My name is Owen and I am a father and grandfather. There are five of us living in our two bedroom home. I have figured out a way to utilize other living spaces to accommodate everyone. Not Eligible For Long Term Disability

Hello and thank you to all who read and respond this post.

In late March of 2025 I came home from work one day and found I was
having difficulty walking and maintaining my balance. Both my Legs
felt rubbery and weak. A few days later I went the Emergency dept of
my local Hospital. Some members of the Neurological team came and did
some tests on my legs. After they were finished they said I would
have to be admitted to the Hospital for further testing. That was
April 23rd 2025. After I was admitted I had an MRI done. I was then
told that I would have to have NEUROSURGERY on my Neck to correct
problems with (2) of my Vertebrae and Discs. The Neurosurgery was
done on May 10, 2025. I spent a number of weeks in the Hospital
afterwards. My Neck and shoulders were VERY stiff and sore after the
operation. I was told then that my recovery could take up to
ONE YEAR. I have documents from the hospital stating this. I was
then transferred to a Rehab Hospital for (2) weeks for
Rehabilitation. On June 12, 2025 I returned home from the hospital.

After I returned home I applied for LONG TERM DISABILITY through my
employers benefit plan. About one month later I received an Email
from the Benefit Plan company stating that I AM NOT ELIGIBLE FOR
LONG TERM DISABILITY because I’m over 65 years old. The Employers
benefit plan does NOT have Short Term Disability.

My SICK BENEFITS from my Government Employment Insurance program will
soon RUN OUT IN EARLY OCTOBER of 2025. My recovery has been very slow
and I’m not fully recovered yet as of September 2025. I’m still
walking with a Cane and not able to go back to work

And so I’m ASKING FOR HELP to pay EXPENSES (RENT, GROCERIES,
UTILITIES, ECT) for the next number of months until I can return to
work. I am Renting and live alone and so I do not have a Spouse to
help out with expenses.

I’m also ASKING FOR HELP to meet the MONTHLY PAYMENTS for my (2) BIG
DEBTS I have been grappling with for years … OR ELSE be able to pay
them off. The (2) DEBTS total about $69,000 CAD. The Monthly payments
total about $720.

And lastly I’m also ASKING FOR HELP to replace my aging car of 2003.
The underside is now rusting out especially all along the runner
panels under the doors and under the rear trunk area. Repairs are
also becoming more frequent and costly. Last year I had to replace

Urgent Help: Single Mom of 4 Just Lost Job – Facing Eviction This Week. Please Help!

Divorced recently, no child support. I was holding on to dear life to the job that helped me provide for my kids. My Boss lost a lot of money and started letting people go. I hope this  note finds everyone well. 

Writing this is not easy for me, but I find myself in a place where I must try anything and everything.  As much as I want to, I can’t give up.  So here I am reaching out and asking for help in the most extreme way possible.

Life, as it does, has taken an extremely difficult turn, and I’m trying to rebuild with very limited resources.  I never imagined I’d be in this position — older, starting over, and struggling to meet even the most basic needs. 

I have been through my share of hardships in my 62 years, as we all have, however,  I’ve never been a quitter, and I’ve always tried to move forward with my chin up, so here it goes….

Help Pippa and Teddy beat Canine Cancer

I’m writing to you in desperation to save my dogs lives.
In the photo attached you will see Teddy on the left and Pippa on the right.
Teddy has been diagnosed with a meningioma (brain tumour) that is pressing on his optic nerve and has caused him to go blind.
Pippa has been diagnosed with lymphoma (blood cancer). We completed chemo and radiotherapy which was successful in putting her into remission for 4 months, however it has just returned last week.
These dogs are my life. I am 37 and suffered a stroke in 2020. Pippa gave herself the role of my emotional support dog and never left my side. She would spend all day and night in bed with me when I was unwell, and on the days I wasn’t feeling too bad she would nag me to get up and go for a walk. I’m not sure I would’ve coped so well emotionally throughout the healing process without her.
We adopted Teddy 3 years ago, at the age of 8. He had been living in a backyard and slept in an empty kennel with no bed or blankets and had some kibble thrown out to him every night. He kept escaping, obviously looking for someone to love him, and the owners got sick of busting him out of the pound so put him up for free on Facebook. He is the sweetest boy who just loves being with you 24/7 and cuddling.
We have an amazing oncology team at SASH North Ryde who have advised us both of these cancers are very aggressive, but also very treatable.
The problem is we have already spent around $30k on their treatment and it looks like we will be up for another $20k or so. It is money we simply don’t have.
If we do not proceed with treatment, Pippa will deteriorate quickly and need to be put to sleep in around 6 weeks.
If we do proceed with treatment, we can extend her life for another 3 years or so.
With Ted, if he doesn’t not receive radiation treatment soon, the tumour will continue to grow and press on his brain resulting in seizures and headaches.
Both dogs are still so happy and loving life so it seems unbearable to me to just let them get sick and die.

My husband and I have been together for 28 years. I have supported our family as a fine dining server. We moved from the midwest to the coast in ’05, with $600 and what fit in a rented mini van. Thats how we started in California. Trying to find stability and lay down roots…In late 2023, we had been pre approved for a mortgage!! Our life long Dream.

But there were no homes, literally available that we could afford. The same time I found a Mass in my breast, after discovering breast cancer causing hormones were placed inside my body against my will.

My Grandmother was diagnosed with breast cancer in her 50’s, months later her daughter was diagnosed with breast cancer at 34 years old.

I was in third grade at the time. I made life choices to mitigate my 19.9% genetic risk of developing breast cancer. When I watched my Mothers last breath at 39 yrs old, I was 16 yrs and have PTSD from this.

Discovering the hormones, the mass, I began to lose ‘myself’. It took 6 weeks for radiology to clear me of cancer.

2 weeks later, our landlord informed us he sold our home.

I spent December of 2023 packing up our life in cardboard boxes. Rented a Uhaul and filled a storage unit New Years Eve.

We could not find a place. We ended up in a pricy furnished unit that we paid all utilities in and $419 in storage fees monthly.

Mid January, I found rats in the unit. We lost 1/3 of our belongings. The insurance refused to pay.

It took 2 weeks to clean and throw away our things. I ended up being put on disability. I could not afford bills. We ended up homeless Sept 2024. I went to small claims to fight for storage losses.I lost. I racked $20,000 in debt surviving. Roach motels, rental applications from Oakland to Arcata, we were robbed of our SE bicycles and racks, we have footage in broad daylight but we just lost more.

I acted as my attorney to fight the medical malpractice, all while on disability, homeless, homeschooling our son…April 2025, I lost that case too.

Disability 52 weeks ended in May 2025. I tried working. It was going great!..then the owner started giving my shifts to the GM (his live in partner of over a decade, whom he was not paying wages) so he would make tips. He ended up intentionally trying to make me quit and then fired me for my PTSD when I would not.

pay back rent so we do not end up homeless. None of us can mentally handle it again, literally.

2) figure out consistent sufficient income to survive and be working to Buy a home ASAP

I am calling and applying to everything and there is no funding in any programs. There is no help. I feel so helpless and hopeless. My Family depends on me and I have not been able to provide the most basic needs.

I am exploring College?, Ihss, SSDI, workers compensation, multiple jobs, I do not know. Time is running out.

The hole is all encompassing. Surviving is not living. I want my child to have some stability before he is grown, my husband to have a home to sted before he is no longer able, we are good hearted people who want to contribute, who need fish and mending to the pole.

I never expected things to get this difficult

Any help, no matter the size, will make a real difference in my life.

I never imagined I’d find myself in this situation, but right now, I’m facing more challenges than I can handle alone. Life has thrown unexpected expenses my way, and keeping up with even the most basic needs has become overwhelming.  Large and  small surprises have created big stress for me.

I Am Desperate, Please Help Me Save My Home Urgently xxx

In advance may I say, I have never used this site or similar before.

I am truly humbled, to be pleading here, but it’s the eleventh hour and my false pride is quickly turning to panic!

If you are still reading, I will do my utmost to let you know everything I can imagine you would like to know about me and my current situation.

I am a 60yr old grandmother of the most gorgeous, 5 year old twin granddaughters.

They live in Adelaide, South Australia with my daughter, her husband, his brother & their other grandparents… all on the one block, although in separate dwellings.

I, on the other hand, live on the Gold Coast, Queensland Australia.

So we’re separated by 1,000’s of miles, myself north-east & my girls, smack back in the centre, bottom of Australia.

In March 2020, we lost my nephew, who I’d raised as my own. My daughter & nephew were as close & jealous as brother and sister.

A few months later, my daughter went into premature labour and was raced to surgery on her recently passed, cousin’s birthday 😢 His birthday is now shared with our twin girls!

My granddaughters are my miracles & help me bear with my grief that is inexplicable. They keep me on this Earth, despite my multiple mental & physical health issues, making it a struggle at times.

I fell behind in quite a few bills, but the most outstanding is a AUD $14,000 Strata Bill. I live in a gated community, and if you’re not familiar, each quarter we are charged Strata Fees that include the Administration & Management by a seperate entity & the other is a Sinking Fund which is there to pay for everything & anything related to the ‘Common Property/Areas,’ of the complex.

The one question I asked when I bought this property was the amount of these fees, which were $60 a week. I could afford that on my pension.

Some time after moving in, it was revealed that 3 of the townhouses were sinking and we had to raise, $700,000.  My Strata Levies have quadrupled.

I have 12 hours to come up with the outstanding levies or the Strata Management’s solicitor is going to claim my home, by court order.

I have the emails & letters containing the correct terminology/references/legal jargon!

I have prayed, begged and asked my nephew & grandmother who have passed, to PLEASE HELP ME GET THROUGH THIS!!!

I am really looking for a miracle, I know, with the clock ticking away.

Throughout my life and despite the adversity sent my way, I have always managed to plough ahead, or if I lost my footing, it wouldn’t be long before I’d dust myself off and get straight back into it.

I’ve had to. I’m the eldest of three children, and I’ve had to look after them and my mother as well. We came from Ireland when I was six, and that’s just what you do when you’re the eldest.

I survived horrific abuse that I shared at the Royal Commission into Childhood abuse. Sadly, my sister never recovered from what we endured, developing schizophrenia, which is why I ended up raising her gorgeous son.

I don’t know how she keeps going, I’ve not met another person survive so much tragedy, God bless her!

That’s another beautiful thing about my twin granddaughters, they are the spitting image of my sister & I at a time when life was all about faeries and Santa was still real. What is still real is the deep love we have for each other?

I have tried my absolute not to sink, but to swimm againsttge tide and tread water.

I have finally secured a fantastic flatmate, after a bit of herroundous learning curve.

I am also studying interior design to better myself and my property as I wish to help with my granddaughters lives, education & milestones. And I desperately want to leave what I’ve created, as in my home, and whatever I can add to it, to my daughter & twin granddaughters.

I do have other outstanding bills that I am working on, but if there is anyone or any group of people that could possibly help me, I will use every penny to fight on and save my home.

Victim restitution

I sold collectibles on eBay and got sports cards from a guy who wanted me to sell the them for consignment fee.  I sold them and found out that they were counterfeit.  The FBI arrested me for fraud and conspiracy.  The conspiracy makes me liable for ALL of the $88600 the crook made!  Not only that but I am also facing a prison sentence of 20 years!  Since I just turned 85, that’s a death sentence for me !  Please help me!

Eviction Need Help Today

Hello and Good afternoon, my name is Kimberly and I am here seeking assistance to avoid a state of homelessness, I am due to be in court on 09/18/2025, and I have run into a dead end with seeking assistance within the state in which I live.  With the cuts to federal aid from Woodyard Funds, none of the organizations in my area have any funding for assistance. I have been in a state of homelessness for almost 6 years since I lost my son to murder on Dec 17,2019 and this is the first time that I have managed to find somewhere to live. It has been very hard to regain stability after dealing with grief and being homeless for so long trying to regain stability has come with many challenges. After my other son and I moved he lost his job, thereby put the responsibility on me to meet all the needs of the house hold. He did find another job, after a new restaurant B-Mores opened and 3 weeks later the restaurant closed its doors, on pay day, and did not inform the employees nor pay them.  Things have really been hard, and to have to pack up and move after only been there for a short period of time, would put the two of us back where we started after years of instability. I do have a job and he has found another one, but won’t receive his first check until after we go to court. Any amount of help with be greatly appreciated.
