Help a Single Father Complete His 21-Year Education Journey

Life rarely follows the path we initially envision. At 19, I became a single father to two beautiful boys, and with that responsibility came the difficult decision to put my education on hold. While many of my peers were completing their degrees, I was learning to balance work and fatherhood, determined to provide the best possible life for my sons.

Now, at 40, I stand at a special moment in my two-decade journey toward completing my Bachelor of Applied Science degree. My return to education wasn’t just about personal achievement—it was about showing my sons that it’s never too late to pursue your dreams and that persistence matters more than perfect timing.

However, I’ve encountered an unexpected obstacle in this final stretch. Due to a recent change to the Department of Education policy that requires students to complete their degree within 150% of the required program credits, I’ve lost my financial aid eligibility. This policy doesn’t account for adult continuing educational students like myself who’ve had to take a longer path due to life circumstances.

I now find myself $1,038 short for my final semester—the last hurdle between me and my degree. While this amount is significant to me at this moment, it is all that stands between completing my education this semester and facing a delay in graduation. A delay would postpone my career advancement opportunities and impact the momentum I’ve built over these years of study.

Your support would mean more than just helping with tuition; it would be an investment in a story of perseverance, the power of setting an example for our children, and the belief that education should be accessible to dedicated students regardless of their path to get there. Every contribution, no matter the size, brings me closer to completing this two-decade journey and showing my sons that we can overcome any obstacle with determination and support. Thank you for considering supporting my final step toward graduation.
Sincerly,

Daddy On Duty

HELP FOR CHILDREN IN DIFFICULTY

Hello,

I’ve come to you, full of hope, in order to carry out a project that’s close to my heart. For as long as I can remember, I’ve wanted to help others.

Let me tell you a little of my story: I was born on Reunion Island, in the Indian Ocean, into a very modest, even poor, family.

Thanks to my parents’ determination to see me through life, I was able to study in France.

I came to France with my boyfriend at the time, who was studying medicine, and we got married in France. My love for children was so great that I had seven children, I felt that every child coming into the home had to be there, I felt invested with a certain mission; my 6ᵉ and 7ᵉ children were twins, I was excited to live this new adventure, but the universe had something else planned for me: after an unusual pregnancy, I gave premature birth to a boy and a girl : The boy was doing well, but as for my daughter, I knew as soon as she was born that something wasn’t quite right: after genetic tests, the news came through, heavy with meaning and frightening at the time: my daughter was suffering from a rare genetic disease: Prader Willi syndrome. It was a journey full of unknowns and doubts, but also of joys, sorrows, fears, pain, learning and discoveries about myself and others.

My disabled daughter opened up a world I didn’t know, not always an easy one, but she enabled me to develop a heightened self-awareness and to open up to true love for others and myself.
The years went by, with ups and downs, one of them being my life-shattering divorce, but it was a vital decision for me.

Today, I’m remarried to a Togolese man, and I go through life with a different vision, with more gratitude for everything I’ve learned in my life, thanks to my ordeals: I tell myself that I was very lucky, that my children were very lucky to live in a country where they could eat their fill and have everything they needed, that my disabled daughter was lucky to be in a country where she could be cared for properly, and live well with her illness, despite the difficulties.

Unfortunately, this is not the case for all children. My first contact with Africa was in 2017, in Côte d’Ivoire, and I was struck by the misery and distress of the children there. It was the start of a human, humanitarian adventure for me, I just couldn’t stand watching and doing nothing.

I met my husband in Togo in 2019, as he was president of a humanitarian association, during a humanitarian mission I made to Togo in 2019.

We talked a lot about the living conditions of children who were starving, deprived of the essentials, and orphans living in the streets, deprived even of the security, love and comfort that every child should enjoy. I therefore decided to create an association in October 2020: LES AMIS DU MONDE FRANCO TOGOLAIS, in favor of orphaned and destitute children, and together with my husband we launched the “light and life” project, to guarantee a life full of light to children who have very little. We have found sponsors to make a monthly donation of €20 to a child, it’s not much, but it changes their lives: to date, we are still a small association, including 9 sponsors and 24 sponsored children (some sponsors look after several children), we have no shortage of projects to help them and improve their lives, but we need funds, to do more. So many children have vital unmet needs! So many mothers are raising their children alone after the death of their fathers or after abandonment: I can still see in their eyes the hope they place in us to bring them a little comfort!

That’s why I’m turning to you, because we can’t do it alone, there’s so much to do, we have the will, but we need the means. I’m so happy to have discovered this site with such generous people, and I thank you for it.

We’ve collected toys, clothes and shoes for children and adults, and my husband and I are planning to send them to Togo in large boxes by boat, and our plan is to go there to distribute them in the villages to children and women… and we also want to list the needs in these villages, in the schools, the health care needs for the children, so that we can set up other projects to improve the lives of the children and the population in general: single mothers struggling to look after their children, children who sometimes die for lack of health care – because in Togo, as in most poor African countries, there’s no health care without money, young girls who sometimes end up badly because there’s no proper education or access to training to make them self-sufficient; so we need to go to Togo to carry out these projects, and make sure they succeed.

To do this, we need time and money. My husband and I are currently on interim assignments, so we don’t have a stable financial situation, but we want to give ourselves time to carry out this great project for Togo, and give of our time to humanitarian work.

We need between one and two months to go to the villages, talk to the village chiefs and teachers, see the needs of the population, distribute what we’ve sent by boat: we’ll need to have a financial resource during this time when we’re not working to meet our own needs, our rent in France, and the various expenses involved in carrying out the project: buying plane tickets, renting a vehicle, local accommodation, food, and other expenses inherent in this project.

So if this project has touched your heart, which I truly hope it will, we turn to you and ask you to show your generosity, and support us so that we can make it all happen.

My husband and I would like to thank you in advance for your help.

We are going to make a photo report and videos that we can send to you so that you can see the realization of the projects.

THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF OUR HEARTS

Scammed!

The most embarrassing part is: I should’ve known better. I wanted to make some passive income and that “gig” has put me in debt of $57000. My intention was to raise money to send my son to college. As a single mom, my goal is to support him on his journey to further his education. Yet, this “gig” put me in a hole I cannot dig myself out of, mortgage is due and I cannot catch a break.

My hope is to at least get out of debt, I can suffer through a Christmas without. But the fear of losing my home, being underwater with bills – my income alone won’t be able to handle.

I’m asking for help, with my tail between my legs. I just want the chance to look my child in the face and not feel like a failure.

Happy Holidays

BAD STUFF THATS HAPPENED TO ME

You could not make it.  A series of calamities has hit my life this year. I am an ex lawyer. I live by myself.

6 months ago I had a good business. Now I have nothing. I have been  duped by a con man. My Regulator has suspended my license to practice. I have debts that this con man has saddled me with. I face potential bankruptcy proceedings. I have no funds left.

And the ironic part of all this tale of disaster is I have been looking for a partner for some  years to share my  life with. And amongst all the wreckage of the last year  I finally found one. We talk daily. she lives in Scotland. She wants to fly to me. Out of all this disaster I have found the love of my life.

I have lent her money in the past when I had some as I helped her through her nursing exams. Her mother died several months ago. And after that she discovered that her mother through her father left her a substantial legacy  that we knew nothing about that is secured in Canada. We have raised funds for the tax to release  this asset but not enough . If it is released all my life’s problems and hers would be solved in a flash. The security company that hold her legacy need a deposit to pay tax. She and I and her family cousins through personal sacrifice have raised most of the money but we are just £2000.00 short of the deposit payment to release her legacy. I do not have a Paypal account as it is in arrears and has been suspended. If you respond to this email I can reply and supply bank details for your donation . And I promise you that will be repaid once the asset has been released by the shortfall balance that is needed. So I please ask for your help in this. Thank you.

Spent the last 15 years in a toxic relationship

My name is Katie. I got in my first relationship young and didn’t know any better. As the years progressed, I found out he had started using drugs and that when the violence started. Emotional, physical, and when they separate you from your family and friends you have nowhere to go, no way to leave. It destroyed my psyche. I finally left only to find myself in a worse situation. He started out amazing only to flip like a switch one day. He beat me, knocked my teeth out and threatened my life daily. This has been the last 15- 20 years of my life. It has broken me down so badly. I have no self esteem, no friends, no family. I recently took what few things I left and had been living in my car until I had a nice friend offer to let me stay for a little while but this is in no way a permanent solution as they have a family. I would like to get back on my feet, possibly fix my teeth. And be able to get my life back together. Any help would be much appreciated and I would be forever grateful. Thank you for listening.

Retired Disabled School Teacher Needs Mortgage Assistance

My name is Verdell, and I am a 64 year old, disabled, retired teacher, who occasionally works as a substitute for the West Contra Costa Unified School District Richmond, CA. (WCCUSD)  I work for the district to help subsidize my income, however, there is a cap on the amount of money I am allowed to make each year due to my disability. I have had a right knee replacement, and a left hip replacement.  The knee replacement has not healed well and causes constant pain.

The Covid-19 pandemic caused many issues for me.  I have a duplex with two units.  I rented one unit to a male Section 8 recipient with a young daughter.  The daughter had recently lost her mother and she therefore began living with her dad.  They lived there several years but soon the daughter moved out because the father began letting other men move into the home and she did not feel safe.  Also there was drug use going on.  Eventually the people that moved into the apartment forced the Section 8 recipient out of his own home.  I now had squatters that had to be evicted. They took the wires out of the heater and let the dog poop on the floor in the living room.  There was no electricity or water in the unit. They were stealing electricity to run a generator, from the neighbors. I hired a lawyer to help me evict the squatters.  I was able to get a payment plan from the lawyer.  The process took 5 months and I did not receive ant rent for that unit for 5 months.  The eviction took place March 3, 2024.  The apartment was trashed and destroyed.  The wood floor was damaged and buckled and many of the doors were burnt or kicked in.  The rehabilitation of the unit took an additional 4 months and I had to move into the unit as I worked on it.

The second unit was rented to a mother and her daughter.  Soon the husband moved in and their two sons.  One of the sons had two daughters that moved in as well.  The father assulted me because he did not want me in the unit to complete an inspection and that resulted in a restraining order against him.  The father was rude and disrespectful to me during their stay.  The father was running a car repair shop in the unit which resulted in the neighbors complaining of the traffic and the filth around the unit.  The City of Richmond was also complaining of the multiple broken down car, unregistered car, and car parts all over the property.  After many requests for the tenants to comply with the conditions of their lease, the neighbors began serving me with affidavits of complaints for the destruction of property in the neighborhood.  I had to evict them as well with the assistance of the lawyer I hired.  In court on January 12, 2024, the Judge gave them an additional 4 months to live rent free.  They were to move out April 31, 2024.  From November 1, 2023 until April 31, 2024 I did not receive any rent from that unit.  The unit was completely destroyed and infested with roaches, even though I had a rodent control service which was not allowed to go into the unit to spray.  The process was a nightmare.

Paying the mortgage and the bills for the duplex without receiving any rent, hiring a lawyer, and completely rehabilitating the property was difficult and costly.  I completely exhausted my savings and spent all the money I made on my job.  I was able to keep afloat through October 31, 2024, but after that I have fallen behind on my mortgage for November 2024.  Since I will not be able to return to work until January 2025, I will not be able to make payment for the mortgage in December 2024 either.  At that point I will be heading toward foreclosure because I will be unable to catch up.

I need help paying the mortgage and paying the lawyer fees. I seriously try to be self reliant.  I do not like to ask for help.  However, my back is against the wall and I am having a difficult time facing the future.  Who would have thought that helping others with young children would end up with me losing my home.  I am asking for $10,000 to help me catch up on my mortgage and to help me pay for the lawyer.  Thank you for listening and reading this post.  Thank you in advance for any assistance you are able to give.

You may forward any payments to:   paypalme/simontatum

Urgent Assistance Needed for Car Repairs and Family Necessities

Dear Kind Hearts,

I am reaching out with a heavy heart in hopes of finding support during a challenging time. As a single parent of two beautiful children, I strive to provide them with a loving and stable home, but lately, life has thrown us more obstacles than I can handle.

I am a type 1 diabetic, which adds another layer of financial strain as I manage my health alongside my family’s needs. My children, who are both in need of glasses, also require food, clothing, and other essentials. Despite my tireless efforts to work and make ends meet, I find myself struggling to keep up with the mounting costs of everyday living.

As the cold weather approaches, my situation has become even more urgent. My car, which is essential for getting to work and taking care of my children, is in dire need of repairs. Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to afford the necessary fixes, leaving us without heat in the car and unable to renew my registration. To make matters worse, I have failed emissions testing for almost two years, which adds to the stress of keeping my family safe and warm.

I am humbly asking for any financial assistance to help cover the costs of my car repairs and to provide for my children’s basic needs. Your generosity would not only help us in this moment of crisis but would also give us hope for a brighter future. Every little bit makes a difference, and I would be incredibly grateful for your support.

Thank you for taking the time to read our story, and for considering helping our family during this difficult time.

With heartfelt gratitude,

Mini

Things have piled up!

Despite facing some really difficult times in our past 7 years together we would find a way through. It seemed like at the very last moment, when all hope seemed to be lost, someone would show up with exactly what we needed to make those ends meet. And from there we could take what little bit of help that came our way and we were back in the race. I must admit, that our survival every time was almost solely due to the hard work of my boyfriend who honestly, has worked magic with the little we have had. Together, we are fighters, we have clawed our way back from places 99% of people just can’t come back from. Both of us were homeless prior to meeting but since getting together we have lived at the same apartment since July 2nd, 2018. We have found strength in one another during times of self-doubt, we have found a way,  even if we had to pave the path ourselves and we have fought fair even when everyone around us was doing the opposite. We have weathered every storm…until now.

Tonight, this straw has officially broken the camel’s back. If we can’t find a kind person to give us a hand, we will drown.

Back to 2021, my boyfriend was taken to the hospital because of stomach cramps and within 35 minutes of being admitted he was on life support. He had an oxygen level of 72 when the average healthy adult’s oxygen levels usually fall between 95-100. I was told had he of fallen asleep that night he would’ve passed away in his sleep. He would’ve suffocated to death.

Come to find out, he had blood clots in his legs that had traveled to his lungs and 2 weeks after being admitted to the ER a scan revealed  over 40 clots between both lungs. To add insult to injury, literally, due to not being moved his first week on life support he had contracted a bad case of pneumonia along with a large pocket of fluid under his left arm pit. He spent 2 more weeks in the ICU before they told us he needed to be put back on life support because they had been successful in getting source control. Basically, they couldn’t stop his body from shutting down despite putting him through the misery of inserting 3 chest tubes between his ribs to drain the fluid. So he was back on life support for another 8 days. For 22 days he had those tubes in his back! Finally, he was released from the hospital on his 47 day and we couldn’t have been happier. Little did we know our fight had just begun…Which brings us to where I am now. 3 years, 2 more pneumonia episodes, 1 type 2 diabetes diagnosis, 1 shoulder surgery, 1 stolen antique, and 1 broken deep freezer later, writing this campaign in my pajamas on our basement stairs, after helping clean up 20lbs ( literally 20lbs) of meat and other good food gone bad, after our deep freezer broke this morning. I am begging any kind person who can help to please help us.We need money for groceries, our food stamps are already used up and since the majority of our food was in the deep freezer, I am afraid if we can’t find a way to get groceries until the beginning of January what will happen. We go to the local food banks but losing this amount of food is devastating.

To make ends meet we get vintage and antique items from estate sales, auctions, yard sales etc… Clean and fix them up to resell online through my Ebay account. In July an Ebay customer of ours scammed us out of an $750 vintage Geiger Chatham Scintillation Radiation Detector Counter (Model SC-102). Then, as if losing this extremely rare and super expensive piece wasn’t enough, Ebay turned around and put my Ebay account $721 in the negative so I basically couldn’t sell anything since I couldn’t pay for shipping costs. 5 days after all of this happened Ebay then tried to take that money from my Chase Bank account. This resulted in 2 overdraft fees at $34 each and a $35 returned check fee for one of my credit card payments that bounced due to my account being in the negative. I opened a fraud case with the local police, contacted Ebay and Fed-ex and opened fraud cases with them, I even contacted the BBB. I got no traction with anyone!! Everyone kept passing the buck and to make matters worse the item I had for sale (Which was extremely unique, it was even in the Smithsonian Journal) is being resold on Ebay as we speak!! I told Ebay, they have done nothing! we got my ebay account in good standing but all other bills have become late, I have also had to take out two loans just for food and toilet paper etc.

Like the 2010 Ford truck we bought at the end of the spring. It wasn’t taken care of at all by the previous owner. But it has worked really good until this week it has begun to idle very low, so I made an appointment with Ford to find out what’s going on in the  18th of December. Things we KNOW that are needed on the truck that have been put off: new wheel on the back passenger side, a new windshield, new brakes and rotors, 4 tires as ours are bald and a diagnostic test to find out the reason behind the check engine light being on.

My monthly check is barely enough to cover our rent, not to mention all our other bills. My boyfriend is in the middle of applying for disability due to his lungs being so badly scarred he can’t breathe to work.

Is there anyone out there that could help us get back on our feet? We will take grocery food cards, gift cards to get our car worked on at our Ford Dealership (Can give the specific info just contact me), and any other help that you can provide if it helps us accomplish these goals. I have proof of Ebay scam, the overdraft amounts, the loans for groceries and necessities. I have researched the prices of everything listed. We wouldn’t ask if it wasn’t desperately needed. Thanks so much for your patience in reading all of this and thanks so much for helping in any way.

All in all we need $3,383 to get back on our feet.  I can give more details, proof and pictures for anyone who needs them. Thanks so much for reading!

Need to help my loving wife

Hello all,

I’m very much in need of helping my beloved wife get out of debt. She was previously married and her ex-husband opened several credit cards in her name without her knowledge, which she is required to pay.  She is over $18,000 in debt as a result of this. She also has a lot of health issues and goes to the doctor a lot, and even some ER visits. She’s so wonderful to me, but the debt has really taken a toll on our relationship and our marriage. I want nothing more than to help her out of it. My financial situation is not great either. Our house is in poor condition and I’m struggling to afford the payments for my new roof. It’s a 10-year loan with a deadly 12.9% interest rate. Also have some foundation issues with many cracks in the basement walls and I’m very worried and have no emergency funds.

Living Condition: Dystopian?

Dear BeggingforMoney,

My name is Sandra Van Pelt, and I am reaching out for financial assistance during a very challenging time in my life. I am disabled and living on a limited fixed income through disability benefits. Recently, I had to make the difficult decision to move into my garage to accommodate my ten rescue cats, who are like family to me. These cats have been a source of comfort and companionship, and I feel deeply committed to giving them a safe and loving home.

Unfortunately, my garage is not equipped with the basic necessities for livability. It lacks running water and a bathroom, which has made day-to-day life incredibly difficult. I have explored every avenue for funding these upgrades, but with my limited income, it is simply out of reach. The improvements needed would make an enormous difference, allowing me to live more comfortably and with dignity while continuing to care for my rescue cats.

Life has not been easy. I have faced significant challenges, including mobility issues that have limited my ability to seek outside help. I do not have a support system of family members who can assist me financially, and that has made this situation feel even more isolating. Asking for help is never easy, but I am reaching out because I truly need it to improve my living conditions and ensure I can continue caring for my rescue cats while maintaining my health and well-being.

I am seeking financial assistance to cover the costs of installing running water and a small bathroom in my garage. Any contribution, no matter how small, would mean the world to me. It would provide me with a safer, healthier living environment and a renewed sense of hope during a very difficult time.

Thank you for taking the time to read my story. If you have any questions or need more information, I would be happy to provide it. Your kindness and generosity could make a life-changing difference for me and my rescue cats.

With gratitude,

Medical Bill Assistance

I usually do not ask anyone for assistance with anything but i am now in need of assistance with medical bills I have received after my hospital stay in September 2024 for a cardiac condition I have had since March 2024. There is no way I could pay this amount in the time frame that the hospital wants it all paid in full. If anyone is able to assist me in any way, I would greatly appreciate it very much. Every little bit helps get the debt paid off. Thank you to anyone and everyone that can and is able to help me in this financial situation. You will be blessed for helping those that need financial assistance, etc. It never goes unnoticed in any way. A Cry for Help: A Disabled Couple in Need

Our Story

We are a disabled couple facing immense hardship. My wife, Amanda, receives disability benefits, but I have been repeatedly denied despite my inability to work. We’ve been forced into homelessness after facing discrimination and false accusations.

Currently, we’re staying with a family member, but this is a temporary solution. We desperately need a place to call our own – a small, affordable home on some land, away from the noise and stress of city life. We’re open to rent-to-own options or a USDA loan.

Our two beloved fur babies, who are also registered ESAs, are an integral part of our family. They provide comfort and support, especially during these challenging times.

How You Can Help

Your generosity can make a world of difference. Any amount, no matter how small, will bring us closer to our goal of securing a safe and stable home.

Here’s how you can help:

  • Donate: Every dollar counts. Your contribution will help us cover essential expenses like rent, utilities, food, and medical bills.
  • Share: Spread the word by sharing our campaign on social media.
  • Offer Support: If you know of any affordable housing options, rental-to-own opportunities, or USDA loan programs in Northern Kentucky, please reach out.

A Promise

We promise to repay your kindness in any way we can. Your support will not only provide us with a home but also give us hope for a brighter future.

Thank You

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your compassion and understanding. Your generosity will help us rebuild our lives.

Past due rent assistance

To the person reading this message, I hope this it find you well. I am reaching out because I am currently facing an unexpected financial challenge. Due to losing my decent paying job, I am struggling to cover my past-due rent, which has become a significant source of stress for me. My kids see it and I hate showing them this side of me.

I’ve tried putting in a hardship, but my housing landlord basically said “that’s not my problem” and denied it. The landlord also refuses to accept partial payments and coming up with this amount is not possible with my job. I don’t get welfare or child support. I’m currently working but I’m not making nearly enough to catch up (4392.00 total amount owed).

If you’re able to help, my link is https://www.paypal.me/Quataramanrique. Please know that I deeply appreciate your time and consideration, even if helping isn’t possible for you right now.

Thank you for your kindness and understanding.

Warm Regards
