There comes a point in time after the wild horses are strong armed into their stables, when the birds contained within their cages,  or the dogs confined to their leashes become beyond fed up with being poked with sticks/told where to sleep/denied the chance to recognize the value of their own majestically unique potential.  It is time to break through the stable.  It is time for the cage to be opened. It is definitely time to cut off the leash…that is where your generosity, as well as your faith in the fiercely passionate words of a stranger, will be the ultimate key to determining whether this particular lion will be granted the opportunity to rise resiliently through the ashes, rally through the fires of despair into redemption, to roar with focused conviction once again. 

Backstory: My family were a vibrant bunch of sassy, stubborn individuals with hearts as big as an ocean.  I was born into a rather elderly family; most of which passed away before I saw the age of 10. Grandfather was a high school principal and was, simply put, the sizzle to our steak. He passed away in 2011, then grandma in 2014. My dad was too busy living the bachelor life at the beach to show significant presence in my life,  therefore I mostly learned from observing grandpa as well as teaching myself most things. My mother lost her sister at the age of 15 in a tragic car accident, which then led to the driver, my aunts boyfriend, to taking a gun to his head and pulling the trigger. Needless to say mom grew up with untreated trauma. Later, she had my sister, who happens to be 9 years older than me with a different father.  In 1996 mom was in a severe car accident herself and in addition to the memory loss/head injuries, it turned her ankle completely around. Her health then relentlessly spiraled downward as she ended up getting cancer, where i was her primary caretaker for 11 years before she passed in 2019. My older sister was always making mom cry and talking down to her. Every step was criticized, every word was met with harsh analysis which became infuriating to witness.  After mom passed, her house went to me and grandparents house went to sister. Mom’s house was in rough shape and for years she kept pestering me to sell. Eventually I was forced to sell, that’s when she made her move… and I have been kicking myself every day for not just going my own way, implementing my own life plan with confidence.  She made a deal with me that she has since refused to honor. She said if i gave her the majority of what i make on the house she would give me my own room along with my own car(its been 2 1/2 years and neither have been delivered upon). I gave her over $40,000 and all I have to show for it is a sore back from sleeping on her unpleasant couch and headaches due to her undisciplined disrespectful young sons. I need a way out almost as much as I need air right now.  I have nobody to turn to and nowhere to go. I know I have more to offer and belong somewhere greater than where I am.

Presently speaking I’m 35, with countless humbling life experiences under my belt. Constructively it all has taught many difficult lessons. I intend to use those lessons to become someone of value, to help others who have also been dealt a bad hand in life’s often discouraging game of circumstance.

With the gift of your financial support holds a golden ticket to change my circumstances and not only become a fully functional, enthusiastic member of society, but an undeniable & productive force in the community.  I’m still young enough to do something remarkable and work hard for my accomplishments. Hi my name is Zeferino I’m the only son from my mom and dads relationship they were young. They move on dad married another so did mom one sister from dad then 4 from mom and 1 brother. Let me say why I’m posting because I’m currently working and I’m homeless my car was impounded doing food deliveries for not using a turn signal now I have no money to get it out wil be sold to impound or something else I have all my belongings in this vehicle has I use it to sleep also get to my day job and any extra side jobs delivering food etc. during the day I work 10 to 5pm most days after I work delivering food for extra money to try and make enough to pay for a hotel to sleep and shower better then a car. Cross eye surgery and cosmetic tattoo school I need to get my cross eye fixed and I need funds for starting at a cosmetic tattoo school so I can be financially independent. The reason for my eye surgery is because I used to be pretty before my right eye started to cross. My glasses were not pulling my eye forward and now it crosses inward. People treat me like I’m stupid and I get less opportunities to progress in life now. I also became very insecure over peoples reaction to my eye. Every time someone notices my eye, they look shocked and disgusted. I have gotten new glasses, but it still isn’t fixing my cross eye. I have been getting eye physical therapy to teach my right eye to work with my left eye. It doesn’t seem to be that effective and requires me to go to these appointments frequently. Let me start by saying hello, my name is Sandra. I am here asking for immediate help with getting my car back. Let me explain. So many life events hit my life all at once. I’m on a fixed income and I don’t have much of anything. Five months ago, my dad was terminally ill, and I traveled to see him with the little cash I had, and he passed away. During that same time, I had to resign my lease for my residence which was being increased at the beginning of the month which was a week and a half away. My funds were already very low, and I only got paid once a month. As each month approached, I had to decide after I paid the rent which took almost all of my funds each month, and with little left had to make hard decisions with the remainder of my funds what would and what would not get paid so I decide all my utilities would be next on my list of bills to get paid this took the last of my funds, that left my car note to be unpaid. I knew I would survive by going to the local food pantries to help with food and before my car was repossessed I doordash to get funds for all my household and personal items and gas money. I continuously worry about my car note and what I am going to do. I was unable to make payments on it two months in a row and now it’s a new month and all the same financial struggles are here again but this time I didn’t have time to even think straight about it I woke up got dressed and went to go to the food pantry but to my surprise, my car was not outside. I immediately contacted the loan company but because my remaining balance is considered low, they wanted the full remaining balance, plus repo fees, towing fees, storage fees, process fees, administrative fees plus taxes which all totals to be ($6652.24 six thousand six hundred fifty-two dollars and twenty-four cents). I only have till November 22, 2023, to get my car after this date it will be sent to auction. This has brought me here asking for help I don’t have much, and my car was one of the most important things I had to survive and now that it is gone things are very hard for me to make it through each day. I was doing okay financially for a long time as a Massage Therapist, I was working on 35+ clients a week, and although I wasn’t paid well by the standards of the work being performed (worked at a chain massage place where the client pays $100 for the hour and the therapist sees only 20% of that) I was making due.

Recently, the chain that I worked at lost the manager to health reasons and they brought in a new person who wanted to bring in her own crew of therapists.  Rules were being made that made no sense, but I kept going with it.  As a male therapist, I have a harder time booking clients.  So the addition of more male therapists started to clip into new clients I was able to continue building my clientele and filling my work schedule.  As I started to see my appointments start to dip lower than what I was used to, I decided to reach out in the area to see if I could pick up more work.  I found a small, private therapy office that was not in direct competition with the chain massage place I worked at and spoke to the owner, who was also a therapist, about picking up additional clients there.  He thought I was a good match and hired me for a lot more money than I was currently making.  Although the money was a lot better, and the new owner guaranteed he could get me fully booked as he had a plethora of clients, I balked at moving completely over.  I decided I would adjust my time at the chain place and add additional time to the new one, trying to make sure I got as many clients as possible.  I don’t like relying on others for my expenses and figured this would be the best of both worlds.  There were other therapists at the chain studio that did the same so I didn’t see any issues forthcoming.

I was only at the new place a week when I received an e-mail from the chain studio owner, a person I had worked for more than 6 years mind you, and with whom I had a cordial relationship, letting me go because I had taken a job with another studio that was not in direct competition with his.  At first, I thought this would be okay, the new studio had said he could fill my schedule, and as mentioned before, he was paying me nearly double what I was making before.

Well, it’s been 4 months now and he’s failed to fill one week with clients.  There are some days I have one or two, while rare days, though more frequently than before, I have none.  His studio is starting to fail, as he also has little to no clients on his table, and that guarantee is useless.  I have embarked on career training to leave the massage world and am in the midst of getting my data analytics certification, so I’m hoping that this nightmare is about to end.  I have never been so depressed about my financial matters since early in my Air Force days after getting married and my now ex-wife quitting her job and relying on my meager income to support us.

Currently, my situation is this, I live in a friend’s basement that I am building when there’s money for supplies.  My current wife lives in the Philippines and we are waiting, and have been waiting for two years now, for her to get a visa to come here.  During this ordeal, I now understand why there are so many illegals here because the legal way is ridiculous.  I am the only financial support for her and my two step-children and although she is trying to obtain employment, they take one look at her paperwork and see that she will be leaving soon and figure it’s not worth it.  So her financial hands are tied.  I send her all the money I can muster to pay bills and she stays at home, never really going out because she understands that money is tight.

I have loaned money from those predatory programs in hopes that my bookings would increase, and alas, they have not and now I’m juggling more bills than my meager income can support.  I like to think there is a light at the end of the tunnel and my pursuit of data analytics will be fruitful, but there is a lot of competition out there and my age doesn’t help me in that regard.  My family cannot help me, I’ve asked, and I cannot further burden the friend that I live with, so I am seeking out help from anyone at this point.  Anything helps, as I will use it to help my family survive until I can get my feet back under me.  Thank you for taking the time to read all of this, there is plenty more to the story and I take full responsibility for my current situation.  I keep thinking I would be okay right now if I didn’t look elsewhere for employment, the job was hard, but at least I had work.
