need some help to survive

Hello. I am a 50 year old single female in need of some help. I do not have anyone to turn to for help. I live in Kenner Louisiana. I keep to myself. My 2 cats are my closest friends. I tell them all the time they are my only friends. LOL

I am not sure how to even write this. Never have done this before.

Here is my problem: I have a 2014 Kia Rio. Nothing special but I love my little car. It is my means of transportation (was). My way of working so I can get by & care for myself & my cats. This past Thursday on 10/12/2023 it was stolen from the Walmart parking lot on Behrman Hwy. It was found not far away @ some apartments w/ the passenger window broke out & the steering wheel column broke. Someone called it in that had seen it left there & it was towed away.

My car is now sitting @ Central City Towing tow truck yard. As of yesterday it was a little over $400 to get it out. I have done everything I can to try & come up with enough to get it out. I have not been able to do it. Every day it is going to cost more to get out. I am so afraid I will not be able to.

I only have liability insurance coverage so that is no help. I don’t know what I’ll do without some kind of help or miracle.

In advance I want to say to anyone that may help me Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I have tears in my eyes rn just thinking of it. You are a life saver. Literally. If it weren’t for your help I don’t know how I will survive.

Lost everything from car accident

I’ve worked in hospitality for thirty-five years. I always worked in the accounting department. I would also work in other departments when needed. I worked sixteen to eighteen hour days to provide for my family. Always tried to be there for my family no matter what. I raised three children alone and I thank God neither of them ever been in jail or had a drug addition. On 31 Dec 2012, I had a heart attack that put me in the hospital for nine days. This is where my life took a turn downhill. My daughter came to the hospital and after my release, brought me to Seattle, WA. I stayed with my daughter and got on disability. I paid her $500 month for rent. I received a small inheritance and was able to purchase a car. I helped my daughter with her bills and paid for her wedding. Needless to say my money ran out through helping her and her spouse get ahead. Well they purchased a house and there wasn’t any room for me. So I now stay with my son and his wife. This is a position I never wanted to be in; depending on my kids.

On 25 Sept, I was in a car accident. I was told by the towing yard that it was totaled. I’m still waiting for the insurance company to let me know the status of my claim. I doordash for extra money. The accident happened after I dropped off my last order. The insurance company is trying to dispute that I think. They told me on Monday (9 Oct 2023) that my claim was sent to the oversight committee to be determined. He said it would take around twenty-four hours before a decision is made and they would contact me when they do. On 12 Oct, I received an email telling me that they will let me know their decision in thirty days.

I’m retired now and receive one check a month. I doordash to supplement my income. Without a car, I have no way of making any money now. I’m trying to find other work, but no one wants to hire a sixty-nine year old in fair health. I pay my son $450 a month for rent. My car payment is $600 a month; that’s basically my check. I still have to make that car payment until the insurance company’s final decision. If they decide to decline my claim, then I’d have to make this payment until the car is paid off. I’d also have pay the tow yard. Now I have a hospital bill sent to me for $8,238.00 for the night of the accident. My bank account is literally empty until next month. I’ve tried borrowing from friends and family to no avail. Everyone is struggling.
I’ve never done anything like this before. This is definitely a humbling experience. If there is a chance that anyone would help me, I’d greatly appreciate it. Whatever is given is a blessing. Thank you in advance.

With sincere gratitude
Marion Coleman

Just trying to get back on track and caught up!

My family and I would greatly appreciate any help. We have about $15,000 in debt since my husband was laid off during COVID. He was working for an engineering firm and the owner died in a plane crash and the company was sold. 75% of the employees were laid off. This was the only type of firm in our city. I work full time, and luckily, work in healthcare so my job was secure, but I am not clinical, and I do not get paid enough to cover all of our expenses. My husband kept being told he was overqualified, even for McDonald’s. We had to sell his truck and hour house to keep up and now we just can’t get caught up. I have 3 kids in high school and 1 in elementary. They are having a hard time because we are struggling to keep food in the house, pay the bills, pay the loans, and get them clothes and shoes. I am also wanting to start a home bookkeeping company, but I can’t afford the LLC to start because we are penny pinching. We have applied for food stamps, and I keep getting told that I make too much money for a family of 6. My husband has been with his company now for about 6 months, but all of our paychecks are going to loans and bills. We have been late on rent the last two months and are just needing help to get caught up. Please help we just want to get out of the hole and get back to being able to use our checks for just everyday needs, bills, and food. My PayPal is @marissagallow and my Cash App is $MarissaGallow.

Hardworking, God loving, single woman struggling to make ends meat.

I have been working in public education for the past 16 years.  I love my job, the kiddos make me happy. I am an hourly employee, so when school is out I do not get paid.  Three months a year with no income.  I have been divorced for almost six years after 26 years of marriage.  It has been a struggle to make it financially on my own.  After inflation, I had to take a second job just to survive.  I live a humble life.  I do not own credit cards, I do not spend money unnecessary money on myself.   I am 55 years old, and I own my own home,  It is small, but it is enough for me. I own $35,000 on it and then I own it free and clear.  I am getting too old to work 50 hours a week, six days a week.   I have been hit hard this past year with extra expenses.  My furnace is on its last leg, it will cost me about $7,500 to replace it.  I own my own vehicle, it is 10 years old with 110K miles.  It will last me another 5+ plus years if I replace the timing belt for $1,000.  I live paycheck to paycheck, my savings are drained, and my alimony ended in June 2023.  I asked my ex-husband, who is wealthy if he could help me out with my added expenses, and he said no.  I am not one to ask for money.  When I heard of this site on YouTube, I thought it couldn’t hurt to try.  There are other kind, generous people like me out there. Thank you for reading.  If you could find it in your heart to help me with any amount it would be greatly appreciated.  God Bless you.  https://paypal.me/CarrieA1986?country.x=US&locale.x=en_US

Drowning in the desert

You don’t know me or maybe you do?  I could be your brother, son, uncle or father.  I have worked hard my whole life to provide for my family and have had success most of my life, which I feel maybe part of my problem.  My ego would not allow for me to admit to myself that I needed help.  My family has had a rough few years but I won’t depress you with our sad stories.  I have robbed Peter to pay Paul and now the music has stopped and I find myself without a chair.  I have put my family at risk and I need a lifeboat to try to repair the damage I have caused.  We are facing multiple financial challenges.

Please help me and my children. https://www.paypal.me/Mercykapoko

https://www.paypal.me/Mercykapoko

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am Mercy, a mother who has found herself in a situation that compels me to seek your help. I am writing to you as a last resort to ensure a better life for my two precious children, Happiness and Koketso, who are currently facing harsh conditions living in a squatter camp.

Our story is not one of defeat but rather a tale of determination and unwavering hope. Life has presented us with a series of challenges that have made it impossible for me to afford a stable home. As a result, my children and I find ourselves residing in a squatter camp, where the living conditions are dire and the future uncertain.
Happiness and Koketso are exceptional young individuals who dream of becoming doctors. Their enthusiasm for education is truly inspiring, but the harsh reality of our living situation threatens their dreams. I am reaching out to you in the hopes of securing financial assistance that will not only enable their education but also provide us with a stable house to call home.

We yearn for a place where my children can grow up in a secure and nurturing environment, free from the daily struggles of the squatter camp. We long for a place where their dreams can take root and flourish.

Your support is not just about financial assistance; it’s about providing us with a chance to escape the vicious cycle of poverty and uncertainty. It’s about giving my children the opportunity to receive the education they deserve, which in turn can empower them to make a positive impact on the world.

We understand that there are numerous causes and individuals in need, but I firmly believe that investing in the future of these two resilient children is a cause worth supporting. Your contribution, regardless of its size, will have a profound impact on our lives and bring us one step closer to a brighter future.

I humbly ask that you consider our plea for financial assistance, knowing that your generosity can help us escape the harsh realities of the squatter camp and provide a stable home for Happiness, Koketso, and myself. Your kindness has the power to change our lives and restore our faith in the kindness of humanity.

Thank you for taking the time to read our story, and we sincerely hope that you will find it in your heart to help us in our time of need.

With deep gratitude,
Mercy and My Children

Hard working family of four with expecting mother and two very young children dealing with major hardships asking for any financial assistance at all to keep us afloat though the holidays.

Hello, we are a young family of four with a 4 year old little girl, and a 1 year old baby boy. My wife is expecting our 3rd child, another baby girl, in late January or early February.
When my wife and I first got together, we were both living with our parents and actually grew up a block away from each other on the same street but never talked until we were both a few years out of high school. We both grew up in poor low, income households, that dealt with many hardships throughout our childhoods. After we got together, my wife got pregnant with our 1st child and she moved into my mothers house with me. I started working when I was 16 to help my single mother out with finances and haven’t been unemployed more than maybe a couple weeks ever since. I worked mostly low income jobs until my daughter was about 1 years old, I finally got a decent paying job and started saving a little money here and there. When my wife got pregnant with our second child, my wife, daughter, and I were staying in my mother’s living room sleeping on an air mattress at night so it wasn’t the most ideal situation. I knew there was no way we could bring a second child into a situation like that so I knew we had to have our own place by the time my son was born. I ended up getting a second job on top of being full time detail manager at a car dealership. I saved up a good amount of money throughout her pregnancy and a couple months before my son was born we finally got into our own place. We applied for a ton of different places for rent but because of us having no credit history and being young we didn’t get into a lot of different places or other applicants were chose over us. We finally got into a nice townhouse that was pricy but we had to take it incase we weren’t offered another place before my son was due, so we had to take it and we really liked the house. I had a good amount of money saved and had decent income so we were confident we could live here comfortably financially. After our son was born we were doing great for a good year or 2. We had a couple good Christmas’s and birthdays and got our kids basically whatever they wanted. I wasn’t super wealthy or rich in any sense but we could take care of all our expenses, take care of our kids, and still live comfortably. We were doing good until about the beginning or middle of this year. My wife found out she was pregnant again, but about 6 to 8 weeks into her pregnancy, we found out that she had a miscarriage. Even though she wasn’t too far along, we were devastated and it was a really tough experience. My wife ended up have a few problems passing the miscarriage so she had to go to a good couple of doctors appointments to get it taken care of. I didn’t have medical insurance at either of my employments and we were denied government medical insurance because apparently my income was too high. So we had to pay a good amount of medical bills, also getting billed for the kids doctor appointments and anytime we would go to any urgent cares. Also the last year or 2, prices for basically everything have increased due to the recent economic problems so that’s been a struggle. After putting out a good amount of money around that time we definitely started feeling the struggle but we were still making ends meat. A few months later, very unexpectedly, my wife found out she was pregnant again. We’ve been very nervous and worried throughout this pregnancy because of her miscarriage a few months before that and have been hoping and praying for the best because of how much devastating losing the last baby was. She is actually a lot farther along with this baby then she was when we lost the last one and so far every ultrasound we’ve had, the baby seems very healthy and we recently found out we’re having a baby girl.
We’ve just been praying it goes as planned for the rest of her term. Although we were very happy and excited so far with this pregnancy, we were receiving more medical bills and our utilitiy bills were increasing in price and we started getting more and more behind on bills and expenses. We then had some more bad luck and had some parts go bad on our car and had to replace them and receive the maintenance on it. We only have one vehicle and are a very busy family so even though we were struggling, we really had no choice but to pay for the repairs. Around July this year, we started to get very behind on our bills to where I was getting cutoff notices for my water and electric and I’ve just been paying enough on it every month just so neither get turned off. Next month in August, I decided to pay on the utilities so they wouldn’t get shut off and be late on our rent. Our landlord usually didn’t mind if we were a couple days late on the rent as long as we payed it in the next couple days but i ended up not having the whole amount until after the 10th or so. So before I had the full amount, our landlord sent me an eviction notice. He told me if I could make the payment in the next 3 days, he would revoke the eviction. I was extremely worried because of my wife recently having a miscarriage and if we would have gotten evicted, that would have been a lot of stress on her and that’s the last thing that I wanted. We decided to try and get government assistance for the rent payment the next day. We were denied for assistance because even though we were behind they couldn’t give us any help due to me having too high of an income. The last thing I wanted to do is ask someone to borrow money but i would’ve done just about anything to make sure my family got to stay in our home so I asked some friends and family members to borrow the remaining couple hundred dollars but none of them could afford it. After this I tried applying for a few loans, which I was denied for every one of them due to lack of credit history. I ended up doordashing at nights after I got off work and luckily made enough to put the payment through.
After all of that we’ve never caught up and have been barley staying afloat. This month we signed a new lease for our home. When we moved in the rent started at 1450 per month but the rent was raised with the new lease to 1600 per month which just adds to our struggle. We’re closer to cutoff dates on my utilities more than ever, we’re very close to the holidays, and both of my kids birthdays are right before Christmas so we’re probably in the worst shape financially than ever. I’ve been working both jobs from morning to night almost every day of the week and most nights I’ll leave work and DoorDash for a few hours and most of the day on weekends. It’s very stressful to work 24/7, and barley have time to spend with your family just to scrape by and still be very behind. I’ve thought about a billion different options but we can’t really afford to move at the moment and with my wife expecting again, we really can’t move into a smaller home than what we’re currently in.

That brings me to why I’m here.. I really don’t like asking for help but when it comes to supporting my family I’ll do whatever I have to do to make sure they are taken care of. If anyone at all has any extra funds to donate, it would help us out incredibly and anyone who donates would be helping out a very honest hardworking family that’s in dire struggles. If anyone decides they would like to help us out and donate any funds at all it would mean everything to my family and would help us greatly! The username to my Cashapp and PayPal will be at the bottom of my request if anyone. Thank you so so much to whoever takes the time to read my article and god bless!

My fiancé deserves more than what life has given her.

I have never been the type to ask for help, even when I was little when I was injured I would run the opposite direction of my parents arms, but there come a time in your life where you don’t know what else to do.

I have been a caregiver for the elderly for over 10 years with fibromyalgia that makes me feel as though I’m fighting for my life through the pain every day of my life for about 15 years. It’s become harder and hard for me to work and provide for my wife to be.

My fiancé is also in healthcare and has recently had Covid which cause her to have a blood cloth in her lung. I’m so scared that she is going to work herself until she can’t anymore and I feel helpless as my job is also very limited hours.

I know this is a shot in the dark for anyone out there to see this but we need anything we can get to get back on our feet and do what we love again, helping others.

thank you for taking the time to listen. Much love.

My Wife was injured in a car accident

To Whom it Concern,

I want to thank whoever takes the time to read this and help my family.

My wife was in a car accident and has been out of work for a while, and I am on disability for having bad lungs. The car accident wasn’t my wife’s fault. Someone came out of nowhere and hit her, totaling our car and injuring her. I have been trying to help as much as possible, working for Amazon Flex delivery, getting us to buy with my disability checks, and working for Amazon Flex with hours so as not to lose my disability in the process. Our son also has autism, so between taking her and him to appointments, work hasn’t been fun. She was our primary provider, and we pray that people will find it in their hearts to help us. I have never asked for any help before on something like this. We are about to lose everything: our home, car, power, food, and our sanity. I don’t know what to do or who to turn to. I have no family here, and we need help. I have pawned everything we own, including my wife’s wedding ring, which meant a lot to her. so I have tried everything before turning here for help. If you need more information, feel free to ask. We are open books, and again, thank you for everything. I don’t know what category to ask for in this. We need at least $1,900 to get us caught up. Please help us.

Buy and adapt a new van for people with reduced mobility

Dear friends,

I hope this letter finds you well and full of positive energy. I want to share with you an important part of my life and that of my partner, and I kindly ask for your support in facing the challenges we are currently going through.

Since birth, I have lived with Cerebral Palsy, a condition that has limited my mobility and quality of life in various ways. Despite the obstacles I have faced, I am fortunate to be able to communicate effectively and actively participate in society. However, my mobility has been compromised, and at 46 years old, my physical situation has become more challenging.

Currently, I rely on an electric wheelchair to get around, as my muscles do not allow me to walk without difficulty, and I tire easily. Until now, my partner has been a fundamental pillar in my life, helping me with many daily tasks and facilitating my mobility. However, two years ago, she suffered a stroke that left consequences on her mobility, further limiting our possibilities of leading a full and active life.

Our situation has led us to an urgent need: the acquisition of a larger and more adapted vehicle, such as a Volkswagen Multivan, that allows us to move around with greater comfort and accessibility. Not only is this vehicle expensive, but it will also require adaptations to accommodate my power wheelchair and allow me to transfer from it to the driver’s seat via an adapted platform.

It is for this reason that I turn to you for help. Any financial contribution you can provide will be invaluable to us.

This support will allow us to:

  • Acquire the necessary vehicle to improve our mobility.
  • Make the adaptations required to make the vehicle accessible.
  • Recover part of our independence and quality of life.

In gratitude for your generosity, we offer the possibility of including signs on the new vehicle, with the intention of raising awareness of this project and also helping other people in similar situations. Additionally, I will be happy to show off my special wheelchair and provide information on how to lead a more accessible and dignified life to everyone who supports us.

Our need is urgent, and any contribution, large or small, will bring us one step closer to our goal. If you would like to be part of this mission to improve our mobility and quality of life, we would be infinitely grateful.

On behalf of my partner and I, we thank you for taking the time to read this letter and consider our application. Together, we can make a more accessible and dignified life possible.

With gratitude and hope,

Inigo

Just a hardworking individual needing some temporary financial assistance!!

Hello…. a bit uncomfortable writing this as I never have asked for handouts in my entire life…I have raised three kids as a single mom and have had my fair share of struggles,  but managed to get by.  I have always always always WORKED….since I have been 16 years old…(I am now 58!) I have been in sales and customer service for 35 years and have always had a job.  Well, I just got let go from by my most recent employer (worked remotely for a well established moving company) and things seemed to be going very well!  I was making a lot of sales for them, and I never received any negative feedback at all??  So you can imagine my shock and disappointment when all of a sudden out of nowhere my boss calls and says…”we have to let you go – we are entering the “slow season” and just can’t afford to keep you on anymore”….what??  I was so shocked.  In any event, I live alone, basically had been living paycheck to paycheck…no husband or partner to help share the bills with me.  I am panicked beyond belief.  I WANT TO WORK….and I know I will find another job….I just need some help with my life expenses…rent…gas and electric…FOOD!  Just until I find another job.  This is so hard for me to do.  Anything at all will help…not looking for thousands…just something to help me get by until I find something else.  I was an independent contractor so do not qualify for unemployment benefits…I have already tried.  Thank you so much for reading my story….and any help you can provide would be SO appreciated!!!  You have no idea…

Teacher left high and dry, please help if you can.

https://www.paypal.me/333jojo444

Hello there! I’m not even sure if anyone is even reading this, but if you are I thank you for your time.

I have found myself in a terrible financial situation and I’m on the brink of homelessness. I only have 15 more days to come up with $4,531. I got a 2nd job as a bartender (teaching full time, though it’s my calling, just isn’t cutting it)  but it won’t be enough in time. I have been praying about this and pastor told to me to put it in God’s hands now.

A little backstory for you: I am blessed to be the mother of my 16 year old daughter, she really is the best kid anymore could ever ask for. My husband just left us for his high school sweetheart and just served me with divorce papers. I am completely heartbroken, I love this man and committed my life to him. I welcomed him into my daughter’s and my life with open arms. To say it hurts would be an understatement. My daughter is completely devastated. One day her stepdad is loving her “like his own” and now he wants nothing to do with her. Her real daddy went to be with Jesus so now she feels like she’s lost 2 dads. Here’s the kicker though, he says we have to vacate the family home by the 1st. I don’t have the money for a lawyer to help protect us, which whatever on that, I’m giving that to God because I know he will protect us. My concern is that I don’t have enough money for 1st and last months rent plus security deposit. We have no where to go. I have zero family here, my husband is all we had.

My daughter is in her junior year of high school, she finally made the cheer team, she’s got a wonderful group of friends and she loves her school. I cannot take that from her, she’s lost enough already. If we have to go to a shelter, she’ll be forced to switch schools because they’re all in different school districts. She will be heartbroken. She is on a good track headed for college, I am terrified of knocking her off that path.

There is an apartment complex across the street from her school, which would be ideal for her for school and cheer practice. I work 7 days a week so she walks just about everywhere these days. They have a one bedroom apartment for $2,100 per month (I’ll sleep on the floor, a 2nd bedroom is a luxury I just don’t need to have right now) I need to pay 1st and last months rent ($4,200) plus the security deposit ($1,500) on the day we move in. $5,700, in addition to my other monthly bills, is so much money to gather in only 30 days time. I have 15 days left and I am praying for a miracle.

I tried to get a loan on Friday but I was denied because I have NO credit since everything is in my husband’s name. I can’t even use my own car as collateral to get a secured loan because it is also in his name. This just feels so hopeless. I never thought I would end up in this situation. I work so hard yet find myself with so little. I love teaching so much, it is definitely my calling, I just wish it paid more. Learning to be a bartender has started to become a lucrative side hustle for me and I’m so thankful for the opportunity to make the extra money. If I had more time I could definitely come up with the money. Unfortunately for me I only have 15 days left. After paying my car insurance, electric, water, trash, my half of the mortgage, food, cheer fees, etc for the month, I was able to come up with $1,369 to put toward our moving costs.

I am in desperate need of $4,531. If there is anyone out there reading this, and is able to help, please help me. I promise I’m not some lazy bum looking for handouts. I have been a teacher devoted to her students for the past 14 school years. You can’t help someone that isn’t willing to help themselves. That’s not the case here, please help me help myself. I would love to earn the money, so if you have some work for me I would be thrilled to complete it. I am willing to do anything (minus illegal stuff) to keep a roof over our heads. Please, anything helps, especially prayers for strength, healing and comfort… I think we need that the most. God bless you and I thank you for your time.
