Hello I’m in desperate need of assistance. I was a caregiver for my ex boyfriend for the past 3 years. I finally was able to get paid as his caregiver in March of 2023 and he was approved by SSI in April of 2023. We were evicted from our last apartment due to no rental assistance available due to funding and exercised ERAP for the 18 months prior during the last 3 years if me caring for him 24/7 from a serious motorcycle accident in Oct of 2020. He was in a coma for 3 months and had several disabilities from physical and health that demanded 24/7 assistance that didn’t allow me to go back to work by being up with him throughout the night for trach care, bathroom, dressing, meal prep, and much more. My parents paid for hotels after the eviction and put them in financial stress which also impacted their health. They also helped me move into our new apartment. My ex boyfriend had become very sick from lung infection and pneumonia and ended up having sepsis. Along with his liver failure and this infection and bouncing around being unstable after the eviction he refused to go to the hospital to get the IV antibiotics to try and make money on the side which was difficult for him. I was diagnosed in April of 2023, of congested heart failure with my heart pumping at only 20%; after having a heartattack before our eviction. I was hospitalized for a week. I also have a condition of juevenile polypisis syndrome and chronic pancreatitis. My GI felt that my heart issue was related to my condition; which scheduled me in for an endoscopy and colonoscopy. The results showed severe inflammation of areas in esophagus, stomach and areas in the intestines displaying closures causing difficulties in digestions and pain. I also had around 50 polyps removed from esophagus, stomach and intestines that ranged from 8mm and 2 inches in size. It’s been difficult for me to pack, move, or anything physical without being winded, short of breath and dizzy. I’m trying exercise by walking here in there until I feel lightheaded then having to rest and my head full of sweat. August 7th of 2023, my ex boyfriend had hallucinated so badly that he had barricaded the door by hammering a a drill bit of some sort 4 inches long into the latch of my apartment door after he had locked it and placed chairs, portable AC, and misc items. He was carrying around a hammer and the night before at 3 am woke me up with a butcher knife he was swinging around and almost struck me yelling at something that wasn’t there. I told him to drop the knife and I threw it across the room and hardly slept as he kept checking on me every hour. I was scared.. I just had my procedure the Friday before of the 50 polyps being removed from me and I was still recovering with pain. He had me call me call 911 to call the police for help because he thought there were 100s of people trying to break in to kill us. He refused to let me out and snapped at me viciously when I tried to reason with him so I had to play along for my safety since he was mentally checked out. He has been incarcerated since august and I lost my job as caregiver due to the circumstances. So unable to pay rent I’m behind august and sept and now October. I was supposed to use his ssi check to pay me back since him and is friend took 450 dollars from my rent. I didn’t receive his ssi check because we forgot to update the change of address since I haven’t been myself from the stress and my health conditions. I was told by the DA-criminal compensation that I won’t be able to receive my loss of wages until they receive the invoice from the door replacement from hammered holes in the door and the police dept busting the door down. And an email in response to their question from my director where I was employed as his caregiver. I just found this out last Friday. They also informed me after they receive everything they have to present it to the board and a check will be mailed 10 days after. I have to be moved out before the 10th of October or have around $6,150 in rent up to date if I stay. I really want to relocate and move out immediately but have no money. I don’t want to pursue this relationship with my ex no longer because of verbal abuse these past few months prior to incident and need to have a safe healthy environment for my daughter and myself. I need to focus on my health so I can live a longer life for my daughter needs me without this stress and craziness. I don’t want him to find us. I need to rebuild my life and just focus on my daughter and myself. I also owe my mechanic money for fixing a donated car that was given to me by my daughters school. I’ve never been in this situation before … I’m desperate need of help and I’m running out of options and so far it’s looking like I’m about to be homeless and lose everything I’ve worked so hard for. I can’t even use my retirement because because I used it to keep a roof over our heads from 2020 to 2021. I’m having trouble finding funding to help me with rent assistance avd I still haven’t received my food stamps until Oct 10th. I’m at the lowest point of my life and I’m baffled. Good day kind folks, Marilyn is my name and I humbly come before you on behalf of both my grandson age 23 and self age 75. I raised Rob and over the yrs we’ve had our share of challenges yet managed from payck to payck maintaining excellent credit.
I’m aware that circumstances in life are temporary and that we will move onto another phase. Granted we have had our bouts, yet the past 3 months have proven to be quite cruel. Our decline began in early July when we spent our savings ($3500.00) on an older trlr for Rob. We’d been crammed into my small 27′ RV located on property in the woods, and both needed our own space. We soon realized we’d been hood winked, yet managed to make it work. It was early July, our emergency funds were gone, yet I receive a small monthly SSI ck and Rob had his job unloading semi trlrs, that is until he didn’t! It was the end of July when Rob lost his job due to poor company mgmnt. No worries, he’s a capable, hard working young man! Then came August and my nephew age 54 had finally been released from the Riverside Co. Detention Cntr. where for the past 3 yrs he had sat on trumped up charges. I was over the moon with joy, for a moment anyway. Five days after his release Josh was found unalive in his pu trk. He had taken his own life. There are no words…..3 wks later Josh’s mother, my twin sister who had previously been strong and healthy, was now at Sacred Heart in Eugene, Or. dying of urinary cancer. That can’t be we said, yet it was! She passed away Sept 2. ’23 froim a broken heart and urinary cancer. I thought things couldn’t get worse…..yet after 2 wks of cleaning and clearing out her home, I returned home only to find precious cat Asa whom I’d dearly loved for 6 yrs. in dire distress. He was rushed to the vet where we learned his lungs were crystallized. I had to let him go leaving me completely devastated to this very day and with a $300 bill.
I share these 3 major concurrent events with you for they took not only a physical & emotional toll, but a financial strain as well on an already depleted budget. Needing to make an 1800 mi round trip to So Ca required new tires $840.00, brakes $450.00 (still need), oil change $150.00, $500.00+ for gas, plus cars insurance renues in Nov. $2500.00. Rob recently was hired by UPS for pt time peak season and plans to start on Mon 8-02. I believe he has a real good chance of being hired full time after January. Unfortunately that doesn’t help us now, therefore, I humbly ask for some temporary financial assistance (first time ever) in the amt of $5000.00. That would get us on track and keep our credit in tact. Honestly, any amt would be greatly appreciated yet I understand there are many in much greater need than we.

Dear Sir/Madam,
I am requesting help because my partner is very unwell. He had been complaining of fever and intense headaches for a while now but we thought it was just the volatile weather changes. The pain took a different turn last week which forced him to go to the hospital for check tests. He was diagnosed with Appendicitis and was told he needed urgent surgery to avoid any rupture, as this would cause the infection to spread to other organs, which is life threatening.
He cannot go to work at the moment and I am in between jobs, so cannot raise the required amount for surgery. I have just paid the rent and bills and we’re both in shock and confused on what to do. It all happened so fast and we have spent the whole week looking for help everywhere, because the Dr requested he comes in as fast as possible. He was programmed for Monday but he can’t go in due to lack of funds. We have to pay for the treatment. There’s no stable income to rely on at this time with both our situations.

I was living with relative who passed. I live on disability, it’s not enough to live without help. So, 8 years ago I started living with a relative. It was not perfect I’m 61 years old and this family member had dementia. Care was needed there was not enough to hire others. I lived in that home and took care of this member of the family, so she did not need to be put in home. Eight years passed and the member of my family passed away. My situation has not improved. My health got worse. Over time I had a four-way open heart, stints and a pacemaker. My back began going out and I have a Wheelchair, motorized. My income has not changed and barely covered basic needs. I have a short period of time to relocate. There is a situation with family four states away. My first problem was the wheelchair Lyft. I found I needed a hitch and Lyft as well as a new battery for chair. Hitch was like $300. Battery service just under $300. but the shock was the Lyft. Quoting me $3,500 plus tax, i think. I did not need chair 8 years ago. I do now and it was provided to me. If I cannot raise this, I need to leave wheelchair behind. The Other thing with move seems to be cost of U-Haul. I have old furniture which I cannot leave, and personal belongings. At my age I do not want to start over, but furniture is third generation. Cost of U-Haul $6000. (Estimate for entire trip) and Hired help for the move as well which I have not even figured out yet. I was reluctant to beg help. But I am running out of time. Single fatherhood is a difficult journey, and it can be even more difficult when faced with injustice, After losing my job due to my employers’ discriminatory practices, i found myself in a desperate situation, struggling to support my three children financially specially after my soulmate decided to leave us last year as we lost our battle against breast cancer.
For single dad, discrimination became a painful reality that threatened to upend my entire life. my world was shattered when my employer decided to implement discriminatory practices, leading to the loss of my job and the security it provided for my family.
Suddenly finding myself without a source of income, i were forced to confront the harsh reality of single parenthood. The initial shock and feelings of uncertainty were overwhelming, as i grappled with the weight of providing for my three children all on my own.

I am a forty-one-year-old single mother of four children. My eldest child is twenty-one years old; second child is fourteen years old, third child is eleven years old and my last child is four years old.
I hereby seek financial assistance so I can be better able to take care of my children needs. At present I do have a nine to five job which I am grateful for, but it pays very little just enough to pay my rent, electricity bill and internet bill. I am unable to take care of my financial needs with my nine to five job. My eldest child attends university and has three years remaining. I pay all her fees from the nine to five job that I have as I am unable to get a loan to do so or to obtain a student loan for her. At present her fees are behind in payments and thus might be unable to do her exams. The reason for Not obtaining a loan or student loan is that i took a loan for her first year in university and had difficulties paying back same and was blocked from obtaining any other loans. My second child is in High school, Third child in primary school and fourth child in Infant school. All my children are doing very well in school. I sometimes fine it difficult to send them to school as I am unable to give them money for lunch and bus fare. I tried doing a side hustle job to help myself by doing chores for elderly persons but that sometimes fail as the elderly sometimes don’t have much to pay. I do satisfy with what they can give as payment for the chores as it helps to buy food.
My mother is mentally challenged, and I am the only child she has, I also take care of her by paying for her to stay in an institution for the mentally challenged. This too is a challenge as sometimes I am behind in payments.
The loan I get from the bank has turned me broke as I am paying a high interest rate which applies after I could not manage to pay the full monthly amount on the loan.
My situation was much better when the father of my children was around, but he left to live in another country to make life better for the children and ourselves but instead of that he never returns or stand up to his responsibilities. I tried on several occasions to reach out to him but with no success. I reach out to his family members but again with no success as they say they are not hearing from him neither is he sending cash to them.
I hereby seek assistance to open a business. this would enable me to be able to finance myself and children better. I would be also able to pay my loan in a timely manner thus decreasing my loan interest. The business I would open is a baby clothing and supply store. There is only one baby clothing store in my area which would make it a plus for me. I also have knowledge in business therefore I would manage the business myself.
I am asking kindly for assistance as I had to move from where I was living to a much smaller house to accommodate paying a lower rent. My children sleep in the same room and sometimes they are being ridiculed for the type of clothing which they wear. I get water from one of my neighbors as my water supplies has been disconnected for the past two months due to lack of payments. at present they are without some of their books for school and each has one set of uniforms the wear to school. I am thus really seeking help with opening of the business so I can take care of my needs and that of the children.

Hello, my name is Shavontay Brooks. I am 37 years old, a single mom of one child (boy) who just graduated high school who I now have to support while he is perusing to be an electrician. I am a registered nurse at my local hospital in California. I graduated from a private RN school in 2019. I earned my bachelor’s degrees in Registered Nursing. Graduating was excising for me. Being a nurse was my passion since the 6th grade. However, as I started making money, I developed more problems (money problems) debt that is not getting better even when I pay extra on my credit and loan bills. I found that the more money I made, the less I could keep in my pocket. This makes it very hard for me to keep up with my mortgage and other bills.
