Help a girl catch a break – Seeks stability amidst (health) struggles.

It’s hard to believe when I say I’m not in the business of victimising myself, when I’m asking for money from strangers, but I’m really not. But, truth be told, I’m desperate and weary of battling my astrological 2H chiron, as the stargazers might say.

Life has presented its fair share of hurdles for me. Born as a sickly epileptic child in a country grappling with an insecure healthcare system, I faced adversity from the outset. Despite these obstacles, I defied expectations and successfully obtained a master’s degree through unwavering determination and hard work. From an early age, I embraced a strong work ethic, dedicating myself to various pursuits.I’m a survivor, and hope someone here helps me to keep surviving as I have done for the past ~25 years.

Now, health’s thrown a curveball at me – got hit with endometriosis and fibromyalgia diagnoses six months ago after nearly a decade of grappling with debilitating pain. Tried to soldier on as a Healthcare Assistant, but eventually, I had to throw in the towel. Pushed myself to the limit, but had to accept that it was time to step back completely.

Not to sound too Earl Hicky, but here I am, residing in a homeless hostel, managing with pot noodles and eggs boiled in a kettle. I’m grateful, as I know there are others facing even greater challenges. I understand the difficulties many are dealing with in the current times. Nonetheless, any amount of support would make a profound impact and be received with genuine gratitude. Hopefully, I can pay it forward in the near future.

Single going through hardship

Hello,

I would first like to start off by saying thank you to anyone who provides any assistance and reads my cry for help.

I am a single Mum with 10 years old boy. My son’s biological father left me 7 months pregnant and  refused to even meet or know anything about his son. I never haven’t received any financial help or support from him, rising my boy. I was a mum and dad for my little boy since he was born. When my son was 4 I met one man and after a while I let him in our world. After a couple of years he started abusing me till one day he beated me up in front of my son and checked us out in the street the way we were standing. I was so afraid of him at that time that didn’t press any charges against him and later was too late. Social services (police contacted them) helped us by finding a temporary accommodation where to live. After 9 months we have got a bungalow from Housing Association. Starting from this point, since we lost everything we had, also a job at that time, I hade to make a fresh start for my son, for us. I took a credit to help us to get the main things. Started working 16h a week now, but all I can afford are main bills and food for my son. I am driving an old 2004 year car (the only one I could afford cheapest just to help to get me to work), which is now breaking down and according to the mechanic is not fixable (he said I need a new car as I am driving daily at my own risk). I simply can not afford the new car. All the previous debts, which in total are nearly £8000, car issues, son is need of a laptop (he needs to do homework on it twice a week) is killing me. I am a hard working, but due this incident I have back issues myself and stress, on the top I am still taking my son to the doctors as he has got tinnitus (caused by stress my ex caused) that made me ill. I don’t know how to pay all my debts off, get back on my own feet again and help my son, so he wouldn’t be stressing, would get better with his illness, and wouldn’t stay behind with his learning. And he loves school and learning. I am so stressed so please do excuse my grammar mistakes.

Please, help me and thank you for hearing my situation and for any assistance.

Risk of eviction, ending up in dept paypal.me/llmurage

My partner and me are becoming risk of eviction

He is trying to work as many hours but they have been capped by the company he works in. I have struggled with PTSD and depression so I’m working limited hours for years and we are both trying to have a good income. However around a few months ago he lost most of his shifts due to more recruitment and we had no choice but to take out credit card loans. Family are abroad and unable to help but the debts we’re in are very straining and we are now at risk of eviction because of accumulated rent arrears. We are barely surviving.

I’m now getting worse with all the changes which affecting me at work, I’m worried that I might not be able to continue working at some point.

we just need help for the next few months so we can get back on our feet again.

we are in need of £9000 to help with the dept and rent for the next few months, so we can get back on our feet again.

This would be very life changing and we have been praying for miracle

we have exhausted everything else and even owe people money

I was told about this site and I’m just giving it a shot for me and my partner

Much appreciated

Family reunion

My name is Love, I am a wife and mother of two lovely girls.

I am currently on a health and care worker visa and I work as a Healthcare support worker in the United Kingdom where I support vulnerable adults and young adults to maximize their full potential and make every day of their lives count.

I have been separated from my young family for a year now and it is getting to everyone. Fortunately, I have been able to secure visas for my family for them to join me, however, I have been unable to raise money for the flight ticket to bring them from my home country Nigeria to the United Kingdom which will cost about £ 3150.

They have 90 days from the date their visa was granted to enter the UK and we have about 40 days left.

Based on this, I am humbly and passionately begging well-meaning individuals and Philanthropists to help me bring my family over to join me.

This is important to me because I left my second daughter when she was just some months old and I wish to unite with them again so that I can play my role as a mother in their lives hoping that my partner will support me as we work to raise our family together.

God bless you as you support this course.

Single Mum and Widow With Autistic Daughter Seeking Urgent Rent Assistance & New Home

Dear Generous Donor,

I am requesting personal financial assistance for myself and my Autistic daughter to find a new home. I am 65-year-old mother and widow living alone with my daughter who is 30 years old with Medium Learning Disability Autism. We desperately need your help to secure suitable rental accommodation and private Carers to help me and my daughter through our current health issues and financial hardship.

In early December 2023, my landlord gave us two months’ notice to vacate the house by 14 February 2024 because he must quickly sell the property for personal family reasons. This is a very emotional time for me and my daughter, especially with me facing serious health and financial hardships.

We currently live in a semi-detached house on a busy street. When my Autistic daughter screams during the night, her noise disturbs our neighbours from sleeping and they ask me to stop her from making noise and to do something to make her calm down, which is impossible to do. We need a large house of our own, preferably a DETACHED HOUSE with 8 bedrooms or more and 3 small cottages extensions attached to the main house for health care professionals looking after my daughter and I during the day and night.

In 2019, I developed an ulcer on my right ankle. After 2 months, it healed up but I developed another ulcer on my left ankle. Since 2019 this ulcer has not healed, and I am very worried about my health and inability to work and earn enough money for my daughter and me. I have not worked since 2022 as I have no strength to carry on working like I used to because both my legs are now very painful and weak to walk and stand for long period of time.

My main concern that keeps me up all night is how I am going to secure the funds to rent a safe and comfortable home for my daughter and I BEFORE the DEADLINE day, 14 February 2024.

My daughter and I desperately need your help to raise $108,000 for moving out expenses and to rent a new house, pay electricity, gas, water, internet and phone bills for the next 12 months. Every donation amount will greatly help my Autistic daughter and me. Please kindly send your generous donations to:

Thank you in advance.

Warmest regards,

Regina and Koshie

AN URGENT PLEA TO HELP COMPLETE MY TUITION FEES

Dear Considerate Donor,

Good evening.

I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to ask for assistance in completing my tuition fee and also upkeep for me and my children while I study. I came into the United Kingdom in August 2023 to study for my postgraduate in hope that when I return to my country, I will find a better job that will enable me to be financial stable enough to take care of my children and aged parents.

Not only do I want to be financially stable, but I also want to make a global impact in my selected field of study which I have so much passion for. My journey to keep acquiring knowledge has been very interesting and rewarding though tough. Every bit of the way has been struggles, paying fees, registering for courses and certification, all while still trying to survive has really taken a toll on me all these years.

I have never imagined this is something I would be doing, but as I sit to write this note, I know now, that I am left with no choice at all. Though desperate, I am hopeful that something positive will come out of this plea.

I was so happy when I gained admission to come and study in the UK at the Henley Business School studying International Human Resource Management, I thought to myself “This is yet another opportunity for me to increase my knowledge and add value to the world” but that happiness was almost immediately replaced with a deep sense of sadness thinking about how to raise funds. Thankfully, good and generous relatives helped from the little they had, and I was able to pay almost half of the tuition plus flight ticket and accommodation for a short while.

Since I arrived, I have looked for work with no luck, and right now it is really getting tight. The balance of my tuition is due, and upkeep completely depleted. It is so hard focusing as I spend all my time looking for jobs everywhere just to sustain us (me and the children).

I am reaching out here for help. Help to complete my tuition fees and help for upkeep to sustain myself and the children for the duration of my study. My children are looking up to me, my aged parents as well, I do not want to fail them.

So, I am humbly begging:

  1. Help my complete the balance of my tuition fee – 11, ooo GBP.
  2. Assist with financial upkeep for basics like groceries, rent and bills pending when I get work.

I know there are a lot of people in my situation or even worse that are in need, but any assistance I receive here will change my life and the lives of those that are looking up to me (my children, aged parents and the world at large).

I really appreciate you reading my note.

DROWNING IN DEBT

Hi All,

My name is Joy, a single mother of two boys. I Started working as a carer from the age of 21 years. The reason I choose the job is because; I am passionate about caring for others and also knew it would give me flexibility to care for my children.

At the beginning of last year, I was assisting an elderly lady and in the process hurt my back saving her from falling. Things have not been the same since as I am on constant pain and unable to work.

I have fallen behind with my mortgage and most of bills. The mortgage payment was previously £500 but now gone up £1200. I have an arrears of 6 months.

I have decided to change careers and start fostering mother and child through a government scheme. I believe I have the knowledge and skills to guide young mothers to be able to stand on their feet.

I have been informed in order to do this I have to clear all my debts and also do some home improvement.

I would like raise around £50000 to clear the debts, replace the roof and windows.

Thank you for taking time to read this letter and your donations.

SIWYL Helping African and Caribbean youth Cycling

We understand the financial challenges that children face when it comes to participating in sports. As an Ex Professional cyclist who had to overcome numerous obstacles to reach the level I achieved, I am acutely aware of the financial burdens that young athletes bear. From travel expenses to entry fees, accommodation, and equipment costs, these barriers can prevent talented kids from pursuing their passion for sports.
To address this issue, our organization is committed to providing comprehensive support to children who join our program. We aim to remove the financial burdens and ensure that no child is left behind due to economic constraints. We will begin by offering all the necessary resources, including bikes, cycling gear, and essential equipment, to the kids who have the opportunity to be a part of our program.
To kickstart this initiative, SIWYL (Say It With Your Legs) Media will play a pivotal role. As an experienced media outlet, we have plans to generate the initial funding needed to establish and equip our sports academy over the next 18-24 months. With my expertise as a journalist and a focus on bringing diversity to the forefront, our media coverage will attract subscribers and generate revenue. By attending and covering major pro cycling races, we will not only increase our viewership but also showcase the representation of riders underservered in the sport.
This strategic approach serves two purposes. Firstly, it generates revenue that will cover a significant portion of the costs associated with sports participation, including travel expenses, entry fees, accommodation, and equipment. Secondly, it creates a platform for sponsorship opportunities and partnerships to further support our efforts in reducing financial barriers.
Through strategic collaborations, we will seek out sponsors who share our vision of inclusivity and diversity in sports. These partnerships will not only provide financial support but also promote the importance of equal access to sports for underprivileged children. Together, we can eliminate financial obstacles and create a more inclusive sports community.
Furthermore, we will establish scholarship programs to ensure that promising young athletes, regardless of their background, have the opportunity to participate in our academy. By supporting their training, equipment, and competition expenses, we will enable them to focus on their athletic development without the financial burden.
Measuring the impact of our initiatives is crucial. We will continuously track participation rates of children from disadvantaged backgrounds in our academy and monitor their progress and achievements, not only in sports but also in their personal and academic endeavors. By analyzing these metrics, we will assess the effectiveness of our financial support programs and make necessary adjustments to maximize their impact.
Reducing financial barriers to sports participation is not just a matter of social responsibility; it is an investment in the physical and mental well-being of our youth. By promoting equal access to sports, we instill valuable life skills and create opportunities for personal growth. By joining forces with corporate stakeholders who share our commitment, we can achieve tangible results and empower more children to pursue their athletic dreams.
So far I have been able to raise £120 ram a long way from goal 0f £15000-£20000

I need help

Hello,

I would first like to start off by saying thank you to anyone who provides any assistance and reads my cry for help.

I’m a single father who has a shared custody of two kids from my ex.

I recently lost my job due to failing to renew my resident permit in time, and this left me in a areas of rent with bills to pay and kids to look after. This Christmas was dry for the kids as I have no money to buy them gifts. Also, I have to borrow money from friends and sometimes sell some of my items for cash. I am behind 3 months on my rent and am now on the edge of facing eviction with a balance of £5400.00. Everything just happened so fast and this is the lowest I have ever been and felt. Between grieving, having two kids to stay strong for and take care of, facing eviction, bills, and it’s has been so so so hard. Please please please help and thank you for hearing my situation and for any assistance.

Desperate for family reunion

Hello, my name is Phiona, 36 years and a mother of 4 children. A few months ago, I and my husband relocated to UK.

My husband got a scholarship in the UK to upgrade his studies as he always desired however, the scholarship was not to facilitate his relocation.

So, because we didn’t have much, we decided to sell our home, the only property we had to fulfill his heart’s desire. We also decided that I move along with him and try to get better employment in the UK and also be able to support our young family.

We decided that we leave our children with my husband’s big sister in the meantime as I make ends meet to collect them for a reunion in the UK.

But to be honest I don’t see that happening soon unless we get an extra hand, my husband and I are trying to save 32,000 pounds to reunite with our children but life is becoming harder and harder every single day. For we have to take care of ourselves, pay high bills and also pay house rate for the children since they had to relocate to a rented house after selling off our house and also facilitate their wellbeing.

As a mother am going through a depression, for I left behind a one-year-old child (last born) whom I don’t know when I will ever see again. I just can’t sleep well, eat well because my heart is always yearning for my children.

Recently I called home to check on how they were doing and our oldest son asked me in a sorrowful voice, ‘‘mummy when exactly are you coming back and we see you?’’ this broke my heart because I didn’t have the best answer to give him well knowing that things where just not ok.

Christmas is here again and its so heart breaking for me that as a family we won’t be having a meal together. As families all over the world will be celebrating, eating and laughing together ours will be in misery.

It’s my humble prayer/ request that as it is a giving season you will bless my house hold with whatever you have so that my family to will reunite sooner than I could ever imagine.

May God bless and increase you as you support us. Thank you.

You can send the financial support on my paypal.me/kamusiim

Help for a new beginning

Hi, my name is Gabriela, I’m 27. I live in UK for over 4 years now and I’ve never been in a situation like this before in my life. UK changed very much since Brexit and it took me by surprise..Cost of living increased a lot, everything changed after COVID and I found myself in a situation from where it seems that I can’t get out. I got myself in debt since my ex relationship, I have some credit cards that I need to pay off, but I just can’t seem to manage to do it!! The interest is throwing me off everytime and it just seems like it drags out over and over. I tried to apply for a loan to consolidate all my debt in one, but I literally get declined for any..I am in a neverending situation and pressured by my family situation in Romania, they almost constantly need financial support..I can’t seem to find the end of it 💔

If anyone is willing to help me get a fresh start, here is my PayPal and I must say I am grateful for any support I get!! 🫶🏻
