Help me help myself in Asheville

I live in Asheville NC and the hurricane destroyed everything around me, my home, my car and generally everything in sight. I have four dogs, my husband and me living in our home.
We really need help recovering from the hurricane. Fema did nothing. I applied on Oct 2 I turned in all paperwork and called many many times. Still nothing to help us.no explanation of why they have t contacted us in any way either. They strongly suggested I apply for a small business loan.
, I went blind a couple of years ago and had to have cataract surgery and since that time I havent been able to work. My husband is disabled and waiting on disability to approve him. I have always worked, we have always worked, so not having a steady stream of income has been hard enough without the hurricane to destroy us even further. I have been teaching myself precious metal recovery and have slowly collected knowledge and supplies to start a recovery and refining business along with building my greenhouse to grow plants to supplement our income. Once we
had made it to the point of start up business Helene decided she wanted my supplies more than me so she swept them away. Literally.
Please help me to help myself. There are a lot of things I need the money for but most of all to better myself and give us a
chance to build a business that is solid and will continue to
thrive here in our home and environment

I’m staying with a cousin, his wife and 2 kids. Friend being framed, needs lawyer

Good day and thank you for your time and attention.

My friend, a political refugee from Russia, needs help – several fabricated criminal cases have been filed against him and he needs a lawyer.

On November 1st, he was driving with his wife and stepson from Florida to Illinois. In Georgia, they were stopped by a police officer for speeding, but he was eventually arrested, explaining that my friend had a warrant issued for him by the state of Virginia, where he had never physically been. He spent about 20 days in jail in Georgia before being taken to Virginia, where he remains to this day awaiting trial.

His wife and I looked up the information about his case online (https://eapps.courts.state.va.us/ocis/landing) – it only included my friend’s full name (Aleksandr Borodavin), the dates of the crimes (08/25/2023), the date of the filing of the charges (03/14/2024), and the type of crime, you can check that info yourself. This already looked suspicious at that moment, considering that we have evidence (witnesses and bank statements) that he was not in Virginia at that time. Everything looks like he was set up by someone with connections in the police and/or government circles. Moreover, this someone must be from the Russian-speaking community, since the combination of my friend’s first and last names is unlikely to come to American mind due to its untypicality. And there is a suspicion that this is one of the former employers who at some point refused to pay my friend’s salary, to which he replied that he would call the New York Department of Labor, and the employer said that he should not do this or he would regret coming to the US at all.

Be that as it may, the charges are fictitious and my friend needs help. We managed to find him a lawyer, but his services are not cheap – $11,500 for representation in court. We have managed to collect $6,500 ourselves so far, and we need to raise another $5,000 by 12/12/2024 when his next trial takes place.

My friend, his wife and I are asking for your help in protecting him from the injustice that my friend has suffered. Since he is currently seeking political asylum in the United States, any criminal case against him will prevent him from receiving asylum, and he will most likely be deported back to Russia, where he will most likely be imprisoned for his opposition activities – supporting Navalny and protesting against the Putin regime.

Domestic Violence Survivor Single Mom x3

My name is Katie. I am a full time single mom of 3 amazing children (14,12 & 7). My kids dad after 16 years of being together decided one day he was going to pursue the “street life” full time which included heavy drug use. I kicked him out of our home because our kids & myself didn’t need to be exposed to his new lifestyle choices which made him homeless. For the next 3 years he made our lives literally something out of a scary movie. For 16 days straight he would break into our house at night while we were sleeping (so I thought) & steal my money (everything I had saved up in a shoe box in my closet), my car, my phone, I had to replace 17 tires during those 16 days, 11 cell phones, he would start beating me in the head & face while I was asleep (I was a bartender at the time but ended up losing my job due to calling off because of the bruises & cuts on my face). Found out he was never breaking in to my house he was actually living in my completely unfinished crawlspace & would come out at night. I ended up meeting a guy which really ticked my ex off. He tampered with my vehicle which led to me & my daughter being involved in a car wreck last Oct. My daughter suffered from a collapsed lung (which healed itself within a few hours) & a minor brain bleed. I suffered from 7 broken ribs, realigned my spine, sliced my left knee apart, major head trauma, lacerated open my spleen, collapsed lung, broke both the ulna & radius bones in my left arm in 3 separate places & bruising/lacerations all over my body. After that accident I was unable to work so all the monthly expenses were being taken care of by my boyfriend Dom so that I could heal. Dom was murdered on April 7th of this year due to being in the wrong place wrong time & a stray bullet hit him. My ex is now in a halfway house after being in prison for 1 year & is eligible to leave the halfway house in 5 months to live on his own. He had 96 charges but the DA ended up making a deal dismissing some of those charges including attempted murder. I applied for disability 8 months ago & am still waiting for it to be approved. The social security office said it could take at least a year for a decision to be made on my application.  I just got approval from my dr to return to work so I’ve been applying to literally everywhere but no luck yet. While I was healing I did start my own business called Caprimini LLC which will be a spiritual spa for holistic healing but I don’t have the funds to get that really up & going. I made a professional business plan & submitted to the SBA but due to falling behind on bills over the past year my credit has suffered significantly. My kids & I are facing an eviction at this time. I owe my landlord $8,700. My car is on its last leg & it would cost more repairing it then what it’s worth so I need to get a cheap used one from a private seller. Can’t get one with monthly payments due to my credit. My kids told me to not stress out about Christmas presents because they’re just happy they still have me & they know I have to take care of the landlord before anything else. Bless their hearts but a child shouldn’t expect there to be nothing for them Christmas morning. I honestly am just trying to save our home at this time & maybe get a cheap car for now. My ex does know our current address which scares me for when he gets is approved to leave the half way house but that’s not for a few more months & I just need to focus on a roof over our heads for right now. Dear Friends,

I am reaching out with a heavy heart and deep vulnerability to share my story. I am a single mother of two, I take care of my parents as well and I am working 50-65 hours a week to provide for my children while managing extreme PTSD from assaults and domestic abuse in my past. Life has not been easy, but I’ve always strived to push forward, no matter how hard it gets.

Recently, I fell victim to a devastating scam that preyed on my hope and determination to create a better future for my family. I came across an online platform called Pentaho+ that promised side income by reviewing apps. The opportunity seemed legitimate—small commissions of 0.5% per review, daily payouts, and a structured system. To begin earning, I needed to build up $300 in earnings through reviews. I worked tirelessly, believing this was my chance to pay off debt, clear my hospital bills, and provide my kids with the stable life they deserve.

However, as I progressed, the platform manipulated me with deceptive tactics. My account balance would go negative, and I was told to deposit funds to continue. I was reassured that these were normal processes and encouraged by a supportive WhatsApp group, a trainer, and customer service agents. They constantly shared fake success stories and “proof” of their earnings, creating a sense of community and trust.

Desperate to reach the payout threshold, I cashed out my 401(k), took out personal loans, and even borrowed against my future. When I finally earned $154,000 and tried to withdraw, I was told I needed to pay a $46,000 merchant fee. They assured me this would be the last hurdle and reduced the payment to $23k because I had hit two daily jackpots which was unusual. I scraped together $10,000 (but gave $8000 before this fee), with my trainer claiming she contributed $14,000 herself. I was constantly communicated with members of the work group, assured that this was normal and they too had to pay the merchant fee if the money inside was more than 10k and they would send me proof that these were the rules of the platform but after the fact. But after paying, they demanded more, citing my credit score dropped 20 points because I took too long to pay and they said I needed to pay for $1,000 per point to restore my withdrawal eligibility (they wanted $20k more). I escalated the customer service lady said she would talk with CEO then showed me some more company policies that I was never informed of and the CEO messaged me heartless like I need to follow the rules and get my score back up to 100 points. The cashout they said I would receive would be $201k once I put my account back in better status.

I’ve lost everything—my savings, retirement funds, and financial stability—all in the hope of providing a better life for my family. I’m now left with even more crushing debt, sleepless nights, and severe anxiety from this experience. I feel like a failure and need to bounce back from this – I have spent all of my life selfless, doing volunteer work with children and the elderly. I suffered severe burnout teaching the last 8 years and dealt with domestic abuse but I always kept my focus on being good to all the children and families while being terribly mistreated at home. I have never asked for help or money, I never qualify for any assistance and I push myself to breaking limits but I still keep going.

I am humbly asking for your help to raise $20-25,000 so I can recover from this nightmare. The funds will be used to cover rent, cell phone, utilities, repay debts (hospital bills), the last of my school balance for my masters and rebuild the foundation I’ve lost. Hey there! I’m Lillie, a mom, teacher, and cancer fighter. I’m battling breast cancer, raising two wonderful kids solo, and juggling life’s challenges as best as I can. Life’s thrown us some curveballs, and that’s why I’m reaching out.

Cancer treatments and the cost of staying healthy are piling up. My IV treatments are crucial but pricey, and so are the vitamins that keep me going. Not to mention, getting to all the doctor appointments has turned my car into our family lifeline—meaning car payments and insurance just can’t be skipped. I am in need of some financial help to fix my teeth. :-(

I have never asked anyone for money before, not even my parents, ever since I turned 14 years old I have been on my own financially. Everything I have, I paid for (unless it was gifted to me).

Here is why I need help now though. I am an alcoholic in recovery and have been sober now for almost 6 years. When I was drinking heavily, I stopped going to the Dr and the Dentist for fear that they would know that I had been drinking. This led to a lot of cavities forming in my mouth and needing some root canals. A few years after having the root canals done, they failed and broke off causing more food to get down into the socket becoming infected. I went to the dentist the other day and they told me it would cost me almost $20,000 to have some teeth pulled and to have new teeth put in. I don’t have that kind of money considering I live in the most expensive state in the country (California) and I currently make $21/ hour. I have no extra spending money to put towards it, and nothing that I can sell that would be of enough value to pay for my teeth. I don’t know what else to do short of driving down to TJ Mexico and having it done slightly cheaper.

You would be making a girls year/lifetime if you’re able to help me out! I REALLY do not want to lose my smile!

Struggling Financially, Please Help!

Hello everyone, I pray all is well. I do not normally do something like this but I came across begging money and felt like God was leading me here. I am not use to asking for help but in a time like this where you are depending on God for everything, anything can help.

My mother is a single mom and raised 4 beautiful children on her own with little to no help. Being homeless at one point, moving from homes multiple times, wondering where your next meal was going to come from, being talked about by your own family, and left to figure out everything, etc has been a struggle.

We are in a better situation than we once were thanks to God but it has been very hard climbing out of financial problems and getting ahead as the attacks wont stop.

I would kindly ask anyone to donate whatever you can, anything will go a long way. In need of a financial blessing

Hello my name is Donna and I am embarrassed to even have to ask for help however I have been homeless since February 5,2020 and I am disabled and receive SSI and I am in an abusive marriage that I am desperately trying to get away from.  I will start with a little bit of history.  I was adopted before I was 2 years old and my adopted mother decided that she didn’t want me so I was placed back in foster care when I was 14 and I was molested by my foster father in the first foster home I was in. My earliest childhood memories are of abuse.  I was emancipated when I was 17 by the fine state of Missouri. That’s when I first experienced Homelessness I was 17 years old when I was pregnant with my first son and I was 20 years old when I had my second son. By that time I was familiar with being homeless and I had been raped more times than I Care to remember. I met a woman who became more like a mother figure to me. She took me and my youngest son in when he was only 2months old. 5 years later she lost her house. During the time I stayed with her I went to school to become a medical assistant. At the time when she  had lost her house I was working as a medical assistant. Actually I had my interview for that position on 09/11/01. I wound up getting a apartment and that was when my life took a turn. I ran into an ex of mine on January 29,2002. We got married on August 29,2003. I  have suffered every form of abuse imaginable at the hands of my husband including being thrown into a wall by him in which my spine was fractured and I had to have major spinal surgery.  I have experienced Homelessness off and on since I have been with my husband.  Now I am experiencing mental, emotional, and sexual abuse from him. He constantly accuses me of cheating on him and because we have been living in motels since February 5,2020 he accuses me of sleeping with random men at these motels. He says that I am opening up doors and windows while he is in the shower letting random men in and at each motel there are secret rooms that are accessible from opening the walls or the floor coming up. I have never cheated on my husband.  I just found out that I am severely anemic.  My iron level is 6.5 and it is actually life threatening. I had a blood transfusion on November 16,2024. It was not effective. Actually my symptoms are worse than before my transfusion. Considering that I am homeless and am also in an abusive marriage doesn’t help my heath situation. I am asking for help because I want to get away from my abusive husband and I am going to use the money to make a fresh start. I am 48 years old and I have never experienced what it’s like to be happy and free. I have been walking on eggshells ever since I was a kid. He told me I couldn’t do it so I did

I escaped an abusive relationship. So many people do, it’s a great thing but it’s nothing new or groundbreaking, I know. Honestly, I should have never found myself there to begin with. But I did. He was so mean, cruel really, to a point where you almost feel sorry for him, like what happened to you to make you this awful? Who hurt you to make you not want to heal, but instead want to make others hurt too? I would never understand him, so one day when he left for work, I packed what I could fit into the old 1994 Buick Roadmaster, and my eight month old daughter, and we left. We drove for ten hours to Tulsa, Oklahoma where my other two children were visiting their dad for the summer and we never went back. He was angry, he threatened me, he told me I was an ugly loser, that I was fat since I gave birth, that I was nothing, I had nothing and I never would. He was partially right, I had nothing at all except my daughter, my other two children, and my life but that was all I needed and it was all that was worth anything. I found a crappy job that didn’t pay much, got a crappy apartment we called home and oh my God I was so happy. I saved money and I fixed my credit and even though that voice would try to tell me sometimes – you are nothing and you’ll never have anything –  I bought my first house all by myself. And me and my three children were so very happy. I’m sitting in it right now writing this letter online to complete strangers because I don’t know what else to do. I lost a job when COVID started in 2020, I’ve worked temporary jobs here and there and done the best I can. I’ve also been going to school online full time the past two years in hopes of finding a a good job, a lifelong career, in counseling helping people like the ones who helped me along the way when I was broken. But I have gotten behind in my payments and I finally got the letter I’d been dreading. They want to foreclose on my home. I will have nowhere to go. That baby daughter is now fifteen years old. This is the only home she’s ever known. My older two children are wonderful people and my daughter is going to school and my son is in the Air Force. They don’t live at home anymore but if it wasn’t for this home, I wouldn’t have been able to raise them with stability and maybe their lives would have been harder. This is the home all three of them will see in their dreams for the rest of their lives when they sleep, as we often dream of our childhood homes, this is our home. I just buried our thirteen year old chocolate lab under the pear tree out back. I got her right after we moved in. I will get my associates degree in the spring, then I will be able to get a good job while I continue to go to school for my bachelor’s degree. I have a long term plan, I just need some help with a short term plan so my daughter and I won’t be homeless and we can stay in the place that gave us freedom 13 years ago, the place that saved us. I don’t have anyone else, I don’t have any family that lives here or even in the same state, I’ve always been on my own. And I’ve always made it work, but I don’t think there’s anything I can do this time. Please help me, I will do whatever is needed of me if I can get caught up and pay the fees. Please. Thank you.
