I am going thru a divorce a mentally exhausting deal when your ex would rather you be homeless with the kids than let you walk away.  But add to the fact that I worked for him and never received a paycheck and he was in control of our money so I left with NOTHING and NO SAVINGS

Then I have no lawyer for the divorce and he does also no one to help due to the fact I’m in the mountains states away from anyone I call family and he wants to try to take everything, Everything I came into the marriage with well what’s left of it and all that I HAVE PAID for and then some and because I don’t have a lawyer, and he may just get it in the end if I can’t get some help somewhere and FAST!

I have the home we lived in only because he didn’t want to pay the bills here so I kept it and have made it over a year paying the bills working online cleaning homes doing errands and whatever to get it and would have been ok had I not loaned out money to help another in need and it felt good to do so until he didn’t hold up his side of the deal and even knowing I could lose everything!

I don’t have my mortgage paid for this month 2,400 and they pulled out the money from last months mortgage of 2,400 due to the help I so humbly gave to someone I had trusted!

I’m not on a normal loan, otherwise I would have some options I’m on an owner carry meaning I took over their note and my second mortgage is the amount that goes directly to the seller.

I’ve had loan offers but because this divorce is still closing no financer will touch it and neither would I sign with the ex or go in on the airbnb with him, he’s done enough for me to know 100% that he would just take all he could and leave me with nothing if given the chance unless I gave in and went back with him.  Why someone would think a woman would go back to them if they basically strong arm them idk or why they would want her back because clearly she only did so to save herself and a matter of time she would get away again…

I do have a silver lining if only I can make it and I am very familiar with airbnb, Verbo home rentals, their process how to manage it, like I said above I also have investors ready to go upon the divorce to help out if needed or I can get a grant being a woman business owner but its all contingent on me getting the divorce final and paying the bills this month, the home is a beautiful 5bd 3ba right on the lake with pool and Jacuzzi within walking distance to the lake or the mountains when it snows for skiing its a year round win win.  There are a few other Airbnbs with places similar to mine but smaller in the area and they make a killing!

My home is estimated to make 180,000 a year, base income so with the pool Jacuzzi and extras it ups the price and I can always charge over or under their recommendations its all up to me.

So I have a plan and am so close to getting it or LOSING it all because of money and only 10,000 and i would be back on track and close out the divorce in a few weeks

I have so many dreams I wish to accomplish. Mainly I want to open a rehab center to help people who struggle with Alcoholism and Addiction as well as aid in the fight against Drunk Drivers as that was the cost of my mother’s life. I would also provide assistance for others grieving the loss of someone close to them like the loss of my mother was to me, in return that it would bring them hope that losing them, is in fact a reason gained to live again.

However first I need to get steady on my own. I currently work as a wedding planner assistant, it’s not consistent enough to maintain (I do enjoy it). My job was remote and since losing it June 2024, I have struggled to find a regular job. I have so much experience and I can’t phantom why. Hello my name is Nick, I’m 26, I live in Connecticut, USA. I have many issues going on right now involving finances, I am trying my best.

My background that got me into this situation is I worked as a subcontractor for my family’s members boyfriend, he’s been doing carpentry since he was young. I have bad anxiety and some medical problems with my throat. I went to gastroenterologist did all the tests, it wasn’t that so I went to a ENT doctor, did all the tests, then I had surgery, Botox injection for rcpd. It helped at first, but now I think I need another injection soon. It was hard to work a normal job, so this was my one way to make money. He needed me, because his partner was hurt and in the hospital recovering. I’m a hard worker but I was new at this but he taught me well, I learned how to work all power tools, how to work with cement, painting, anything anyone needed to be done. I started moving furniture, preparing the truck with what we needed and garbage removal, dump removal. Then I went into painting, carpentry, ect. I was getting paid under the table really good. I was staying with a family member at the time, stacking my money in my savings for an apartment. Thankfully I wasn’t paying rent to them, just chores like cleaning, stacking wood, yard work,ect. Eventually they broke up and and his friend recovered, after that he didn’t need me, even though I did great work. Which would of be devastating, but I had a good amount of money saved up.

We became partners 3 months before we moved in together. After finding an apartment with my girlfriend we were able to eventually find a nice place. But I was dumb I’ll admit it and spending money on expensive gifts especially every month anniversary, also spending a lot of money on my young siblings, just living life and having fun, since their dad couldn’t do that for them, my stepdad. I didn’t understand how fast money went. I was in love and just spending money, the. The rent, furniture, phone payments, car insurance, entertainment services like Netflix, hulu, ect. I am a single mother who has done her best to be financially independent.  I’ve worked hard all my adult life.  But unfortunately, life has not been easy for me at all. It’s been very hard.

I have practically raised my two sons on my own, with barely any help from their fathers.   I attempted to open several small businesses throughout the years, and all have failed.

 

I worked full-time as an independent homecare nurse.  My income is not enough to cover all my bills.  I don’t spend money on expensive stuff.  My life has been less than basic.  I don’t travel.  I haven’t had a vacation in over 10 years.  All I do is work hard and focus on finding ways to create a home-based online business for a better life.  But I have been failing miserably.  I have loads of debts and am living paycheck to paycheck.  I feel stuck and overwhelmed.

 

I am in a tough financial situation where my credit cards are maxed out.  I am not able to pay my monthly mortgage, pay my credit card bills, and even afford food at times.  I owe the IRS, and I am behind on a monthly payment agreement.

 

My monthly mortgage payment is about $3700.  I spend $2000 on my son’s school tuition.  My son is 19 years old.  He is taking an online course at Bethel School to become a computer software engineer.  It means a lot to him.   So, I am making the sacrifice to pay for it.  I owe the IRS over $30,000.  My other bills such as car insurance, life insurance, gas, electricity, internet, phone, home condo fee, water sewer, food, and more totaled about $2000 or more.  I have $16000 in credit card debt.

 

As a Christian woman, I normally take out 10% of my earnings to pay my tithe.  I believe that the 10% belongs to God who gives me health, strength, protection, and intelligence.  But things have been so bad that I have not been able to do so for the last three paychecks.

 

I haven’t had health insurance in over two years since I can’t afford it.  I do my best to stay healthy by eating the right things and exercising.   I just received a letter from the state denying free coverage for my son, stating that my income is over the limit when we are financially struggling.  It comes to a point where I am feeling extremely exhausted as if I am drowning.  It feels like I just exist, and not living.

 

It is out of my character to ask people for money.  But at this point, I don’t have a choice but to put all pride aside and beg.  So, I am asking for help getting rid of my debts.  The best gift would be to pay off the house.  That would be a huge load lifted off my shoulders.
