Being a single mother especially in today’s era can be extremely overwhelming. If you are one of those mothers who is doing it alone every day you know what I am talking about. It seems like the bills just continue to pile up and never end.

Researchers have said that just in 2015 year ending alone over 80 percent of the households in America that we’re single households we’re in fact ran by a FEMALE head of household which we’re mostly living very poor.

Many people may say well there is government assistance for them to get a grant but it’s hard to find and information regarding that said topic anywhere. So in hopes to help the single mothers out in the world this article will give you some insight on the different assistance topics we can cover including where and how to get a grant or scholarship. Also, you will read and see how simple it is to receive help with income expenses and medical insurance.

Are there really grants for a single mother?

Of course they do but these grants are not only for single mothers. However, that doesn’t mean there isn’t help for a mother to receive one. I know its mind boggling that the government hasn’t had any means created for money for a single mother that is actually in the shape of a grant. One thing the government does for a single mother is they assist them through a group or have set sponsors through a company, and sometimes they are covered by the actual income assistance completely.

Below are a few websites that will redirect you to free items that you can get just for registering on the website.

Low Income Assistance for Single Mothers / Government Grants

As I said there is not an official grant for a single mother available that is FEDERAL. However a single mother can go through federal programs and register and sign up for them. Those kinds of programs are usually for households with low income. Which means you would also qualify for Welfare. No matter what the case these are programs to help those who make below the limit and live poorly.

Below are different types of assistance based in the United States.

TANF – TEMPORARY ASSISTANCE FOR NEEDY FAMILIES

TANF is a crucial for many low income families located within the US.

With TANF you receive a small amount of cash every month that you can use toward your food, rent, and other necessities. However you only receive TANF for up to 60 month limit.

If you are a single mother and you have children in your home who are less than 19 years old you are eligible for TANF.

SNAP – SUPPLEMENTAL NUTRITION ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

Food-stamps or SNAP as other people may refer to is financial help for meals. You can receive money every month to place food on the table if you are on low or no income.

For most of Americans living in poverty SNAP is potentially the only assistance they can get.

Research has shown that in 2015 SNAP benefits have helped at least 45 million Americans. Most of the ones who receive the stamps are under are up to the age of 18.

When you go to use your benefits for SNAP you have your own personal debit card to ring your groceries up with at the register. If you are interested in trying to get on with SNAP benefits all you have to do is fill and application out and send it in or take it into a local office that deals with SNAP benefits.

NSLP – NATIONAL SCHOOL LUNCH PROGRAM

This is a program that gives free (or discounted) food to students whose parent’s income is bellow a poverty level. The income needs to be at least between 130-185 percent bellow the poverty line.

Most the time if a person is a receiver of SNAP benefits their children will be accepted into this program for free lunches. But, that doesn’t mean if you don’t have or receive SNAP that your children are disqualified.

You need to contact your child’s school to apply.

TEFAP – THE EMERGENCY FOOD ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

Food for the American families who are in the poverty range not matter what the age.

If you have received food stamps before or any other program assisting you and helping you such as the ones in this article you could also be approved for this program.

You will need to contact your State distribution agency to learn more about the Emergency food assistance program.

Local Food Banks

A food bank doesn’t exactly fit into the whole “Grant” program area as it is actually a location in your town where you can get food if you are in need.

Do not allow you or your family to go without food. If you ever reach that trouble you can call 211 and ask them where the nearest food bank is based on your location.

More then 200 food banks exist with the feeding america foundation and they supply enough food to feed over 40 million people.

WIC – WOMEN, INFANTS AND CHILDREN PROGRAM

This program includes a package deal where you as a mother are able to receive healthy foods, whether you are pregnant or a new mother, and also to children who are 5 or under.

WIC is a program that is temporary and only used for a short amount of time – usually between 6 to 12 months.

EARLY HEAD START / HEAD START

These programs are for children up to 5 years old.

You can receive free child’s medical and dental care along with their schooling, and dietary needs.

Find your closes headstart office on their website or call at 1-866-763-6481.

Insurance for unemployment

This is a special program which will pay you weekly if you are unemployed and it had nothing to do with you for you being fired or let go. You will only be able to receive this benefit for maximum 26 weeks. Different states have different benefit rules. But most states will average out at about 45% of whatever the average weekly income is.

Single mothers who are out of a job temporarily can find solace with these benefits and can help make the burden less for themselves because this pay will restore what you have lost from losing your work.

If you want to try and get this started and opened for you, you will have to find your local unemployment office or apply on the website for this specific program. Most states will allow you to also try to sign up for this over the phone.

Section 8 housing

Section 8 is basically a program that helps a family be able to pay for their housing. If approved you will receive a voucher of up to 70 percent of your bills (utilities and rent). You are expected to pay the other 30 percent.

If you want to apply and feel you qualify you can get in touch with your local office involved with public housing, the HUD office.

CCAP – CHILD CARE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

This is a benefit for families who can’t afford to place their children in daycare while working.

You still have to pay a certain percentage but it isn’t a big lump of money. The less you earn, the less you need to contribute.

EITC – Earned Income Tax Credit

It is a tax benefit for people with low income. You could potentially get as much as $6,000.

If you normally have a tax rate of $1050 but you are allowed $5550 then you get refund of $4500.

There is a Children’s Tax Credit too for as much as $1,000 for EACH child.

LIHEAP – LOW INCOME HOME ENERGY ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

LIHEAP is a program that is a one time help to help pay for heating / cooling expenses.

Most of the time this is for the disabled or families with children or disabled person in the home.

If you need any extra information regarding this topic you can get in touch through the number 1-866-674-6327 or a local number for your local LIHEAP office.

WAP – WEATHERIZATION ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

Weatherization assistance program lowers energy bills for families in need. Usually the elderly and families involving children are accepted and put to the top of the list before all.

Your monthly income need to be below 200 percent poverty level.

To apply, find a local WAP center.

Medicaid

Medicaid is help with medical expenses. If you do not have health insurance this gives you certain benefits as long as your income restriction meets the level it should.

A lot of single mothers may meet the standards to be recipients of Medicaid even if you are unemployed.

Every state has different rules about Medicaid plans. You can find out exact requirements on this website.

Together with ObamaCare it ensures that even single mothers who didn’t receive any health benefits will now be able to have coverage.

CHIP – CHILDREN HEALTH INSURANCE

CHIP gives children without health insurance a chance to have health benefits all the way up until they are nineteen. It is for families whose income is too high to receive Medicaid benefits.

It provides every type of benefit you can think of — dental, eye exams, and even annual doctor’s exams.

Every state has its own rules. If you would like to learn a little more about this specific benefit you can call 1-877 Kids now (1-877-543-7669)

Federal Pell Grants

Aid program for students of up to $5,815 for those in need to be able to set foot into college.

This is the best opportunity for a mother who is single to finally be able to finish her schooling and finally continue in the workforce. The money is completely free of charge with no interest rates or paybacks ever.

You need to fill out an application and submit it for a pell grant and have it turned in on or before June 30th of every year.

Federal Supplemental Education Opportunity Grant

Similar to the Pell Grant. If you already have had pell grants and you are at the top of the charts in need you will be first on the list to receive this. Depending on a persons needs that are wrapped in with their financial struggle will ultimately decide who will receive anywhere between $100 too $4,000 annually.

Charities

Charities can be a way to seek help for you and your children whether you are in need of food or clothing or even housing. A lot of charities around the world actually have their own food banks that they run and they will give you bags of free food.

If you go to salvation army a lot of the times they will let you sleep there if you have no where else to go especially if it is a result of violence.

Churches

Most churches will offer you food and clothes or maybe even a place to stay if you have been recently kicked out by the one you are living with.

To find information on this you should look through your phone books local listing or yellow page. You can also research online and see what churches are available to your area and call them and ask what services they do offer.

Loans

Single moms can receive loans usually relatively quickly but I would not recommended that at all. You could potentially go into debt and not be able to rise back from that.

Sometimes you have no choice because you have to fix your broken car or maybe pay for utilities and food and need the help right then. But you have to be able to pay that loan realistically quick.

Pay attention to your credit because if you try to get a loan through a bank or anyone they will check your credit score and see if it is even available to be able to place a loan out to you. If it is a loan that is for payday loans or credit card advances they will not run a check but you will end up paying more after fees and costs.

Line of Credit

If your credit is decent some people ask a bank for a loan personally. Most of the time this is a better idea then asking for a payday loan because if you need quick money with lower rates of interest this is it.

Personal Loans

On a personal loan interest is lower dramatically but you have to pay in instalments. It doesn’t really fit criteria for an emergency. Normally if you just tell them you do not have any more funds and that is why you need this they will turn you away. If your credit is poor you will not be able to even touch this offer.

Short term (payday) loans

This is a very popular type of loan. You may know it by the term “Cash advance.” The interest runs really high on these and it is a loan that is only for a small time frame.

This is a loan that would more then likely be considered if a problem arises and you needed to repair your car or had a disastrous dental emergency. You have to know for sure you will be able to give every penny back.

If you do not pay this type of loan back you could be in loads of trouble financially.

Credit card cash advance

Do you own a credit card? If so you will be able to get money from a bank as easy as 1, 2, 3. This is not a method that is highly praised though because as soon as you start taking money out of the bank the interest keeps rising and you also are charged for using and pulling out of the bank a fee. This is potentially the easier options if you do need cash asap but you have to pay it back and make sure you absolutely can.

When it is all said and done grants will not solve your money issues within your home if that is what you expect. To get a grant is definitely not easy it isn’t a walk in the park by any means.

If you are looking to get a more stable source of financially being stable you should probably look in areas around you or find a women shelter until you can get back up on your feet.

If you think you have all the time in the world you can apply for other areas of assistance such as Food stamps, HUD, and etc. They do take a lot of time and effort for someone to get back with you and let you know if you have been accepted and enrolled. Try finding a part time working job as a way to financially start becoming stable again.

The moral of this is you can not expect a grant to fall into your hands without effort and take all your worries away. They are only here too do one thing and that doesn’t usually fix anything with your financial setting.

This is all on you and what you decide, no one else can decide for you.

Single mom needs financial help while off work so I can have knee replacement surgery

It started out with my right knee hurting, took several months for the insurance to continue all the test. specialist showed me on my MRI where I have a avascular necrosis around the bones on my knee. That is where the bones are dead due to the lack of blood supply and my bones were starting to crumble.

The doctor said I was too young to have a knee replacement so we tried different things.  I have severe, swelling and pain every day at work. I work in Nutrition at the hospital and I’m on my feet 8 hrs a day. I finally got on restrictions and it made it easier but as time went on the pain got worse. My doctor then requested another MRI to see if anything had changed. Unfortunately it has and it’s to where I have no choice but to get a knee replacement so I can walk.

I finally got brave enough to leave and abusive relationship. My 23 year old daughter, and my 2yr  old granddaughter live with me. And basically, my income is what takes care of all of our necessities.

I do believe I will be off work for for six weeks, 12 at the most. I asked the doctor if it was something I could wait till after November when I’ve been at my job a year. He said I could wait as long as I can deal with the pain. After November, I can get FMLA and short-term disability. the short term disability is only half of what I make monthly . I won’t have enough money for bills. Then I forgot Christmas is coming . I’ve been buying what I can trying to get it out of the way. My goal was to try to make it until January. The last couple days I can feel things changing and it’s getting harder and harder to walk , stopping every hr to ice it while at work. So basically I know I need surgery right away but I won’t have money to take care of all of us while I’m off so I’m kind of out of options. I wasn’t sure what else to do.
I have medical insurance so it will help with the surgery. Any help with even the littlest amount would help me more than you could ever know!!  I bring home approximately $2400 per month. My rent is $825. That there takes a chunk out . I think I’d get paid $1200 a month to live while off. I don’t care about myself, just need to take care of my girls.
Thank you for listening and God bless you!!

Fighting to Secure a Future for My Children

In the quiet corners of life, where struggles echo louder than triumphs, I find myself, a single mother of two, navigating the turbulent waters of financial hardship. My story is not just about me; it’s about the relentless pursuit of a better life for my children, and the unwavering hope that keeps us afloat.

Imagine a life where every day is a battle, not against people, but against circumstances. I am in the throes of this battle, juggling bills and rent like precarious glass orbs, waiting for the inevitable crash. My dream of starting a new business is a flickering candle in the dark, a glimmer of hope amidst overwhelming darkness. I have the passion, and the drive, but lack the crucial ingredient – financial stability.

A year ago, my lifeline, my car, succumbed to age and wear, leaving me stranded. Every day since has been a marathon of public transport and endless walks, my determination my only fuel. The letters that mock my mailbox are reminders of my helplessness. Final notices for electricity and water bills flutter in, like vultures, threatening to snatch away the little comfort we have left.

Picture a kitchen with barren cupboards and a fridge that echoes emptiness. Hunger gnaws not just at our stomachs but at our spirits too. I scrape together whatever coins I can find, hoping to fill my children’s plates with more than just dreams. It’s a heart-wrenching feeling to see their eyes, once vibrant with innocence, now clouded with worry.

In the face of this adversity, I am not asking for charity, but for a lifeline, a chance to breathe, to dream, and to provide a better tomorrow for my children. Your generosity could be the key that unlocks our potential. With your support, I can bridge the gap between survival and success, ensuring that my business not only takes off but soars.

I invite you to step into my worn-out shoes, to feel the weight of my responsibilities, and to see the world through my eyes. Your donation, no matter how small, is not just money; it’s a vote of confidence, a beacon of hope that illuminates our path out of this darkness.

Together, we can turn the page on this chapter of struggle. Your kindness can rewrite our story, transforming despair into determination and hardship into hope. As you extend your hand, you’re not just offering financial aid; you’re offering a chance at a brighter, more secure future for my children and me.

Thank you for considering our plight, for seeing the strength in vulnerability, and for being the hero we so desperately need.

Single mom of two trying to move to safer home

Hi my name is Bri. I’m a single mom of two young girls. Julie is 7 and Jemma is about to turn 6 soon.

We live in subsidized apartments that constantly have the sheriff department here (not because of me). I’ve seen people get arrested for domestic abuse, dogs fighting, neighbors fighting (which I’ve recorded and sent to the front office and they did nothing). One neighbor threw a chair from the second floor balcony to hit another person. Then one person threw a glass liqueur bottle down and it shattered all over the sidewalk. Then there’s loud music at all times of day and night. The plethora of complaints never end. But the worst part is a 7 year old boy drowned in the pond this past summer.

I don’t feel safe there. And I’ve contacted Habitat for Humanity but they don’t have anything for me and my situation right now unfortunately.

I want better for my girls. We drive an hour away so I can take them to a better school in the nicer area.
and I work about 30-45 minutes from our apartment. I work 6 days a week most weeks. I love my job though and I am blessed to have what I have and I’m on my fourth year there. I work with pregnant women, babies and families. I also work with the pregnancy crisis center to help mentor women to choose life for their baby and give them resources and support.

Daily drive time is about 2.5 hours.

I found a safer, nicer apartment that is only 2 miles from my work and it also has another grade A school for the girls.

I went through my financials and proposed this to my boss. He said if I can get into the apartment and figure it out then he will grant me the extra monies difference for the rent. It’ll be life changing! Instead of driving 2.5 hours a day it’ll get cut down to 30 minutes. And it’s safer. Which is most important.

The only thing is I will need $5,000 to move. The deposit is $2,275. And then first months rent is $2,275. And the other monies is for the moving truck.
Even in subsidized housing, it’s not that much cheaper than where I’m trying to move. But it’s the world difference!

I’ve already cut a lot of unnecessary spending off and sold some things but I’ll never have the money to move soon without help. I don’t feel safe where we currently are and I would be in humble tears if someone could help us.

Thank you for taking the time to read this far. My girls have seen the other apartment complex and ask me about it every other hour. They want to move very much.
Again, thank you.

I made a post earlier but forgot to put my paypal. Please and thank you!

Urgent Assistance Needed for Single Mom of 3 Facing 72-Hour Eviction Due to Property Sale

  • Once upon a time in the heart of the countryside, there lived a spirited single mom named Lily. For the past four years, she had poured her heart and soul into renovating a charming old house that she had been renting. With the help of materials salvaged from her grandparents’ old farm, she had transformed the worn-out walls into a cozy haven for her and her three children.Little did Lily know that her dreams of owning this house would be shattered by an unexpected turn of events. One sunny morning, as she sipped her sweet tea on the porch, a letter arrived. It was a 72-hour notice to vacate the premises, as the property had been sold. Shocked and bewildered, Lily’s sarcastic nature kicked in, and she couldn’t help but let out a giggle at the irony of it all.

With her giggly determination, Lily knew she had to act swiftly. She reached out to her close-knit community, the epitome of country charm, for help in relocating. Word spread like wildfire, and soon neighbors, friends, and even strangers rallied around her. They offered their trucks, their time, and their genuine support.

Together, they formed a moving brigade, with Lily leading the charge. The southern sun beat down on them as they loaded furniture, boxes, and memories onto the trucks. Lily’s children, wide-eyed and curious, giggled as they watched their mama’s strength and resilience in action.

As they drove through the winding country roads to their new destination, Lily couldn’t help but reflect on the journey she had taken. The old house had been more than just a structure; it had become a symbol of her determination and love for her family. While leaving it behind was bittersweet, she knew that home was wherever her children were, and that was all that truly mattered.

With a mix of sarcasm and gratitude, Lily whispered a heartfelt thank you to the universe for the unexpected support she had received. She knew that her country roots had taught her to never give up, to find joy in the simplest of moments, and to always keep moving forward.

And so, with a renewed spirit and a giggle in her heart, Lily and her three children embraced their new beginning, ready to create new memories in a place they could call their own.

  • Lily is not my name but I am a single mom three and currently brokenhearted due to the shocking of having to move after I finished the renovation on the house thought I was buying I’ve never asked for help before. Hope I never have to again, but at this point, I don’t see any other option? I’m from a small town there is no assistance no shelters and I have no family left. Any help is truly a blessing. Thanks in advance.

Single mom needing help with groceries and bills

Hi there! I’m a single mom of two teenage boys. I’m self employed and have my kids full time. My business has been hit hard with the way our economy is going right now. Their dad hasn’t been paying child support for 4 months now. I’m in the middle of taking him to court for that btw. So I’m hurting pretty badly with managing financially and groceries. I need to get by until February and I’m short. I can’t get another job at the moment because I take care of my disabled child, whom cannot stay alone by himself nor do I have family to help with him. Anything would be appreciated! The boys and I thank you from the bottom of our hearts!!! God bless!!! ♥️

Need $2k Rent + expenses 2023 has been a dumpster fire

I am a college-educated, responsible, and honest mother of 3. But life has taken some pretty drastic turns for me this year. My husband of over 20 years drained our bank accounts and left us without a word. We lost everything. So I moved in with my mother, who, soon after, was diagnosed with cancer and died within a month of diagnosis. I had to scramble, this summer, to find a home for my children and I.

By the grace of God, I was able to find a decent place to live with my children. I had hustled and had a little help from friends to get into a rental. I am so grateful for that, at least, as it was a HUGE obstacle. I had enough to pay for rent and bills up until this point. And now for November rent, it is coming down to the wire. I am also at risk of losing my car (inherited on a lien from my mother).

Although I have lost my marriage, my mother, my home, and all my possessions, I am still hopeful that things will work out for me on some level. I am a graphic designer and run a small Etsy shop. I pick up freelance writing gigs and am also involved in Data Modeling for AI Projects. All of this pays my basic bills EXCEPT for $2000 in rent this month. I must work online because I have lost 90% of my hearing and can no longer work in person with people in a normal way.

Wow, typing all of this out makes it sound very dire. 2023 has been horrible. But in many ways, I have been very blessed. Things could be so much worse. Each day I hustle online to make sure basic bills and food are covered. But the rent is a BIG chunk of my expenses. The main project that I relied on was shut down recently. So this took a big cut from my income.

I guess I am requesting as much as anyone can donate. I am determined to maintain my car and pay for all my expenses somehow. I know things always work out, somehow. I am hopeful that my circumstance may touch your heart to give. I believe that what goes around comes around and if you find it in your heart to bless my family, financially, I pray that goodness and abundance follow you through your life as well.

Thank you for your attention.

I need money to help my mom with rent, possibly new hosue?

I am a F(17) and I’m turning 18 in December super excited about just what the future holds for me. My mom has always been a single mother and well I have always been her right hand. My mom is 47 and since I’m growing and starting to mature we have finally started to build a friendship. I love my mom so much, as a first born here in America I have been gifted to many things in life, but not without my mother sacrifice. I’ve been working since my mom was able to get me a car its been 3 years now and I’m starting to make enough money where I can also provide some aid to my mom, even though we live in a government housing the rent is still very expensive, we have had no choice but to either pay rent and go to food banks or get groceries and  other amenities but apply to financial aid every month. I work part time as I’m still in school. It’s starting to get very stressful trying to be my mom helping hand, be a student, and also a athlete. I’m burnt out and I want to be able to go to bed and not constantly think about weather I put in enough hours at wok for this paycheck, I have 5k left on my car apart from issuance but its nothing I cant handle. I still have to scrap up enough to help my mom with the rent and her debt, my mom has been pulling nights and days at work, she works at panda and she also a house cleaner. My situation is complicated to much going on but only so much I can type about, Please anything will honestly help at this point. I’m trying I am I promise I’m not just asking for money and I know that can be hard to trust through a screen but in a world like this one it would be nice to trust that someone could help so I’m putting my struggles out there in hopes of luck. Thank you for your time

I am asking for help because I am out of options. I am a single mama of two with no help or family in the area. I am 4 days away from my vehicle being repossessed because I have fallen so behind on everything. I was in an accident two months ago where I was tboned on the right side of my vehicle. I have been driving around with my doors macgyvered shut because it’s the only transportation I have since the insurance wouldn’t pay to fix it, and I can’t afford to hire an attorney to sue the other party. If I lose my vehicle, I lose my jobs, I can’t support my children, and I am scared to death. I don’t ever ask for help, but I am truly desperate. I am asking for $5000 to catch up on the payments and fix the vehicle so it is safe again. Thank you!

Single Mom with 2 toddlers

Hello, I am a single mom with 2 babies ages 3 and 2. I had gone through a tough time in the beginning of last year and lost my babies dad from Kidney Disease and life had been so hard for me from that point on. I had took a break from taking classes in college and had 2 semesters left till I graduate and get my bachelors degree since I was taking classes to become a teacher. I am unable to find a job because I don’t have a trusting person to watch my babies and I need a job to support my babies and I to pay for the bills, groceries and our needs. I just also want gift my babies from time to time to keep them happy. I am still healing but at times I just be going through it. I’m just struggling with everything right now. I don’t know where to start. I want to get us a car and it doesn’t have to be new.. as long as it can run good then I’m happy with it. Sometimes we go to the stores and my babies see something they want but I just can’t afford it and I feel so sad for them cause I just want them to be happy. Their birthdays and the holidays are not the same without their dad. I be trying my best to do all that I can on their birthdays to make it memorable for them by surrounding them with people that love them and doing fun little family activities and games like how we would normally do. I keep the same birthday traditions going even though we are missing their boss man. Christmas is coming up and I have started to search for ways I can come up with some money to help me get all of us a couple of nice cool gifts. Here I am finding out about this website hoping that there are people out there reading my story who are nice enough to help a mama out. This is also very new to me cause this is my first time desperately crying out for help. At this point I have hit rock bottom and any help would help me at this time but anything for my babies. I am typing this at 2am as they are sleeping soundly.
Anything will help this mama out and me and babies appreciate it very much! my CashApp is $TyrieMaheani
Much loves :)

Your donations will improve lives

In The Name of God Most Gracious Most Merciful.

Dear generous heart.

I write to you today with a heavy heart, seeking your assistance and support. As a single mother, life has always been a challenge, but the recent pandemic has dealt me a devastating blow. I lost my social enterprise restaurant, the place where I poured my heart and soul, due to the impact of Covid-19. Now, I find myself struggling to get back on my feet and provide for my young child and all the single mothers who have been employees at the restaurant as part of my mission to thrive as social enterprise for single mothers like myself.

Being a single mother is no easy task. It requires strength, resilience, and a strong support system. Unfortunately, circumstances have left me without a safety net, and I find myself in a challenging situation. The loss of my restaurant not only meant losing my source of income but also the means to provide not only for my child’s needs and dreams but for the single mother’s children needs as well.

However, I refuse to let despair consume me. I am determined to rebuild my life and give my child and the children under the care of my employess the life they deserves. That’s why I have come up with a plan to relaunch my social enterprise business in a cloud kitchen. This will allow me to continue doing what I love – cooking delicious home-cooked meals, providing employment for single mums like myself.

The Cloud kitchen core business will be providing free meals for low income families in the communities especially single mothers alike. This will give us the opportunities to serve healthy and delicious food for the children and the families to enjoy also impacting the lives of the communities who needs support.

But here’s where I need your assistance. Starting a business requires capital, and at the moment, I don’t have the financial means to make it happen. That’s why I’m reaching out to you, kind-hearted individuals who may be able to offer assistance or support. Your contribution, no matter how big or small, will make a world of difference in getting us back on my feet.

To make it easier for you to contribute, I have set up this funding page where you can donate towards my cause. Your donations will go towards relaunching our social enterprice cloud kitchen, providing safe supportive working environment for single mums and providing for our children everyday needs and their future also impacting the lives of the communities who needs the support.

I understand that times are tough for everyone right now, and asking for assistance is not something I take lightly. But if you find it in your heart to lend a hand, you will not only be giving us a chance at rebuilding our lives but also offering hope and inspiration to other struggling single parents out there too.

I am eternally grateful for any support you can offer – whether it’s a donation, sharing my story with others, or simply sending positive thoughts our way. I am hopeful that even in the face of adversity, there is always hope.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Warmly,

Shakila Sham

Anything Will Help

Hello, my name is Linda and I’m a single mom of a 19- and 11-year-olds. Twelve years ago I made a big transition and moved to another state with my then-seven-year-old and pregnant with my youngest child. I moved because they put me on bed rest and I was extremely stressed out and was at risk of a miscarriage. It was difficult being in a new state with no family, but I made good use of my time at home and started to take my prerequisites toward my degree. During that time finances were rough, but I kept my faith and knew my children and I would be ok.

Fast forward to now, my oldest attends one of the country’s top universities, so you know it is pretty costly. She’s in her second year and will continue until she can become a defense attorney. I’m really proud of her and will do anything I can so she can live her dream.

My youngest is in his first year in middle school and when he was 5 or 6 I noticed he was having difficulties with reading and had him evaluated for Dyslexia. Unfortunately he was diagnosed with it and it has been a struggle. Anyone that knows about this learning diability knows that depending on the severity it’s really difficult for these little ones to learn how to read, but by the grace of GOD someone was placed in life and just so happens her best friend is a reading teacher and tutors students with Dyslexia. She was a blessing sent because IEP and myself just wasn’t enough for him. Since he started tutoring we have seen some improvements, but he has a long way to go until he reaches his grade level . Im asking for help due to my oldest tuition that’s not covered by aide, tutoring being $630 every three months, and food being soo expensive

I am extremely grateful for any amount that can be donated.

Donations excepted at:
