My Name is saul jamwa.
I am here to ask for assistance for the challenge I have encountered since 2022.
In the year 2022, I got into an accident which interrupted with my finances.
At that time I was pledged to marry my beautiful wife..
Just after the accident, I married my wife because I knew it could give me a little strength, but even after
marriage, I still undergo severe migraine headaches and it was non stop.
I was unable to work or do anything.
I ended up having bills after bills waiting for me.
I even finished all my savings because even the insurance were taking forever to help me with the
situation.
The sad thing I was even unable to do sponsorship because my wife is not from Canada and Colombia
where she is from, it is not easy process.
With all the situation, I had my severe sick mum who has been ailing for a long time, at that time, she
was in the hospital very sick from heart problem and she is using oxygen at the same time and on my
side I was told I had epilepsy due to many episodes of seizures I have been having. And what they told
causes seizures is stress
So dealing with my sick mum, my health deteriorated a lot to the point I have been having seizures, and
at the same time migraine attacks.
And it has not been easy because I didn’t have anyone to help me with the situation even until now
The situation grew just worse and worse and I have been having debt after debt because I couldn’t even
declare unemployment because that will destroy the process of sponsorship with my wife.
The debt it has been a lot and a lot.
Late this year my mom’s lungs stopped working, it was at a time I was trying to work regardless of my
health situation for I a the bride winner of my family in Colombia, Kenya and mum here in Canada. I was
called that mum stopped breathing because her lungs failed..
It has not been easy, process, no money no one to run to and the debt is a lot that you fear that it may
destroy my life completely .at the same time no even food to eat.
This destroyed even my credit score, I have been unable even to pay my bills and I had to commute
everyday from Toronto to Peterborough because mum has been in ICU under the support of ventilation.
She had to stay in ventilation for almost 3 weeks and the doctor said she cannot live by herself, so they
had to give me a letter to bring my aunt from Kenya which I had to create more debt.
As we talk my baby was born on 25th October I was unable to go because of mum condition. Please my situation is very serious if you can please help me with anything POSSIBLE to pay all my debtsand to establish my business that will help me to support my wife, family and mum
Mum she’s unable to work she is very weak, we have no money, I had to asked for money to help me
with my ticket to Colombia to go and sign baby’so birth certificate.
I don’t know how everything will look like.
Your help will enable me to stand up back on my feet and reduce stress which causes seizures and will be
able to help me support my wife.
It Is a lot of debt am having that I feel sad to mention.
As we speak I have nothing in my name and debt is increasing and my baby is born my health situation is
at hand and mum still needs full support financially from me and I don’t have any where to go for help.
Please help me out with anything
Am very sorry for the inconvenience it may bring to you
Thank you for your help

Struggling to provide for my daughters and I
hi! I have recently face some hardship, and I have exhausted all options. I recently started training for a job after being a stay at home mom for nearly 7 years and unfortunately the training is unpaid, we do receive an incentive of $500 after 3 months. Since I am still in training I do not receive any income from this, it will be a few weeks until then. I had to pay out of pocket for certificates, upgrading license, driving tests etc for this job and it has put me behind so much. It will help me in the end but I don’t know how I will financially survive this until then. I am struggling to keep up with my mortgage, that has increased due to the current rates. My car’s front end is in need of being fixed and two tires need to be replaced. I live up north where the weather is unforgiving until April. Therefore my car is not drivable, as I do not feel safe doing so especially with my small children. I have no family near by. I’m so close to having to foreclose on my home. I am dreading Christmas this year, I just want to be able to give my girls a few gifts.
If you have read this far, thank you for reading my story.
If you are able to donate, I will have a huge weight lifted off of my shoulders.
I will find a way to pay it forward. Hopefully one day I will be in a comfortable position financially where I can help someone.

Medical Bills & Living Expenses
I sustained a serious injury in 2019 when heavy boxes fell on my head while at work. Unfortunately, the injury did not heal as it should have, resulting in a prolonged period of severe concussion lasting over a year. The impact of this accident extended beyond my head, affecting my neck, spine, shoulders, and back, resulting in chronic pain and discomfort. Moreover, I experienced memory loss and significant cognitive impairment due to brain trauma.
This incident occurred in my workplace, and regrettably, the necessary first aid was not administered promptly, which likely contributed to the extended recovery period.
Furthermore, my workplace showed no willingness to take responsibility for the accident, and the workers’ compensation process was rushed to dismiss my case. I was left with the difficult decision of pursuing a lawsuit, but the financial burden and concerns about my immigration status prevented me from doing so.
The repercussions of this accident have persisted, and I have recently learned that the injury has shifted downwards, affecting additional parts of my body, including my leg.
Despite these severe injuries and the immense challenges they’ve presented, I persevered in trying to work. As an immigrant without family support in my adopted country, I felt a deep responsibility to sustain myself and manage my medical expenses. However, my condition has worsened, and I am no longer able to work, even from home. I’m currently grappling with debilitating symptoms, including dizziness and impaired vision. Unfortunately, I can’t afford the medical bills and accumulated debt, which prevents me from seeking proper diagnosis and treatment.
My situation has become dire; in addition to my health issues, I’ve lost my immigration status. While I await restoration of my status, I do not have access to government subsidies or assistance. The financial strain is taking a toll, and I am on the verge of homelessness despite the assistance I’ve received from kind-hearted individuals. While I am deeply grateful for their help, I require more substantial support.
I urgently need funds to cover my back and leg treatment, including a necessary surgery. Furthermore, I require financial assistance for basic living expenses as I work to regain my health, as well as funds for diagnosing and treating the issues with my eyes and brain.
In my current desperate situation, I would be immensely grateful for any amount of support, as every contribution, no matter how small, can help me in some way, whether it’s to pay for essential utilities or contribute to my medical bills. My immediate goal is to secure $25,000, which would cover my medical expenses and basic living costs for the next few months. While this amount may not cover the entirety of my treatment, I firmly believe that once the root cause of my dizziness is identified and treated, I will be able to work and gradually cover the remaining costs.
I humbly request your assistance and generosity during this trying time. Your contributions can make a significant difference in my life, allowing me to access the necessary medical care and support to regain my health and stability. May you be blessed, and I hope that you never experience such hardship. Thank you for considering my plea for help.

Help a single mom with a 6 year old with mental health issues
Hello,
I have been raising my daughter alone for the past few years. Her dad continues to promise to pay but hasn’t held a job more than a week since I left him. I haven’t talked to him in months as he is narcissistic and abusive and adds no value to her life. Since she’s been in school she hasn’t had the best time. She has trouble with outbursts and anger, trouble regulating and concentrating. It is been nearly impossible since covid to get her any help. She sees a psychologist 3 hours away from where we live that costs $220 a session, and the only place I can find to get her assessed is a private practice and it will cost over $3000. My benefits cover $500 a year for all of that. My grandpa has cut me off for no apparent reason when I only ever asked him for money to help with that. I am drowning in debt now and if it continues like this we will likely lose our house and everything else. I believe she has some form of bipolar and possibly childhood depression. I would like to get her the help she needs sooner rather than later, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Bringing Joy to Seniors: Acquiring Sync Licenses for “hencetheoutfit – the Seniors Show”
Dear Supporters,
I am reaching out to you with a heartfelt request to help me complete a project that is close to my heart, and I believe it’s my life’s work. It’s called – “hencetheoutfit – the Seniors Show – Joke, Jacket, Song, repeat if necessary – Sewing My Way to the Top.”
This DVD is designed to bring joy, entertainment, and a sense of belonging to seniors around the world and is the video representation of my award winning Seniors Show honed over 13 years of live performances. However, I’ve hit a roadblock that requires your support. I am embarrassed by this, but I HAVE to help the Seniors by Christmas.
The DVD project is, in fact, complete and ready to go, and it looks just awesome. Music and laughs, stories and songs, lights, mirror balls and bubble machines and glittering jackets, – hell, even angel wings and antlers!! It’s the result of countless hours poured into crafting a unique and uplifting experience for seniors. The content is carefully curated, designed to spark nostalgia, laughter, and cherished memories – plus swingin’ tunes and with each song increasingly awesome jackets! It’s awesome, trust me on that, I’ve been an entertainer for 35 years and I know what I’m doing.
The music selected plays a crucial role in creating the perfect atmosphere, but here lies the challenge – acquiring SYNC PUBLISHING LICENSES to put copyright old music in film or video.
Securing these licenses has proven to be an arduous and expensive process – brutal! The music industry demands a fair compensation for the use of their compositions, and rightfully so. However, for an independent project like mine, the financial burden is pretty overwhelming.
The biggest mountain comes 6 inches from the finish line – SYNC LICENSE MOUNTAIN. The DVD manufacturer’s cannot legally print the DVD’s without the proper licenses so I am present, dead in the water. This project deserves it’s honour, it deserves it’s integrity. As far as I know it is the first and only entertainment DVD specifically for Seniors ever. I simply MUST obtain the necessary licenses legally, which requires a substantial investment.
Initially, I set out to fund this project from my own savings, driven by a deep passion for providing seniors with a source of joy and companionship. Unfortunately, the costs have far exceeded my limits, and I have reached a point where I can no longer continue without your generous assistance.
The $1680.00 I aim to raise will be allocated exclusively towards acquiring the sync licenses – manufacturing the DVDs and creating a website I will pay for myself somehow. Every contribution, no matter the size, brings me one step closer to realizing this dream. Nothing will stop me. I WILL make this happen. I WILL help the Old Folks.
By supporting “hencetheoutfit – the Seniors Show,” you are not only helping to overcome this financial hurdle, but you are also becoming a crucial part of a movement that seeks to bring happiness to seniors who may be feeling isolated or in need of a little extra sunshine in their lives. This will do it.
The last 4 years has seen an attack on Seniors like never before in human history. Millions have fallen. Each day we see more and more cruelty inflicted on those who can least protect themselves – from targeted physical abuse to online scammers. If it’s selfish of me that this DVD project will be all that’s left of me in the end then so be it. At least I tried to be remembered for creating something good. At 63 years old I have no children and I never married.
I hope beyond hope that there are people who could find it in themselves to come together as a community to help spread hope, love, and joy to seniors everywhere. Your contribution will not only fund a project, but it will touch the lives of countless individuals who deserve to experience the warmth of “hencetheoutfit – the Seniors Show – Joke, Jacket, Song, repeat if necessary – Sewing My Way to the Top.”
Thank you for considering my project, and for potentially being a beacon of light in the lives of seniors around the world.

My wish at a second chance in life
My name is Kevin, I am reaching out in what seems like the lowest point I have been in for quite some time.
Before going any further. I want you to know that if you only have a little bit to give or would rather give the money to someone who actually has an emergency or unfortunate event. Please stop reading and give it to them. This is my cry for help, however that does not mean I have given up. I will work on myself and work to get myself out of this situation eventually. If you do have extra. Every little bit helps. I thank you with everything in me.
I am 22 having experienced quite a bit. I started working at a young age and moved out in my teens. I don’t mind the work and helping those I can when available. But I feel like me being that way is what led me to this point. In hindsight, I should’ve made sure I was in a position to help first. A few years back in my teens. I worked hard but having moved out. It was pretty hard keeping up with all the bills. To the point that had to go into debt, considering how young I was with no help or co-signer. Interest was just killing me back then. They eventually had to repo my car at the time because I could not keep up with the bills. Up until now I still have money owing on that car.
Just a little under two years ago, I met my currently ex-girlfriend. Since I had destroyed my credit and still had outstanding debt. We decided I would help build her decent credit and pay off her debt first so that we would be able to put everything under her name. Especially since we both moved to a new city with no family or friends. At the time, money was not really my biggest concern. I did not mind helping her and working all the time. The entire time we were together I would keep 50-100 dollars just for spending every month as she was the one budgeting all the bills and expenses due to all of it being under her name. We were sharing a car that she had financed even before we had met.
About 6 months ago we broke up. We were both civil and still living together and sharing a car. Now as I already know most people would tell me off. Up until now I am still helping her pay off all her debt. Although we are now broken up. I had said I would help her as long as we’re under the same roof. Now I am not saying I’m perfect, however as much as I can, wether it be to people I am close with or just people I meet. I try to keep my word. No matter what it takes. And I take full responsibility. The problem I am running across is now she is meeting up with someone and she used to pick me up and drop me off at work. I don’t mind even though most of the time I either get dropped off 3-4 hours before my shift starts or wait 3-4 hours after my shift ends to get picked up. As much as we tried. We never got the same work hours. The issue is now she is taking advantage of me helping her pay for all the bills and helping her with most of her debt. Recently she would stay the night there and just never come back in the morning to drop me off or leave right after her shift even though I finish work later. All without heads up. There has been cases where I have needed to call in saying I will be a couple hours late due to the fact I needed to walk or wait for a co—worker to finish his shift and pick me up afterwards then walk back a couple hours.
I’m not much of a social type and all this time I have just been working and going home. Having no spare money does not help with that. But with her going out all the time. I never have the car so I am always stuck at home.
The reason I am here is because I would like a fresh start. She said she would move out once I have a car so now that is all I need. However I need to figure out my debt first before then so that I can start off clean. Without worry that they would come after my possessions after I finally put something under my name. I have been trying but with me still helping her, and paying most of the bills, it’s making it impossible for me to save up for a car especially since I get no help or even consideration from her. I have given her 10-20 thousand dollars for her to clean up her debt over the years. I have recently asked for it back since she no longer gives me consideration. At least help me get a car so I no longer have to ask her. It has been a few weeks and she has not made a move or said a word to either pay it back or help get something figured out for me.
I am not the type to want anything fancy. My wish is just a decent car, a decent place, a decent work life balance so that I can also just go out when I actually need to and just relax. With my situation now, always working and going straight home. I am losing a fighting battle against my mental health. As much as I hate to admit it anyway. Sure do I want a super nice car. Yes. I want it just as much as the next 22 year old. But I’ve been living alone and know enough about the world that I don’t need it and probably would not be able to get it anytime soon if I ever do with my situation. Besides. I’ve had to make a lot of sacrifices throughout my life. My wants or dreams are nothing. I just want to focus on my needs and start fresh. I just want to have help in getting myself even and my biggest obstacles right now taken care of so that I can actually feel all the work and fight I am putting in going forward is going somewhere. Or at least making me feel closer to my end goal. Right now I am just fighting a losing battle both in life and mentally. With everything going on. It feels like I’m stuck fighting against everyone, fighting against my own principles, fighting against myself with no progress. No matter what.
I need help with paying off my debt which is a few thousand in and of itself and buying a decent car as I will be starting to drive 100 kilometres to and from work starting December with a new job. I would only ask for help with the debt but with my destroyed credit. It is impossible for me to be able to finance a car. And I don’t make enough now to buy even a used one with cash. Once I keep the place and live alone. Even then I would barely have left over cash after everything is said and done. I need help to be able to get her out and start being able to live at least a better life and surrounding.
I know that was a long explanation and if you made it this far. I greatly appreciate it. And if you decide to help me in my goal to be better. You have my deepest gratitude and I give you my word that I will pay it forward and help when I can in anyway I can.
I have about 15,000 in debt, and I still need to be able to buy a vehicle. I do not expect for the entire thing to be covered. I will still work hard to be able to pay it off. However, if you are able to help. Every dollar count and would highly hold you in regards.
I thank you. From the bottom of my heart.

I got SCAMMED – Now falling behind in more debt – Please Help
Dear generous reader,
I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to you today because I find myself in an extremely challenging situation, one where I am struggling to meet my financial obligations. The mounting pressure from outstanding debts, including my mortgage, credit card debt, and a car loan, has begun to intensify, leading to phone calls from the creditors and looming financial uncertainty. My income is insufficient to restore all my accounts to a good standing, and I find myself in a relentless cycle of accumulating more debt every day, even to buy groceries. It is my sincerest hope that you may consider extending your kind support to help me navigate this turbulent period as I work towards regaining financial stability.
My financial turmoil began when I fell victim to a fraudulent scheme over the past 2-3 months. I lost approximately $25,000, which originally did not belong to me. I was drawn into what seemed like a legitimate “job” in the realm of cryptocurrency “investment.” The scammers involved me in high-risk crypto investments that promised exceedingly high returns. These investments operated through a series of “daily tasks” and initially paid out smaller sums as returns. For instance, I could “reserve a seat” with $100 and expect to receive $140 once the trade concluded. They primarily engaged in Futures trading on the crypto market, creating an illusion of genuine gains.
I naively believed that this method could help me pay off my credit card debt and settle overdue bills that had been accumulating. Consequently, I borrowed $11,000 from a private financial institution at a staggering interest rate of 35%. To fund these investments, I also borrowed from my wife’s credit line and relied on the generosity of two friends. This financial journey began on August 15, 2023, and for a brief period, it seemed like I was finally on the path to financial recovery. However, my hopes were dashed just two weeks later when I discovered that I had unwittingly embarked on the most significant mistake of my life, losing every cent I had invested.
I am currently engaged in a challenging pursuit to track down the scammers and, hopefully, recover some of the lost funds. This process is protracted and demands further financial resources, as I need to enlist the services of a cryptocurrency firm to trace the transaction routes in the hopes of securing a refund.
Meanwhile, I am grappling with the burden of regular expenses such as my electricity bill, car loan, and mortgage. The situation has worsened since I am now servicing a new, high-interest loan that I didn’t have before, and my wife’s part-time job pays less than the average income. As a result, even providing our three children with proper meals has become a daily challenge.
The weight of regret and shame I carry is profound. I should have known better, and the most distressing part is not being able to adequately provide for our children, given the predicament I have placed us in.
If you have reached this point in my message, I want to express my heartfelt gratitude for your time and consideration. I am already appreciative of the opportunity to share my story on this platform in the hopes of finding assistance to extricate myself from this dire situation. I am also committed to raising awareness about the specific type of scam I encountered, as I wish to protect others from falling victim to it. As my financial worries persist, I will explore the most effective ways to reach a wider audience and make a difference.
From the depths of my heart, I thank you for taking the time to read my story and consider lending a helping hand. I am more than willing to provide evidence of the loans I acquired, the funds I transferred to the scammers, and the complete account of how this unfortunate episode unfolded.
Thank you so very much for your consideration and support.
Sincerely,
Losing my hope and faith
Hello I would first like to thank you for spending your time reading me! This certainly isn’t an easy thing to do, I feel like a failure, I have always taken care of everything life throws at me myself.
My situation requires rent arrears to be paid as soon as possible. August 27,2021 my rented home burnt down and I lost absolutely everything, what I was wearing was what I had left. I was homeless, I do not have family to turn to so I stayed where I was welcome trying to not be a burden.
An M.S. diagnosis came during this time making everything that much more difficult. The added financial, physical and emotional stress is unbearable at times.
I am not homeless anymore , yay!, but trying to replace absolutely everything lost and keeping up to new financial challenges has been impossible and put me behind in rent, bills etc. I have a great fear of becoming homeless again, I have cut expenses wherever I could which turns out to be medication and food. M.S. is difficult enough. I live on CPP Disability that is never enough, but a roof is the most important aspect for me at the moment. Arrears are at 885.00 and I cannot catch up, I need help!
I truly appreciate the time spent reading me ;

Subsequently, we are in arrears 3 months, and desperately require funds before utilities get disconnected as notification have started to roll in: rent ($3855), utilities ($980)Gas, water & Hydro plus telephone ($300), which totals $5135K. Please Help! I Need A Hand Up
The last 3 years have changed my life. I’ve worked as an RN for the past 15 years. I’ve worked in ER, in a care home, ophthalmology, surgery, and medicine. I have even worked 1 year in Saudi Arabia 12 years ago. It’s safe to say I feel confident in my practice.
At the time when the Covid Pandemic started in 2020, I was working as a casual staff where I provided relief for staff that go on vacation or are sick. For 3-4 months when the Covid Pandemic started in 2020, I was lucky if I got 1 -2 shifts a month. I had to utilize the CERB assistance during that time to pay rent and cover other bills. Later in 2020, I got a temporary full-time position. In a span of a year, I was seeing so many changes in regard to policies being pushed out in the hospital I worked in and the other facilities in my area, that it was negatively affecting the care being provided.
I had to make a choice as a healthcare professional if I was going to go along with these changes, knowing it was going against the ethics and nursing standards that have been laid out for many years. I chose to advocate for patient safety. I was ridiculed, bullied, harassed, and eventually fired from my position. Those decisions cost my career. My employer submitted a complaint to my regulatory body about conducting myself unprofessionally, which forced me to give up my license to practice.
During my career as an RN, I wanted to start a real estate investing business and had successfully purchased a rental income property several years. However, since losing my nursing job, I had to sell my rental property just to cover my rent and bills until I could find any job. I had applied for a loan over a year ago and it’s still pending. That delay has really messed me up in the ability to move forward. I’m now facing eviction at the end of November. For the past 2 years, I’ve been trying to find a job and I just recently obtained one as a caregiver, which is a far cry from being an RN. As a result, my rent and bills are mounting. I feel like I’m drowning and it’s very overwhelming at times. I would appreciate a hand up so I don’t lose my place.
I’m asking for $30K to help clear things off and get me back on solid footing. I definitely appreciate more than ever the stress of being behind and potentially losing everything. It’s changed my outlook on things. I’ll definitely pay it forward and help others on this website once I get out of this stressful situation. Thanks so much!

A humble plea for support change my life
Dear kind Donors
I arrived in Canada with my husband and our three children, carrying with us a treasure trove of dreams and hopes. I was determined to enhance my prospects, so I dedicated myself to learning English, a vital skill in this new land. As time went on, I decided to further my education by enrolling in college. However, life had a twist in store for me that I could never have foreseen.
During this journey, I was diagnosed with breast cancer, a devastating blow to my family’s aspirations. The treatment journey was grueling, consisting of chemotherapy, surgery, and radiation. Despite the pain and challenges, I persevered, determined to fight for a better future for my children.
But life’s trials weren’t over; seven months later, I was faced with yet another daunting diagnosis: brain cancer. This was a turning point, one that tested my spirit to its very limits. With immense courage, I underwent a delicate brain surgery and continued with radiation therapy.
The toll on my body and spirit was significant. I found myself in a position where I could no longer work, and my husband, nearing retirement age, struggled to secure employment. Our financial situation grew dire, and we found ourselves burdened with a substantial debt of $90,000, unable to meet our obligations.
In the face of these challenges, I felt my hopes slipping away, and a sense of helplessness began to consume me. I couldn’t fathom how I would provide for my children, who were my driving force throughout this tumultuous journey. The weight of uncertainty and the fear of not being there for them weighed heavily on my heart.
In these trying times, it feels as though I’m living on borrowed moments, unsure of what the future holds. The one thing that keeps me moving forward is the enduring love and resilience of my family. We hold onto the belief that there is still a glimmer of hope, and that there are kind souls out there who can offer a lifeline to help us navigate this challenging chapter in our lives.
The adversities we face may seem insurmountable, but I hold onto the strength within me, the love of my family, and the belief that there are compassionate individuals who can make a difference. It’s my fervent wish that my children can fulfill their dreams, and I can only hope for the chance to see them achieve the bright future I envisioned when we first set foot in this land of opportunity.
The journey has been long and arduous, but I haven’t given up. I’m a fighter, and I’ll keep fighting for my family, no matter the odds. We may be facing one of life’s darkest chapters, but I believe in the resilience of the human spirit and the power of compassion to light the way forward.

For a good start be my life changing event…
Dear Donor,
My name is Philippe Arguin and I am writing to you today asking for your help. I am passionate about the world of technology and particularly about the domain of cryptocurrencies and online businesses. My goal is to actualize my aspiration and achieve financial independence by setting up online revenue-generating businesses and investing in the economy of the future – cryptocurrencies.
However, to reach this dream, I require an indispensable tool, a laptop and starting funds to invest in cryptocurrencies. Without these two elements, it’s challenging for me to get started and break into this fascinating realm.
This is where you come in. With your generous aid of $10,000, you would be helping me take that leap. This investment would not just allow me to buy the necessary equipment to initiate my projects, but will also pave the way for my adventure into cryptocurrencies.
In return, I guarantee you that your investment into my ambition won’t be in vain. I am determined and prepared to tirelessly work to turn this dream into reality. Ultimately, my goal is to reach a point where I can give back to the community and help others achieve their dreams, just like you’d be helping me today.
I understand that the world of technology and cryptocurrencies may seem risky to some, but with the right strategy and an abundance of resilience, I am confident that I can succeed.
I sincerely thank you for taking the time to read my request and consider helping me out. Each donation, no matter how small, brings a person closer to their dream. In this case, it’d be helping me fulfill mine.
Thank you immensely and best regards,
Philippe Arguin

Hi. My name is Utanu and I am the aunt of the prospect recipient of your donations. I live in Toronto, Ontario, Canada where I welcomed my nephew, Haguy Bakafwa. as an international student. So, I am coming to you to humbly beg money on behalf of my nephew Haguy, a brilliant and lovely young from the Democratic Republic of Congo in Africa, now attending the engineering school at the Polytechnique Montreal of the University of Montreal in Canada. I am writing you to raise funds and help a less fortunate, yet immensely promising young soul achieve his dreams of becoming an Electric Engineer. Haguy is so intelligent and dedicated to his studies that, as a first-year student, he is already part of the student’s Technical Society with the mission to build an electric car and compete internationally. This dream will become possible only with the help of kind-hearted souls like you. Your donation will be greatly appreciated, and I thank you in advance for your support. I asked Haguy to write you and talk to you directly. Here is his letter:
“Hello, everyone,
I’m Haguy, and I’m a 19-year-old international student currently living in Toronto, Canada. I’m pursuing my dream of studying Electrical Engineering as a first-year student at the Polytechnic School of the University of Montreal/Université de Montréal, where my journey began on August 28, 2023. You can find proof of my admission attached.
My goal is to become an Electrical Engineer and make a positive impact by providing clean and renewable energy solutions for our planet. But, to achieve this dream, I need financial support because education is expensive.
I want to share a bit about my background. I’m an orphan; I lost my father in 2019. My mother and my aunt have been my pillars of support, doing their best to take care of me and my three siblings. Thanks to the kindness of someone from my church who believed in me, I received a student visa to Canada. My mother and aunt worked hard to pay for this opportunity. I am forever grateful to that person.
I arrived in Toronto on January 19, 2023, as an international student from the Democratic Republic of Congo. My aunt is helping me with tuition and living expenses. I initially planned to study Electrical Engineering at Memorial University of Newfoundland after completing an English language program. However, I discovered that the University of Montreal offers the program in French, which is my first language, so I applied and was accepted.
I’ve been in class for a week, but I’m already feeling the financial strain. My aunt has been incredibly supportive, purchasing an expensive laptop for my engineering studies, paying three months of rent in Montreal, and contributing $5,000 toward my $14,500 tuition fee for this fall. The total cost of tuition for a year is $29,000. My aunt also covered my books and provided me with living expenses for the first three months while I looked for a part-time job.
However, her resources are stretched to the limit. She is also dealing with serious health issues and medical bills for my mother, who was in a car accident on the day I left for Canada. My aunt is a strong single mother, but she can’t take on additional work to support me further. Without her help, I won’t be able to pursue my dream.
So, I’m turning to all of you for help. I’ve started a GoFundMe campaign to raise the funds needed to cover my tuition and make my dreams a reality. Here’s a breakdown of what I need:
- $29,000 per year for tuition as an international student (proof in my admission letter).
- $9,500 to cover the remaining balance of my fall semester tuition by November 2023.
I’ll also need support to cover the $24,000 yearly tuition for the coming years while searching for scholarships and working part-time.
To give you a bit more insight into my background, I lost my father when I was 14. He was a successful Civil Engineer. After his passing, my paternal family tried to take everything from us, but my aunt stood up for us. Despite limited means, she’s been a rock for our family, supporting us in various ways.
My mother worked tirelessly to provide for us until her life took a painful turn in a car accident on January 19, 2023. She is currently hospitalized with life-threatening injuries, and my aunt is covering her medical bills. The financial strain has taken a toll on my aunt’s health as well.
I’m asking for your help to make my dream come true. Even a small contribution can make a big difference in my life. I promise to work hard and give back to society through my education in Electrical Engineering, contributing to the development of sustainable energy solutions and better lives for those in need. Proof of my admissions to the engineering school and attendances can be provide if required.
I humbly thank you for your support.
Warmly, Haguy.”
