My mom asked me to drive her to a doctors appointment one day. That’s where the doctor said she could have gone into a diabetic coma because she wasn’t taking her medication. The thing is she didn’t have the money to pay for her medication. Then she went into the emergency room because she was throwing up and was in serious pain. Turns out she needed her gallbladder removed and had kidney stones. My mom was in the hospital for a week and three days. I had to quit my job and move in with her to make sure she ate and took her medicine, but now I’m so far behind on my car payment and bills we are barely keeping the lights on.
