Hello, I hope this letter finds you in good health and high spirits. We’re the Jacobs Family, my name is GLary, and I am reaching out with a heavy heart, hoping to find compassionate souls who might be willing to lend a helping hand during our time of need. I am the eldest of six children, and our family is facing the heartbreaking reality of losing our home after suffering a devastating loss.
In July 2024, we lost our mother at the young age of 77, the heart and soul of our family. She was an incredibly strong woman who faced unimaginable challenges with grace and courage. In her final years, she battled Parkinson’s disease and Dementia, all while caring for my special-needs sister who is now 52 years young my mom held our family together. Her love and dedication were unwavering, even as her health deteriorated. Her passing has left a void in our hearts and has placed us in a difficult financial situation that we are struggling to overcome.
As her condition worsened, my mother did everything she could to keep our family afloat. In her effort to provide for us and cover mounting expenses, she was persuaded to take out a reverse mortgage on our family home. At the time, to her it seemed like the only option to manage the financial burden, but it came at a cost we are now struggling to pay.
With her passing, the reverse mortgage became due, and we are on the edge of losing the place we have called home for decades. This house is more than just four walls; it’s a small, older home, but it is filled with memories of love, laughter, and comfort. It is the only home we have ever known, and it holds special significance for my special-needs sister, who relies on the familiarity and stability it provides.
The payoff amount to buy back the mortgage and save our home from foreclosure as of January 2025 is $79,000. We are now going into our last three month extension, July 2025 is the expiration date to purchase our home. For our family, this is an overwhelming number, but it represents the hope of preserving our sanctuary during this painful time. We are doing everything we can to gather the funds, but we cannot do it alone.
As a last resort, we are reaching out, hoping to find kind-hearted individuals willing to help us keep our family home. Any financial contribution, no matter the size, would bring us closer to our goal. Your generosity would not only save our home from foreclosure, but also give us the stability we desperately need as we grieve and heal.
If you are unable to contribute financially, we would also be deeply grateful for any other form of assistance. We are even willing to consider alternatives, such as someone paying off the reverse mortgage company with an agreement for us to buy the house back over time. Our only wish is to get the house out of the reverse mortgage company’s hands and keep our family together in the only home we have ever known.
Every dollar and every prayer makes a difference. Your support and kindness mean more to us than words can express.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for taking the time to read our story. Your compassion gives us hope during this challenging time.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Glary
