Falsely Misled by Mortgage Company

I’m a 66 yr old woman who has worked my whole life since I was 16 yrs old. I’m a hard worker but fell prey to a predatory mortgage and money has never been my forte. I don’t want to lose my house but missed a couple of payments because I stopped working in October and want to start a business. They put me on a payment plan that is $900 more per month.

I have been so stressed for so many years that I didn’t realize that I barely made a dent in the mortgage until I missed a couple of payments. I asked them why I was still paying them and they told me that only 10% of what I have been paying every month since 2008 went to the principal. I have other debt and once I get out of debt I will address the mortgage but I don’t want to rock the boat and lose my house.

Please Help Me Raise Money to start my own small delivery/transport business

Hello everybody

I’m asking for money because I need a little help.

I’m trying to raise $22,000 to start a small transport/delivery service in the town where I’m staying. It’s not a very big town, but we have quite a big rural community. I am working as a salesman at an irrigation shop. Our shop doesn’t offer delivery, and almost every day I get asked if we can deliver, and then I must tell them no. Sometimes they don’t buy what they were looking for because of how they will get it from town to their house. So, the idea came to me to start a delivery service.

The idea is to provide a delivery service to customers buying from me and our shop, and then, in general, people buying from shops in town who need material or equipment to be delivered to their houses.

The $22,000 will be used to buy a one-ton delivery vehicle to start the whole delivery/transport business.

I work hard, and my salary is not much, but buying a vehicle from scratch requires money up front, and I don’t have it.

A Mother’s Fight for Home

My name is Ashlee , and I never imagined I would be here  asking for help. I have spent my entire life being the strong one, the one who figures it out, the one who holds everything together. But right now, I am holding on by a thread, and I need someone to please help me find solid ground again. A few months ago, my life changed in ways I never expected. After a painful divorce, I found myself suddenly alone not just emotionally, but financially. Everything I had built, everything I had planned for, was gone almost overnight. No safety net. No backup plan. Just me, my daughter, and the overwhelming weight of starting over from nothing. She is my whole world. When she looks at me, I refuse to let her see defeat in my eyes. So every single morning, I get up, I get dressed, and I go to work a full-time job that I am grateful for, but one that barely covers the basics. After bills, groceries, and necessities for my daughter, there is almost nothing left. And right now, nothing is exactly what I have.

We do not have a place to call home. Right now, my daughter and I are staying with friends kind, generous people who have opened their doors to us. But I know this cannot last forever. A child needs stability. She needs her own space, a place where she can do her homework, sleep peacefully, and feel safe. Every night I tuck her in, I silently promise her that I am working to give her that a real home, even a small one. Just ours.

To make things harder, my car my lifeline is barely running. It is how I get to work every day. Without it, I lose my job. Without my job, I lose everything else. The repairs I need are not a luxury. They are the difference between surviving and sinking completely.
I am not asking for a handout. I am asking for a hand up. I am a hard-working mother who has simply been knocked down by circumstances beyond my control. Divorce is devastating in ways people do not always see it does not just break a family apart, it breaks apart the financial foundation you spent years building. Every single dollar contributed means more than you know. It means a deposit on a safe apartment for my daughter and me. It means a repaired car so I can keep showing up to work. It means groceries without counting every cent. It means one less night of lying awake wondering how we are going to make it. I am not giving up. I wake up every day and fight for my daughter because she deserves a mother who never stops. But even warriors get tired. Even the strongest mothers need someone in their corner. A disabled artist needs your help

An almost-in-his -sixties artist/designer/illustrator and a military veteran with two disabilities needs your help.

I’ll be brief. A successful freelance art/graphic design career suddenly came to a screeching halt due to the current world situation, resulting in almost 75% income loss. My job opportunities have been severely limited for a number of years due to a couple of disabilities (a spasmodic dysphonia, which affects speech and a chronic hip injury, which impairs mobility).

Scammed, hurt but still pushing strong

I am a 9 year US Army Veteran. I recently as of September  2025. I Exited the Army (honorable discharge). Just very recently, my life was decent. My God blessed me with a kind heart, I had never more then 5,000 dollars to my name but I was always happy and giving to those who needed it. I would always tell those people “I give to give, don’t pay me back. Maybe buy me a coffee or lunch when you can”. I would help my soldiers or close friends and family. I never thought what I’m about to explain would happen to me. I wanted to make abit more money so I could buy a home for me, my cousin and her son. She’s the only family I have that cares, and in a bad relationship with some guy in California she needs to get out of. I met a girl who knew a way to make money through crypto. She had convinced me that is was a successful platform she uses. She came down to see me, talk to me, spend time to see me too. She swayed me to put money I did not have in this platform. At first is was great, I pulled a couple hundred out every week. Life was getting abit better, my VA loan got approved for the house I wanted and my cousin and her son could finally have a safe home, while I work and she gets on her feet and finds a job and takes care of her son. I dont want her to pay rent. Maybe a utility or something. She’s drowning in debt. One day I made 1000 dollars. But the account got locked due to a “package task”. I had to put in a certain amount of money to unlock the funds and get what I earned as well. I got a 12,000 dollar loan. And submitted it. The funds got unlocked..then another task came in and another and another increasing my account so much to the point where i had over 140,000 dollars in the account.. It this point I had taken out loans up to 72,000 and could not do it anymore. My account got locked and all of my funds disappeared. All of my money was gone. It was a scam. The girl vanished, I was left in shambles. I have so much debt now. I’m worried the lender will deny me because of this debt. Closing is on the 17th of June. I work off-shore 12 hours and 30 minutes a day. No breaks, no days off until we are ready to come off our work boat. I cling to my bible and pray to got every night. “As long as I have Jesus I am okay”, I tell myself. Drowning in shock, pain and pure awe that this would happen to me. I only have love for others. I dont understand how someone could do such a thing. So here I am, I found this site, I have no family to turn to, friends Ive helped abandoned my need, my close family doesn’t care. Soul Dog Needs Urgent Cancer Treatment

I am in a very desperate place. I am single with no children, except for my sweet dog Elvis. He recently got diagnosed with an inoperable cancerous liver mass. He has good prognosis with radiation treatment, which may even allow for curative surgery later on. I believe in Jesus, I believe in miracles, but I can’t help but feel completely defeated.

Radiation therapy is $5,000. I’ve managed to fundraise some, so we can call it about $4,500. I’m already in a significant amount of debt, and barely scraping by. I have chronic illnesses, and work 2 jobs. I had a Care Credit account for vet bills that got cancelled, because of late payment. Now I can’t afford any payments at all and have no clue what I’m going to do. I’m blessed to live at home, with a very understanding father. He does not have much either, and I haven’t been able to contribute anything towards the mortgage for months.

I find it hard to believe anyone will even see this, especially anyone with the means to help. Prayers are wildly appreciated. I am just at an extreme low, and don’t see any way out other than a complete miracle. He needs treatment within about the next 2 weeks based on his current condition.

Dental emergency led to excessive debt

Please help me start over

My story just for the last 6 years has been hard. 6 yrs ago on my birthday I found out my dad had cancer, he passed away 5 months later, 6 months after that at Christmas we received a no cause eviction so the landlord could bring the unit up to market value. We found an apartment, it was ok until 2023, in that year one of my license plates had been stolen. This was in August, had to replace my plates, September 3rd I was attacked, pistol whipped and shot at by a group of teens. The people associated with the attack lived in the building across from us and were involved in gang activity. The management wouldn’t do anything unless I gave permission to give my information to the other tenants as a witness. November, 2023 still, a homeless person broke into our unit in the middle of the night. Again police involved, the management  wouldn’t even change our locks. January 2024, my uncle died on my birthday. He left a 12 yr old son behind. His son has been in state custody since. We finally have all background and security checks done and are in the process of getting this boy. This year though on my birthday again, I lost my job with no clear reason why. My savings is gone and I want to move to a better area to be mom again. This boy is on the spectrum and is also diagnosed with dd. Car was stolen, then impounded.

I don’t even know what to do anymore. Our family’s only car was taken without my permission and abandoned in the middle of an intersection, and because of that it was impounded. Now the fees have added up to almost $1,900, and I have no way to get it out on my own.

This car is how we get to work, get groceries, handle appointments, and take care of everyday life. Without it, everything feels impossible right now. I’m trying my best to fix a situation I didn’t create, but the cost is more than I can manage.

Life Shattered Forever

Hi, I am a disabled stay-at-home mom who takes care of my 22-year-old son, who is autistic. Our rock, my husband, was recently diagnosed with Stage IV Small Intestine Metastatic Cancer. After not feeling well for a couple of years and being diagnosed with Chronic COPD, we went to several Doctors for different problems that kept recurring. Nothing was ever found to be wrong, even though several tests had been done. After 2 years of going to different specialists and missing a lot of work, we had to go to the ER one night because he was in a lot of pain, having difficulty breathing, and couldn’t eat without vomiting. Once we were there, they ran several tests, X-rays, bloodwork, and finally a CT scan. When the Doctor came back in, he told us they were transferring us to a different hospital because they had found several lesions in his lungs, liver, and spleen. There was also an obstruction in his lower intestines. That’s when everything started to crash around us. We didn’t know exactly what was going on, but we knew what it was leading to. We never could have imagined it would be so bad.

Once he was admitted to the hospital, they did biopsies and other tests. The main problem they were concerned with was the obstruction in his small intestines. They were waiting for test results before doing surgery. We were in the hospital for a week before all the results came back. At that time, surgery was decided against because the obstruction in his small intestines was a tumor. The other lesions in his liver, lungs, and spleen were all cancerous. The tumor in his intestines was metastatic and had gone to his liver and into his bloodstream. By being in his bloodstream, the cancer spread to his lungs and spleen. It is inoperable because it’s in his bloodstream, meaning it will just spread to other places in his body. He is now receiving chemo to try to shrink the cancer cells and slow down the progression.

We are seeking help for medical bills, alternative treatments, and everyday bills. My husband has worked for the state for 30 years and is not quite eligible for full retirement. Because of the nature of the job, he can’t go back to work either because of the chemo. We don’t know how much longer he has, but we are hoping that by finding an alternative treatment, it can prolong his life for many years to come. We have been together for 25 years and have 4 wonderful children and 3 grandchildren. He is my world, my everything, my love, and my life. Any help is deeply appreciated.

Trying to get back on track

never imagined I would be in a position where I’d have to ask for help, but right now I’m facing one of the hardest times in my life financially. Between rent, bills, daily expenses, and trying to keep everything together, I’ve fallen behind and I’m struggling more than I can handle alone.

Divorcing and alone

Hi! I am a 30 year old, soon to be single, female. For the past 6 years I have been married to an abusive man. At first I didn’t realize the acts of manipulation and lies and completely believed him that I was the problem. He even completely isolated me from the very few family members I have left (distant cousins my parents are both deceased). Then a couple of years ago he became physical. It started with shoving or grabbing me and quickly escalated to black eyes and busted lips. Emergency Funds

Hi.

I am requesting funds because I have gotten a little overzealous with my credit. I have a steady monthly income but currently have no wiggle room for emergencies.
