NEED HELP TO PAY RENT AFTER 2 SETS OF FUNERAL EXPENSES

Hello to the wonderful people in our community,

I recently lost two of my family members dearest to me – my mother-in-law who lived with my partner and I, who I had grown very close to.. and my grandmother, also very dear to my heart.  As we did our best to honour their final wishes it costed us $20,000. to take my mother-in-law back to her home country for her final funeral rites. This included international transportation, holding in funeral homes, proper permissions/paperwork and coordination across borders, other funeral costs and flights. In addition, attending my grandmother’s funeral required funeral and flight costs too – a process that stretched over a month into two months. Two months away from our jobs and dipping into our savings.

We exhausted our savings to cover these sudden expenses and are now two months behind on rent – $4,000. We have been trying to work out a repayment plan with our landlord but that is not an option. It would be near impossible to move as we don’t have first and last month’s rent much less a deposit to put on any new place.

We’ve just recently started working again and are doing everything we can to get back on our feet. A friend of mine suggested this site and I thought well why not give it a try. We are kindly asking for support as any contribution would go a long way to offset the costs we incurred but most importantly to catch up on rent and stabilize our living situation while we continue rebuilding.

Daughters birthday gift

Hello I’m a mother to a daughter who will be turning ten this year. She’s a very good kid, kind to others cleans up after her self and helps when she can. As she gets older she asks for more expensive gifts considering she’s not into dolls and toys anymore it’s understandable. This year she asked if she can have her birthday at a parkour place this year. It’s 350 for the birthday package there but that’s not what I’m asking for. I’m asking for 600$ so I’ll be able to get her a VR headset for her 10th birthday it’s a big number this year so I want it to be special. I can’t afford both the destination she wants and the gift I would like her to give her. She didn’t ask for a VR for her birthday she just asked for the location. However she does want a vr because her cousin has one and let her play on it, she really enjoyed the game gorilla tag, and loves to watch streamers play it online. I think it would be a perfect gift for her. She loves her video games and when she gets older wants to be a streamer. The VR is a good way for her to play games while also being active(she was sweating when she played her cousins) so it’s better than a console or a gaming computer.

I would be so grateful for anyone to send me some money to help with this birthday gift. She’s very special to me and my only child. I’m a cook at a restaurant so I don’t make much but I do my best to support her and myself. Even though I do my best doesn’t mean I can afford everything I want for her. Her father and I split up when she was very young and he does not work right now so I can’t ask him for help. Usually for big gifts the past few years we have split the amount for big gifts but since he’s not working right now he’s unable to help. Like I said she’s a very great kid she’s smart crafty and loves to game. I’m going blind and I’m only 40

I never in my life have asked for a dime from anyone I pride myself in being very independent but right now it’s imperative that I swallow my pride and ask for help. I’m 40 years old with 2 children and I’m about to go blind if I don’t have an eye transplant in both eyes and my time is limited. Here’s my situation, growing up I had a horrible life I got kicked out at 15 and from than on my life just got worse, I’ve been in alot of bad situations that I couldn’t control, my life had no meaning I was homeless and hungry alot so at the age of 18 I decided to become a stripper and all hell broke loose. I decided to try cocaine so I don’t feel the shame of getting naked in front of people and with my good luck I have in life I encountered a bad trip that made me rip out the skin out of my eyes this went on for 13 years I just couldn’t stop in those 13 years I’ve had 2 children that aren’t with me anymore because I screwed up bad. I regret it everyday of my life, but regret doesn’t get back what I lost including my eye sight. I’ve been sober and surviving barely in life for 6 years now but it’s too late for my eyes, if I don’t get an emergency eye transplant in both eyes I will go blind. I know I did this to myself I wish I could change things but I can’t, for the past 16 years when I first birth to my daughter than my son 4 years later all I’ve been waiting for is for them to turn 18 so I can finally see them and explain what happened but my vision is so bad without this transplant I will not be able to see how great my children look and how good they are doing. I’ve never asked for anything but I really am dying to see my children and the sunrise and the sunset,  but I can’t afford it, to be honest I can barely afford to eat but I’d rather starve so I can see. I’m begging someone anyone please help me out I prey to God every night for strength and help now I’m asking for your help so I don’t go blind, if I go blind my life will have no meaning. The transplant cost is $27000 per eye if it’s not a complicated procedure my eyes are so bad that if I were to get lazer eye surgery I would go blind it’s that delicate. All together I would need at least $75000 for the procedure and than the medications and hospital stay. I have no coverage for anything so I’m completely useless. Raising my own grandbabies.

Hello there. I don’t know if it was by chance or a sign that I just happened to come across this site so I am now relying on the kindness of strangers. I am a single 47 year old woman who has 6 daughters and a son that tragically passed away last year on January 26. He was born August 26, 1996. If anyone knows the loss of a child you know the pain and struggle it carries. I do however have 5 grandkids that are the light in my life when the world gets dark. A set of twin girls, Amari and Ember, not identical so easy to tell them apart that just turned 4 in April. Alazanna who just turned 4 in May. Rozair, the only boy, who is a St.Patty’s day baby and his baby sister, Zaria, who just turned 1 in April also. I raised Alazanna since the day she was born and have been keeping the twins for about a year a half now. Their Mom’s basically abandoned them in my care with no help from them whatsoever. They stop by and visit sometimes when they want food or money I don’t have. I’m sure you know what I’m talking about. My daughter with the two youngest stays with me because she’s also my babysitter since I could never afford daycare. I tried getting help for the older one’s but because my name is not on their birth certificate and I have no written statement or other kind of form from their mother’s I can’t apply for any funding for them. We basically live paycheck to paycheck. I work in a fast paced job that keeps me on my feet all day. We have no vehicle so I walk to work everyday. I’m still trying  to pay bills from January. Just covering enough to not have our power or heat cut off. I now pay $1775 a month and that does not include utilities. My daughter helps out to but we just barely get by every month. The cost of food and clothing for ever growing kids is also a struggle. I would like just one good day…no, one great day where I could take us all out and not have to worry about rent, utilities, food, work or my depression kicking in. I know my mental health needs some attending to but my main focus is the kids and making sure they have a roof over their heads and food in their bellies. It’s not their fault after all. I’ve been diagnosed with rapidly growing fibroids and a severe endometriosis tumor in my uterus. The pain is constant, unbearable, and getting worse with each passing day. My stomach is always bloated and swollen. The cramps feel like knives twisting inside me. I’m exhausted all the time, struggling to stand or walk, barely able to sleep, and I often cry myself through the day. It has taken over my life.

I am a single mom of a beautiful 18 year old girl. Its been just her and me since she was 9 months old when her father walked out on us and never looked back. The fact that we have made it here is an amazing accomplishment for us. There were many times I wasn’t sure we were going to make it. I’ve worked up to 4 jobs at once to try to make a life for us. I’ve done everything I possibly can for her. Last year in 2023 when she graduated high school I was overwhelmed with joy. The accomplishments we have made and the obstacles we have overcome to reach this point is crazy to think about. So now here we are and she wants to go to college for professional filmmaking. She is super talented in that department. She has won medals in our province here in Canada for her talents. I am so incredibly proud of her and the person she has become. She is not your typical teenager. She doesn’t drink or do drugs. She does not like to party. She has been working full time since graduation trying to make enough to fund her education. I have been doing the same. Stressing about how I can make this work. At this point I am desperate. Which has led me to writing this story. This girl deserves to be able to follow her dreams. I want more for her than having to work 4 jobs to make a life for herself. With the way Canada is going I’m not sure she has any hope to ever own her own home and live comfortably. We are going to be applying for a student loan but I don’t want her thousands of dollars in debt to do so. I am hoping for any little bit of help to get her through this program.
