Looking for a place to call home

I hope this message finds you well. I am a proud 53-year-old New Yorker who has spent my entire life in this vibrant city, specifically Brooklyn. I was born and raised here, and I have dedicated myself to this community in countless ways.

As a young adult, I juggled full-time work during the day and pursued my education at night, ultimately putting myself through college in New York City. As a single mother, I raised my son and successfully put him through college as well. Now, in a more mature stage of my life, I have devoted my career to the healthcare sector, working as an administrator since I was 19 years old. Presently, I am a manager for a prestigious Ivy League institution.

Despite my long-standing commitment and hard work, I am not a physician and do not earn a high salary. Nevertheless, I have always been diligent in preparing for my dream of homeownership. I am proud to have maintained nearly perfect credit scores (844, 833, and 820) and have consistently paid my bills on time for decades. I save what I can and live frugally, but the rapid rise in home prices in Brooklyn and Queens has made it increasingly difficult to afford a home.

I am at a stage in my life where I fear that I may never realize my dream of owning a home in the city that I love and have called home for so long. The prices for homes in this city are exorbitant, and despite my best efforts, my savings have not been able to keep up with the skyrocketing costs.

I am reaching out to seek your support in making my dream a reality. I require a substantial down payment to bring my mortgage to a level that my salary can reasonably afford. Any assistance you can provide would be immensely appreciated.

Thank you for taking the time to consider my request. Your support would mean the world to me and help me achieve the dream of homeownership that I have worked towards my entire life.

Help Me Get out of the Hole of Financial debt

First off, our family and our business is on the brink of total collapse. Everything was going well enough for us to continue making and selling our homemade jewelry via pop-up on various street corners in the Portland area and at storefronts to basically get by while at the same time adding to the quality of life for the people of Portland by offering our rare earrings, bracelets, rings and necklaces. Furthermore on January 18, 2025 our van’s alternator belt broke which was caused by an oil leak that made the belt go bad.
We had to pay for the tow and have it moved to mercedes benz of Wilsonville,Or. They fixed the van and the bill is an astonishing $13,500 plus the fact that we are in a hotel extended stay and have to pay $143 everyday and we just can’t keep it going without any transportation and work has grinded to a halt because we just had a snow storm and are snowed in. We never really had to ask for money because we’ve been the self reliance type and was always able somehow to get it everyday ( sell our jewelry) until now. Thi is just a small portion of our story and tribulations hopefully this helps us to get enough funding. There’s much more to our story i don’t think i have enough room to fit it all i just gave the most of the problems we’ve encountered in the last few weeks, we’re asking for financial assistance to get through these tough times and hopefully we have explained our situation enough to secure funding. Thank you and GOD bless

Need a boost for life

Hello I am a former oil and gas industry worker that decided to leave the industry so I could be closer to my family. The reason I made a decision is because my ex-wife told me the exact words baby it’s time to come home you’ve already missed so much of these kids’ lives so come home and watch whatever else you can whatever’s left of their childhood. So I did. But unfortunately because of that it ended up putting me down the road of divorce which I did not want. Well before that COVID happened of course like everybody knows. In order to support my family I had to max out all of my credit cards and I’m slowly trying to repay them back but it’s putting a major hampering on me. So because I decided to leave the industry to be with my family that I don’t have anymore. I want to go work for a company that did service for plants hauling nitrogen. Unfortunately I was driving an 18-wheeler The brakes failed and I slammed into the back of another 18-wheeler. Luckily I walked out with just whiplash But because of that I lost my job. I’m one I don’t believe in going on unemployment and living off a taxpayer money. So to make ends meet I was doing DoorDash full time. Then I got a blessing something I’ve wanted to do for a very long time came literally jumping at me. I got offered to go to EMT school and I accepted the offer. At first I had to think about it real hard because when I was with my ex and her kids when I thought about chasing my dream I realized I couldn’t do it cuz we wouldn’t be able to afford it. Well now that I’m single I decided to do it. I ended up having to quit looking for a job while I was in school so I can have flexibility. I could send you DoorDashing to make ends meet and to pay bills. Then I started doing Walmart spark which actually boosted me up and started helping me really well but it still wasn’t enough. Well I graduated EMT school and now I work for an ambulance company and I absolutely love it. But because I’m in so much underwater right now I’m able to pay my bills but it’s a very very slow process and it’s making me live paycheck to paycheck and I’m always late on my bills. But I’m doing my damnedest to make it. I truly hate the fact that I’m asking for help because I’m one that I want to help I don’t want help. But because of everything that happened COVID the wreck divorce I don’t know what else to do. So I’m just reaching out to see if people would see my story and know what I’m going through and have it in your hearts to help a guy like me. I know I chose a low-paying job but it makes me happy because people like you and me need help and this job isn’t about the money it’s about you and me it’s about everyone I want to be there to help somebody keep living. So I appreciate your time for reading if you’re willing to help I greatly appreciate it and I owe you the biggest thanks in the world. I hope y’all have a fantastic day.

Urgent Financial Assistance Request: A Second Chance to Rebuild

Hello,

My name is Cornelius Wells, and I am reaching out for financial assistance as I work to overcome a challenging period in my life. After 18 years of dedication to my job at Technicolor/Vantiva, I was unexpectedly laid off in March 2024. While this was a difficult setback, I chose to use the time wisely by enrolling in LabFour’s Cybersecurity program to gain new skills and transition into a stable career or even entrepreneurship.

However, at this period of unemployment, I fell behind on my financial obligations. I now owe:

  • $20,000 to the IRS
  • $1,500 in credit card debt
  • $2,250 in unpaid rent

These debts are weighing heavily on me, and I am doing everything I can to improve my situation. I have been actively applying for full-time positions while working short-term contracts and work orders in the meantime. Unfortunately, these temporary jobs do not provide consistent income, making it difficult to catch up on my financial responsibilities.

I am not asking for a handout—I am asking for a chance to get back on my feet. With your help, I can clear my debts, stabilize my living situation, and fully focus on securing long-term employment in cybersecurity, a field I have trained for and am passionate about.

I have always been a hardworking, dedicated, and responsible person. At my previous job, I was promoted to Production Lead within a year, and I took on IT troubleshooting tasks even without formal certification. I am determined to succeed in my new career path, but I need immediate financial relief to avoid falling deeper into hardship.

Any support, whether large or small, would mean the world to me. It would provide the stability I need to continue my job search without the overwhelming burden of debt. If you are willing to help, I assure you that your generosity will not go to waste—I am committed to working hard, paying it forward, and rebuilding my life.

Thank you for taking the time to read my story. If you are able to assist or know someone who can, please reach out. Your kindness and support could be the turning point that allows me to move forward with confidence and hope.

With gratitude,
Cornelius Wells

In humility I’m asking for help to avoid homelessness.

I hope this message finds you well. My name is Lucy Busso, and I am a 69-year-old widow struggling as a small business owner. Due to increasing competition and my inability to afford advertising or a website, my financial situation has become extremely difficult. Over time, I had to take out loans just to repay previous ones. I work everyday outside on keeping my plants growing but not being able to buy supplies to continue makes it difficult in my succulent business.

I have done everything I can to keep my head above water including selling my truck—an essential asset for my business—but it has not been enough to break free from this cycle. My greatest wish is to able to pay all my bills and be able to afford to continue my business with advertising plus afford a new used truck.

Unfortunately, I have gotten behind in all my bills so far that I will soon loose my utilities and home. Facing homelessness at my age, especially with disabilities, is terrifying. The total amount I owe to banks is $25,000.

As a payment method, I am leaving my PayPal information below for convenience. I am reaching out with humility and hope, asking if you would consider helping me pay off my loans. Any support, no matter the amount, would make a huge difference in allowing me to regain financial stability and focus on securing a better future.

If you are willing to assist or know anyone who may be able to help, I would be forever grateful.

Thank you very much for reading my message.

Sincerely,
Lucy Busso

Single Mother/Entrepreneur Facing Eviction (paypal.me/SPinnock814)

Hi! My name is Shantel. I am a hard working full time mom and an Entrepreneur in Baltimore, Maryland. I own and operate a Pro Makeup Artistry company with a great reputation and over 10 years of consistent clientele (shantelthemua.com). I went full time during the pandemic after loosing my Marketing Director position. I have an amazing seven-year-old son that I am supporting on my own financially. Over the past few months, I have been experiencing some challenges in business revenue, which has created a major setback in my ability to cover basic living expenses for my son and I. It has all snowballed and I am now over my head in financial distress. I am currently 4 months behind on my rent and am facing an upcoming eviction from a home that I have been renting for 13 years. This is the only home my son knows and I am confident that if I can catch up this month that I will be back on track financially with incoming invoice revenue from clients scheduled this month and contracted jobs that have been scheduled. My landlord that has been more than understanding. I have applied for several jobs to catch up on my expenses with little success. This has been a challenging time for small businesses and creatives in my area for some time now, with the change in the economy for those who support our businesses in general. It is very unlikely for me to get on a public platform to ask for help, but social services has not even been able to help financially with a lot of those struggling locally even with employment. Many of the grants that are typically available to help those in situations like myself have been exhausted. I have gone to over 12 agencies in my area who typically are able to help out with those who are in these financial situations, and all have stated that they are funds are not available and have been drained at this time. As humble as I know how, I am only asking to be caught up on my rent to avoid being set out in eviction. $4000-5000, but anything will help reach my goal. I am appreciative of any help or resources financially or otherwise that could be offered to me. I am not even asking for money to be directly made out to myself, but  donated funds can also be made out to my landlord directly. I appreciate anyone reading this that is taking the time to understand my story in my situation. I pray that this reaches an individual or company that may be able to help in anyway possible God bless.

Alone and Desperate

My name is Melanie, I live alone and have nobody or nowhere else to turn too. Therefore, I am asking you today to find it in your heart to help me out a little if you can. I need to come up with $3,000 asap.

My significant other of 16years passed away and I’ve been trying to make it ever since. It has been very hard. I did find a good job but had to quite not long after I started because I developed carpel tunnel. Surgery is going to be needed; however, I need to pay my rent and bills until then. I know that $3,000 may not seem like a lot, but it is to me. I have tried everything I could to come up with the money, but nothing has panned out. So, I am now begging anyone to please help me. I promise that I will pass it on and help someone else when I can do so.

Thank you for reading my story and for this site. God bless you!!!!!

I lost my job and life savings due to an accident.

Hello, I am here begging for assistance to get my life back on track. In 2019, I was in a job related accident, I used to be a Police Officer in my country. There are not alot of benefits but if you have the money you can get benefits from other insurances. I believed that the insurance that was paid mandatory from my salary every month from my work would have suffice incase of accident or injury but it was proven to be wrong. In February, 2020, I was layed off. I tried to get council to assist me in getting justice after 12 years of service but in the end I was unsuccessful. Now in 2025, I am here begging for someone, any one to help get my life back. I am a woman who suffers from chronic pain everyday. My short term memory has never been the same due to the concussion. Both my knees and back hurt more everyday, my feet are constantly swollen. I have never been able to get proper treatment for my situation but I have seek doctors help and they all just shut it down saying I need rest. After my accident I tried to work odd jobs but was let go due to inability to function because of my pain. Now I teach preschoolers. It’s a nice job and I enjoy it but the pay is not good enough to cover the bills I had while I was a Police Officer. I had a mortgage and a small loan that I am now unable to pay fully. I have been taken to court over the mortgage and the loan and a settlement has been reached. I now remain to pay $10.000 dollars. All I ask is that some help me pay this bill off so I can use my pay to finally go to a proper doctor to get help with my pain. All of this has made the pain worse because of stress but I am trying my hardest to cope. My situation may not be to bad to many but being in financial ruin over something you had no hand in doing hurt greatly. So I am putting myself out there and asking for help, if there is any more information needed, I will be very glad to offer it, thank you for taking the time to read my story.

Accepted a job offer, moved across country, company gave job to someone else

It sounds like a Billy Bob Thornton movie but it really happened. The company said I could keep the relocation money and offered me another position lower on the totem pole with less pay. I had to say no just out of principle. I do not want to work for someone who would do this after weeks of logistics and preparation.

We sold practically everything and loaded what was left in a U-haul before we left Atlanta to move to Reno. I am burning up zip recruiter, monster, linkedIn, etc with resumes and applications. I have had several interviews and expect a job soon, but I also expected to be earning a paycheck a few months ago.

God bless my wife. She is working road shows pulling 12 hours days for 10 days straight with just 3 days off before going back to another road show (selling cookware at Costco). She is the best thing that ever happened to me but it only brings in grocery money and a few bills.

Bottom line is that we are big believers in paying it forward. We’ve raised 5 wonderful kids, have 3 grandkids, and have been there for those who have needed a helping hand. Now we need one.

PLEASE HELP ELDERLY/DISABLED -. SAVE FORECLOSURE

Dear fellow citizens and anyone else with hearts to read this urgent message for help.

Each day we never know who will come our way to disrupt our peaceful life.  God only know why and am learning each day despite it all.

Praying for anyone who sincerity understand our needs to rescue from silent transfer of title of our beloved home of many years planned for rest of life and three other luxury rentals.  A senior near 80young with disabled adult who Helped many whenever possible

after losing more than $1.5M rental income from covid19 disaster.

One remaining lender asking $60,000 today to extend for 3 more months and save rental property from foreclosure.

Worked very hard and saved to plan for a nice peaceful retirement with more than 9 rentals but now down to last one.  This lender already helped with 2 extensions and I understand their frustration.  This house was planned for my disabled son after it is prepared for safety as a group home with a few buddies from his day program as a family cared by a trained caregiver.  Was waiting for release of Heloc to do some repairs but funds was frozen by the “devil” instead paid himself.

Was promised funds from 4 secured HELOCS (loans) offered by this “devil” and  assigned him a promissory note woth $400,000 to help me out of covid19 disaster to complete recovery by end 2024.  Should have caught up with all payments and on my way to a peaceful and better life again by lst of 2025 after 6 years of covid19 torture with defaulted tenants and closing/opening of ice cream store mandate.  Lost income.

But this scam “angel” turned “devil”  broke every promises after releasing some teaser funds then freeze them up and drowning me into deeper financial tunnel and no money instead of recovery as majority of income from rentals.

Only one remaining offering extension for 3 months which helps recovery and a place we could call home.

Otherwise, Soon could be forced out on cold street from home and be separated because social service viewed this as inability to provide a safe home for disabled child.  Searched all programs and no free service available for elderly facing foreclosure and losing years of hardwork  to have passive income to retire just when Covid19 hit and destroyed my childhood dream and plan to retire without begging for social help.  Very disappointed and sad renters have no hearts to pay rent for beautiful safe homes while I have now to bear the consequences of keeping them safe and we have to keep up all expenses but depleted every penn

Regret not hanging up phone with call from  “angel” who promised to kick last tenants out, manage my properties and help with financial recovery completely including taking care of child if I die. Believed him initially saving a lot of loan interest with plan to get me out of financial stress.

When rehapping one rental, he gave just enough money from loan to pay my hired licensed contractor then stop releasing money.  He insisted he could send his guys save money and do a better job quickly.   His roofer and guys left interior/exterior unfinished since June 2024 and Feb 2025.   Janaury, silently took titles to properties to resell for profit when repairs done.  I never wanted to sell.  Left with no money as promised but he deceitfully control more than $3M in equity from luxury rentals and assigned note.

He is controlling my financial assets and pushing us to be homeless without money and utilities threatening shut offs which happened last few months and this week.  He does not care.

Could not afford legal assistance because they are overloaded with cases and no time.  All other attorneys need retainer or hang up.

So today is last day to pray for help to send $60000 to a rental lender who has offered one last extension but needed money to please investors.  This only remaining rental not controlled by “angel” is our only means of survival left by renting rooms.

Could not believe spent moe than 40 years of hardwork to acquire properties only to lose them because of one major disaster after another. encouraging tenants not to pay to prevent homelessness.

Always worked with tenants but now realize shockingly my good deeds all my life  helping others is ending with hearltess people who care less what happened to us even friends who run away when you are no longer financially wealthy.

I never dream ever to lose own home after losing other rentals to foreclosure forced by unfair CA laws protecting tenants but no help for landlords.

Faced with no home in my name and no money to survive this storm, was told by social service last week no free program available to keep us together and child has to be taken to a group home soon.

I would be sharing a big hall of beds among oher homeless.  If I want a room it will cost $900/month.  There is no free help even for elderly like me and so very sad the system is hopelessly unfair to hardworking citizens who did the right thing.  A lot of elder protection programs  advertised but no idea where they are as told sorry.

At this age, no desire to be separated from son as planned I could finally retire and enjoy a good life together until God takes me home.  Paid the most taxes in the county with properties since 1986 but now unable even to keep up with payments anymore but still threatened with liens and foreclosre.

Had to cut short lease end Feb 2025 for an ice cream store of 6.5 years as “angel” PROMISED funds to update.   Instead he was used remainder  for his own glory.   The purpose of store was to provide another service to local community of over 17 years in order to give back as grateful residents.   Kind neighbors and local services are all aware of disabled child and kept watch if out on street.  Extremely sad as unable to have grand opening planned and carry on mission to help teens with part-time income to help their families and have to let them go.  Warning:  Hang up if any stranger calls to save you from anything.  They are scams.

If your heart feels our pain and have compassion to please help us send the required amount to save from foreclosure and legal assistance to stop further damage by “angel”.  Will always remember forever this graciously if successful and will return with great gratitude by helping others in pain as well.  Life is about being kind and helping each other in pain in any community to be meaningful and fulfilled but my mission was cut short by one little mistake of trusting the wrong person.

Praying for your God blessings of many returns to you and family for helping us out of this disaster.  Gratefully yours.

I cant take it any more. Its too much pain

My name is Jimmy, and for almost five years, I have been battling what is widely recognized as the world’s most painful disease: Morgellons Disease. This relentless condition has dramatically altered my life, stripping away not just my physical well-being, but also my sense of self and my ability to be the supportive partner my wife deserves. I am an engineer at heart, someone who thrives on inventiveness and the satisfaction of fixing what is broken. Yet, in my current state, I find myself unable to fulfill even the simplest tasks. The pain I endure daily often leaves me in tears, and it is heart-wrenching to witness the toll this has taken on my wife, who bears the weight of my suffering alongside me. As I navigate these isolating moments, it becomes increasingly clear that I need specialized medical treatment that is unfortunately located in the next state over. This journey to reclaim my life and alleviate my suffering is not just about me; it is also about the love I share with my wife, who deserves to see me healthy and whole again. Right now, I am reaching out for help. Financial constraints prevent us from affording the treatment I desperately need, and I’m committed to doing whatever it takes to recover. Your support could make a pivotal difference in my quest to regain not just my health, but my identity as a husband and an engineer. https://www.paypal.me/jimmyb951

Save Our Family Home From Foreclosure- After Tragic Loss

Hello, I hope this letter finds you in good health and high spirits. We’re the Jacobs Family, my name is GLary, and I am reaching out with a heavy heart, hoping to find compassionate souls who might be willing to lend a helping hand during our time of need. I am the eldest of six children, and our family is facing the heartbreaking reality of losing our home after suffering a devastating loss.

In July 2024, we lost our mother at the young age of 77, the heart and soul of our family. She was an incredibly strong woman who faced unimaginable challenges with grace and courage. In her final years, she battled Parkinson’s disease and Dementia, all while caring for my special-needs sister who is now 52 years young my mom held our family together. Her love and dedication were unwavering, even as her health deteriorated. Her passing has left a void in our hearts and has placed us in a difficult financial situation that we are struggling to overcome.

As her condition worsened, my mother did everything she could to keep our family afloat. In her effort to provide for us and cover mounting expenses, she was persuaded to take out a reverse mortgage on our family home. At the time, to her it seemed like the only option to manage the financial burden, but it came at a cost we are now struggling to pay.

With her passing, the reverse mortgage became due, and we are on the edge of losing the place we have called home for decades. This house is more than just four walls; it’s a small, older home, but it is filled with memories of love, laughter, and comfort. It is the only home we have ever known, and it holds special significance for my special-needs sister, who relies on the familiarity and stability it provides.

The payoff amount to buy back the mortgage and save our home from foreclosure as of January 2025 is $79,000. We are now going into our last three month extension, July 2025 is the expiration date to purchase our home.  For our family, this is an overwhelming number, but it represents the hope of preserving our sanctuary during this painful time. We are doing everything we can to gather the funds, but we cannot do it alone.

As a last resort, we are reaching out, hoping to find kind-hearted individuals willing to help us keep our family home. Any financial contribution, no matter the size, would bring us closer to our goal. Your generosity would not only save our home from foreclosure, but also give us the stability we desperately need as we grieve and heal.

If you are unable to contribute financially, we would also be deeply grateful for any other form of assistance. We are even willing to consider alternatives, such as someone paying off the reverse mortgage company with an agreement for us to buy the house back over time. Our only wish is to get the house out of the reverse mortgage company’s hands and keep our family together in the only home we have ever known.

Every dollar and every prayer makes a difference. Your support and kindness mean more to us than words can express.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you for taking the time to read our story. Your compassion gives us hope during this challenging time.

With heartfelt gratitude,
Glary

No glasses, no teeth and looking like a wicked witch.

I am a 67yr old woman. I have always worked since the age of 15. My significant other past in 2019, he was my backbone. Whatever I couldn’t do, he would find a way. I have always taking care of myself. I’ve had problems, but I took care of them. This last year, 2024 everything went to pot. First, my furnace $7000. Second, my air condition $8000. Third, my car $4000. I am not able to do what I once did, and that is starting to bother me.

Well, we had a big snow so I tried to shovel the snow and slipped and fail and hit my head broke my new prescription glasses and broke my teeth in the front of my mouth and now I look like a haggot witch. I can’t afford another loan, and my insurance only has a limit of $1000 for dental which does not cover implants. In the past I have tried to get more dental insurance but none of them were worth it.

I have always taken pride in the way I look. So now when I go out, I put a mask on, so no one will see how bad I look. I hate looking at myself in the mirror. I really hate asking for help, but I don’t know where else to turn. I don’t want to look like this for the next 3 years because that is when my loans will be paid. Please help me to get back to myself.  Please, please, please. Thank you for your help.
