afford that and never will be able to afford that, I am hoping at the very least perhaps I will be able to find help at least for my roof. I have a vehicle that I own luckily because i live on the out skirts of town and it is my only means to be able to get food from town. My vehicle is getting old and is in need of repair and desperately is in need of new tires. Another thing that I will never have money for, especially this day in age. I have worked hard to survive since my husband died of cancer. I have managed to at least get this home and pay it off, and thank God I own it. People don’t take care of there dogs and there are many packs of dogs that just run around loose. The fence keeps my baby safe, or should I say did. 56 year old terminated in an email haven’t had to look for work in 30 years Unemployment running out

Hello, my name is Stacey I will be turning 56 in a few days.  My ex husband of 28 years and I worked for the same company for 13 years.  he is the GM and I was the Office Manager/Financial Admin.  I was terminated in an email on February 9th 2024 with no explanation and no previous disciplinary action.  For the past 30 years I have worked independently as a commissioned loan officer and for the past 19 years I have worked from home as the Office Manager Financial Admin for an RV repair business.   My unemployment is running out after 6 months as I have not secured employment.  I do receive $2300 in spousal support which pays my rent and utilities and that is it.  I have 3 credit card bills that I haven’t been able to pay, my car needs to be fixed and the registration is due.  I no longer have medical insurance and I have an autoimmune disease.   I took what little money I had and am starting a reselling business which I hope to start earning some income,  and hope to find online work doing bookkeeping.  For the next 6 months I won’t be receiving anything from unemployment.   I haven’t had to look for work in 30 years.  I have been one to help others in need and I’m hoping that someone is kind enough to help me in this uncertain time.   In 2019, I got divorced, sold my house, lost my mother, and then Covid.  I know there are others out there in worse situations than me, everyone seems to be struggling these days.  My credit has always been good up until now and I’m fearful of how this will affect my future.   Thank you for taking the time to read this.  God Bless You.
