Being a single mother especially in today’s era can be extremely overwhelming. If you are one of those mothers who is doing it alone every day you know what I am talking about. It seems like the bills just continue to pile up and never end.

Researchers have said that just in 2015 year ending alone over 80 percent of the households in America that we’re single households we’re in fact ran by a FEMALE head of household which we’re mostly living very poor.

Many people may say well there is government assistance for them to get a grant but it’s hard to find and information regarding that said topic anywhere. So in hopes to help the single mothers out in the world this article will give you some insight on the different assistance topics we can cover including where and how to get a grant or scholarship. Also, you will read and see how simple it is to receive help with income expenses and medical insurance.

Are there really grants for a single mother?

Of course they do but these grants are not only for single mothers. However, that doesn’t mean there isn’t help for a mother to receive one. I know its mind boggling that the government hasn’t had any means created for money for a single mother that is actually in the shape of a grant. One thing the government does for a single mother is they assist them through a group or have set sponsors through a company, and sometimes they are covered by the actual income assistance completely.

Below are a few websites that will redirect you to free items that you can get just for registering on the website.

Low Income Assistance for Single Mothers / Government Grants

As I said there is not an official grant for a single mother available that is FEDERAL. However a single mother can go through federal programs and register and sign up for them. Those kinds of programs are usually for households with low income. Which means you would also qualify for Welfare. No matter what the case these are programs to help those who make below the limit and live poorly.

Below are different types of assistance based in the United States.

TANF – TEMPORARY ASSISTANCE FOR NEEDY FAMILIES

TANF is a crucial for many low income families located within the US.

With TANF you receive a small amount of cash every month that you can use toward your food, rent, and other necessities. However you only receive TANF for up to 60 month limit.

If you are a single mother and you have children in your home who are less than 19 years old you are eligible for TANF.

SNAP – SUPPLEMENTAL NUTRITION ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

Food-stamps or SNAP as other people may refer to is financial help for meals. You can receive money every month to place food on the table if you are on low or no income.

For most of Americans living in poverty SNAP is potentially the only assistance they can get.

Research has shown that in 2015 SNAP benefits have helped at least 45 million Americans. Most of the ones who receive the stamps are under are up to the age of 18.

When you go to use your benefits for SNAP you have your own personal debit card to ring your groceries up with at the register. If you are interested in trying to get on with SNAP benefits all you have to do is fill and application out and send it in or take it into a local office that deals with SNAP benefits.

NSLP – NATIONAL SCHOOL LUNCH PROGRAM

This is a program that gives free (or discounted) food to students whose parent’s income is bellow a poverty level. The income needs to be at least between 130-185 percent bellow the poverty line.

Most the time if a person is a receiver of SNAP benefits their children will be accepted into this program for free lunches. But, that doesn’t mean if you don’t have or receive SNAP that your children are disqualified.

You need to contact your child’s school to apply.

TEFAP – THE EMERGENCY FOOD ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

Food for the American families who are in the poverty range not matter what the age.

If you have received food stamps before or any other program assisting you and helping you such as the ones in this article you could also be approved for this program.

You will need to contact your State distribution agency to learn more about the Emergency food assistance program.

Local Food Banks

A food bank doesn’t exactly fit into the whole “Grant” program area as it is actually a location in your town where you can get food if you are in need.

Do not allow you or your family to go without food. If you ever reach that trouble you can call 211 and ask them where the nearest food bank is based on your location.

More then 200 food banks exist with the feeding america foundation and they supply enough food to feed over 40 million people.

WIC – WOMEN, INFANTS AND CHILDREN PROGRAM

This program includes a package deal where you as a mother are able to receive healthy foods, whether you are pregnant or a new mother, and also to children who are 5 or under.

WIC is a program that is temporary and only used for a short amount of time – usually between 6 to 12 months.

EARLY HEAD START / HEAD START

These programs are for children up to 5 years old.

You can receive free child’s medical and dental care along with their schooling, and dietary needs.

Find your closes headstart office on their website or call at 1-866-763-6481.

Insurance for unemployment

This is a special program which will pay you weekly if you are unemployed and it had nothing to do with you for you being fired or let go. You will only be able to receive this benefit for maximum 26 weeks. Different states have different benefit rules. But most states will average out at about 45% of whatever the average weekly income is.

Single mothers who are out of a job temporarily can find solace with these benefits and can help make the burden less for themselves because this pay will restore what you have lost from losing your work.

If you want to try and get this started and opened for you, you will have to find your local unemployment office or apply on the website for this specific program. Most states will allow you to also try to sign up for this over the phone.

Section 8 housing

Section 8 is basically a program that helps a family be able to pay for their housing. If approved you will receive a voucher of up to 70 percent of your bills (utilities and rent). You are expected to pay the other 30 percent.

If you want to apply and feel you qualify you can get in touch with your local office involved with public housing, the HUD office.

CCAP – CHILD CARE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

This is a benefit for families who can’t afford to place their children in daycare while working.

You still have to pay a certain percentage but it isn’t a big lump of money. The less you earn, the less you need to contribute.

EITC – Earned Income Tax Credit

It is a tax benefit for people with low income. You could potentially get as much as $6,000.

If you normally have a tax rate of $1050 but you are allowed $5550 then you get refund of $4500.

There is a Children’s Tax Credit too for as much as $1,000 for EACH child.

LIHEAP – LOW INCOME HOME ENERGY ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

LIHEAP is a program that is a one time help to help pay for heating / cooling expenses.

Most of the time this is for the disabled or families with children or disabled person in the home.

If you need any extra information regarding this topic you can get in touch through the number 1-866-674-6327 or a local number for your local LIHEAP office.

WAP – WEATHERIZATION ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

Weatherization assistance program lowers energy bills for families in need. Usually the elderly and families involving children are accepted and put to the top of the list before all.

Your monthly income need to be below 200 percent poverty level.

To apply, find a local WAP center.

Medicaid

Medicaid is help with medical expenses. If you do not have health insurance this gives you certain benefits as long as your income restriction meets the level it should.

A lot of single mothers may meet the standards to be recipients of Medicaid even if you are unemployed.

Every state has different rules about Medicaid plans. You can find out exact requirements on this website.

Together with ObamaCare it ensures that even single mothers who didn’t receive any health benefits will now be able to have coverage.

CHIP – CHILDREN HEALTH INSURANCE

CHIP gives children without health insurance a chance to have health benefits all the way up until they are nineteen. It is for families whose income is too high to receive Medicaid benefits.

It provides every type of benefit you can think of — dental, eye exams, and even annual doctor’s exams.

Every state has its own rules. If you would like to learn a little more about this specific benefit you can call 1-877 Kids now (1-877-543-7669)

Federal Pell Grants

Aid program for students of up to $5,815 for those in need to be able to set foot into college.

This is the best opportunity for a mother who is single to finally be able to finish her schooling and finally continue in the workforce. The money is completely free of charge with no interest rates or paybacks ever.

You need to fill out an application and submit it for a pell grant and have it turned in on or before June 30th of every year.

Federal Supplemental Education Opportunity Grant

Similar to the Pell Grant. If you already have had pell grants and you are at the top of the charts in need you will be first on the list to receive this. Depending on a persons needs that are wrapped in with their financial struggle will ultimately decide who will receive anywhere between $100 too $4,000 annually.

Charities

Charities can be a way to seek help for you and your children whether you are in need of food or clothing or even housing. A lot of charities around the world actually have their own food banks that they run and they will give you bags of free food.

If you go to salvation army a lot of the times they will let you sleep there if you have no where else to go especially if it is a result of violence.

Churches

Most churches will offer you food and clothes or maybe even a place to stay if you have been recently kicked out by the one you are living with.

To find information on this you should look through your phone books local listing or yellow page. You can also research online and see what churches are available to your area and call them and ask what services they do offer.

Loans

Single moms can receive loans usually relatively quickly but I would not recommended that at all. You could potentially go into debt and not be able to rise back from that.

Sometimes you have no choice because you have to fix your broken car or maybe pay for utilities and food and need the help right then. But you have to be able to pay that loan realistically quick.

Pay attention to your credit because if you try to get a loan through a bank or anyone they will check your credit score and see if it is even available to be able to place a loan out to you. If it is a loan that is for payday loans or credit card advances they will not run a check but you will end up paying more after fees and costs.

Line of Credit

If your credit is decent some people ask a bank for a loan personally. Most of the time this is a better idea then asking for a payday loan because if you need quick money with lower rates of interest this is it.

Personal Loans

On a personal loan interest is lower dramatically but you have to pay in instalments. It doesn’t really fit criteria for an emergency. Normally if you just tell them you do not have any more funds and that is why you need this they will turn you away. If your credit is poor you will not be able to even touch this offer.

Short term (payday) loans

This is a very popular type of loan. You may know it by the term “Cash advance.” The interest runs really high on these and it is a loan that is only for a small time frame.

This is a loan that would more then likely be considered if a problem arises and you needed to repair your car or had a disastrous dental emergency. You have to know for sure you will be able to give every penny back.

If you do not pay this type of loan back you could be in loads of trouble financially.

Credit card cash advance

Do you own a credit card? If so you will be able to get money from a bank as easy as 1, 2, 3. This is not a method that is highly praised though because as soon as you start taking money out of the bank the interest keeps rising and you also are charged for using and pulling out of the bank a fee. This is potentially the easier options if you do need cash asap but you have to pay it back and make sure you absolutely can.

When it is all said and done grants will not solve your money issues within your home if that is what you expect. To get a grant is definitely not easy it isn’t a walk in the park by any means.

If you are looking to get a more stable source of financially being stable you should probably look in areas around you or find a women shelter until you can get back up on your feet.

If you think you have all the time in the world you can apply for other areas of assistance such as Food stamps, HUD, and etc. They do take a lot of time and effort for someone to get back with you and let you know if you have been accepted and enrolled. Try finding a part time working job as a way to financially start becoming stable again.

The moral of this is you can not expect a grant to fall into your hands without effort and take all your worries away. They are only here too do one thing and that doesn’t usually fix anything with your financial setting.

This is all on you and what you decide, no one else can decide for you.

Seeking help to get my family back on track

Hello,

I am reaching out today with a heavy heart, as I find myself in a difficult position and urgently needing help. Due to a recent work shortage at my job, I have been out of work for the past two weeks, which has severely impacted my finances.

As a single mother, maintaining my responsibilities at home and work is my top priority, but I have fallen behind on my car note and insurance. My car is not just a mode of transportation; it is essential for getting to work and taking my child to daycare. Without it, I risk jeopardizing my job and my child’s care, which is something I desperately want to avoid.

I have been trying to make ends meet by doing food and package deliveries whenever I can, but unfortunately, luck has not been on my side, and the income has not been enough to cover my bills. I am genuinely trying to keep it all together until I receive my tax refund, but the situation has become increasingly overwhelming.

I am reaching out to kindly ask for assistance. If you could help me with $3,000, it would allow me to catch up on my car note and insurance, giving me the chance to stabilize my finances. I understand that this is a significant request, and I would be incredibly grateful for any help you can provide.

Thank you for taking the time to read my letter and for your understanding during this challenging time. Your support means the world to me and my family, and I hope to repay your kindness in the future.

With heartfelt gratitude,

You can send contributions via my PayPal at (https://www.paypal.me/Zlinamom23).

Single Mom needs help for son´s expenses

Hello everyone,

I’m a single mother raising my vibrant and energetic 3.5-year-old son. Our journey together has been challenging, but each day I strive to provide him with a loving and stable environment. His father, an Air Force veteran, has unfortunately chosen not to participate in providing the necessary support, such as child support or citizenship facilitation for our son, leaving us in a difficult situation. Without his citizenship we can not go to the US as my residency needs to be renewed as well.

Currently, we are stranded in Mexico, facing hardships as I endeavor to meet my son’s needs without the financial and legal support we were promised. Additionally, my son requires a medical procedure for a stomach hernia, which adds to our urgent needs.

I’m seeking your generous support to secure basic necessities like rent, food, and day care for my son. This assistance will enable me to work and create a more secure future for him. Every contribution makes a significant difference in our lives, and we are deeply grateful for your kindness and compassion.

Thank you for taking the time to read our story and for any help you can provide.

Every little helps a lot, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Adrian and Pam

Funds needed for car purchase – mother of two

Hello,

I lost my father in November. Unfortunately, his term life insurance expired at age 80, he was 84 when he passed. My family had to help cover funeral expenses. I’m now in need of a reliable vehicle and need money to help with the purchase. I would like to have about $5000 to pay cash for something or use it as a down payment on a vehicle. Any assistance that you are able to provide would be very helpful. Right now school is out for the holidays but school will reopen Jan 6th and my kids are involved in a number of school and church activities that I need to get them to, so I’m trying to purchase a vehicle asap. Thank you

Save Andi’s Homestead and Rescue Animals

Hi my name is Andi and I bought my homestead a year and a half ago. I never in a million years thought I would be able to make this life happen for myself it’s a dream come true. I was able to rescue 2 beautiful horses-in my cover photo from Kill pens- and rehabilitated them to health. I have also rescued 2 donkeys as well. I have 5 goats and about 40 chickens. I’ve been so blessed to be here in this beautiful part of Texas. However, in the past six months my finances have taken a horrible turn. My income has been cut in half as the economy has hit my sales at work and I am down $40k. I have also been sued and have to pay out $25k for a car accident that happened when I switched carriers and had a 1-day lapse in coverage. My car insurance rates went up to $1000/mo, Groceries can’t get out under $200, utilities $400 for electric- you get the idea. I know I am no different than anyone else except that I am a single mom with full custody and no financial support from their dad. When I bought my property I had great credit but now that all these things keep piling on I’ve had to stop paying my revolving stuff in order to keep my electric/water on. All of my bills are required to be direct deposit and I get paid and I will be negative within days.  . The reason I started a GoFundMe is because now I am in jeopardy of losing my farm. With my credit below 600 I am unable to get approved to refinance my land which is on a 2 year balloon note-from owner financing due Feb 1st. I need to pay off the note that is $71,000 or I will lose it. I absolutely hate asking anyone for help and this is extremely hard for me to do but I am running out of options. I pray daily that God will make a way so that I don’t lose everything that I’ve worked so hard for and that this beautiful life that I’ve created for myself and my kids doesn’t get flushed down the drain. If you could find it in your heart to help me out I would forever be grateful and so would my animals.

Christmas Miracle

Hello!

I’m not really sure how to go about this, so I may be all over the place. I’ll try to keep it straight to the point.

The amount I’m asking for is $600,000. Now I know that’s a lot but it’s for several reasons. I had to have a used engine put in my car and that really set me back pretty bad. The stroke didn’t help either.

The first reason is to buy the home from one of my clients. The money for the home will go to his church. He’s now in a nursing home, but it states in his will that the church gets the house when he dies. We of course don’t know when that will happen, so his POA talked to the church, and they don’t want the house and would just sell it for the money. So, his POA talked to me and gave me an amount of $95,000.

Now, I would be buying it “as is”. The house was my client’s parents’ house. So, it needs updating throughout the whole house. I’m not sure how much that’s going to cost, but I’m guessing around $60,000.

The house isn’t fancy. Just a small 3-bedroom house.  There’s a bedroom on the main floor which is perfect for me. I had a stroke Nov. 11th, 2023. I can’t sleep flat, so I’ve been sleeping on the couch with a wedge. I’m also terrified now to sleep upstairs. So, having a bedroom on the main floor would help me out a lot.

For the rest, I’m just going to put the amount and a brief reason, or this could turn into a novel.

$80,000 – To my ex-brother-in-law Steve. For quite a number of years he’s been helping me out and I have never been able to pay any of it back. He even took out a $5,000 loan to help pay for the engine of my car.

$6,000 – adjustable bed for the reason stated above.

$7,000 – Credit card I had to max out and a small loan for the engine.

$9,000 – To buy my youngest daughter’s car from her dad. He’s a long story in                        itself. Basically, he threw a hissy fit about an issue with our daughter                        and came over and trailered her car, turned off her phone and threw                          out all of her stuff in her bedroom. Just another reason why he’s an ex.

$45,000 – To finish paying off my school loans.

$9,500 – Finish paying off my car loan.

$5,000 – Misc bills, tires for both cars and money I owe to several people.

$20,000 – To go towards my business. I don’t have the means to really advertise.                      Right now, it’s by word of mouth. I would also like to get stock in to                          help my clients right away. I’m a manicurist and massage therapist. I                        specialize in foot care. Especially people with problem toenails.  I also                      need to update my footbath. It’s chipping and peeling away. It has                              that fake wood look. I’d like to get the fiberglass one. Much easier to                          clean and sanitize.

I would like to take my 3 kids to Disney. We all need a good vacation. I have no idea how much that would cost.

The rest will get put into a savings or some CDs in case something would come up with the house, cars or business. I don’t know how to do the investing thing so I feel this would be the best for me.

I’m 51 years old. I’ll be 52 in Jan. I really could use a fresh start. This would take a lot of stress off of me, so I don’t have another stroke or have a heart attack. I just need someone to believe in me. I know I would have a much better life (mental and health wise) with a clean slate. I don’t want to keep worrying where I’m going to get money to put gas in the car or food when there’s nothing left on the food card.

I was raised by my grandma (my mom’s mom). My mom left when I was 3 years old. Haven’t seen her since and I have no idea who my dad is. Growing up wasn’t easy. Got teased a lot because of not having parents. My grandma had me tell people that they died in a car accident. My closest friends know the truth and so do my kids. I have 4 but 3 living. My oldest is 31 (son), 2nd passed at birth. He would have been 20 this year. Then I have 2 daughters, 19 and 17. I also have 2 dogs and a cat.

Sorry, went off track a little my kids and animals.

I also grew up in low-income apartments. (And I’m back in the place for the 3rd time in my life.) My grandma got food stamps, badger care and AFDC. To this day I’m still on state aid. I hate it and want to get off of it for good. It’s very embarrassing. The way things are, I just can’t get off of it. I’ve even worked 2 jobs to make ends meet and still can’t get enough income coming in. Since the stroke, I only have my business to bring in some income and I just started doing it again back in April. So, I’m really hurting for some help.

Being able to start over and start 2025 with a fresh start would really mean a lot. I asked God for a miracle. 1 min later I got a text about the house. I really believe this is my miracle! The text was the start of it. The rest is up to me to ask for help. So here I am asking for help.

I would really like the money to be delivered to me personally. Get a long tight hug and a kiss on the forehead and telling me everything is going to be ok. But I know that can’t happen. So much has happened in my life, that hug and kiss on the forehead would mean a lot to me and also needed.

Survivor Fighting Through Life’s Hardships for Her Kids

If I were to tell you everything my mom has survived starting in her childhood, it would take up your entire day. Instead, I’ll tell you how challenging the past few years have been and how she has only gotten through it through God’s grace and granting her strength through her faith that has not been broken.

2020 brought multiple challenges for everyone worldwide, but it was a distressing time for my mom, who had to be a pillar of strength.

On May 1st, she received a call that he uncle Carlos, who was like a brother to her, dropped dead. She called her uncle Henry to tell him his little brother passed, and he told her she had to keep it together and do what she had to do. With no one able to go with her, as I was working from home and needed to take care of my nonverbal autistic brother, she drove to the community housing center where her uncle lived and confirmed with the police that he was her uncle; she also had to clean his room. We learned that he passed from a blood clot due to diabetes that developed in his leg and traveled to his heart. The hardest part was telling my grandma that her youngest brother passed away. She lived in an independent living center attached to Rush University Medical Center, which was closed to visitors due to the pandemic. My mom called the woman running the center and was permitted to meet with my grandmother. They sat at opposite ends of a long table in the event room. My grandma was excited to see my mom since it had been so long; she said, “Oh, what a treat!” Once my mom informed her that her little brother passed away, my grandma broke down in tears. The hardest part of that moment for my mom was the inability to hug or comfort her mother due to strict social distancing policies. We had my uncle Carlos cremated and waited until we saved enough money to bury him in September next to my uncle Alex (mom’s older brother), who passed away in 2013.

On September 3rd, just days before we were supposed to bury my Uncle Carlos, my mom received a call that her little brother was found dead on August 31st (which happened to be her birthday). It seemed she was grieving alone, as my grandma appeared more upset about losing her brother than her son. Fortunately, estranged family members on my grandpa’s side who felt remorse for never putting effort into connecting with my mom and uncle began to pitch in to have my uncle cremated and buy a plot to bury him later in the same week we buried my uncle Carlos. Despite the two-year age gap between my mom and her brother, the two were like twins, supporting each other through the trauma they experienced growing up, almost having the same thoughts as adults. My mom felt so broken after losing her little brother, and today, the sorrow remains as she moves on with life. I still remember hearing her cry the moment she found out and the occasional nights she cried rather than sleep. To help cope with the loss, I spoke with a friend who owns a gym and got a discount on a personal trainer for my mom. My mom made me proud as she improved her mental and emotional strength enough to join classes when her trainer left to pursue a different career. Her determination to keep moving forward, despite the pain, is a testament to the strength God gives her.

In December, we lost my godfather (my mom’s cousin) to COVID-19, and less than a month later, in January of 2021, we lost my paternal grandfather after a lengthy battle with lung failure. Both losses were difficult for my mom to cope with, but she managed to push through with her faith in God and friends at the gym.

All seemed to go well until November 1st of 2022, when my brother’s dad (who lived with us to co-parent my brother) abruptly moved without notice. It was a shock for us, as my mom was not working due to having to care for my little brother since he was born. My brother’s dad said he would still contribute what he was paying in rent for as long as my mom needed.

A few days later, my grandma experienced a stroke. She was hospitalized for this, and we had high hopes that she would recover. Unfortunately, she had two more strokes overnight, and her jaw somehow unhinged, leaving her unable to eat solid food and without the use of her left side. Since the hospital only allowed stroke patients to stay in their recovery center for a week, we had to find a nursing home that would accept Medicaid quickly. Like many other nursing homes, there were polite staff who took care of their patients and rude staff who would move the call button out of my grandmother’s reach and let her make a mess of herself while eating instead of assisting her in setting up her tray. With her brothers gone, my mom had no one else to advocate for my grandma, so she visited the nursing home multiple times, sanitizing the room and cleaning up my grandma when the nursing home staff failed to do so. On a few occasions, one of my mom’s friends, my grandma’s cousin, and her sister were able to go sit with her for a while and inform my mom that the nursing home staff was not doing what they said they were. Through late January, my grandma showed no progress with physical therapy. I could see the sadness in my mom’s eyes that no matter the efforts she put in, my grandma was not improving; the nursing home manager informed us that since another company was buying the nursing home and my grandma was showing no progress, we would need to find a place for her to move to.

One day, my grandma was able to lift her left leg. We became excited, and the nursing home staff requested to start physical therapy again. However, when my mom visited on a separate day, she found that the attending nurse was rude and not checking on my grandma. My mom recognized that my grandma was dehydrated and that her blood pressure was low. After my grandma’s blood pressure continued to decline rapidly, an ambulance was called to take her to the hospital. My mom assisted the nurses at the hospital with what they needed to do. They found that my grandma had a urinary tract infection due to dehydration. After several days of being hospitalized, my grandma was moved to a new nursing home we were considering without notice. The new nursing home was no better, and the room was filthy when my grandma got there. My mom told the staff that my grandma’s room was dirty, but no one came to clean the room. Fortunately, a new overnight nurse started her shift and said she would keep an eye on my grandma.

On the morning of February 8th, my mom received a call that my grandma was taken to the hospital via ambulance because she started seizing. She was told the UTI may have affected my grandma’s heart, and she was not going to last long. At the hospital, we were told my grandma had another stroke and had multiple blood clots throughout her body, and it was best to honor her DNR. My mom agreed with the doctor, and my grandma was moved to hospice. My grandma’s cousin picked me up from the hospital so I could get my brother from ABA therapy, leaving my mom alone. Unfortunately, my grandma began to have seizures back to back, leaving the hospice nurses in tears. Some friends stopped by the hospital to be with my mom, one staying with her overnight and taking the time to wipe down my grandma when she wasn’t seizing. My cousin flew in from the Navy and went to the hospital for a few hours at a time.

On February 10th, the seizures stopped, and my grandma drew her last breath. When my cousin left to go home, my mom sat alone in the room until a friend texted her that he was outside the hospital and could drive her to her car and guide her to the main road. As she stepped out of the room, she turned to look at my grandma, not wanting to leave. When my mom came home, I hugged her tightly, not knowing what to say. I can’t imagine how she feels after losing her brothers and mom. After burying my grandma’s ashes, it was hard for my mom to adjust. She continued to go to the gym, which helped tremendously through the grief. Unfortunately, due to increased membership prices, we had to step away from the gym that December.

In late January of 2024, after several weeks of odd behavior and driving a different car after his mother’s car broke down, my brother’s dad informed my mom he was in a serious relationship. My mom asked if this woman had been around my brother, and he said no. He claimed his girlfriend had experience working with children with special needs, leaving my mom slightly at ease. She asked that the new woman not be around Matthew until they met. Following her intuition, my mom looked up the plates of the new car and found that it was registered to one of his employees and her mother. When confronting my brother’s dad, he admitted that my brother had been around his new girlfriend several times. Later in the conversation, he stated he (age 51) was in a relationship with his employee (age 21), whom he hired immediately after she graduated high school (when she was 17).

Shortly after dropping the news to my mom, he took away the support he was giving, telling me, “It was going to have to end at some point.” Through this year, more of my brother’s dad’s lies have been exposed. He and his employee had dated for several months before he told my mom that my brother had been around her family multiple times. She lives with my brother’s dad and tags along with them everywhere, and his income each year is close to 80k (he told my mom it was around 40k).

What upsets my mom the most is that my brother’s dad took advantage of the fact that my brother cannot speak; that is pure evil. He lied about his income and never provided the appropriate amount of child support for my brother, leaving my brother to barely have what he needs while my mom goes without to provide for him. He sees nothing wrong with his girlfriend being seven years older than his son, quoting “love is love” as his defense. Sadly, he sees nothing wrong with only seeing my brother overnight once a week; he has not asked for more time, and when my mom has offered, he says no, preferring to spend his time with his girlfriend. My brother’s dad continues to lie and attempt to manipulate my mom when she speaks.

My mom has accrued credit card debt by trying to make ends meet, and more debt in attorney fees as my brother’s dad believes he does not need to do what the judge orders and has been held in contempt of court. I wonder what his reaction will be once he starts paying the appropriate amount of child support; he’s already upset about paying for a parent coordinator and a co-parenting app.

Despite all this, my mom has decided to better herself and pursue her associate’s degree in business administration at Colorado Christian University. I am very proud of how far she has come and how hard she works. Currently maintaining a 4.0 GPA, she hopes to get a job after graduation in 2026 so she will not depend on my brother’s dad.

After everything my mom has done for my brother and me, I help as much as possible, such as with her cellphone bill, groceries, and school supplies. However, I work as a secretary at a university, so my income is limited, and since I am in graduate school, spare cash is also restricted. However, I can start this for my mom; I hope to help relieve her of her credit card debt. After going through so much, she deserves peace of mind.

Thank you

Urgent Financial Assistance Needed

Subject: Urgent Financial Assistance Needed

Dear Donor Recipient,

I am reaching out with a humble request for financial assistance as my son and I face a challenging period. I was recently released from my job, and with no relatives to turn to for support, we are in urgent need of help to cover our rent for the next few months while I work to secure new employment.

Currently, my primary focus is ensuring that we maintain a roof over our heads, with electricity and heat, so we can stay off the streets. Celebrating Christmas with gifts is a distant hope, as providing safety and stability for my child is the most important thing.

We are also in the process of healing from the emotional and mental trauma of escaping a domestic violence relationship. This journey has been difficult, but I am determined to rebuild a secure and nurturing life for my child.

I am humbly requesting assistance of $3,000 to cover three months of rent and avoid the immediate risk of homelessness. This support would give us the time and stability needed to focus on recovery and finding new opportunities.

Thank you for considering our situation. Any help you can provide would mean the world to us. Please send donations to paypal.me/inspired619

Sincerely,
Single Mother In Urgent Need

Mom of 3, laid off at the end of November

I am a newly struggling mother of 3 that was recently one of seventy-five laid off from my job. They paid us through last week, however, it wasn’t enough to keep my bills going. My mortgage is due Friday and Christmas is about to hit right on top of that. My oldest also turns 16 in January so I’ll be financially unable to throw her a small “sweet sixteen” party. I need money to get me by until I secure other employment to get myself caught up. All I truly need is what pays my bills. Everything else can wait, truly.

House Repair (Black Mold) Make house livable

To Whom It May Concern;

First of all, I am a single mom with three kids and five grandchildren that always want to be at my house, but with the black mold I try not to let them be in here to much. My husband passed three years ago. I have been trying to get repairs done to my house but every time. I’ve either found the helper it falls through. I am laid off right now. My roof is leaking and it is causing black mold, part of the ceiling has fallen in. Every time it rains you can hear the rain hitting the sheet rock. I turn off all the lights just in case more sheet rock falls. I lost one chandelier which is know big deal, just scary because wires were left hanging. I just need the roof fixed and remove the black mold from inside. I found someone to do the roof for $20,000.00 and someone to do the sheet rock for $9,000.00. I have tried to do this on my own but it is not working out for me. I would be so grateful for whomever can help me. I am not trying to take advantage of any one I just really need the help. May God continue to bless you’ll.

Single mom needing a life change

Greetings to everyone who has stopped to read my page. Let me start by saying, this is definitely out of the norm for me. Honestly, I find it hard to ask for help. Because I felt like I was physically able to work and provide for me and my kids. It has been a long journey of trying to do it by myself. Only to realize that this superwoman can’t do it along. I am a single mom of two. A boy and a girl. I have always lived my life struggle to make sure I could give them better than what I had. It did matter how many hours I worked. Or how many family functions I missed. The end goal is Always them first!! The funny thing about my plan. Although it is a good way of thinking. If you don’t know better. It is hard to do better.

I am at a point where I am TIRED!!! I feel like I am still at the same point I was when I first became a mom. I can’t even I live paycheck to paycheck. Because my next check is already spent before I even earn it. I am about to lose my home and everything else. Normally, this is my favorite time of the year. But this year I will be lucky if I can keep a roof over their heads. Lord knows I am always available to help people in need, especially my family. What hurts more than anything. Is that I can’t rely on them for help. So, I am here reaching out to strangers. Praying that their hearts are more loving and understanding.

I struggle with chronic pain and other health issues. But I still get up every day that I am able. Because I have to. Earlier this year. My hours at work were cut in half. Talk about speed bumps in the road. How does one go from being able to have enough food. To everyone sharing a meal. Literally!! Even then, I continued to do my best. I can’t give up on them. Because, I know God has never given up on me.

I am facing an eviction, cut off notices, and a repo. I am swallowing my pride and asking for help. If you find it in your heart to help keep a roof over me and my kids heads. To make me a believer once again in people. And to show this family that this is truly a season to be joyful. I am asking for your prayers and/or financial help. I do realize that we are not your responsibility. But maybe we can be Your Why this holiday season. Blessing to you all!! And thank you, from a Single Mom in need. $Plidlo2021
