​My journey over the last few years has been one of extreme highs and lows. Not long ago, I faced the reality of homelessness after my husband left me for another woman in the midst of my deepest struggles. Despite that heartbreak and instability, I didn’t give up. I worked tirelessly to build a consistent job history, eventually meeting the requirements to secure affordable housing—a milestone that felt like the beginning of a new life.

​However, shortly after being housed while living at a homeless for 2 years plus the unthinkable happened. I was the victim of a violent home intrusion. I was injured during the incident, and the physical and emotional trauma stripped away my ability to work. In an instant, the stability I worked so hard for was at risk.

​Where I am now:

Because of my recovery time, I have fallen behind on rent and utilities for the next two months.  While I am healing and have several promising job opportunities lined up, the financial gap created by this injury has left me vulnerable during the holiday season.

Hi, my name is Abbigail, I’m 17 years old. I work a job for 13.75 at Pizza Hut and barely get 20 hours a week. I have to pay 250 in car payments monthly, and have to help my mother pay for groceries, and even sometimes, my cheaper medications. And right now, we’re really struggling. Back in 2021, I was diagnosed with severe depression, general anxiety disorder, social anxiety disorder, and since around first grade I’ve been professionally diagnosed with ADHD. Up until this year, I always had state insurance to help pay for my therapy and medications. Sadly my insurance was taken away and I’m still not sure why.

But now, my older brother, who is now in debt, is struggling as well. So our money is going to him, my mom’s and my medical bills, my therapy, and now I have to step up and help pay for things too. I have never had to do this kind of request for myself. I am a single senior and have just had multiple setbacks for the past 2 years. I had gotten ill in 2021, went backwards $20,000 and haven’t gotten out of that since. I do work, but it got to be too much. Tried the debt consolidation game in 2023, and lost even more. That truly is a scam and it costs you dearly to use one of them.  Somewhere in the next few months I will file for bankruptcy and end the stress of it all.  But leading up to today….

I turned 65 in 2023 while on unemployment from a temp job, and at that age point companies really do stop hiring you full time at a decent wage. So I struggled through 3 more temp positions, finally taking a labor job that paid more and full time hours, but naturally I suffered a shoulder and back injury so I was out of work again in 2024. As comp usually works against you, they cut me off with no notice stating ‘pre-existing’ from a injury in 1989. That was not true, at all! But that is what they do. And so it continued. I have been unemployed this year since September after a temp job with Manpower was closed early, and simply had not been called to work even after literally dozens of apps sent out.

All I would ask today is up to $3000 to get me through this rough spot, and continue my job search.                        I’m here for my brother, recently he has gone thru some life changes that hit us all of a sudden. He’s been a carpenter all his life, for the last couple years he’s been able to pay his rent and basic needs from making and selling dog houses and picnic tables, As of July 2024 he found himself short of breath and it scared him enough to go to the  hospital , When he arrived they informed us he was in heart failure and helicoptered him to Spokane’s Sacred Heart Hospital ,they sent him home with his heart functioning at 17% which is what he lives with now and  every day . He wasn’t getting any assistant from social services or any program. We have applied for social security but, unfortunately, we are still waiting. Thank God for all the churches that has stepped up to keep him afloat. We have been blessed with all the help we have received but we have now run out of resources.  We been told social security can take up to March or April ..His rent is 925.00 and utilities approx. 200..Weve never been in a position to have to ask for help, but I hope this will reach those that find it to be a good time to pay it forward or happened to be blessed enough to be the hero in someone’s life …we like to think that we have helped those in need in the past and make a promise to pay it forward in the future …god bless

I genuinely thank anyone who takes a moment to consider my request for a donation of $1,400. Two weeks ago, my home suffered serious plumbing issues, necessitating the replacement of the sewer pipeline, two toilets, and my garbage disposal system. This unfortunate incident has greatly affected the savings I had earmarked for a family event planned for December 31, 2025. First I would just like to say Thank you to everyone who has helped make a site like this possible! I pray that I am able, with your help, to get back on my feet again.

It’s been a little over a year when things really started to go downhill. I have my own cleaning business that I would love to get my LLC and get insured and bonded. That is top of my list of goals. I unfortunately lost 3 out of the 4 clients I had due to a busted ankle I got while in an abusive relationship. They did not want to wait the minimum 6 weeks for their weekly cleanings which was understandable. I was able to pick up a commercial cleaning client and the day before I was to start, last December 20th, my ex broke my 10th rib. At that point, I lost any clients I had left.

It was not a good holiday for my family. My 15 year old daughter and I spent time together, but being pretty much on bed rest over the holidays took its toll quickly.

It just continued to get worse from there. Finally in May of this year my ex was arrested and remained in jail for months. I finally was able to break it off with him for good and thought things would start getting better. Unfortunately they haven’t.

My daughter and my relationship started to also go downhill, very quickly. We started to fall behind in rent, utilities, lost 2 vehicles, and a lot of people who I was ok to ask for help, which was very hard and not very often. We also lost my mom, which was the most devastating thing I have ever went through. I still haven’t been able to bounce back from her passing.

I have applied for hundreds of jobs. With living so far from most of the places, transportation has been a huge issue. The closer places, my being a felon from 2014 has hurt me and also not having a lot of experience in areas. I have been cleaning for most of my life, it’s what I love, know and do very well. I have gotten very depressed,  I’ve lost any hope I have left, my world has fallen apart. I even took a break from college because I just can’t seem to focus on anything.

The cold winter months have hit hard, more job no call backs, no luck on any help for rent, a vehicle, help to get my license so I am legal, and my daughter hates me more and more that she sees how bad I have fallen apart.

If I don’t have at least one months rent by today, which is 1200, we will be getting kicked out. The landlord has been very patient and understanding, but he is losing money as well and so we will have to move if I can’t pay something. We will lose all of our personal belongings, we have no where to go, no vehicle to even sleep in and I will definitely lose my daughter.

If I can just get help to secure a place for us to keep staying in, enough to get a vehicle with my license back and enough to get my LLC to get insured and bonded, I know I will be able to pull myself back out and thrive again.

We don’t even have milk, butter or any meat in the house. I have yet to put up any holiday decorations, let alone have any gifts for my family.

I know it’s very last minute to ask, but I have been so scared of being hopeful and being unable to get the help I am asking for. It will be devastating and I just am scared of what will happen after. But I decided it is worth it to try and I wish I would of asked even a few days earlier, but hopefully someone out there reads this and is willing to trust me that I will not let them down if they could please help us.

We had needed a roof for a long time. About a year ago I finally got the ($25,000) down payment from a personal loan which I have been making on-time payments ever since. However, after being strung along by the roofing company for almost a year, the company ended up taking the $25,000 down payment and scamming us by not returning our down payment and not putting on a roof. Over 100 other families were also scammed by this company in the Port Saint Lucie, Florida area.  Although I have forgiven them in my heart, we are still dealing with a leaking roof that is causing structure damage and a health hazard. I am a middle-school teacher and cannot secure financing a second time until the loan that I already took for the roof that never got put on is paid off in a couple years. In the meantime, the leaking roof is causing more damage and mold problems. I cannot get a HELOC since I do not have homeowners’ insurance because the insurance company dropped us for having a roof that is too old. $45,340 will get us a new roof before hurricane season. I never imagined myself writing a letter like this, and it’s taking a lot of humility for me to reach out in this way. A month and a half ago, I was injured at work. Since then, I have been completely unable to work, and during this time I’ve used every dollar I had saved just to keep up with the bills and basic living expenses. At this point, I am completely out of money, and I am doing everything I can to keep my head up while trying to provide for my family.

I support my fiancée and her autistic son, and they depend on me for all of our bills and household expenses. I’m also a small business owner, and on top of everything else, my truck broke down unexpectedly. Without it, I have no way to get to jobs, no way to bring in income, and no way to get back on my feet. This setback has left us in an impossible situation.
