I am a 77 year old lady who fought stage 3+ esophageal cancwe and won!

The battle took it’s toll with my physical  and financial way  of life. After 30 days of radiation treatments, 576 hours of chemotherapy, 6 hours of surgery to remove the tumor and then 16 days of a post op hospital stay to make sure that all the changes to my sphincter muscle, stomach and esophagus were healing properly so I could get off the feeding tube and be able to go home. I knew that with all my physical changes I was going to have a very different way of life(sllep sitting up,no bending over or heavy lifting and I have to use an oxygen consentrator). [Read more…]

Wishing On A Star

Late at night, the weight of being a mom truly hits me. My entire life revolves around my kids, creating a cozy, happy home for them, providing what they need, and handling everything that comes our way. I’ve always managed to provide for them by working hard and maintaining the attitude that I must do it, I have no choice. It’s all for them. I want them to have a memorable childhood, to feel safe and simply happy. I’ve always been the rock, the one who handles everything for my family, always striving to do better.

Lately, though, things have become really tough financially. I’ve fallen behind on bills, and it’s all on me. Everyone’s looking to me, and it’s quite a bit to handle. I’ve been keeping all this stress to myself, trying to hold on, and I do a good job of masking it. Sometimes I’m holding on by a thread.

It’s really hard for me to ask for help, but I thought maybe I could just put it out there, sending a hopeful message into the world. Maybe I’ll connect with someone who understands, someone who feels a connection to my story. I don’t intend to be in this position for long. I will fail forward! I’m looking forward to not waking up with anxiety one day and becoming a better and more responsible person with my finances.

My rent is $3,150 a month, and I’m many months behind. I’m truly fortunate to have landlords who are so understanding and believe in me; I couldn’t be more thankful for them. I’m working tirelessly to gather the money, and I will, I have to, but it’s incredibly stressful, and I just want to breathe again. Today, I’m hoping for some kind of good fortune, a sign from the universe that it will be okay. I believe in paying it forward, and I look forward to doing so myself, to someone like me who puts out a message of hope just as I am now. To whoever is reading this, may many blessings reach you throughout your life. Thank you.

Help to cover childcare

Hi all! I’m going to be very transparent with whoever may be reading this. I’m really hoping this works and is not a scam as I have run out of alternatives and I’m in a very rough spot in life. A little about myself and the situation. I’m a 35 year old women living in the Northeast. I have 3 children 16, 13 and 1 ( for all those thinking yes I started all over again with raising another child). I have had the same job for the past 3 years working full time. Recently life has gotten out of control, I had to move recently due to toxic relationship that wasn’t healthy for my children. I am currently in a situation I thought I would never be in. Between moving expenses and bills I was left unable to cover my youngest sons daycare bill. I am currently behind by $1800 ( if needed I can provide proof ). Unfortunately due to me being behind he is no longer able to attend which has effected me working. My supervisor has been very nice and has allowed me to work from home but that has officially ran its course. I’ve tried loan options but I get denied every single time, asking family and friends and everyone seems to be struggling right now. I really have no other option but this and hoping the kindness of strangers is a real thing. I’ve always tried to handle everything so please understand I’m embarrassed to even go down this route but I have children to consider. I’m hoping this reaches and resonates with people who want to help. Thank you for taking the time out to read my little story and even help.

4. After a Lifetime of Giving, We’re Facing Foreclosure. Can You Help Us Stay Home?

We are reaching out to that special person(s) that can resonate with what happened to a young couple that got married, got a home, adopted two infants and gradually spiraled into financial hardship? My husband and I are both 64 years old and writing with deep humility and hope. We married in our twenties, both employed—he a truck driver, I a middle school teacher. We purchased our first home, then adopted two infants: a baby girl and a newborn boy. Our hearts were full of joy, our future bright.  Inspired by my mother’s humanitarian leadership as a community activist, we decided to take out a second mortgage on our home to buy a two-unit property, located in an “up and coming area” of the city.  As compassionate humanitarians in our new community, we decided to provide rooms for rent for low-income men called *I Am My Brother’s Keeper* (I-AM-BK). We offered safe, affordable rooms with access to job programs, food banks, and recovery resources. Every Thanksgiving, we served home-cooked meals to tenants and community members. But our compassion outpaced our financial planning. Tenants were often transient and unable to pay rent consistently. We now carried three mortgages, mounting utilities, and repair costs, with no steady profit. When we tried renting one of the units to families, the legal hurdles of eviction worsened things, and we returned to our original mission. Still, the debt deepened. My husband’s on-the-job injuries cut his income in half. Upon his return to work my mother’s health rapidly declined and compelled me with honor to become her full-time caregiver. I left work for several years to take good care of my mom until she passed away. I returned to work and we never stopped trying to keep our two properties. It was never about chasing wealth, but leaving a legacy of home ownership and true community humanitarianism. As senior citizens, securing our home out of foreclosure is the greatest gift we could be given. So with great humility, we ask: Will you be *our* Brother’s Keeper, as we once were for others?

Our Outstanding foreclosure balance:

House mortgage: $79,000 (80 days to court foreclosure)

Your gift would give us the peace to stay in our home and enjoy our golden years in dignity. Please help us and Thankyou tremendously for a priceless gift that we will treasure for the rest of our lives.

Drowning in debt, lessons learned a little too late

I’m a 28 year old male and am paying for shortsighted decisions I’ve made. I’ve got two maxed out credit cards and two loans taken out to cover rent, totaling to about $10,100 (one $5,000 loan, one $3,000 loan, one credit card maxed at a $2000 limit, and another maxed at $500, total balance on both is $2,212 and $565). I’ve sought out a plan on National Debt Relief only to discover that since my $5,000 dollar loan is a secured loan, they’re unable to qualify me for a plan. Further complicating matters is that I’ve used payday apps, Earnin, Empower, Brigit, Grant and Klover specifically to cover rent and now after all is said and done my bank account is currently sitting at -$400.

When I got home today I received a call from the second loan company, informing me that my account has been delinquent for 90 days. I’d thought that it was on autopay but unfortunately that was not the case. I need to come up with $500 to give them by Friday, June 20th or they will begin to garnish my paychecks by 20%.

Due to my negative balance I’ve also been unable to pay for my car insurance for this month, the bill for that is $254.44. I really at this point do not know what to do, I’m not asking to have my loans completely paid off, I’m just asking for kindness and any help that anyone is willing to give

Thank you for taking the time to read this

NEED MONEY TO SAVE MY HOME ABD MY CHILDRENS FUTURE

Dear Sir/Madam

I feel extremely humbled and – honestly – a little out of my depth as I have never asked anyone to help me out financially. My name is Irene and I am from Johannesburg, South Africa.

My parents died when I was still very young (first my Father, then my Mum).  I and my siblings landed up in orphanages and foster care homes and it took us quite a while to reconnect. My Dad was Scottish and Mom Afrikaans – and this meant (to make a long story very short) – that we had no other family ;that we knew) and therefore – orphanages and foster homes was our fate. I consider myself fortunate to have had the privilege of growing up in an orphanage and not on the streets. But the orphanage came with many trauma’s. It did, however, make me a resilient and compassionate individual with tremendous drive.

My goal upon leaving school was to have my own HOME – that I had not had since age 9. Not being able to afford tertiary education – I got working, often working 4-5 jobs. I was focused on saving a deposit for my home.

Again, I was fortunate as employers saw that I had drive, commitment, was loyal and gave every task my very best. I BOUGHT MY FIRST HOME AT 26 years of age. I focused on my career and can say I was once again that I wax fortunate.

I bought two more properties. My husband whom I am separated from co-owns the last property. I had to sell my retirement home and the other home as my separated husband had found himself in financial trouble  (the two I would leave to my children – as I NEVER wanted them to go through what I went through as a child.)

Now my ex-husband has found himself in financial trouble again. And now wants to sell the only home and legacy that I worked so hard for. He has stated very clearly that “he will take his half and does not care what happens to the four of us” (me and my 3 children(. I have to be honest and say my children NEVER went hungry and I gave them the best childhood’s that I could. Having people who believed in me and gave me opportunities was the greatest blessing.

But now I need to buy my separated husbands share of the house/home and wish to sub-divide it to ensure an income and legacy for my children.
I know I am not on the streets  – but it frightens me to think that this could be a future for my children. COVID has not been kind to me and being in a minority group that has little chance to partake in the economy, being female and close to retirement age – makes things difficult at times – although I have faith and still work hard to support my family (I was a late starter in having children as I needed to ensure that I could offer my children a good enough life).

But I now need to buy out the other half share and subdivide the property so that it produces an income.

I am willing to send more information when requested – such as the real estate papers, the forms I had to sign under duress  etc.

I will be completely transparent as I believe in honesty – and will account for every cent spent. I will also share some of the income – as I have always done – with those less fortunate than me.

I would love to host anyone that donated to stay for free in the cottage that I will turn into a B$B when holidaying in this beautiful country ;despite what you may have heard about SA). I live in an extremely safe area close to Rosebank and Sandton.

The amount needed is very high:

US$D 328 000.00

In humility and all my gratitude if you have even gotten this far in reading my appeal. And I am willing to provide more information needed, other than that provided here.

Best regards, Irene

Then in August 2024  my husband had 7 hemorrhoids inside his colon and was off for two months due to having three procedures to remove them in 5 days. We were also foster parents, we have fostered 33 children in 10 years and adopted 2 and have guardianship of 2 ,we coached Special Olympics, basketball ,track field and cheerleading. My husband is back to work full time, and working as many overtime hours that his job will allow; but we are behind and falling further behind on one income for the household. we have exhausted our savings. We tried to get an equity loan off our home, but it was declined due to low credit scores and late on mortgage, tried to refinance our vehicle loans, but was also declined.

We are 2 months behind our mortgage (June will be 3). My mortgage company is unable to help until we fall further behind. My family and I have had garage sales to help our situation as well. We have had a hardship for the last 2.5 years. I have  lost two sisters,a brother ,3 cousins, two moms ( step and Foster). My husband has lost 2 uncles, an aunt. We need a miracle, a blessing, help please..We just had our 26th wedding anniversary. We are good people. We are not used to asking anyone for anything. Financial hardships and debt collectors

Hi! I’m a young adult and I’ve been hustling to set myself up for financial success since I was 16 working in dingy pizza parlors and scanning documents at different kinds of offices. I’ve always prided myself on being hardworking and making ends meet, as well as setting aside money for a fruitful future.
However, in the past 2 years I’ve fallen on incredibly hard times. I was laid off twice, moved twice to places where I know nobody, had two major medical events including a painful miscarriage, and have been heavily affected by the rising cost of living. Right now, I’m trying to move back in with my parents to save money, but I don’t have the means to make it happen. I’ve been doing side gigs, selling items I own, and I was even forced to liquidate my retirement in order to pay rent, bills, and looming medical expenses. Truly, for every step I take forward, I take three steps back. I can’t keep up.
I’m incredibly independent and hate asking for help, but I’m running out of options. I need to be able to move ASAP and pay my overdue bills. Each day is filled with stress and uncertainty, but I have hope that things will turn around for the better for me.
If you’re able to help, it would mean more to me than you know. My cash app is $wingedvictoryy

Thanks for reading.

Seeking help for financial support please.

Hello!

I am writing because I am trying to get a house but need help on paying off my credit card debt.  I work in an office as a full-time employee still not being able to make ends meet with low wages and even  work as a door dasher on the side.

Still, it would help me out so much if you could please give me some relief with my bills and so I can get my car repaired. Currently, anytime it rains, I have a terrible leak through my hood release button area on the driver’s side interior and use a container to catch all the water I can. I also need my rear axle repaired and something else with my struts or suspension.

I have been living in an apartment for 10 years and just turned 60, trying to get a home that I can afford and enjoy.  My ex bought 2 dogs with me years ago and has left them with me. I adore them and also want a place where they can just run and enjoy a backyard.

I do not like asking for help, but I heard that there are people out there that are willing to help others and I would so appreciate anything you can give.

Please consider helping me and blessing with me. I would be so grateful.

Here is my link if you can help or at least keep me in your prayers.

Reliable Vehicle

To Whom It May Concern,

Subject: Letter of Recommendation.

It is with Immense pleasure and strong conviction that I recommend Christina Ragan for consideration in your funding platform. As Christina’s case manager, I have a clear understanding of her commendable character, unwavering dedication, and the significant positive impact a reliable vehicle would have on her life and continued self-sufficiency.

Christina possesses an exemplary personal and professional background. She has raised five children as a single mother, a testament to her incredible strength, resilience, and commitment. Furthermore, her records confirm a positive background check and impeccable driving history, with no DUIs, no felonies, no misdemeanors, and never having been on probation. She has maintained a clean record through her life with only one minor traffic infraction ever.
Her work ethic is truly outstanding, spanning decades of dedicated service.

Christina has been a cook for 37 yrs, a caregiver for 5 yrs, and a hotel housekeeper for 3 yrs. Since April, she has diligently worked for Door Dash, demonstrating her proactive approach to maintaining employment and earning a living.

Christina is not only responsible but forward-thinking she will need funds for cost of tagging, registration and insurance ensuring the vehicle can be legal and safely maintained.

For someone with Christina’s history of hard work, responsibility, and commitment to family, reliable transportation is not merely a convenience but a vital tool for her continued independence and ability to thrive. Her current employment with Door Dash specifically requires her to have a reliable vehicle, and she has been going through a hard time , making this vehicle essential for her to overcome current challenges. A vehicle would significantly help her in many ways by ensuring consistent income, greater flexibility, and vastly improving her ability to access essential services and community resources, ultimately reinforcing her stability and overall quality of life.

Christina is an incredibly deserving candidate who has consistently demonstrated integrity, perseverance, and a deep sense of responsibility. Providing her with a vehicle would be an investment in a highly capable individual who will undoubtedly utilize it to further her independence and contribute positively to her community.

Sincerely,

Shane Perez

Volunteer Nurse needing mortgage paid so she can go back permanently to Syria

My name is Sarah and I’ve been a nurse in the UK now for over 10 years. (I’ve been slightly grey haired for a while!) I’m looking for funding in order to become a full time volunteer nurse, initially based in Syria. Hence the need to clear my mortgage.

I’ve just returned home from Syria, where, as a volunteer nurse for an American charity I set up and ran a family/general practice clinic in a small town with a variety of drs and another nurse. During my time there I did everything. I was the nurse, HCA, pharmacist, cleaner, Tech support, medical equipment fixer, translator, on call service, first aide, occupational therapist and Physiotherapist to name a few. It was amazing. The patients I helped had been through so much during the previous regime and most had v. little.  The team I worked with were also soooo amazing. They put up tents, cleaned, plumbed, wired, cemented, sorted, sanded, dug and supported each other in too many ways to count or mention I was heartbroken to leave but had a house and bills to pay. The clinic is under the flight path of rockets and missiles going in both directions of Israel and Iran. I’m desperate to get back there in the next two weeks to help look after, the team and also the locals or anyone else who needs our medical help.  The charity I went out with and would initially go back to support is https://friendships.org/middleeast/ . You can also see part of what I helped this charity achieve if you have a facebook account and go to https://www.facebook.com/share/p/18PYqXZP2Q/?mibextid=wwXIfr.

Thank you for finding out about me and my dream. I’m sorry we’ve not managed to chat in person so that I could find out about you. I’ve also not been clever enough to attach photos. For now though, would you consider helping cover the costs which involves my mortgage, bills, travel, nursing registration and insurance? For a year and paying off the mortgage, it would cost£56,348.21 ~ US$ 76455 (according to google), or part of my mortgage, to enable us, (you through me,) to support these people? If not, what would you consider? I’m more than happy to supply more information. (I just didn’t want to bore your socks off with calculations!)

Thank you again for taking the time to stop by and thank you for choosing to help this community, and hopefully those further afield in the future. :)
