Help with attorney fees to protect 4 year old twins.

I am trying to find help to pay my attorney fees and protect my four-year-old twins. I have an ex who has left me as a single mom because he is an alcoholic and is emotionally and sometimes physically abusive. There is a real fear of this coming down on my children and I am desperate. I have tried to find a loan and no one will help me. He keeps threatening the court and trying to drag me into court to try to bully me to go back to him. There is a legitimate fear of him taking my children and running to Wisconsin and me never seeing them again because he ran with them. I  want to protect my twin daughters and to make sure they are safe. The only way at this point is to pay for my attorney’s fees to be paid. I am on a very fixed income and I desperately need help it is hard to ask for help but I am swallowing my pride for my children.

Need a small cushion to get back on my feet

First, thank you so, so much for taking the time to read. I initially tried to make this more succinct, but once I started, I couldn’t trim it down because everything feels important to clarify. I’ve never had to ask for money like this before, so getting past the shame has been difficult.

It started back in 2020, like I’m sure it did with a lot of people. I was in a decent place financially, and then the pandemic hit. At the time, I was working under an extremely toxic boss who resisted all calls for quarantine and work-from-home. We (my department) finally managed to work out a schedule of alternating half of us working from home one day while the others were in the office and swapping every day. But my/our boss’ ambivalence and the global situation eventually lead to my having a series of panic attacks ending in a mental breakdown on top of contracting COVID myself. This landed me in the emergency room one morning, and that left me with a $2000 medical bill. This was just the start.

A few months afterwards, once that bill came into repayment, I had another medical crisis. I started noticing discharge and strangeness in my breasts, and through the rest of the year, I went to different doctors, had all sorts of other tests done, and by December 2020, I was down two breasts from a double mastectomy and another $10,000 in medical bills. This is all part of the 20% my insurance wouldn’t cover.

2021 and 2022 didn’t go much better. In addition to needing to repay all of this, I have an old car (2011 – 130k miles) which needed a lot of work. The auxiliary battery went out ($300), the windshield needed to be replaced ($350), the tires needed to be replaced ($500), the alignment needed to be fixed, etc. Plus regular maintenance. By 2022, my “relatively safe” financial situation had been decimated.

2023 – more medical bills. COVID again. A diabetes diagnosis. A Long COVID diagnosis. Vet bills – I have an 11-year-old cat who, while relatively healthy for now, needs medicine and special food. My car needed new brakes. My mortgage went up. My utilities went up. Gas went up. Groceries went up. Yard maintenance went up (I have to pay someone to mow my yard because I’m physically incapable of doing it myself, and I’ll get fined by my HOA if it isn’t mowed). Inflation. And more and more and more.

In 2023, I had to take out a home equity line of credit on my house with an exorbitant interest fee just to consolidate some of the bills I was struggling to keep up with. Now, in 2024, I’ve had to negotiate with a credit counseling firm to get my medical bill-maxed credit card down to a reasonable interest rate so I can maybe pay it down one day. I’ve been applying to better paying jobs for four years with no results.

My total monthly bills (before “luxuries” like groceries, gas, and cat food) come to around $2200. Which is exactly what I make after taxes on my paycheck per month, so there’s literally nothing to spare for the above “luxuries”. I’m constantly in the red now. I’ve been living off of baked potatoes and cereal for almost two years. As of writing, my bank account is –$405 (yes, that’s a negative), soon to be worse once they add in the $35 overdraft fee (again). My house payment is $850 and due next week.

If I can just get a couple thousand to act as a cushion between paychecks, that would help tremendously. Just not having to worry about overdraft fees on top of everything else would make it easier to sleep. Having a cushion I could go to the next time my cat needs to go to the vet or I have a follow-up doctors appointment or my car needs an oil change – there aren’t enough words to describe how much that would help.

Again, thank you so, so much for taking the time to read my plea, even if you can’t donate. I appreciate your kindness and understanding more than I can say.

Help Needed

Warm greetings 😊

Thank you for taking the time to read. I’m currently losing a catch up game with my finances.

Currently, I’m struggling to keep food on the table and a roof over my families head. I’m a single mother, working as a daycare teacher. I work as much as I can to keep things going. Earlier this year, after my landlord raised the rent I was working 13 days in a row, a getting one day of rest, then starting over again. This pace made me ill, I guess my immune system must have been low, for I cought a stomach Flu, followed by the flu and this lead me to have a seizure. My job as a Daycare teacher, doesn’t offer benefits like other jobs. Therefore during my recovery time there was no income. I’ve fallen back in car insurance, rent and utilities.

During the time I got sick, I was also due for my recertification for SNAP, I reapplied and I’m still waiting. I’m hopeful I’ll be able to successfully obtain a second job soon, got an interview lined up. However, my landlord is already threatening to evict me.

My alternator died and I changed it myself, to save money on sending it elsewhere and to have safe, reliable transportation for my family and myself. I mostly use the vehicle to run errands and go to and from work. I make $50 of gas last at least 2 weeks, until my next paycheck.

Monthly rent is 975 and my last paycheck was around 800. I chose to feed my family. So I need help with the rent. I owe a little less than 1660. Please help, it’ll be greatly appreciated and a blessing to a struggling family.

I’m asking for help with my most pressing matter. God knows and will allow me to get all other matters figured out. My cash app is $AurianaMelendez

Need help to pay off debt

Good morning, afternoon and evening to all.

I consider myself a hardworking man in my early 40s who has hit on hard times trying to keep up with the mortgage, credit cards and utility bills. I work full time and try to get as many overtime hours as i possibly can but the only way i can get the extra work at my job is if i travel out of state for 1 to 2 weeks. Inside i know that it’s all for a good cause but the other side of me struggles every time i leave home to make extra money. It breaks my heart to say goodbye to my two beautiful children and a fiancé who is absolutely the best mother to our kids that a man could ever wish for. Since daycare costs a fortune we try to save by her taking care of our kids during the day and working remotely after 3pm. If im not away i take care of the kids when i get home while she works.
My debt started growing once we purchased our home in NYC. What seemed like a pretty good choice turned into a nightmare once we started to fix things up and tried to remodel the place to make it into a home for our 1 week old newborn at that point. What was supposed to be a quick facelift became a complete internal demolition once we found out the previous owners had two dogs that barely went outside to pee and poop. Between the rotted corners of each wall and the urine soaked floors under the rugs, it was a mental challange not to loose our heads. Don’t even get me started on the urine filled vents that were few inches off the floor. We quickly realized why the house always smelled freshly cleaned and had scented candles burning all over the place when we did our walkthroughs. It also made sense why they had a ton of moving boxes until we signed the papers. Gutting and rebuilding inside of the house quickly drained most of our savings and we had to lean of credit cards to finish the job. Six more months and $28,000 in bills later we were able to move in to the house as the pandemic took over the US. For the first two years i was able to manage without feeling the financial strain but late last summer we were hit with two heavy thunderstorms that made two floods within a 4 week period. Most annoying part is that the water/mud that came from the city street sewers that overflowing so i only received $5000 from the insurance for both cases. Between the garage and the basement we had over $20,000 worth of damages. After throwing out most of our stuff and removing the floor as well as 3 ft of sheetrock from every wall in the basement due to wet muddy substance everywhere, we started fixing things up all over again. I was lucky enough to have a friend that helped me rebuild the basement for virtually no pay. Still the materials and appliances hit me below the belt financially. Currently I am about $34,000 in credit card debt and I would be eternally grateful with any financial help. I will do what ever it takes to recover from this hole of mental and financial misery so i can give my family better life than i ever had. I also still owe my fiancé a proper wedding which we have been putting off due to this struggle. One way or another I’ll pull through.

Thank you to everyone who can help and even if you don’t have money to donate I’m happy you read this because it feels good to get this weight off my chest.

Van for roadie

https://cash.app/$carloswinz

I did 17 years in the navy but 6 months before my naval career came to an end my wife filed for divorce. She took my two sons and sued me and essentially took everything I had. I haven’t seen my kids in almost 6 years and most of my money went to child support and attorneys. I find myself so depressed these days it hard to get out of bed. I have been so depressed I don’t even enjoy my hobbies anymore. The only thing that keeps me going is setting goals and accomplishing them. Lately I have been driving for a company called roadie. Where you offer to deliver medications, tires and Walmart orders. I’m barely making enough to get by because I have a small car but if I had a van I would get so much more opportunities. Anything towards a van for me would help me tremendously. Thank you for reading.

“Help Sri Lankan Family Overcome Illness and Financial Hardship”

“Help Sri Lankan Family Overcome Illness and Financial Hardship”

Dear Respected Benefactor,

I come to you with a heavy heart, seeking your compassionate assistance during a time of immense adversity. In January, I was stricken by the debilitating dengue fever, which has had a severe and lasting impact on my health and overall well-being.

Regrettably, the lingering effects of this illness have led to the loss of my employment, leaving me in a state of deep distress, unsure of how I will be able to provide for the basic needs of my family.

In a desperate attempt to support my loved ones, I had previously borrowed money from a lending company by mortgaging my land. However, due to unforeseen circumstances, I am now urgently in need of $1,520 USD to clear the outstanding debt associated with this land. Additionally, I have incurred small loans from other lending institutions, which I am struggling to repay, further exacerbating my financial predicament. I have also had to pawn my wife’s gold jewelry in order to feed my family, which requires an additional $2,033 USD to clear.

The gravity of my situation has only been compounded by the fact that I am in dire need of eye surgery, which will cost an additional 800USD. Without a stable source of income, I am deeply concerned about my ability to afford this crucial medical treatment.

Amidst this overwhelming hardship, I have been tirelessly searching for new job opportunities, particularly outside of Sri Lanka, in the hope of providing a more stable future for my family. However, my efforts thus far have been met with limited success, leaving me in a state of profound uncertainty.

I understand that you, as a respected and compassionate individual, have your own obligations and challenges to navigate. However, I humbly beseech you to consider my desperate plea for assistance. Any contribution you can make towards the 4,573 USD I require to settle my outstanding debts and provide for my family’s basic needs would be an immense blessing and a testament to your generosity.

I assure you that if I am fortunate enough to secure employment outside of Sri Lanka, I will make it my utmost priority to repay the amount you so graciously offer. My commitment to restoring stability and dignity to my family’s life is unwavering, and I am confident that with your support, I can overcome this profound hardship. Dear sir now I haven’t any single cents to feed my family. Last few days we will live only drinking water that’s my situation pls help me to success my life sir.

I remain hopeful for a positive response and sincerely thank you for your time and consideration.

Help And Become a Partner of A Worthy Cause

I am in need of desperate  funding help. I am restarting a business in Illinois, that has been pretty much dormant since 2022 due to prior  health issues. (Now resolved). I specialize in making products to sell internationally within the radio control hobby industry and other freelance projects…. www.wildbluerc.net is our website.  We are in the process of becoming an LLC  with the near future goal of becoming a 501C3 non profit organization.

. My mission while making a living is to  offer training and employment for people difficult to employ such as :

  • ex-offenders,
  • especially disabled veterans,
  • special needs individuals.
  • An environment conducive to their individual abilities, needs and requirements. We offer a variety of training in 3Dprinting, CNC laser cutting, thermal vacuum forming, rotational molding, and general Artisan skill development. All as a paid “on the job” training Criteria. We will  offer extra training in a classroom like structure to those who want to excel in personal development beyond our workplace requirements. Options to allow for them to leave our establishment and pursue other employment elsewhere with the training tools we provided. an open revolving door to go thru.

I have started operations already with a core group of myself and 2 other management people. I have been paying for the company’s operations out of my own pocket up to this point. It has kept us alive but barely on life support. I need at least 5 people in management(including myself),  to oversee and  begin my training and production processes.. More people will be added  to our training program after we reach production goals and are established ready to implement our business plan.

I need approximately $50,000.00 to jump start and  afford the management employees ( part-time) for our start up for approximately 3 months , to afford their training, purchase tooling and construction materials used in our processes, and other mandatory expenses such as our lease and utilities to accommodate this restart. Any considerable  amount towards our projected funding goal would be most appreciated. There are many perks  and partnership deals offered for  helping fund our need and  total transparency and visible documentation following our endeavors will be available to view to see where the money raised is going and is to be used. Please consider helping us with this venture. Thank You.

Single income mom of two

Hello to whoever is reading this, in the situation where I find my self begging for money is unfortunate. I do not have a sob story nor do I want to make up one. In reality I’m just really needing help, bills are piling up and debt is becoming unbearable. I’m an active duty military mom of 2 under 2 and the pay is just not enough to cover the expenses . I really just need a cushion so that I can be ahead of my bills. Living paycheck to paycheck trying to provide for my babies. The stress is killing me. The world is hurting and it’s so unfortunate and I feel so much more fortunate than others who don’t have a job or home I hate that I’m even asking. But what if I become one of them and I could’ve prevented it just by asking for help. Everyone I have in my life all need help help too and if I’m able to get a little help and get on my feet and ahead of my bills, I can also pay it forward. Thank you so much for reading this far. If you’re willing to help, anything will do, I’m hoping to get a total of $10,000 . Cashapp $sansavan

Help My Mothers Business

Im asking for anyone to help my Mother’s restaurant. On May 9th, a power line company by the name of Micheals Power Inc came to the building where my mother has her restaurant unannounced. They gave a notice just a couple hours before they cut off the power and said they would turn the power back on in two hours. When working on the power lines, there was a complete power surge in the restaurant and all of the fridges, freezers and machines completely burned out beyond repair. In addition to that, not only did my mother lose almost all of her equipment but everything inside. All of the meats, frozen produce, fish, fresh produce, and dairy products had to be thrown away. With the equipment and loss of goods the total loss is minimum 50k. Due to the power surge, it resulted in revenue loss for our small family business. This business is my family’s main source of income. I’m asking for everyone to try help my mother keep her restaurant up and running. Anything helps!

Kindness is always rewarded!

I am a native of the Bay Area and a first-generation Mexican-Costa Rican college graduate. As the youngest of three siblings and the only woman, I naturally assumed the role of provider. I was the only one who fulfilled my parents’ aspirations of completing college and entering the corporate world. As a provider, I was seen as reliable, and I found it difficult to refuse my close family and friends.

However, through many life lessons and hardships, I realized that some people are only present when they have access to you and your resources, and once those are gone, you find yourself alone. I was in a four-year relationship with someone who used their mental health as an excuse for poor behavior and an inability to hold a steady job. Fearing they might harm themselves, I felt pressured to cover their bills.

Years of taking care of others left me with no savings and maxed-out credit cards. Despite my kindness and generosity, I am now facing financial difficulties. I don’t want to change who I am, but I have learned the importance of being selective about who I help.

I am seeking an opportunity to start over. I recently secured a position with a company in the trash and recycling sector, a field I have always dreamed of working in. With these positive changes, I am seeking $100,000 in funding to distance myself from my toxic family and focus on building a stable and independent life.

Kindness always reciprocates. Thank you for your generosity.

Help Larissa Access Life-Saving Treatment for a Rare Syndrome

Hi everyone,

My name is Larissa Emiliano Rodrigues Costa, and I am a 28-year-old single mom to a wonderful 7-year-old boy. Since November 2023, I’ve been battling severe health issues, resulting in eight hospitalizations so far. I have been diagnosed with Familial Mediterranean Fever, an ultra-rare, incurable autoinflammatory syndrome caused by a mutation in the MEFV gene. This condition leads to numerous complications, including sepsis, recurrent gastrointestinal infections, and lung and kidney infections. These are not bacterial infections but inflammatory attacks from my own body.

The inflammations mainly target my abdominal organs, causing excruciating pain that requires intravenous medications like morphine, fentanyl, and methadone to manage. I also need IV medications to help me eat and sleep.

When I’m not in the hospital, I rely on strong and expensive medications to manage my pain, such as Buprenorphine patches, which I need to change every five days.

Despite all these efforts, these treatments only manage the symptoms. For effective treatment, I need a genetic sequencing test for the MEFV gene. Unfortunately, this test is very expensive and has been denied by my health insurance. Without it, I cannot receive proper treatment or access a critical immunobiological medication called ILARIS (canakinumab), which I need every 45 days. Each dose of ILARIS costs approximately $20,000.

As a single mom, my biggest hope is to be there for my son, to watch him grow, and to be able to take care of him. Your support can make a significant difference in my life and health. Any contribution, big or small, will be deeply appreciated.

Thank you for your kindness and generosity.

Sincerely,

Larissa Emiliano Rodrigues Costa

I don’t want to fail my family

I am here asking for help to pay my rent, water and electric bills that are due tomorrow and Tuesday. I messed up by counting on a job that I interviewed twice for, but the company has started dragging their feet. So now I don’t have enough for our rent, bills or food for that matter. I have never had to beg for money like this; I’ve always had a job and provided for my family. I have tried getting a small loan but ever since the COVID shutdown, everything has been tough. My wife can’t work right now due to mold poisoning. I was finally able to get us out of the house that was causing the issues in Houston TX and moved us to Florida. We all love it here and don’t want to leave. To be honest, I don’t even have the money to move our stuff if it comes to that. I hope and pray that someone reads this that can help us. I will pay all the money back once I get a job.

My PayPal is @chuckhattaway

Thank you for this opportunity.
