Need help paying education fees

Hello dear people of the internet,

As I read through the pleas of so many of the other good people on the site I think that my troubles are quite small in comparison. If you feel you need to give to anyone else here, than please do so. For a quick summary, I am in need of 5000 dollars to pay the remainder of my tuition by Friday, March 31st or I will be deported.

Currently I’m an immigrant in Australia studying Physics. I’m in my final semester of my Bachelors degree. I’m from Bhutan a developing country in the Himalayas. So far I’ve managed to fund my living and tuition fees,. I’ve worked both part time and cash jobs to make ends meet. However this term I’m short 5000 dollars due to having to help pay for my family’s debts. My father is a traditional painter and his business suffered from some losses during the COVID period and since then we’ve been struggling a little but now in my last semester we haven’t been able to keep up.

Due to my limited visa, it’s difficult to get accepted for any loans, which I had previously been using to help pay the fees in my earlier years. When I began to write this, I felt that my situation was truly dire. I don’t have any wealthy relatives or friends whom I can ask for help. I didn’t know who to turn to and I don’t really know all too much about this. I happened to come across this site from a recommendation by a friend.

In order to make a better pitch, I read through some of the other entrants and felt a tad humbled. I decided to write out a more honest pitch instead. I don’t stand to face anything more than the disappointment and heartbreak of my family, face the poor economic conditions of my home country while trying to pay back loans and debts accrued while pursuing this degree and a great deal of time and money wasted on a degree I’ll fail to complete at the last leg. Although I understand that this is not so bad in comparison to the range of suffering out there, to me it is still terrifying and leaves me with an awful feeling and a heaviness in my heart.

I recognise that my struggles might even be insignificant compared to some of the folks here, and that I’m perhaps a selfish human being for wishing to be helped here. I apologise for the rather mixed and haphazard request I’ve written up and thank you if you’ve spent the time reading it. Despite this I’ll be forever grateful to you if you’d help me in any way you might be able to.

50 Year Bucket List help

This coming June, to celebrate my 50th birthday (belatedly), I am taking an Alaskan cruise with my brother’s family (including my sister-in-law and my two nephews). My brother is one of my best friends and I try to spend as much time with them as I can, especially my nephews (14 and 10) who are an amazing part of my life. I am especially excited to share my love of cruising vacation with the boys.

Here is my ask: I saved enough for the basic fair and the flights to and from the port city. However, I am hoping to be able to afford some extras such as soda and juice packages for the boys, a spa pass or treatment (or two) for my sister in law, maybe some extra classes to take with the boys, send my brother and sister in law on a date night in a specialty restaurant while I go have fun with my nephews, etc. All around, I just want the chance to be an uncle who helped us all have an unforgettable trip. Praying for financial help.

I am asking for financial help with unsecured debt. Unfortunately I have about 70,000 dollars in personal loans and credit cards. The payments total 1300 per month making the minimums. I have a mortgage payment for another 3 full years for 1500 per month. After making these payments there is not much money left over every month which is how I have amassed the unsecured debt. I keep hanging on thinking that things will be much better once my home is paid for. My home needs many repairs that I just cant afford right now. The paint is peeling off the ceilings and window casings. I don’t invite friends to my home, I just don’t want them to know the condition of my house. We discovered termites in our home and I will have to have an exterminator to treat it soon. Last year the tile in the shower began coming off. I had no choice but to repair the bathroom which became another debt. I am employed working full time. I have to pay for our health and dental insurance which is very costly every month. Please help get on top of my bills

Hello. So I’ve really been struggleling with money in the past years due to my mental health which led to me quitting my job. I have been unemployed for around 3 and a half years and got a less than part-time job (don’t know how to say it differently) in a local horse-stable in my town last summer. It is not nearly enough to pay my bills though especially because I am required to pay my own health insurance (It is mandatory in my country). Up until now I was really lucly to be able to receive help from my family but they are also struggling currently and I am to anxious to ask them for more. The bills keep piling up and I just wish to get on top of it for once so that I can hopefully start anew. I have read a lot of stories where people helped one another like this and if I was in a situation where I wouldn’t have to worry about every € I would certainly help others. That’s why I decided to open this. I am really really grateful for every person that takes his/her/their time to reads through this. Even more so if they really decide to donate.

A home to lay our heads, and make a difference as a family of 10!

Seriously seeking a 5 bedroom , 3 bath house to move our very large family too. After living in a beautiful and safe community for almost 8 years, where we got a chance to partially raise our family, we have been notified that we only have a short time left. It was brought to our attention that we only have till April 9th, 2024 to relocate.

After realizing the extensive cost of relocating, from application fees, current rent, utilities, food for our family we have noticed that moving is not within our reach but is yet within our grasp. We want a chance to find another wonderful home to rest our heads and fill our hearts.

I currently hold a stable position in my career, and am very happy there. However at this time the family and I have to pack up and start new. Hoping that we can raise enough money to pay first, last months rent, and security deposit, looking to raise a minimum of $6200.00

Help to Provide Home

Hello! First off, I want to thank you for your time and consideration. I am a single mom asking for help to afford a suitable home for my son and myself. So, Here’s my story and why I’m asking for help. I was once as wild and free as a sweet little girl was made to be. I grew up barefoot (by choice, I never liked to keep shoes on) in the country with an intense love for the outdoors, beautiful flowers, butterflies, kitties, and all the interesting creatures. My family was quite religious and protective, and somewhat stern but amiss all this I grew up spending my days in my own little wonderful paradise of a world. I was that little girl with long bouncy hair who skipped through life without worry, full of love and happiness to share. Then as time went on I grew into an independent young woman with pretty decent morals but a need for fun, laughter, and soul fulfilling experiences. Every opportunity I could find to stretch my wings and fly, I did. Until one day I met a handsome man who loved me and left me at four months pregnant… Yes, he took off, abandoned us with nothing. Which lead me to go back to my family for help. But since I wasn’t married and I refused to settle for someone I didn’t love, my son and I were stamped “a sin” from our family and community. Outdated, right?!! My thoughts exactly but that didn’t stop the ugly rumors and comments. My sister told people I got pregnant walking the streets for drugs.. How mean is that?  First off, where Im from we don’t have streets. We have long winding roads that I’m too scared to walk afraid that some coyote or bobcat might jump out and get me! Second, don’t do drugs, no need or desire to do so! A family acquaintance I grew up with shouted across our local grocery store, where I was working while pregnant, “Have you figured out who the father is yet?” Eyes filled with tears and shame to show my face, I knew I was in this walk alone. So as a young mother without a clue what I was doing and no help from those who I thought loved us, I went to school and achieved an associates degree. Where I work my self 40 hours a week to barely make ends meet and many times only be able to eat ramen noodles and crackers. My son is well mannered and loved. We have a tight relationship, because all we’ve ever had is each other. He is my gift from God, and he loves me more than I could ever deserve. I want him to have what he deserves. With prices and cost of living climbing, I’m no longer able to afford rent or a house payment or even save for a down payment. I make just enough to Not qualify for financial assistance from the government. As he grows older, his needs become more expensive and I just want to give him a life and stable home he can be proud of. We’ve had to move 8 different times due to either not being in a suitable living space to dangerous creepy neighbors, or simply unable to afford it. We just want to feel safe and at home, in our own home. Away from the hate and turned up noses. Not someones basement or paying rent for use of a small musty bedroom. I’m not saying I’m a Queen or too good or anything, but I don’t find it suitable to live with roaches and rodents. So if you find it in your heart to be generous and help us purchase our own home, know that you are the difference in our lives that we’ve been praying for. Assault Survivor and Veteran asking for help getting back into school

My name is Devin Johnson, a 29-years-old from the vibrant city of Chicago with a humble plea for assistance to help rebuild my life after facing unimaginable challenges. My life took an unexpected turn when, while Serving in the United States Navy and studying at Tuskegee University, I was forced medically discharged due to a traumatic incident of sexual assault that left me not only emotionally scarred but also battling the harsh realities of living with HIV, this also forced me to have to drop out of school due to my mental health, being diagnosed with PTSD, and no longer having a means to pay for college. The aftermath of these events led me down a dark path, filled with thoughts of suicide, drug abuse, and a constant struggle with mental health issues.

Through sheer determination and the support of loved ones, I managed to find my way to recovery. I successfully completed rehab and emerged with a newfound strength to confront the challenges that lay ahead. However, the rising costs of mental health treatment and medication have become insurmountable barriers to my progress. Just recently, I faced the heart-wrenching decision of choosing between paying for life-saving medication or retaining my means of transportation to work. The consequence was the repossession of my car, plunging me into a deep depression.  Although, My dream of becoming a father and completing college felt as though it was unfairly taken away from me by someone who had no regard for my well-being, I still have hope, and as hard as this is for me I am desperately asking for assistance and putting aside my pride.

I am asking, not just as a plea for financial assistance, but for a chance at redemption and a renewed sense of purpose. My goal is to raise $50,000 to cover the costs of mental health treatment, medication, my first semester in school (I was recently accepted into the Los Angeles film school to study audio production) and the necessary steps to continue getting back on my feet.

Need help saving my home in Phoenix, Arizona

I am looking for donations to help me pay my rent that was due at the beginning of March.  I have not been able to pay due to being unemployed.  I have received a notice from the landlord that they intend to terminate my residency if I do not pay it.  I could use some help with getting this resolved.  I have lived at my apartment for four years and do not want to lose it now.  That would be to say that in the long run I have been paying my rent; but I will give the background story as to how I am broke to pay it now.

The last time I was current on the rent was back in January.  I was able to pay it back then because I had a job working at Amazon as a delivery station warehouse associate.  I used Flex to pay my rent back then.  Flex is a rent paying service that gives you the ability to pay half of it at a time, but they pay the full rent when it is due at the beginning of the month.  My apartment community participates in that service.  I was already using it for multiple months.  When I first applied for it, I got approved for a five hundred dollar credit line.  For just a couple of small fees, I can pay rent for half at a time without incurring late fees from the landlord, because Flex is a service that pays rent in full on my behalf.  At the beginning of the month, I pay rent except for five hundred dollars through Flex; and then I have until the twenty-fifth of the month to pay back the remaining five hundred dollars to Flex.  I habitually like to get that paid earlier to get it done.  In January, I had a pay day on the twelfth of the month, so I made my payment to Flex that day to be fully paid on rent for the month of January.

The other source of income I had at the time was donating plasma.  It was something that I had been doing for a while, but was looking to take a break from it.  That plan changed; unfortunately due to bad news.  At the time my days to donate were Thursdays and Saturdays.  My hours at the Amazon delivery station were from 1:20 AM to 11:50 AM, Thursday through Sunday.  To supplement my income, I would head to the plasma center after my shift is over on Thursdays and Saturdays to donate plasma.  On the thirteenth of January, it was a Saturday.  While I was donating plasma that day, I received an email from Amazon that reported my season with them is over.  I was not aware that was my last day at Amazon.   I had only worked with them for two months.  What I was told when I first got hired is that seasons normally last three to eleven months, and then the possibility of converting to a permanent employee status to get benefits.  What I did after that was show up to the warehouse at start of shift on Sunday to raise this matter to the attention of a manager.  What she told me was that it could be true that my season was over unfortunately.  She sent me home as the result of that, and was told that I will have to follow up with a human resources specialist when they come in on Monday.  So I went back to see one on Monday and they confirmed that’s true the company did intend to terminate my employment.  I began my job search right away because of this.  I continued to donate plasma since that was my sole source of income until I find a new job, after only taking one week off from it.  Then, my new days to donate were Mondays and Wednesdays.  That was because while I still had my job at Amazon, I scheduled a tooth extraction to take care of a dental emergency.  The extraction occurred on Monday the fifteenth.  I could not continue donating plasma the following Thursday or Saturday, because they defer for seven days after getting a dental extraction.  That’s why the days that I go and donate changed to Mondays and Wednesdays once I was able to return on Monday the twenty-second.  I have been there to donate every Monday and Wednesday since.

During my job search, I have applied for many jobs, and have gone to multiple interviews.  It was not until recently that I finally found one.  While it was still February, I got selected to be hired by a recruiting agency, TalentBridge.  They selected me for a contract-to-hire position I applied for to be a phone customer service representative at Wells Fargo to take calls from Wells Fargo credit cardholders.  I began that work on March the twelfth.  Although that resolves the issue of employment, I still do not have the means of paying the rent.  I only make one hundred and twenty dollars per week from donating plasma.

February rent has been paid to my apartment by using Flex.  Although I had money at the beginning of February to make my first payment to them, I did not have the five hundred dollars plus their ten percent payment fee they require by the twenty-fifth.  So, currently I am five hundred and five dollars indebted to them.  I tried applying for unemployment from the State of Arizona in February to attempt to get help but have yet to be approved for any benefits.  It shows on my unemployment portal when I login online to allow four weeks before contacting their call center.  Since it’s been that long since I initially applied, I tried calling them the other day but it just gives a recording and hangs up.  I kept filing my weekly claims to report my job search activities like they require, but remain clueless as to when I will get paid for a single one of those weekly claims.  Therefore, I cannot count on getting the money I need from unemployment timely enough to stop an eviction from occurring due to no word as to what is holding them back from paying any of my claims or to when I would receive any of them.

Sadly, me finding a new job has yet to be enough to put an end to this trouble; and putting an end to this is strongly desired.  I would hope that I can get the help I need before the local justice court orders me to vacate; and avoid homelessness.  I want to be able to stay in my apartment.  Again, I have been in my apartment for four years, so it is affordable in the long run.  It’s just an issue of me being unemployed for a while that has caused me to fall behind in my financial needs.   If I were to get an order to vacate by the justice court as the result of an eviction lawsuit, even if and when I find a new place to live, I would still be in an unstable situation.  My current lease lasts until the end of the year, so I would still have to pay not only the past due rent but also cover every subsequent month through the end of the year.  I would not be able to afford to take care of that while also paying the rent at whatever place I’d be going to next.  Something that’s characteristic of my apartment is it is one of the cheapest in my city.  That’s why I came here in 2020 and each lease expiration, I would end up renewing because I never found an apartment to stay at where the rent would be cheaper.

My necessity to keep a secure place to live, rather than living on the street is stating the obvious.  However, I am not the only one that would benefit from getting my rent paid.  I do not wish for my problems of unemployment to become my landlord’s.  The landlord is waiting on me to pay the rent to them, and they will have to sue me if I can not pay.  My inability to pay them rent means an income loss for them.  I would rather get the rent paid and fulfill my lease to them then get kicked out and have debt that I could not afford to pay them due to me paying rent at another place instead of to them.  If I get evicted, they would have to spend time, energy, and money getting my rental unit advertised for somebody else to take my place.  And if I do not have a place to move to right away, that also means I would not have a place to move all my possessions to right away.  The landlord would have to hire somebody to pack all my stuff and clean it out of the rental unit, as that would just be another example of how being broke is a disorganized position to be in.  An eviction would also hold me back from getting another place to rent at many places making it harder for me to find a new home as well as for other landlords to be able to make rental income off of me.

Given this situation, I am asking to raise $2,000 to resolve this situation.  What I would spend that money on is either to pay rent to the landlord, to pay back any debt that I have that pertains to paying rent, or income taxes.  The reason I am asking for the liberty to pay income taxes with this money as a secondary priority is for a couple reasons.  First, I have yet to go over my 2023 income taxes to determine if I still owe anything and tax day is near, and if I owe anything then me trying to catch up with rent could hold me back from paying them then occur fines for paying late.  Second, to also acknowledge the possibility of 2024 income taxes, it is my understanding that funds raised by an online donation site would be taxable income.  To prepare for that, I could either send in a check to federal and state tax agencies, or to update my withholdings from my employer and allow your donations to reimburse what would get deducted from my paycheck.  To describe my expenses, rent at my apartment is $985 per month.  Then there’s also tax, and damage fee waiver after that, which brings it up to $1,022.66 per month.  Then there are utilities on top of that too that’s due with the rent to the landlord.  I get a statement by email each month to report the utility amount due.  For not paying on time, there are late fees, fees for servicing notices, and legal fees if they bring an eviction suit against me.  As of 17 March, my rent payment portal reports that I must pay $1,397.40 to be current on the rent and avoid eviction.  That will continue to go up each day as the terms of my lease are to charge late fees for each day.  So there’s margin in my $2,000 figure for further late fees, depending on when I am able to receive the donations I need.  Plus, there is also the possibility of me resolving the $505 I still owe Flex.  Naturally, Flex is not allowing me to use their service until I get that paid, as my credit line with them is only $500 and that is used up from paying February rent.

Urgent Appeal for Financial Assistance for Funeral Expenses

Hello Everyone,

I’m reaching out in a time of dire need. My mother, Alice McBride, passed away on November 12, 2023, without insurance, leaving me with the overwhelming burden of funeral expenses.

I dedicated myself to caring for her while she was in hospice and had to downsize to a one-bedroom apartment afterward. Currently, I’m juggling three jobs: security at night, substitute teaching during the day, and dual-enrollment classes for two high schools. Yes, I am physically exhausted.

Despite my efforts, I’m drowning in financial obligations. I’ve fallen behind on rent, and my car is on the brink of repossession. I have $29,000 in credit card debt and $115,000 in student loans, both past due.

Above all, I need to settle my mother’s mortuary bill and fulfill her wish to be laid to rest beside her grandmother in our family plot in Alabama. The remaining amount needed to settle her bill is $1,600, and to send her home and to have her remains put away properly with a headstone would likely be around another $5,000. This act would provide closure for us all.

I created a GoFundMe account, and out of the 22 people who contributed, we were only able to raise $2,700 out of the original $4,300 goal.

Help me Help my Dasie who can’t stand up anymore.

To the Kind Strangers out there.

I’m begging/asking for help from the kind people of the BeggingMoney site to help me take care of my sweet baby girl, an Australian Cattle Dog, named Dasie.  I want to hire help that will go through the motions of taking care of Dasie with me.  I feel like I’m alone in taking care of Dasie because everyone in my family is busy with their own things.  My stepfather, himself, found out he has cancer two weeks ago.  Also, I need the money to help take her to the clinic/hospital and meds when needed, a cart to cart her around so that she won’t be stuck in the bedroom lonely and afford food that will be good for her.  It will also be good to have someone around her while I have to do some housework and learn how to run a CNC and wood working (want to start a small business in woodworking, I currently have no income) I don’t want her to ever be alone at this time of her life.  I want to At Least pay 2k a month, 500 a week, to the person who will help me.  I am requesting to hire help for at least one to two months if not three.  I’ll take what I can get.  Thank you in advance if you give me the ability to do so.  But even if I can get money just for the hospital bills, I would be really grateful.

My 14 year old Blue Heeler has tumors, bad teeth, arthritis and currently can’t stand.    A doctor had said that even if we paid 20k to do her surgery, she may pass soon after… or won’t last long?  Hm, now I don’t remember what exactly he said.  So I had decided I will go full on home treatment and try to keep her comfortable as much as I can.  Even if it’s too late to try to heal her, I have to try and let her be around family.

Dasie came into my life through the efforts of my youngest brother when he was about 10 years old.  He had named her Dasie Ninja Dog.  My father got him a pup, Dasie, but the apartment we lived in did not allow dogs.  After I left that apartment to rent on my own, I took Dasie with me because that apartment allowed dogs.  My father was not able to move to a different apartment yet so it landed on me to take care of her. As time went by, she just became my doggo.  I did not want a dog because I was a coward to feel pain when they will pass after loving them for their lifetime.  But I had kept her because she is family and grew to love her deeply. 

I had thought that the Vet cost was super expensive and just realized last year that you can do at home treatments on some ailments.  I remember when she was 10, the white of her eyes swelled and we called an animal hospital to inquire and they quoted that just to see her, the price started at $500. We did not have that amount and that incident had set firmly into my mind that the vet is super expensive.  

If I had realized that the vet was not too bad of a cost in other offices, if I had realized that some ailments and upkeep can be treated at home, if I was not so entrapped in the thought that cost is so much and had a ‘poor mans’ thinking, my Dasie wouldn’t be this bad by now.  I blame myself but I also realize that it’s been done and just do what I can. My baby did make it to 14 years old.  Though, I hope for another year or two at least.  I wish for her to pass in her sleep of old age, not because of ailments.  I found this site and I am trying it out hoping that maybe there really are good people out there looking at our stories and deciding to help us.

I did not set a money goal (but maybe 10k.  If I may be so much bolder and ask for 20k?) because I want as much as people can give me to help her.  Also, because I am not sure of the vet price for some things for her (like her painful teeth and x-rays).  If I can start to make my own money with in the three months somehow, and I am able to support her, and if I actually have left-over money, I will bring the money back into the BeggingMoney site for other furry babies that needs help along with my own donations.  My appreciation to those who help others.

Hope for a New Car

Hi everyone,

I’m writing to share my story and ask for your help.

On January 15th, 2023, I was involved in a serious car accident. I was driving home from work when a drunk driver crossed the center line and hit me head-on. I was taken to the hospital with serious injuries, including a broken leg, a fractured sternum, and a concussion. I was lucky to be alive.

The car accident totaled my car. It’s been inoperable ever since. Since then, I’ve been struggling to get by without a car. I’ve been relying on friends and family for rides, but it’s not a sustainable solution.

I have a stable job, but I’m barely making ends meet. I can’t afford to pay for a new car on my own. I’ve been looking into leasing, but even that’s out of my reach.

I’m starting to feel hopeless. I don’t know how I’m going to get a new car. I need a car to get to work, to go to the grocery store, and to take care of my basic needs.

I’m asking for your help. I’m hoping to raise $40,400 to buy a new car, I know this seems illegitimate but I have a dream. This would give me back my independence and my sense of hope.

My husband, a beloved member of our family, has recently endured a series of health crises, including a stroke and a heart attack, leaving us grappling not only with the emotional toll but also with an overwhelming burden of medical bills.

As we strive to piece our lives back together amidst these trying circumstances, we are now confronted with the prospect of additional surgery for my husband. This surgery is imperative for his long-term health and well-being, but the cost of this procedure, combined with the expenses from previous hospitalizations, has placed an immense strain on our finances. Hello. My name is eric torrance johnson. Ive just turned 31 years of age. Ive recently lost my job. The love of my life is pregnant with or first child. The expected due date is October 10 2024. Ive received my last paycheck Friday March 15th 2024. Im very worried about how im going to be able to support my family.so I’ve decided to take my last paycheck and invest it into starting business with the money instead of spending it and when its all gone we have nonthing. I fear the worst but just like the love of my life she refuses to let me call it quits. Good men never give up and never stops trying to do whats right. Theres no excuses! I have not been sleeping much because of whats on my mind and on my heart. Rent Help Please

Hello our names are Johnny and Dani we are on the verge of becoming homeless. We are begging for any help you may be able to assist us with in order to come up with the funds required to move into a new apartment, deposit first and last months rent. I am a subcontractor but work has slowed and unfortunately Johnny was employed with UPS but fell ill with the 30 day virus that has been going around which turned into Pneumonia and he ended up losing his job. He is trying hard to find work but he is almost 60 and is no longer able to physically manage the trade that he spent  most of his life doing, cement finishing due to a bad injury when an 800 lb beam in a basement he was working on fell and crushed him between the wall and the beam.that said finding gainful employment has been a struggle. I know if we can just come up with the initial costs we will be able to make rent thereafter it is just a lot to come up with initially. Our goal is to come up with 2500$ but will be truly grateful for any help you might find it in your heart to give. Thank you in advance and for even taking the time to read and consider assisting us. Challenging Times…

Hi My name is Kimberly, It has been a journey this past year. My brother had a stroke in 2022, Dec 26. My journey has been literally a dose of ups, downs and twists coupled with drama from family. I started out in February leaving Loma Linda Hospital with my brother in the car… My first challenge because he was suppose to have a medical transport, my brother whos name is Rodney was paralyzed on his entire left side, both his leg and arm are currently being rehabilitated. I have quit my job of 25 years and closed my therapy practice to stay with him and make sure he gets good care. Without any knowledge of being a caretaker, I jumped in head first and I have not looked back. I coordinate his multiple therapies, doctor appointments and engage alongside his caretakers in his daily care (I do not get paid). I have fallen behind in all my personal bills, and struggle to make car payments and pay my rent. I loaned a friend a large amount of money 3 years ago and she has not paid me back. I am asking for anything to help with the financial challenge I am experiencing. Thank you in advance… I have never done anything like this before but I figured what could it hurt. I have an eviction notice, I would love to purchase the house next door.
