On my last straw

I’m not in the habit of asking and have always practiced paying it forward, but now I guess this is my test and that is to ask for help. I’m a hard working, honest father of 4 and have definitely experienced some curve balls making things challenging. I was all good until covid where my job was forcing me to take the jab. I refused because It did not make since to me and was not part of my belief system. I had already experienced covid twice with no ill effects and that included my entire household of 10 people. My job let me go in 2021. Since then I have hustled and made ends get close to meeting, but now my well is running dry. I have been homeless 3 times as an adult, but not with a family. I have 9 others soon to be 11 depending on me at this point and I need to make it happen. My lady has medical issues that prevent her from working, her oldest daughter( my unofficial step-daughter) is currently pregnant with twins, I took in the great grandmother that needs to be cared for as she has a host of medical conditions, I have 2 small girls with my lady, one of which is on the autism spectrum, my lady has 2 older children from a previous relationship, 1 is the pregnant daughter and the other is a teenaged son also on the autism spectrum, I have 2 children from a previous relationship, my silly teenaged daughter with ADHD and my teenaged son also on the spectrum, but is on the higher end and doing pretty well due to a lot of hard work, and we have my lady’s sister that moved in from out of state to help with the great grandmother when her sister (my lady) started experiencing her medical difficulties, but as with me, it’s rough out there and she’s looking for work again. According to recent changes, my old job that let me go in 2021 is to take me back. I have already interviewed and also acquired more certification since I last worked there. I am told I should start back in May which is where part of my issues is because I have drained every source of money, savings, credit and life insurance benefit I have to keep going. Even with all this, I have not missed a payment on anything in the last 5 years. I will also provide if needed my proof of responsible payment history if someone would like to help with the debt.

The total monthly expenses are $8,500 excluding food.

My preferred help would be to pay off all debts, but as I said, I also prefer to help others. I was thinking if someone could help me, then I could return the favor by paying forward. This total debt is 90k. I could pay 4k per month for 24 months to a pool or account of choosing which could be used monthly to help others for at least 24 months. This way, the one donation or assistance to me could benefit many others.

Emergency Funds Needed Immediately

First, giving honor to my Lord and Savior for leading me to this platform! I am a man of God who has found himself to be temporarily in need of assistance! I am currently serving as a caregiver to my elderly parents as I await my new ministerial assignment. While caring for family, my investment account of which I survived on, has been frozen, therefore, putting me in a vulnerable financial position. In the meantime, my wife has had to step away from her place of employment to also serve as a caregiver for her mother, of whom has just passed away. She is now tying up loose ends concerning her mother’s affairs.

Currently, I am restarting my own business because of the aforementioned. Along with continually caring for elderly parents via my contributions towards household bills, personal loan payments for vehicles, groceries, phone bill, etc. Unfortunately, it is taking a little longer than expected to get things up and running, especially in dealing with the stress of creditors calling on a regular basis. One minute everything is operating smoothly, and the next minute, the bottom falls out. As I am sure many can attest, life is a journey, and no one is immune to hardship, even though it sometimes comes at the most inopportune times.

Due to the period of my account being frozen and today, time has elapse to where I have fallen behind on car payments, which past due payments are due tomorrow (Friday), or they take the vehicles…rendering my wife and I stranded, thus creating even more of a hardship. We are also working with utility companies concerning utility bills, medical bills, phone bill, at present, we are racing against the clock to bring everything current, to continue caring for my parents and arriving at a place of less stress so that I may continue improving upon my business. All the above, when said, will come to $10,637.79.

It sometimes amazes me that we grew up with an understanding of family taking care of family, but most times, the outcome does not equate to our beliefs. I am humbly asking for assistance in remedying the problems we are facing, with the help of humanity’s kindness and thoughtfulness. Luke 6:38 Give, and it will be given to you. Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap. For with the measure you use it will be measured back to you.”

Please help me…I am stuck.

Look…I don’t know or care if this qualifies. I know more deserving people than myself need help too. But I’m tired of keeping quiet, and I don’t care about the shame. I got to put this out there. I am struggling, I am stuck, and I fear there is no way out of this. I am telling the world that, right now, I am dependent on the kindness of strangers.

I currently have $8,000 remaining of student debt, $730 rent per month, $500 car payments, and $1300 credit card debt, among numerous other bills. In addition, my vehicle is getting older and has some problems which I might not currently afford to fix; nor can I even afford a newer vehicle at this rate.

I am living paycheck-to-paycheck, literally. I am having to support people who are worse off than I am (why don’t I cut them off, you ask? It’s REALLY complicated). My accounts are being drained dry virtually every day, every week. I have no wife, no kids, not even my own house. I have become aggressively aggravated, tired, despondent, hopeless, all of it. I am just barely staying above water, partly because I am working overtime almost every day, especially for the last month, just to be able to make more than enough money to live off for two weeks at a time. And I’ve been struggling to get work done there too, to the point where I’ve considered quitting again and again. But right now, I got nowhere else to go.

Lately this has been getting harder and harder. Just last night I went to bed hungry because I need to save money for buying food the next day. I don’t even get paid for another week. I need groceries, gas, new clothes and shoes, some serious work for my vehicle, etc. I wish I were smarter and more talented to where I could come up with another income stream or two to supplement my income, otherwise I wouldn’t be doing this now. (And yes, there is a reason why I am not working two jobs right now. I’ve been down that road and that was brutal. I don’t even want to look back on that.)

I’m not even asking for a million bucks, OK? Not even a hundred grand, not even 50k. If I had even a few thousand dollars extra, right now, I’d take care of some problems—namely this car note, a few months’ worth of loan payments, even helping out a friend who is in more dire straits than I am—and free myself up to help others. I don’t forget favors, see? Even if you don’t ask to be paid back, I will do my best to pay it forward. I am in need, and it’s killing me. Without extra cash, I am inflexible. I can’t move forward in life. I’m stuck with just hoping I win the lottery, find something to create or sell, or hope that a kind stranger out there—someone, anyone—hears my plea. I need a break. Seriously. I need a MF break.

From the bottom of my heart, to anyone who gives, thank you, thank you immensely. And even if I’m struggling majorly with my faith right now, I, somewhere in my exhausted heart, still do believe in miracles. May God bless all of you who read and give.

I’m That Girl!

Hello!

My name is Kennedy! I am a single mother of 2 amazing children, 9yo daughter and 4yo son. I recently left my abusive partner, and the games of “I’m taking the kids from you” have started. I need $7500 ASAP, for a lawyer to retain custody of my children. Any little bit helps!

I have always been the primary caretaker for my children, if not the only caretaker. My ex is 15 years older than me, I allowed him to manipulate and abuse me for years, and now I have to fight for myself and my children. He has left bruises all over my body, given me black eyes, cursed me in front of my kids, and I stayed because I didn’t have the money to fight him doing this. I know God is watching over me though, and he is going to guide me through this.

Thank you, tremendously.

Hope in Hardship: Supporting Our Journey to Stability

First, thank you for reading this. I am a cancer survivor, with other medical issues, living on a modest social security income. Last year I moved in with my disabled adult son and his father so we could pool our resources in these trying times. My son had recieved ssi as a child, and we are in the process of trying to get it reinstated for him. He was recently in a bad car wreck and broke his ankle so badly  it required pins and screws to repair. His father suffers from COPD, has a massive hernia that needs surgery, and a herniated disc in his back, but the man was still working until february when the company he had worked for for over 13 years let him go. His lung doctor recommended he apply for disabilty, as his COPD has gotten considerably worse, he is unable to even walk to the mailbox without gasping, coughing, and hitting his rescue inhaler. We have managed to keep afloat this far awaiting social security’s decision (he does have representation), but now find we have a cut off notice on the electric bill and car insurance due shortly (my modest income was not enough to cover all our bills). I am asking for anything you can spare to help keep us afloat. Thank you so much for your consideration, and may God bless you.

Family With Newborn Baby Needing Assistance

Hello!

I am a young mother and this is a bit of our story and last resource I am utilizing to help us get out of this intense financial struggle we are facing.

My husband unexpectedly lost his job after we discovered we were expecting our second baby.

We had just used up the little savings that we had towards a down payment on a better vehicle that would accommodate our growing family, with no expectation of any sudden job changes.

He found work again not much later but we fell behind on our car payment during the waiting period, and we were close to losing our apartment.

We both worked our hardest to get caught up and were about to pay what we needed to when we discovered the apartment we were in had a black mold issue so all we had saved up went towards getting into a mold free apartment for the health of our family.

On top of paying a higher rent, and pregnancy/baby costs, and all the other costs of living and both of us fighting depression and anxiety we couldn’t make our car payment for a few months..

We are struggling to make ends meet now but are managing and are hopeful that all our needs will be met…

We are too far behind on our payment and they won’t take the repossession claim off the car until we pay the entire balance (Over $3000 now).

It’s almost $1000 a month for car payment and insurance (since I began adulthood with poor credit thanks to my parents letting all my medical bills go to collections.)

We are willing to walk/bike everywhere if that means keeping our family together and safe/healthy but we would be beyond appreciative of any assistance to possibly keep our car.

We are working on some side hustles and certifications that will be able to drastically improve our financial situation but also need some new phones and a laptop to help improve our efficiency in this.

We also have some pretty high dental bills that we will be needing to pay soon.

We are truly just a pure hearted and loving little family that are doing all we can to stay together and not let the stress and chaos of life tear us down/apart.

We want more than anything to leave a positive imprint on this world and we know some day we will be able to pay forward the blessings that someone else was so willing to do for us.

THANK YOU, from the bottom of my heart.

May you know love, peace, and joy all the days of your life. 🦋💚

Small family facing massive hardship

Hello, and thank you very much for your time and consideration.

Our names are Levi and Vanessa. We are 31 & 41 years old residing in the mountaintops of Reserve, New Mexico. We run a small homestead here and have for the last three years. Before arriving here, we had our camper with countless irreplaceables along with everything else that we owned including all important documents and every piece of clothing we had accumulated together up until that point, stolen from us, which really set us back to say the least. We then faced living in a tent and the worst financial hardship we had ever faced in our lives together. We made it here and had very different expectations as far as being able to survive went. Finding and keeping stable work here is a challenge for anyone honestly, especially when you lose your vehicle and you live 11 miles outside of the tiniest town with little work opportunity there. It cost roughly $700 to initiate water services with the one provider here. Living without running water and having to collect it has been extremely taxing on not only us but of course also the animals on our property. Rainfall is not plentiful here, and also having lost our vehicle about 3 months ago puts us in a very rough position trying to keep everyone in water. It is causing physical and of course mental anguish not being able to properly clean ourselves or our home. Over the three years that we have been here we have put our animals ahead of ourselves in every aspect possible. We come here to ask of the kind-hearted folks on this website to consider helping us one, to help fund the initiation of water services. And two, to help fund better fencing for our animals and our property, as we have been threatened by the livestock investigators and local law enforcement to have our animals removed after we had elk destroy our fencing and didn’t have the funds to replace them adequately and regularly have animals escape and wander.

If you have made it this far I just want to let you know how much we greatly appreciate your time and consideration once again, if you have nothing to give, a simple share is all we ask. Thank you so much and have a great day.

Need a little help to help someone I care about

I live with an older person who can hardly walk because of a buggered up knee.  This person is afraid to go in for knee sergury for fear of dying on the operating table and among other fears.  This person a few years ago had an electric wheelchair stolen during the night from in front of their home.  They could have replaced her chair had a police report been made but this person was afraid of making the report for personal reasons.  If you could help me with enough to buy a new one I would be forever greatful.  Also. I’m in need of a few more bucks for 2 to train tickets for us to go see my mom before it’s too late, it’s been over 10 years since I’ve seen her,my father passed away and I didn’t make it. I need to see her before it’s too late.  Please help!  Thank you and God bless.

Water heater

I am living in my mom’s home, she passed away in 2022. The home is in my mother’s name and stepfather’s name. He and his friends (one whom is a retired judge) decided to make a will exactly one month to the day she passed. My mother at that time had been on morphine through hospice four days before will was prepared. She was not of sound mind. The will had me removed from  inheriting my birthright. I am her only child. He will not repair anything in the home and I can not afford to buy a water heater that is leaking with buckets of water collecting under it and fear that it will explode any day now. If anyone can help me I would be so grateful. The sad part is I’m beginning to think that’s what he hopes will happen. Thanks for reading. Any advice would gratefully help. Thank you!

Fell behind on bills

Hello, I desperately need your help. I’m in a challenging situation. After helping someone out, I find I need help. Recently, I allowed one of my granddaughters, her three children, ages 8, 12, and 17, and their dog, a Chihuahua named Olivia (her sister could only put up with the dog for two days and then told her sister (the granddaughter staying with me) to come get it before she let it run away; it never stops barking), to move in with me. She lost her apartment because she complained too much about things not getting fixed and needed a place to stay until she could get on her feet while she looked for a place to live. Without regard to my living situation, even though I’m retired and living on a small, fixed income, as I said, I took them in; I couldn’t see them living out in the cold on the street.
My seventy-five-year-old, invalid sister lives with me. I don’t want to put her in a nursing home, not until we can no longer take care of her at home. Her daughter also lives in the house and cares for her mother. Now, bills piled up in my meager home with seven people and a nervous dog that barks incessantly.
I forgot what it was like to have kids in the house. They argued and fought daily, leaving TVs and lights on. I constantly had to tell them, “Close the door. I’m not trying to heat all outside.”
My granddaughter is a hard worker (she truly is). She saved every penny she made for eight weeks so they could move out. During the time they stayed with me, I had to provide food for everyone, including the nervously barking Olivia. Everyone took showers after showers and did laundry, not the kids; they acted as if they didn’t know how to wash dishes or load a dishwasher, which ran daily.
I mostly stayed in my room to avoid the chaos. I only considered my bills once they moved out. I have shutoff notices from the electric company ($687) and a water shutoff notice from the city. As water goes flushing, the toilet uses the most water ($382). And to add insult to injury, my dryer is broken ($699) to replace it.
So please, I would greatly appreciate it if you could help. I want to thank everyone who helps. And if I ever get in the position, I will surely pass it on.

Our home was destroyed in hurricane idalia

Dear friends and generous supporters, On August 30, 2023, our world was shattered by the devastating force of Hurricane Idalia. The home we have cherished for 25 years, where we raised our children and poured our hearts into, was torn from around us. Despite our continuous efforts, FEMA has not been able to provide the assistance we so desperately need. We have finally received approval for a loan from the Small Business Administration (SBA), and we are on the brink of closing on a new home. However, the closing costs have presented an unexpected financial burden of $26500, primarily due to a penalty imposed by SBA for the new home being slightly larger than our previous one. We find ourselves in need of additional support, as we are currently facing a shortfall of $12000. Every contribution, no matter the size, brings us closer to securing our new home and rebuilding our lives. Your kindness and generosity will leave a lasting impact, helping us realize our dream of returning to a place we can call home. We understand the value of hard work, but our income is modest, and the road ahead seems daunting. Your willingness to extend a helping hand during these challenging times will never be forgotten. With heartfelt gratitude, we thank you for considering to support us on this journey to rebuild and start afresh. Your generosity is deeply appreciated.

Had the world served on a silver platter but lost it all when I lost the promised funding.

I don’t even want to write this letter because I know that there are so many others that deserve so much more than what they have but I’m at a time in my life that I have no choice. So here goes… My name is Steve and I’m a 54 yr old that has worked two or three jobs at a time to do what needs done. So I’m no stranger to hard work. I’ve been a cop and a builder a bar tender and a security officer /fire tech at a nuclear power plant. I’ve saved lives and even once ran into a burning building because a child was thought to still be inside. Funny part of that was that once in the affected part of the building the smoke got to be so thick that I dropped to my hands and knees looking for some type of cloth to put over my mouth and nose to cut back some of the smoke. Only to find out once i was back oufside of the fire area that the rag I found on the floor to cover up with was a pair of the renters underwear. Real large gentleman too. But now that we have established that I’m not above laughing at my expierences we can move on. Btw the child was found to be at the neighbors home and not in the building as her mother thought. No injuries that day other than my pride when her husband Identified the undershorts as his when I walked out.

The reason why I’m writing in to this site is because I purchased a new-ish car for my fiancee about 7 months ago and she left me two weeks later giving the car to her new boyfriend. I know it happens in life sometimes it hurts but that’s not where this story ends. After she left I was really down on myself because it was a month before we were to be married (Feb 14th was supposed to be the big day) this being my third attempt at the married life. I’m a divorcee a widower and now left for another.

After she left i needed help with paying bills so I placed an add in Craigslist for needing a roommate. I found a girl that was also down on her luck and tho I was already broke I chose her because she was living in her car. Once she moved in she said that she was on disability but would pay what she could. Reluctantly I agreed to let her stay being the other alternative was she return to her auto apartment. She lived here about a month before telling me the reason she was homeless . she said that she recently lost her parents to illness and is waiting for life ins policy to pay off. She claimed that it was close to 500k and was willing to send me with 10k because I was so nice to her and taking her in when nobody else would.

I thought this was my big break I’ve been waiting for my whole life. I asked and asked her again if this was the truth because I could not believe someone could be so generous. All the while trying to keep in mind how she came about this money so trying not to show my overwhelming excitement.

She Assured me that she was completely honest and I thought, why would she lie she had nothing to gain, she was already living here. She never asked for cash or anything that would tell me scam. all the while over the six months of living here she witnessed my ups and downs when I would cry over my fiance leaving to being poor and not being able to pay bills. Occasionally she would offer me a few dollars to help but never enough to do any good. But I was appreciative for every penny.

Since I knew I had that her money was on the way within the next few weeks I planned to move to Florida where I knew I had a great job waiting. It started me at $115k a year and I knew It was where I needed to be. See we ( fiancee and I) promised her mom that lives in Florida that when she got up in years that we would save our money and as soon as we could afford it we would move there to help with odds and ends. So that’s where I needed to go. Tho my ex-fiancee was not willing to keep her promise to her mom, I was still going to keep mine.

So I called and had that job lined up. They even scheduled me for my drug test here and did the interview online so I was hired and all I needed to do was get there. With the job and move coming up soon I knew I needed a truck so I took my last $2000 and put a down payment on a 2018 Chevy Colorado 4×4 turbo diesel but only after doing all the research to make sure it was all valid since it was an online purchase. At this time I had no current vehicle to go shopping with. Well soon after I gave up my down payment I received a call from the dealer saying he needed more money or he would not deliver my new truck. And I now realized I was scammed. He and I still talk on the phone but its now more name calling and his laughter because he got me.

I told my roommate about the incident and she told me that it was just bad luck and that she could get me a truck not to consirn myself with the guy on the phone. With all the money she had coming I did not doubt her. Two weeks later can you guess wht happened? My roommate went to visit a friend and I haven seen her since. well soon after that my current employer heard that i planned to quit and move to florida and laid me off. He had no issues with me because of my great work ethic and my plan to move because he knew i had good intentions to help my (almost) mother in law but a lay off was coming and since i was leaving anyway…. I explained to him the current position i was in and he was unable to bring me back for financial reasons. So now I’m without a vehicle ,a  roommate to help with bills, without heat in my apt. Without any way of buying a truck or to find work to save for a truck , I’m getting evicted in a couple weeks, I had to pass on the Florida job for obvious reasons. My fiancee left me for another man that drives the car I purchased for her to safely get back and forth to work. I was scammed out of my 10k my 2k and my 115k all in a matter of 7 months. That’s impossible to happen right? Well I’m here to prove that it can.

All I need to do is get to Inverness Florida. I talked to the employer there and he was so impressed with me that he said if I can get there he will put me right to work. Problem is that I need to come up with 10k min for that move. Uhaul alone was $2980. Plus I need a truck down payment and a place to rent when I get there.  I would really appreciate any help I can get can get so I can not only start working again but keep my promise the sweet lady years ago. Maybe someone out there knows a car dealer that can help or a person in Inverness that has an apt they can trade labor for a roof over my head. I’m a plumber by trade but I have a great knowledge of all the trades. I don’t want something for nothing I’m willing to somehow pay back every penny but I first need to get back on my feet and working or in a few weeks ,if not ill be sleeping under a bridge. I’ve always been the guy people turn to when they need help I’ve always out their needs even before my own and because if that my three Children have grown up to be perfect examples of proper adults. not one drinker ,no drugs dont even curse. But it will be a cold day in hell before a get ask one penny from them. Its my job in life to support them as needed not to bring them down with me in my failures.

If anyone has any ideas how I can remove myself from this horrific situation that I’m in please please don’t hesitate to contact me I’m in dire need of assistance and will appreciate anything from a motivating thought to a fat Check or a few pennies. I promise to somehow make it right with you in the end. As as you can see I NEVER break a promise. [Read more…]

A Call for Help

Overcoming Hardships and Rebuilding Life

In November 2023, a series of unfortunate events drastically altered my life. My truck, the essential tool for my job as a heavy equipment operator, broke down due to a manufacturer defect. This unexpected incident led to the loss of my job and my primary source of income. To make matters worse, my employer dropped me like a hot rock, refusing to return my calls and leaving me to fend for myself.

As a single individual responsible for the care and financial support of my elderly mother, the situation quickly became dire. With no truck and no job, I had to take a temporary job at a deer processing business, a stark contrast to my previous profession. For two months, I struggled to keep our heads above water, but the financial strain was immense. Bills piled up, and I found myself making small payments to keep them current, hoping to avoid falling further behind.

Throughout this ordeal, I have been praying to God for help and guidance. I know that with a little support, I can regain my footing and provide for my mother once again. I am reaching out to the world, asking for help in acquiring a new automobile. This would be a significant step towards getting back on my feet and returning to a stable financial situation.

As I navigate this challenging period, I am exploring all possible avenues for assistance. I am looking into local charities, government programs, and non-profit organizations that might offer help in acquiring a new vehicle or financial support. I am also considering alternative job opportunities that do not require a vehicle, to help generate some income while working towards a long-term solution.

In these trying times, I have come to appreciate the value of a strong support system. I am reaching out to friends, family, and my local community for emotional support and encouragement. This support network has been vital in helping me cope with the stress and difficulties I am facing.

My primary goal is to regain my independence and stability, so I can continue to provide for my mother and rebuild our lives. I am determined to overcome this hardship and emerge stronger than before. I believe that with the help of the community and the grace of God, I can achieve this goal.

I humbly ask for your support in this time of need. Any assistance, whether financial or through resources and guidance, would be immensely appreciated. Together, we can make a difference and help me get back on track. Thank you for taking the time to read my story, and may God bless all the good in this life.
