When you sign a lease agreement, you do not intend to break it. However things can happen, Health problems can keep you from work, you can lose your job, or unexpected finances come up. The result is that you cannot pay rent. You may also want to break a lease to get out from underneath a bad landlord. Or to get away from a neighbor. It may not be expected, but there can be times when breaking a lease is necessary.

Breaking a lease is usually grounds for eviction. The landlord or property management is not always going to consider the circumstances. Knowing your rights can help you deal with the process properly. This is useful in cases where you feel that you are being evicted unjustly.

Here are six important tips to protect yourself should you face an eviction.

  • Know the laws

Become familiar with the laws in your state. Each state has their own version of the Landlord and Tenant Act. This will serve as a guide to understanding the relationship between you and your landlord. It will contain an eviction section to focus on, but be sure to read the entire document. You can get a copy through the Attorney General’s website or by going to a local courthouse.

Pay close attention to the details regarding evictions, especially anything that constitutes an illegal eviction. In general, the landlord has to give a certain amount of notice and you have a window of time to correct the situation. Not allowing or adhering to this is a violation. An illegal eviction is not allowed in most states. If your landlord tries to evict you outside of the process, you can sue them. For example, if they change the locks on you or remove any property.

  • Keep records

From the day you move in, you should keep documents and records of all interactions with your landlord. This is beneficial should anything like an eviction come up. Keep every notice or letter they give you. Record the time, date, and nature of any verbal communications too. Always keep cashed checks and receipts as well as maintenance records.

It is also a good idea to take photos of the property when you move in, or once any grievance occurs. Some landlords have been known to claim damage to property and claim it was done by you. The more documentation and evidence you have, the better your case will be against your landlord or eviction. Not all landlords try devious tactics, but it is best to be prepared in the event they do.

  • Consult with an attorney

It helps to get legal advice during an eviction, even though you do not need representation for the case. Use a private attorney if you can afford one or check with Legal Aid for assistance. Most cities have Legal Aid offices and will be happy to provide consultation services. You get information and advice for a reduced price and sometimes free. Be sure to take all your documents and evidence so they can help you set up your case. Running through the details with them gets you prepared mentally for the case ahead.

  • Go to the hearing

You need to go to an eviction hearing in court. You cannot be evicted without this and your landlord is responsible for scheduling this. Do not miss this hearing. If you do not show, the judge automatically rules in favor of the landlord. If you go to the hearing, you may have a chance of beating the eviction. You will never know if you decide to pass. When you show up, the landlord also cannot claim damage against you or any other fines.

Make sure you are prepared before you go. Plan to proceed in the same way you discussed with your attorney. Have all documents ready to present and establish your defense before you get there. Dress professionally and arrive early.

  • Handling an eviction

In some cases, the judge will rule in favor of the landlord. Even if you have all documents and a good defense, you need to be prepared for this outcome. Make arrangements ahead of time to stay somewhere else and plant to rent a storage unit. If you have already found another rental, you do not need to worry about that. BE prepared to leave the property quickly. Every state allows an amount of time for eviction and in some cases it can be as little as 48 hours.

  • Getting another place

Evictions can be reported to credit bureaus. This can hurt your chances of renting again. Most landlords do not report this but there are other ways credit companies can get this info. There are companies that collect information and sell it to prospective landlords.

Be prepared for your next landlord to know about the eviction. Don’t plan on hiding it. Explain the circumstances to them and be honest. You can present all the same documents you had for the hearing to make your case. It does not do any good to talk bad about the previous landlord, especially if the eviction was your fault. You do not want to appear like a problem tenant. It can take time to find a new rental.

Many will turn you down, but someone will approve of you. You should expect that when you are approved you will have to pay or a higher security deposit. The eviction becomes less relevant as time passes, especially when you begin to make on-time payments.

An eviction can seem disastrous and cause for worry. The important thing to remember is that you are not the only one to go through this. Many renters have been evicted and get through the process just fine. Protect yourself by following the laws and being honest. Be prepared and know your rights and you will have the best chance of beating an eviction. If you do get evicted, know that it is not the end of the world. With time, everything will be right again.

If I get evicted my dogs and i will be homeless.

First of all I would like to say i am not great with words or trying to explain things. I also have never asked for help before and I’m only asking on this sight because I’m embarrassed and ashamed that i have to beg for money to pay my rent and I don’t want anyone that I know to see this.
My name is Jill and I have two dogs that are my whole world. Jack (6 yrs) and Zùca (2 yrs). We live in Missouri close to St. Louis. I am unable to work due to a disability and I receive SSI disability. $914 a month. As everyone knows is very hard to survive on. I live in a mobile home that was left to me by my mother when she passed away. So i own my home but still have to pay pad rent of $600 a month. Plus my electric bill. My car is paid for. Its a 2005 Honda Pilot with 250,000 miles. So far still running good. My checking account right now has a balance of -$7.05. My past due rent is $1,613.00 plus attorneys fees of $384.75. Yes they are taking me to court to evict me off their property unless i pay the past due amount by Tuesday 10/24/2023.
The only family I have is my older brother and he has enough of his own issues he is dealing with right now. My sister-in-law passed away in July from a very aggressive form of cancer. It was fast and unexpected. They had been together for 20 years and he is absolutely heart broken and grief stricken not to mention his financial situation is now half of what it was. With a home they bought 6 years ago he is struggling to pay his own bills by himself. I don’t want to be a bother to him.

So basically I am asking for help to pay my past due rent and court costs. Approximately $2,000.00. I don’t know what to do or where to turn. If anyone can find it in the kindness of their heart to please help me and my dogs from becoming homeless I would very much appreciate it.
My cash app is $jillhomer.
My paypal is paypal.me@jillkhomer.
Thank you in advance for your kindness.

Family Facing Eviction

Hello. I am a mother of 3 young children 9,6,&4. I am currently facing eviction if I don’t pay $3479 by 5:30 pm tomorrow (Friday, October 21st). I am having a hard time because everything is getting expensive, while wages are staying the same. My rent increased by $250 back in June and since then I have been struggling to pay it every month. I am currently attempting to build a business, however, while still working a full-time job and having young children (two of them are currently homeschooled) it’s tough to invest time into building it and managing the rest of my life. I try my best thought. I have yet to get clients but I know if I keep working at it, they will come.  Ideally, $7,227 would help because I could also pay November’s ($1436)rent and pay off a savings loan that I currently have. I owe $2,312 on the loan and once I pay it off completely, I will get back the $ 2,500 that they saved for me. This would allow me to breathe and focus on my family and my business without the stress of “Can I make the money in time.” However, whatever can be given will help. Even if it’s just enough to rent a truck for the move and to get a room for my kids and me until my dad has room for us at his house. His house is being renovated.

Eviction Notice for the 29th of October

Hi, I appreciate you taking the time to read my story. I am in a situation where I have an eviction notice if I can get the rest of my rent with is about $1000. I used to have a roommate but one day he just decided to leave and not let me know. Now I can’t pay the rent on my own this month and I need some financial help. I do have a dog that I also have and would love to also keep a roof over her head too. I  honestly can’t express how much help I need right now, I’m scared of not having a roof over my head and I don’t have any family members who would take me in with my dog. I do have a job but it isn’t doing a lot to my bills in this economy. I’m working on getting a second job but it won’t be intime for my eviction notice. If there is absolutely anything you could spare I couldn’t thank you enough. Thank you so much for reading.

Single Mom Need help to avoid eviction

Hello, I am a single mother of 3 boys. Back in 2015, I  had to run for my life when the father of my children threatened to kill me. Since then, I’ve had some ups and downs. For the most part, I have been good. I was able to quit my 9-5 back in 2020 and fully run my consulting business. I was able to provide for my children and I. Living in FL was tough, paying high rent to stay in a good neighborhood was okay for me. Until recently, I relocated to GA to be able to escape the cost of high rent. The home we have is pretty nice in a really good neighborhood. Since I’ve gotten here my business has taken a huge dip with the economy and money drastically slowed down. I found different avenues to make money but my bills keep building up. For the first time in years, I’ve found myself in a situation that I dreaded the most. Not being able to pay my bills. My credit cards took a toll because I had to use them when my business slowed down to keep us afloat. Jobs are not privy to people like me because my time is very limited. Being that I am the only adult I have to make sure kids get dropped off and picked up from school.

I’ve been looking for some work-from-home jobs but no luck as of yet. I’m afraid that my children and I are going to be on the street if I don’t get caught up quickly. There are no funding programs out there to help. I am a true believer that I will be in a better position in a few months but the problem is waiting. I don’t think I have time to get there. I’ve asked around and everyone has their own problems. The funny thing is, I was the one everyone called when they needed help. Now, I’m the one who needs help and no one can help me. Sucks for real!! I cry myself to sleep most nights because all I want is to be able to take care of my children and live a good life. I want to believe that I deserve a good life but sometimes life happens. I pray special blessings to anyone who sows into my children and my lives.

God bless you all.

Facing Eviction in 2 days!! Please help!!!

To Whomever can help us,

I am writing this request with the hope that someone can truly help my family and I.  We are facing the very real and dark reality of an eviction as of Monday, October 16th. I am a proud man of faith. I was raised with the belief of working hard to get what you have and want. To have ask for help is nothing I take pride in, but for my family, I will do what I need to.

This situation we are in has occurred for a number of reasons including health reasons, and plain bad luck. To say “when it rains, it pours”, would describe the last 6 months for us. To be in this position is truly a very humbling experience.  My wife and I both work, We don’t go out much, and we live a fairly modest life. We have a 16 y/o daughter who has type 1 diabetes,  and I battle type 2 diabetes.  Our medical expenses alone consume a decent amount of our income, but we have been able to keep our head above water for the most part. About 4 months ago, We had an issue being able to pay the rent on time. Our Landlord is a company and there is no help when it comes to paying on time. So we began getting hit with late fees. The complex would not accept partial payments for the rent without the late fees of $10 a day. Before we knew it, we were now facing an extra $300 towards the rent. Then my wife’s car started breaking down on top of this.  One of the cylinders in her car needed to be replaced. My wife has a warranty, so we were thinking that wouldn’t be a problem until we found out the item that needed to be repaired had stipulations that didn’t allow it under the plan. And, she fell behind on the payments too.  I had been working from home for the ladt 3 years, and was blessed to start a new job. This job required me to go into the office.  Because of this, I had to purchase a car due to now having to drive a total of  60 miles to work each day. This created an extra expense for not only having to pay the car note of $550 a month plus spending  $100 a week for gas, plus insurance for another vehicle. Thank goodness I have the car, but now due to the excess wear and tear, my car needs to be serviced. My car is the only means we have, and we can’t afford to have it go down too.  I even took out a loan with my credit union for $1000. We were able to stave off an eviction at that point. But we were soon right back in the same position and now with more debt to pay back. To cover some of these basic expenses, my wife and I both started taking out payday loans. The impact of all of these loans caused the rent to fall behind again.  Before we realized it, this quickly became an overwhelming cycle of debt that has now come to not being able to get caught up. We are facing eviction as of this coming monday October 16th. The keys have to be turned in by that date. We are $6000p behind in rent, $2000 in repairs and getting my wife’s car payments back on track, and having to pay for movers to help us get our stuff out of this apartment and into storage. I have been blessed to find a new location for us, but we need $2000 just to move in. Which we don’t have. We don’t even have decent furniture to move except for our beds. I will have to take time away from my job to get us situated, which places me in a burden.  We have asked family and friends for assistance. Some have been able to help a little, but we are running out of time. I don’t want us to become homeless. We need an extreme financial blessing from someone in the amount of  $10K. Any help to assist us would be greatly and graciously appreciated.

Thank you in advance for reading my request.

Small family wants to be independent again and have a roof over our head.

Hello Everyone,

I am writing on here today because I have reached a point where I am scared for my family and myself. Let me give a little background. We have been restarting our lives since 2020 when I was let go from my job due to covid. This was a rough time and we tried moving to Oklahoma. After living there for a year, we decided Oklahoma was not for us and gained a little help to get back to the west coast and moved to Oregon. It has been rough since we moved as our credit was hit hard. But I remained strong for my wife and child and got a job to start paying bills. Well, when that job ran low on work I was released because I was the last one hired and the first one out. It was rough and scary, but I pushed on hard and got two jobs. An IT job working from 8am to 5pm and another job stocking a grocery store from 10pm until 6:30am.

This was hard because I was never around my family. Finally with my background in IT and technology I was able to get a contract job working for a large silicon firm. We were able to level out a little bit, but they were paying me scratch for the work that was being completed so we did not really have a chance to save we were living paycheck to paycheck. Well, this was a six-month contract, and they chose not to continue the contract due to budget reasons.

I soon after found another decent contract job (the one I am at now) but there was an issue with waiting for my background check and was not able to start right away. Along with a car accident that we are still waiting on whether our car is totaled or not. It has been a few months. This led to hard moments because of rent being what it was and bills. I ended up forgoing some bills for the time being to keep a roof over my wife, child, and my head. This was done by taking out small loans (which is only for emergencies) to keep our heads up. Finally I was given the ok to start working and my contractor gave the company the go ahead for me to work. This was great!!! Finally, I can catch up. But alas due to the pay schedule of the contract company I worked a total of 4 weeks before I could get paid. So, I had to pull a couple more loans to try and survive. But, after 4 weeks I was finally paid for two weeks because the job is biweekly. I was able to pay rent but very few bills that had built up. Since then, I have been working and only paying rent with my paychecks. But, as of now we are behind. The way I look at it if I could get back to pay rent with last check and save and pay bills with the middle check of the month, I can make it. But as of now I am stuck using multiple paychecks to pay rent because of catching up with bills. This is a slow downhill situation. Well as of now it is a downhill into possible homelessness for my family. I have tried again for loans, but that horse has run away, and my credit is in shambles.

I am reaching out to the people today because I really need help getting back on my feet. I hate asking others for help I have always supported my family and been strong in doing so. But now I am at wits end, and I will not be able to pay all my rent and I already have the 72-hour notice. I want to get back to level have my rent paid and my bills caught up so that we can begin to live without stress and save money (we have so many plans). I pray every night for help and cry as I do so (I am not much of a crying person, but this situation has put me there). We really need some help. If anyone can please help I would be forever grateful and in your debt. I just want to protect my family and never want to ask for help but, here I am now reaching out to anyone for help. Please help my prayers be answered and allow my family to level back out.

I am just stating out there that the current issue is our rent is late with a 2500 amount because of late fees and our water and power bill ranging 800 dollars. With resolving these as much as possible will keep my family homed and our utilities up to date. I know I may not receive it all but in all honesty anything can help. I want my wife, my 5 year old son and I to catch up I don’t want us to not have a home and I don’t want us to stress or hurt anymore.

Single mom , eviction, moving closer to better healthcare fire my disabled son

Hello,

I am a 31 year old single mother of three children. (15, 12:special needs, and 10). We are being evicted because my vehicle’s motor went out. I got a rental for a few days that turned into a month once I couldn’t find anyone to fix my suv that is large enough to fit my son’s wheelchair. We live in a based on income apartment for 8 years. I got behind on my rent due to getting another vehicle. The rental also cost 1200. I have no family so I’m thinking of moving to Birmingham from Huntsville to be closer to my son’s appointments. Rent for a four bedroom home is Atleast 1600. I’ve worked my butt off my whole life to be able to buy a house. When I got 9k saved up last year I was robbed (I made a police report) and my credit dropped significantly and buying a home was no longer an option. Growing up , I had my mom and little brother. Neither can help even with babysitting. I don’t go out. I stay home with my children. I’m single and choose to stay that way until the right man comes along. The apartment complex is giving me a week to move or pay 3600. I would love to move in a house closer to my sons appointments anyways but since that money got stolen I’m no where near how close I was to buy a home. I just want my kids to have a decent safe home. Everything is falling on my shoulders and I’m stuck. I have nowhere to turn. No family to live with. Nobody to borrow money from. I make 13.50 an hour, 80 hours a week. My son gets 900 in ssi. With that income I’m barely scraping by with a car payment and $2000 rent, car insurance, food, phone, and whatever my kids need. I went to nursing school but never finished because of my son being hospitalized due to Lennox gastaut syndrome. He was a perfect healthy baby until delivery somehow he ended up inhaling a lot of amniotic fluid, which caused his brain to die in certain spots. It’s so hard seeing him go from a child who looks healthy and walking to a deteriorating boy who is in a wheelchair. I’m his only caregiver. The syndrome only gets worse until he passes. He is always in pain and it breaks my heart when he says walk mommy walk. He doesn’t understand why he can’t walk. Now I’m facing eviction due to getting another vehichle and paying enterprise rent a car 1200. I feel like a failure. Everytime I get close to buying them a home something happens. I have so many student loans and couldn’t finish school because his health had declined. My 3 children have the same father but I don’t get any help from him or anybody. I hate to be on this website but I have no choice. This is my last resort. I would never sell my body or the tv that my disabled son uses. That’s the only thing he is able to do. I gave my last to help a young woman pay her utility bill. She promised I’d get it back October 2nd and now I can’t get in touch with her. I’ve swallowed my pride. I’m hungry but my kids ate. There are people worse off, I really don’t want to take my kids to the homeless shelter. They are my life. I don’t trust people. They are all I have. If children services were involved they would probably take them. My daughter has a 4.3 gpa my other son has straight As. They are very good kids. I don’t want to fail them. I have proof of everything. I can pay you back, on a payment plan. I really need whatever I can use to move and rent a house until I build my credit back up to buy a home. I’m failing them. I am so depressed and desperate. I’m so sorry to have to beg for help. Thanks for reading my story. I hope it came out right. My head is hurting and my belly is growling but my kids ate and that’s what matters. They don’t know what’s going on. I hope I figure something out before they put our stuff out. God bless.

Unlocking a Brighter Future: A Single Mother’s Journey to Rebuild

I hope this letter finds you well. I am writing to you today with humility and gratitude, seeking your assistance during a time of great need. In 2020, my life took an unexpected turn as I faced a legal battle that ultimately led to financial hardship and an uncertain future for myself and my two beloved children.

Prior to this challenging period, I had made the courageous decision to move my family from Ohio to Arizona, driven by the hope of providing my children with access to better public schools and the promise of an overall improved life. With a strong background in banking, I left my job in Ohio with the intention of securing a new position in Arizona and using my savings as a financial cushion during the transition. Unfortunately, life had different plans for me.

The legal battle that followed was unlike anything I had ever experienced. Despite having a strong belief in the facts of my case, I unexpectedly found myself on the losing side without a contingency plan. This experience had dire consequences on my ability to secure meaningful employment. Even with an impeccable resume, I discovered that having an open case and a subsequent conviction made it nearly impossible for me to find work, not just in banking but in any field.

Trapped in a lease and with no income to rely on, I watched my savings deplete rapidly. Eventually, my financial situation deteriorated to the point where not only had my savings run out, but I had also accumulated over $10,000 in debt just to meet our basic needs.

Despite the immense challenges, my children were able to benefit from the better schools in Arizona, providing them with a brighter future, especially my son. I did eventually secure a banking job, but it paid significantly less than my previous position, and I was burdened by the debt I had accrued during my period of unemployment.

I battled fiercely to regain financial stability and provide for my family, but it seemed that every step forward was met with another setback. Eventually, I faced eviction, leaving me and my children homeless. In a desperate attempt to find a solution, I had no choice but to return to Ohio, where I at least had the support of family, albeit temporarily.

Back in Ohio, I was eager to start anew. However, even with my legal case resolved, I found myself repeatedly rejected by potential employers due to my background. Despite receiving job offers, I watched in dismay as each one was rescinded upon the completion of background checks.

I also tried to supplement my income by working for Uber Eats, a position I had successfully held in Arizona. However, my background check while signing up in Ohio led to my dismissal from the platform, leaving me with even fewer options for income.

The toll of these challenges has not been limited to my financial situation but has deeply affected my mental and emotional well-being. The inability to provide stability, a home, and basic necessities has been a source of tremendous shame and frustration. However, it has also been a profound source of learning. In times of hardship, I’ve discovered an innate ability to be innovative and resourceful, finding solutions where I thought none existed.

Prior to my legal ordeal, I had founded a business in 2017 focused on fruit and vegetable juice, inspired by my own experience in managing epilepsy. I wanted to share the health benefits I had gained with others and even authored a book on the subject. While the business showed promise, my reliance on its profits to sustain my livelihood proved unsustainable when my income disappeared.

My primary goal is to hire an attorney who can assist in expunging my records, a process for which I am eligible, having completed all requirements, paid all fees, maintained a clean record prior to this incident, and waited the specified timeframe. Expunging my record is not just about erasing the past; it’s about reclaiming my future and the opportunities that come with it.

Additionally, I am determined to repay my accumulated debt, which would enable me to move forward with a clean slate once my record is expunged. This financial assistance would not only help me regain my footing but also allow me to provide the stability and security that my children deserve.

Finally, I seek assistance with a down payment and the first month’s rent for a rental unit. This support would enable my children and me to move into our own home, as my family has kindly allowed us to stay temporarily. Achieving these goals would not only reset the trajectory of my life but also provide the stability my children urgently need.

In closing, I want to express my deepest gratitude for considering my request for financial assistance. I am wholeheartedly committed to overcoming these challenges, not only for myself but for the well-being and future of my children. I understand that my situation is complex, but I am determined, resourceful, and dedicated to creating a brighter future for my family. Your support would not only provide us with a lifeline but also the opportunity to rebuild our lives.

Thank you for your time, understanding, and potential assistance.

Help me stop eviction

I am here seeking assistance to avoid eviction. I have been out of work for almost a year while caring for my sick elderly mother. Allow me to provide you with an explanation of why I desperately need $2500 to clear my past due rent balance:

A safe and comfortable living environment is essential for one’s overall well-being, and being at risk of eviction can create immense stress and uncertainty. By addressing the past due rent balance, I can ensure that I have a stable place to live, allowing me to focus on other aspects of your life, including my new job which is a work from position.

The fact that I have been out of work for almost a year while taking care of my mother just highlights my commitment to family and my dedication to providing care for loved ones. However, during this time, my  finances have been completely strained. This event lead lead me  to falling behind on my rent payments. Despite relying on my savings, the prolonged period without income has made it challenging to make ends meet.

I do have a new job offer that I  have received starting on November 6. This presents a positive opportunity for me to regain financial stability and independence. However, in order to fully benefit from this opportunity, it’s crucial to address the past due rent balance promptly. By clearing this outstanding amount, I can start my new job, (which is a work from home position)with a clean slate and focus on rebuilding my financial situation.

Furthermore, eviction can have long-lasting consequences, making it difficult to secure future housing or rental opportunities. Avoiding eviction will ensure that I maintain a positive rental history, which is crucial for your future housing prospects. This will allow me to move forward and create a stable and secure living situation for myself and my family.

I am not just begging, there are various resources and organizations that are able to provide assistance for my situation. Before coming to this platform I tried every organization I could could,I have yet to get a response back from any of those organizations.

I haven’t given up! I’ve just about sold most if not all of my valuable items. I have also recently started giving plasma for extra money. I have about a 4 days until the eviction is filed and although I am scared I am hopeful that I can make it through this hard time with the help of other kind people. I am also grateful to all that are able to help monetarily or just with prayer.

Foreclosure on my home

Hi,

I am a 51 year old woman who works a full time job and a part time job.  I have been at my full time job for 24 years now and my part time job for just 2 months now.

My husband left me for someone else and the mortgage is in his name only.  I am only on the deed.  He has not paid the mortgage and 2 days ago I was visited by the Sheriff’s Office that my house is going to be going to going to be auctioned off on Jan 10, 2024.  The amount of money that I need to cover the entire cost of my mortgage would be 148,000.  I have tried to get a mortgage in my name, but because he’s the only one on the mortgage no one will lend me any money to take care of this, and he doesn’t care if his son and myself will not have a home anymore.

I have tried to take out personal loans but they only go to 50,000.  I just do not know what else to do anymore.  I love my house and I would like to keep it if I can.

If people could please help me out you have no idea how much I would appreciate it!!

Thank you for considering me in this matter when you are reading this.

I need to pay my rent to avoid eviction!

In November 2022, I was laid off from my job of 5 years. I am a single mom & my two children depend solely on me. One is a senior in high school & the other one is in 1st grade. I am currently working, but my yearly salary was nearly cut in half. I accepted the position back in May because my unemployment was ending and my savings was depleted. I do not qualify for food assistance because my income exceeds the limit, but each month I’m having to choose between keeping my rent budget or feed my children. My rent is due today, and they file eviction the next day. My car payment is also due & this is the only means of transportation that I have for me & my children. My rent is $1,758, and my car payment is $500. I had a budget of taking $400 out of my check each week for rent but I had to pay my car insurance, internet, & utilities this month. I am searching for a higher paying job, but so is everyone else, so I am not having any luck. It is so overwhelming how much my life has changed that I feel like giving up. I had started doing Doordash but my children kept calling because I was leaving them at home for long periods of time. Please assist. https://paypal.me/stayingfocused1027?country.x=US&locale.x=en_US or cash app $aull1981

**The Beautiful Disaster…REPOST!!**

I want to start off by saying, to any and everyone who finds it in their hearts to help my family and I, will forever be in mine! Knowing that a complete stranger cared more than enough to help more than my own blood would, let’s just say I am and will be beyond grateful of y’all! I apologize in advance for the novel y’all are about to encounter, for it will definitely make y’all’s head spin (hopefully I won’t make them spin off). Here’s goes, nothing…

My husband and I have 8 kids total (blended family). 20 year old twins, 17 yr old, 16 yr old, two 13 yr olds, 10yr old, and a 2yr old (yea, we’re crazy, I know)!

As I find myself sitting here cuddling with my sleeping 2yr old, watching my 3 teenagers laugh with and at each other, trying to type all this out, all while trying to hold myself together  fighting to hold back countless tears for the sake of my kids, definitely ain’t easy! Again I apologize in advance!

In 2021, my husband decided that it was time he follow one of his many dreams. With a new baby on the way, and all of my support for him and the down time I had, I got everything ready minus the name for what was going to be our family Tree Service business. Days went by, we were getting closer to welcoming our daughter, things were good, and we were happy. On July 22nd we got the call around 930pm saying they were ready for me to come in for my scheduled induction due to being put on lovenox earlier in my pregnancy. So we pack up and we were off! Got settled in, and given that they still had covid restrictions in place, him and my mom were the only one allowed to be with me. We started the induction process without any problems. My stubborn butt was hellbound on having a completely natural birth minus of course the Pitocin for the induction. My husband went out to move my moms and our cars and to get the rest of our stuff, and in a matter of 2 hours I was already a 6-7. He went to get coffee and check on our other kids, and that’s when it hit me, something wasn’t right. I looked and my mom and she knew! She ran and yelled for my husband, the nurse, and the anesthesiologist. Epidural went smoothly, but something still wasn’t right. So the nurse came back in to “check” me, and that was when it went from what was supposed to be the happiest moment to the absolute WORST moments of our lives. I will NEVER forget the look on that nurses face. She RAN and got the Dr. And when I tell you that everyone rushed into my room, my heart dropped! The Dr checked me and they thought she had just moved, because the fetal monitor wasn’t picking up. She moved alright, until he looked again and thats when he looked at me and said “Darlin, if we don’t go NOW, we will lose BOTH of you!”  I was hysterical! And in that moment, I was living in my worst fear! They rolled me into the OR, and I hear them ask my husband if he was sure he wanted to go in because there was an 80% chance neither one of us were coming out alive! I felt time stop y’all! He jerked those scrubs out of their hands and said “Get the F out of my way, I’m going in!” Needless to say not a soul stopped him. A 45 minute surgery took 2.5 hours! I flat lined 3 times before they had to dislocate her shoulder (because it was hanging out down south) in order to get her out. She was born lifeless. I asked “why isn’t she crying”, they worked on her for 4 minutes, yet it seemed like forever. The moment I heard her sweet little yet loud cry, I hear them say “sir we’re losing her”! I flatlined again. I ain’t never had an out of body experience, like this one…I was standing over my very exposed body and my husband as I placed my hand on his shoulder telling him “not yet baby, it’s ok, hold on!” Slowly but surely, I came back around! The look of relief my husband had, was more than enough for me to know, we were finally all ok! And he didn’t go to jail (if you knew, you’d understand)!  We got to come home just 2 days later and that’s when I realized that I fell deeper in love with my husband, and that the hole in my heart was finally filled! That was our first traumatic event.

A few month go by, and we finally pick up where we left off with my husbands dream, just with a little twist. Instead of it just being him, he decides that his best friend of 20 years he was going to be his partner. Which was great because it also extended our business from NC up into VA, where we also became a part of a legal and licensed cannabis farm. Which was going to be a branch off of our already established Tree Service business, we were going to legally distribute to the local dispensaries in NC. Everything went great until our so called best friend/partner stole right out from underneath us, leaving us with all the expenses on top of everything that we had already funded solely ourselves to begin with. So business was really off to a rocky start come 2022. Which leads me to where it really all begins.

The last week in January 2022, even after all we had already been through, we get a call from one of our friends saying she didn’t have a place to go because the girl she was staying at the time was crazy and kicked her out for no reason. So I tell my husband, let’s go get her! She can stay until she gets back on her feet. We picked her up and brought her home, fix her up a place in our basement, things were good. She was working on getting her, at the time, 9month old daughter back that was only 2 months older than ours.  So I had a really really big soft spot! She was on the right path until she got back into an old crowd we had no idea about, which caused her to fall back into her addiction. One thing left into another, she stole the hemp we had just brought from the cannabis farm in VA, because she thought  it was marijuana, not hemp. One thing led to another, she got into some trouble. Which led her to falsely accusing my husband and I, in order to “save” herself. That’s when all of the alphabet and when I say all…I mean every single one of them busted into our home, throwing me and my kids down on the floor holding us down at gun point. ALL because of false allegations this woman gave that ended up making her case EVEN worse. Long story short, my husband was the ONLY one who took charges because this woman was no where to be found, with the exception that if they find her these would be dropped against him! Well after me spending countless hours trying to figure out how I was going to come up with $10,000 for his bail, we was finally released back to me. While all of this is going on we get a knock on our door, and it’s our lovely sheriffs department, they said they were here to severe us papers. Confused as ever, we looked and it said Notice of Eviction. My heart and soul went entirely black! My husbands ex father in law (who’s never lived here a day in his life but helped him and his ex wife buy and build this home from scratch) was trying to take his grandchildren’s home away from them for no reason other than misunderstanding of a situation that we had became victims of. MY husband and his ex father in law finally talked and the eviction of thrown out! We were relieved!  During all that, we fell months behind on bills, multiple disconnections of power, didn’t know how we were going to feed our kids much less ourselves. But we had managed to somewhat gotten back on track, and just when we thought we could breathe, we were proven wrong.

Which leads me to our current situation. As Iv stated before, we own a tress service business. Well that obviously means that my husband is constantly in and out of woods, sometimes deep heavily woods. And there’s some critters that I just done do very well with like spiders and snakes! Well needless to say, about 6 weeks ago, my husband had a really bad encounter with both of those critters. And him being that hardheaded stubborn type of person that just doesn’t like go to the dr, he finally went. But of course it wasn’t until August 26, 2023 at 2:27am, when I had to do CPR on him after our 16yr old found him unconscious on our couch! Whatever had bit him caused his left arm to completely swell to the point it had developed blisters and came close to busting open on its own and caused him to go into cardiac arrest. I got him back, I carried him to the car on my own and became a nascar driver in order to get him to the hospital (which was 45 mins away). Thankfully I got him there in time, and they said if we would have waited even an hour we would have lost him due to the severity and how rapidly the infection had spread and where it had spread. He had became septic which on the verge of multiple organ failure. Thankfully the IV antibiotics slowed down that process enough for him to have surgery on August 29th, where they were unsure of if they could save his arm or not. After an extensive surgery, they finally came and told me that surgery went good and that they were able to save his arm, but he’d be out of work until further notice due to having to go thru physical therapy. Which he wasn’t happy to hear that, but at least he’s still here with us. I still have my soul mate, my better half, and my kids still have their father! So he can be a little mad that he has to rest and take it easy for a bit! Now here’s the beautiful disaster, not even 2 hours after his surgery, we get a phone call from one of the deputies that serves in our county. Asking if we were home because he had some papers to serve us. I lose it and tell him want was going on and what we had just went thru, mind you my husband was knocked out from the pain meds, this man sat straight up in his bed and said give me the phone! And to our complete disbelief, his greedy ex father in law, had yet again served us with eviction papers. This time it is solely based on the market being up and his greed. Now might I add, our house in under what we thought was a life estate. But since the divorce of my husband and his ex wife, the way the paperwork was filed, it caused my husbands ex father in law become the replacement. In other words, my husbands name was removed and replaced with his ex father in laws name. CRAZY I know! And I’m not sure how that’s even possible after all the research Iv done and phone calls Iv made! But it was enough for them to grant the eviction and gave 10 days to turn over our home!

I can’t keep from asking myself…What are we going to do? Where are we going to go? How are we supposed to tell our kids that their papaw has taken the place that their daddy built with his own two hands, the ONLY place they’ve ever known and the ONLY place they’ve ever called HOME, away from them?

Again I apologize for novel, but I couldn’t keep it in any longer. More so I literally don’t know what to do! I have exhausted all of my options, which is why I’m here trying this out. In hopes that something good will come of it. And a miracle happens so that my kids can keep their HOME! I really don’t know how much more my family can take!
