- On September a family of four lost everything we owned, what we were able to salvage was stolen out of the U-Haul the very next night even our doorbell was stolen. We are so heartbroken that people could do this to a family that just about lost everything they owned and almost our lives that morning.. Red Cross which we have donated thousands too over the years gave us 280 dollars. Also heartbreaking.. We have four dogs, 2 cats, and a bird “all rescues” and no where to go. We had a at home business for 16 years that is gone now that our house is. We thought we were covered with our insurance, we were wrong :-(. Alstate should be ashamed of them selves.. 16 year policy denied.. Any help would be greatly appreciative, thank you! We lived 3.1 miles from the fire station but it took them 20 min to show up, also heartbreaking :-(
