Help with Con Edison

Dear Friends, Family, and Kind Strangers,

I hope this message finds you well. I am reaching out today with a heavy heart, feeling vulnerable yet hopeful that someone might be able to help. As a husband and father of two wonderful children, providing for my family has always been my greatest joy and responsibility. However, the mounting pressures of rising costs, especially from Con Edison, have put us in a difficult and unsustainable position.

Like many families, we’ve been doing our best to make ends meet. My wife and I work hard to ensure that our kids are taken care of, that we keep a roof over their heads, and that we maintain a sense of stability in our home. However, it’s becoming increasingly clear that despite our best efforts, keeping our family comfortable and safe has become overwhelmingly expensive. Every month, we find ourselves struggling more and more with the basic necessities — and our electricity bill with Con Edison has skyrocketed to the point where I genuinely don’t know how we’re going to pay it.

We’ve been cutting back wherever we can. We try to keep the lights off when possible, limit the use of appliances, and make sure we’re conserving energy as much as we can, but it doesn’t seem to make a difference. The rates keep going up, and each bill seems more outrageous than the last. Frankly, I feel as though Con Edison is taking advantage of hardworking families like mine, and I’m at a loss for how to handle this burden.

At this point, we’re facing the very real threat of having our electricity shut off. This isn’t just about inconvenience — it’s about ensuring my children have a warm, comfortable home to sleep in, that they can do their homework with adequate light, and that we can continue to cook meals and provide the basics of day-to-day life.

I know times are tough for many, and it’s humbling to ask for help. But I’m turning to the kindness and generosity of others in the hope that you might be able to lend a hand during this challenging time. Any assistance, no matter how small, would go a long way in helping us cover this bill and prevent our power from being shut off. My priority is to take care of my family, and I’m doing everything I can to get through this, but right now, I simply cannot do it alone.

Thank you for taking the time to read this. Your help, even if it’s just sharing this message, would mean the world to my family and me. I promise that when we’re back on our feet, we will pay it forward in whatever way we can.

With sincere gratitude,
Zeus

Drowning in Debt and

I have a family of 4. This year my daughter and my son both had to have different kinds of surgeries. This year we also had to take out of Helic Loan to pay off some debt and now have a our original Mortgage payment plus a second loan mortgage as well. My husband works two jobs plus does some side work, and I work part time and we still can’t make ends meet. I try to give back to the community and give to non profit organizations when I can. We have been leaving off personal loans and cash advances paying off other debt. So we are using debt to pay off debt. We are trying to stay away from bankruptcy and have applied to be in a debt relief program but will take 3-4 years to pay off the debt and will just kill our credit until we can get it back up. Our debt to income ratio is high so we can’t get a debt consolidation loan to pay off this debt with a smaller APR. Just asking for a loan to help us get out of some of this so we are drowning and can start to put money in savings, emergency fund, and do not have this second mortgage on our shoulders. Get out of this medical debt and can breathe. Appreciate anything that will help. Thank you so much for taking the time to read my message.

Struggling to Pay Rent

Hello,

My name is Patrick, for my everything seems to be going wrong all at once.  I am paying an exorbitant amount of medical coverage for my child which is 1333 per month, which was put in place by the court. I am l also paying child support of 600.00 per month which I don’t have a problem with.

I was able to do overtime to be able to handle this but my overtime stopped. I also had another work-from-home job to help, but because  my overtime stopped , I could not pay my internet bill to keep that job.   So no it is even more of a struggle.

My current job has also just cut our hours from 40 to 35 and even with that we have some slow days so we may get as little as 32 hours per week.  They have also mentioned laying my job function of to save money.  The company has overhired and business is slowing down, so they need to make cuts.

To try and make sure my landlord  was paid every week I would not go to the laundromat to wash my clothes. I would wash them in the sink.  Also i would go to the pantry to get food and not to the store.

If I could get maybe 5,000 I could get caught back up with everything and maybe have a little bit of a nest egg for a rainy day.  I expect that to come soon with the upcoming layoff probably in October.

Desperate Single Mom of Two: One Paycheck Away from Homelessness – Your Kindness Can Save Us

Your kindness could be the lifeline that saves a family from despair. As a single mother of two beautiful children, ages 2yrs and 11 months, I’m facing a heart-wrenching crisis that keeps me awake at night, wondering how I’ll keep a roof over our heads and food in their little bellies. The children’s father abandoned us, leaving us emotionally shattered and financially devastated. Every day is a struggle to hold back tears and answer questions as to why we can’t turn the lights on or why we are eating noodles again for dinner.

With the cost of living skyrocketing and the debt that ive been left with to manage, despite my best efforts, we’re teetering on the edge of bankruptcy. I work full time with the same employer I’ve had for 12 years.  Your generous gift of any amount of money could be the miracle that keeps us from falling into that abyss.

The weight of this burden is crushing. I lie awake at night, listening to my children’s peaceful breathing, knowing that tomorrow I might have to choose between paying for their diapers and formula or keeping the electricity on. No parent should have to make such impossible choices. Your support would lift this unbearable weight from my shoulders and bring a glimmer of hope into our lives.

I’m desperately trying to avoid burdening my aging parents or turning to state benefits (which may not be an option because of my average pay), clinging to the last shreds of my independence and dignity. But the truth is, without help, I don’t know how much longer I can shield my children from the harsh realities of our situation. Your compassion could be the turning point that allows me to provide the stable, loving home my little ones deserve.

Will you open your heart and be the guardian angel my family so desperately needs? Your generosity today could mean the difference between despair and hope, between a family torn apart and one given a chance to thrive. Every donation, no matter the size, brings us closer to stability and allows me to see a future where my children’s laughter isn’t overshadowed by the constant fear of what tomorrow might bring.

Thank you for taking a moment to consider our plight. Your kindness has the power to change lives and restore faith in humanity. In these dark times, your compassion could be the light that guides us towards a brighter tomorrow.

Help me with my Student Fees

Hi,

Please help me pay my daughters student fees.

My daughter, Catherine, is in 1st year at Limerick University, Ireland studying a M/BSC Phamaceutical and Biotech.  She is an international student coming from South Africa and as an international student, the fees are seven (7) times more per year than that of someone who is Irish.  Her fees for the year are Euro 21,000.00 so very high.  So far I have managed to pay almost half the fees of Euro 10,000.00 and I am asking for help to pay the balance.

Catherine is a very dedicated and committed to her field of study. She has tried to obtain scholarships and bursaries to cover her fees but these are seldom awarded to someone who is in first year.  We will try again for bursaries from her second year.

If you would like to help, kindly make a donation to my PayPal account: @BrendanCreaven895

Thank you.

Rebuilding our lives after losing all our money to a very clever investment scam

Hello. My name is Steve Gould. I am 67 years of age, married (since 1978 to the same amazing lady), two incredible daughters and five grandkids. In June 2019, I sold my computer repair business which I’d run for 20 years in our local town. In January 202, I realised I should be looking to invest some (if not all) of the money I got from the sale into something that would give me a residual income to allow me to pursue our first love – organising, promoting and running live music events. All I was looking to do was to create a monthly income that would pay the bills, nothing more – not looking to have a holiday, buy an expensive car/house etc – just enough to survive. I know the stock market can be a very profitable way to create wealth, but at the time had little or no knowledge of how it works – introducing www.any1profit.com (https://www.trustpilot.com/review/any1profit.com). They offered to do the trading for us and take 7% of the profit. Obviously sceptical at first, I only put in a couple of hundred pounds, but could see the profit accumulating albeit a small amount. When I explained to the guy who was our agent, that I was looking to put in place a residual income to pay the bills, he told me we’d have to invest more (which made sense). Over the following eight months, I ended up putting £32000 in the account and could see a marked difference in the accumulated profit, but the alarm bells started ringing when I tried to withdraw….Overall, I think I managed to withdraw £2500, but to cut a long story short, they did a runner and left me with a huge debt, no money and I’d also borrowed £15K from a dear friend (on the basis I paid him back in January of the following year as he needed the money to pay his tax bill !!) which means I now have to pay him back at £300 a month until it’s paid back – needless to say it nearly destroyed a long term friendship !! Here we are in 2024, I am now on state pension, my wife is a mobile carer on not much above minimum wage and we are not coping financially. We have managed to keep up to date with bills, but have had to pass all our debt to STEPCHANGE, so we’re on a DMP (Debt Management Plan) where we have total debts of around £55k paying back at £77 a month !!!! We’ll be over 100 by the time it’s paid off… If there’s any kind soul out there who can help in ANY way, we would be forever in your debt. I can provide whatever proof you  need to validate our story. Many thanks for reading – peace and love, Steve & Lou xx

I bought a comfortable 2 bedroom house but it has a toilet outside. On really hot days I’m covered with sweat then 10 mosquito’s come along and bite you everywhere. This could be a traumatic experience. I will be very greatful receiving donations to help me renovate my bathroom so I finally can have a inside toilet. And will enjoy a walk in shower.

A Melody of Hope: Seeking Help in Difficult Times

Hello,

I am a person living with a neurodegenerative disease of unknown origin, relying on a wheelchair for mobility. Currently, I find myself in a very challenging situation with overwhelming debts totaling €50,000.

These debts have accumulated primarily due to the expenses related to the caregivers who assist me in my daily life. Their support is essential for my well-being, as they help me maintain my independence and avoid despair. I have also faced difficulties related to my investments in a business that did not yield the expected returns.

Despite my several attempts to find solutions to reduce my debts, I have been unable to make significant progress.

I have a passion for singing and often seek accessible places in nature where I can express myself and find peace. My caregivers play a vital role in helping me enjoy these moments, making it possible for me to experience the beauty of the outdoors.

I am reaching out for help because I am struggling to manage these financial burdens on my own. I need support to regain my financial stability and improve my quality of life. The funds raised will directly help me pay off my debts and ensure that I can continue to receive the care I need.

Any contribution, no matter how small, would make a tremendous difference in my life. I genuinely appreciate your kindness and support during this difficult time.

Thank you for considering my request. Here is my PayPal PayPal.me/queta35

Drowning and asking for help

Hi.. I feel a bit stupid writing this but I have found my back against a wall.

Around a year ago I found myself in a bad situation with a partner which has left me in a fair amount of debt (AU $16,000). These were debts that are in my name and I am responsible for.

The relationship ended and I have been making the payments. A month ago however I had to stop working due to medical issues. I am working through those issues and looking for suitable employment.

While I am unemployed I am unable to cover even the minimum repayments along with bills and groceries.

I have tried talking to the debt holders but if they lower the repayments it will screw me for even longer. If I can’t pay my bills I will end up on the street. I’m desperate. I have tried asking family and friends who are unfortunately unable to help, so now I turn to internet strangers. If you can help in any small way I would be so appreciative. I will also be paying it forward when I am back on my feet.

Please

Seeking assistance to purchase land

Twelve years ago, I made the life-changing decision to move to the Big Island of Hawaii to be closer to my daughter. She married a wonderful local man, and they’ve created a beautiful life, and are now blessed with two amazing children. While many people dream of owning property in Hawaii for vacation getaways or picturesque views, my motivation is deeply personal: I want to remain an integral part of my family’s life.

One of my granddaughters has type 1 diabetes, a condition that has brought many challenges and complications. As a grandparent, my role has never felt more vital. I fear the financial burden of renting could one day force me to move away just when my family needs me most. The thought of not being there for them, especially during difficult times, is unbearable.

Currently, simply paying rent has significantly drained my resources. The reality is that owning a home here is more affordable in the long run than continuing to rent. I am not seeking luxury; what I desire is modest—just a small piece of land with a simple house. Nothing extravagant, just a secure, clean, and dry space where I can feel at home and be close to my loved ones.

Having my own place would mean stability and the ability to support my family when they need it most. I envision a home where I can help with childcare, provide meals, and be a shoulder to lean on. Every moment spent together—celebrating milestones, sharing laughter, or navigating challenges—would enrich our lives.

The Big Island isn’t just a beautiful location; it’s where my heart is, intertwined with my family’s journey. Owning a home would allow me to deepen my roots in this community I love. It would offer me the peace of mind that I can always be there for my granddaughter and the rest of my family.

By securing a small piece of land, I can establish a home that fosters connection and support, making sure I am always there for them when they need me most. My social security plus my small business allows me enough to support a home, just not enough to purchase one.   With a home of my own, I can create stability and know that I can remain here to be with my family.

With gratitude, please help me pay off my medical debt. Anything helps!

Anyone who donates I will be sending thoughts of gratitude and positive affirmations your way.

This year has been a struggle with my health and needing to go on unemployment for the first time in my life and then EI ran out. It has put me behind on my bills and cost me a lot in extra medical expenses I did not plan for.

I am on slowly on the mend now but I do not see a path for me to get out of the financial mess with my current job. If you can donate even the smallest amount I would greatly appreciate it. Every little bit counts and I will be eternally grateful.

As soon as I am out of debt, I will be paying it forward and helping others out. How amazing is it that we have the ability to help each other so easily? Thanks to all the supporters out there that are continually helping strangers, it’s a beautiful thing.

A Single Mother’s Struggle: On the Brink of Eviction, Fighting for Her Family

As a single mother, I’ve always done everything in my power to provide a stable life for my child. But lately, life has thrown more challenges my way than I can manage alone. I’m two months behind on rent, and the reality of eviction is looming over us. If I can’t come up with the funds soon, we could lose our home.

To make matters worse, my hours at work were cut, and despite my best efforts, I haven’t been able to catch up on bills. I’ve started driving for Lyft and Uber, working every hour I can spare, but it’s still not enough to cover everything. Between rent, utilities, and other essentials, the debt is piling up faster than I can keep up with.

I’m turning to the kindness of others because I need to raise $6,000 to cover the back rent and bills before it’s too late. I’m terrified of what will happen if I can’t come up with the money. Asking for help is hard, but I know that without it, my child and I could be left without a place to call home.

If you’re able to contribute anything, it would make an enormous difference. Thank you for taking the time to read my story and for any support you can provide during this incredibly tough time.

Help me Start an Art Gallery

https://paypal.me/Vfr9

Venmo: @LEfriend22

Hello kind stranger!
Please help me start an art gallery. I currently live in a small room while taking care of both of my elderly parents. I do not have a space to keep my paintings. I would like to get a space to display and sell  my paintings.
Currently, it is very difficult to sell art in NYC due to a lot of rules. For example, it is illegal to just sell art on the sidewalks; you need to go to a designated selling location on a designated day and only sell on the designated spot (behind a medallion) on a first come first served basis. In addition to the lack of storage space, this location restrictions creates also a transportation problem since I do not own any mode of transportation and it’s hard to transport a lot of paintings by bus. Also, since I’m taking care of my parents, I do not have the time to stand behind a table all day trying to sell art. When I get some free time, I use it to paint.  Once I get my art gallery, I can keep my art displayed there and share the beauty and joy of art with the world.
Thank you.
