Hello ladies.

My name is JINNY and I am a young solo entrepreneur in South Korea.

I started a one-person business in 2021.
The reason I started the business was because of my family’s financial difficulties.
I was attending college with the goal of joining a company and working with a stable salary, but it was difficult to cover my family’s ever-increasing debt with the salary provided by the company.
So, I thought the only way to solve this crisis was to start my own business.
That’s how I started my one-man business.

I started a one-person business and did a lot of things, including online sales, blogging, and a used book business.
While I was running a one-person business, I had no leisure time.
I couldn’t meet friends or date.
I put all my time into work except for sleeping.
However, the results were not proportional to the effort.

As of 2024, it is on the verge of closure.
Even though it was making a steady profit, it was difficult to run a business.
Basically, since there was debt in the family, the money spent to pay off the debt and make a living was more than the money earned.
Moreover, my parents are old and not very healthy, so I have to pay hospital bills regularly.
As a result, in addition to my family’s debt, I also had a lot of personal debt.
So, I am making up for the shortfall through part-time work and selling used goods, but even that has reached its limit.

My body can somehow endure hardships.
In fact, because I was born with a herniated disc in my back, my legs often go numb when I lift heavy things, but I have always endured the pain for the success of my business.

I have Meniere’s disease and often suffer from otolithiasis, which causes frequent dizziness, but I am gritting my teeth and holding on in order to make my business a success and solve problems at home.

However, it seems difficult to endure the ever-increasing debt and difficult financial problems.

Still, I must succeed as a solo entrepreneur.
I must succeed and resolve both my family’s difficulties and my own.

So, we are currently carrying out a business to export products from South Korea to overseas countries.
However, now I have almost no money left, so I am having a hard time moving forward with my business.

Although I personally have over $50,000 in debt, I would like to receive only the minimum amount of support so that I can succeed in my business and pay off my $50,000 debt as well as my family’s debt.

If I save up about $10,000, I think I can properly start my own business.
And, I will try to solve all my debts by making my business successful.

University funding for daughter

I was retrenched in 2020 due to covid and have battled to find a job until now 2024 have managed to get a job. Help me to bounce back

Before I get started, I want to say thank you to whoever assist me with my challenge. I just got laid out from my job. This is the lowest feeling I ever had.

Backtrack all the money and savings I thoroughly been used during COVID-19. I have used my savings for two years of not working during the pandemic.

Help A Struggling Young Man

I will first like to appreciate madam Odette for introducing this site to me and I pray by God’s grace I get help.

 

Iam a struggling young man trying hard to make it in life after falling and losing my hard end money in the hands of scammers who call themselves investment platforms or Ponzi schemes companies I have lose almost $5000 to many of this platform from 2021-2023.

Sinking in debt due family misfortunes!

Good day to all you lovely people! I’m typing this from my mobile so the format might be off, but bear with me please 😭

 

Long story short, I’m deep in debt. Covid didn’t help, made it worse, and I’m sure it’s happened to a lot of you as well, but hey, thank you for stopping by to read this, and help if you could ☺️

 

A couple of years ago, my sister had stroke. This led her to not being able to work for an entire year (and a little more) as job markets were bad. My sister also falls ill really easily, have and been in and out of A&E too often.

 

Last year, my mom underwent surgery for her spine. To be frank, I’m not sure which surgery in particular. My understanding is that the nerves were sitting on her spine and that was giving her pain all the time. This surgery was done in hopes that it’ll lessen the pain, and maybe her legs would feel better. Unfortunately, that was not the case, although it did help lessen the pain a little. This year, she had a total knee replacement done, and will be going for another surgery done next year.

 

The death of my grandparents didn’t help either as I was paying for funeral too.

 

Hospitalisation bills ain’t cheap, and I now have to pay for both my sister and mom. I’ve paid off most of it, by burning my savings, and taking up bank loans. I am sinking in debts due to taking up loans. At this point, I am about $60k in debt.

 

I am working full time, and every pay check I receive, it goes straight to paying off debts, daily necessities, mortgage (parent’s place, I do not have my own)… you name it, I’m paying them. My parents are both retired due injuries and well, old age. I’ve reached out to my relatives in hopes that they would lend a hand but none agreed to help. This led me to taking up bank loans, hoping to help with the financial burden. It was clearly a bad decision as I now am unable to pay even the minimum amount per month. I’m barely scraping by, let aside living pay check to pay check.

 

There’s no one I can turn to, and I am at my wits end. I’m doing everything I can but it isn’t enough. I’m really burnt out. I’m trying, I really am 😭

In my early twenties, my world was shattered when my father was diagnosed with a chronic liver disease. He endured unimaginable pain and medical treatments for over seven long years. Our family was plunged into a never-ending nightmare of hospital stays, mounting medical bills, and crushing debts. Fresh out of college, I took on any odd job I could find to support my family while juggling my studies and hospital shifts. It was a relentless struggle.

We lost my father in December 2017, but the dark cloud of debt continued to loom over us. I worked tirelessly, picking up extra shifts and freelancing to keep our household afloat. Then came the lockdown, and our world crumbled even further.

Life post-lockdown has been a relentless rollercoaster of emotions, physical agony, and mental anguish. In the latter half of 2021, my body betrayed me. A paralytic attack struck the left side of my body, caused by a sinister infection in my cerebro-spinal fluid, resulting in debilitating vertigo attacks. Months of treatment left me anxiously pondering my job security while the debt continued to spiral, reaching a staggering $6,000.

After a year of battling the paralysis and infection, I sensed that something was still amiss. I relied on public transport for my daily commute, and one fateful day, my leg felt strange. Ignoring the discomfort for a few weeks, I finally sought medical help.

The diagnosis was a devastating blow. More than 70% of my right hip bone had deteriorated, rendering my body incapable of bearing my own weight. An emergency surgery was imperative, though only partly covered by my insurance. My world crumbled again, and I underwent the surgery, followed by months of bedridden recovery. No employer had the patience to wait for my extended absence, and I lost my job.

Since June 2023, I’ve been grappling with the overwhelming challenge of making ends meet at home, let alone tackling the mountain of debt, which has now soared to an insurmountable $15,000. All I fervently ask for is a chance to reclaim my life—a sum of $25,000-30,000 to help me recuperate from my medical ordeal and sustain myself until I can secure a job and rebuild my life.

I have never had to do anything like this before and I am feeling very embarrassed but I don’t know where else to turn.  I am a teacher in Phnom Peng Cambodia.  I have been doing this job for 7 years.  I teach lower level primary.  Until this month I was employed at a Singaporean school.  I had been with them for 18 months and would still be there had there not been an incident that took place where I felt I could no longer stay owing to the way the situation was handled.

A young boy in P4 tried to kill himself in class.  He was a new student who has mental health and violence issues that we as teachers were not made aware of.  They P4 teacher was left traumatised and was offered no support from the school.  The decisions made by management after the event only served to make matters worse and the student became more voilent towards younger students.  The stress cause the P4 teacher to resign and again this was handled very badly.  I was concerned for the safety of my students but the pupil was allowed to remain.

Several other things happened towards the teacher who resigned in terms of deducting money from her salary etc.  I voiced my concerns but they were not taken seriously.  I left as the stress was also becoming too much for me.

I am actively seeking work but most of the positions are for nursery which I can not teach as I broke my femur bone 3 years ago and have a metal rod inserted.  I can not get up and down easily and I cant kneel on a floor to play.  I have to wait until a primary level position opens up.

I am confident I will get something but my visa renewal is due on 8th November 2023 and it costs $300 and I will also have to change my work permit status now which is a further $200.  Without these 2 things I can not stay.  My rent is due on the 6th of November it is $360 plus bills which are around $40.  I have myself and a dog to feed and if I can secure a job soon, I will need money for travelling to and from work.
