“Help Sri Lankan Family Overcome Illness and Financial Hardship”

I come to you with a heavy heart, seeking your compassionate assistance during a time of immense adversity. In January, I was stricken by the debilitating dengue fever, which has had a severe and lasting impact on my health and overall well-being.

 

Regrettably, the lingering effects of this illness have led to the loss of my employment, leaving me in a state of deep distress, unsure of how I will be able to provide for the basic needs of my family.

 

In a desperate attempt to support my loved ones, I had previously borrowed money from a lending company by mortgaging my land. However, due to unforeseen circumstances, I am now urgently in need of $1,520 USD to clear the outstanding debt associated with this land. Additionally, I have incurred small loans from other lending institutions, which I am struggling to repay, further exacerbating my financial predicament. I have also had to pawn my wife’s gold jewelry in order to feed my family, which requires an additional $2,033 USD to clear.

 

The gravity of my situation has only been compounded by the fact that I am in dire need of eye surgery, which will cost an additional 800USD. Without a stable source of income, I am deeply concerned about my ability to afford this crucial medical treatment.

 

Amidst this overwhelming hardship, I have been tirelessly searching for new job opportunities, particularly outside of Sri Lanka, in the hope of providing a more stable future for my family. However, my efforts thus far have been met with limited success, leaving me in a state of profound uncertainty.

 

I understand that you, as a respected and compassionate individual, have your own obligations and challenges to navigate. However, I humbly beseech you to consider my desperate plea for assistance.
