Breaking Free from Rising Rent — A Little Help Goes a Long Way

Hello, and thank you for taking the time to read our story. We are asking for support as we work toward purchasing our first home.

We both have steady, full-time jobs and have worked hard to build stability. I even went back to school and completed a master’s degree in hopes of moving into a better-paying role. Unfortunately, with the current job market, finding a new position that is both higher-paying and secure has proven very difficult. At the same time, student loan payments and rising rent make it nearly impossible to set aside enough savings for a proper down payment.

We are not looking for anything extravagant — just a modest house that we can take care of and improve over time. We’re more than willing to handle repairs and updates ourselves. What we need most is help overcoming the biggest barrier for first-time buyers: the down payment.

Rent has been our reality for years, and each year the cost grows higher. Instead of investing in something permanent, so much of our income disappears into temporary housing and loan obligations. Owning a home would finally allow us to put down roots, gain stability, and invest in our future instead of feeling like we’re running in place. It would also give our two small dogs the chance to enjoy a yard of their own — a small dream that would mean a great deal to us.

Every contribution, no matter the amount, brings us closer to breaking free of this cycle. Your kindness will help us cross the gap from renting to owning, giving us the chance to build equity, stability, and a true home of our own.

We are so grateful for any support, whether it’s through donations or simply sharing our story with others. Thank you sincerely for considering helping us take this important step.

Rent help

Hi I am looking for one time aid on my rent, due tomorrow. It is $1550 and I currently have $870 so I need $680 still. I clean houses and I have carpal tunnel right now so I can only clean 1 house a day right now. I am wearing 2 wrist braces and they are helping but it still hurts to do all the repetitive motions I have to do every day. I am 47 and have 3 kids at home, all teenagers. Their dad and I divorced 12 years ago and he has been hiding so he doesn’t have to pay child support. I am doing my very best, working hard cleaning ever since and I am now having to look for other work. I am on Care for babysitting, pet sitting and senior care, but haven’t gotten anything just yet. I just need to get the rent in on time so I don’t have to pay a fee on top of it. Please consider helping this mom get it done, I will be truly and forever grateful. Thank you for reading! Help with saving for a house deposit

Hello,

I know many people are struggling right now, but if you can spare anything to help me, I would be eternally grateful.

I am 47, based in the UK. Unfortunately I still haven’t managed to get on the housing ladder as I’ve never been able to save for a deposit whilst paying high rents. I come from a very poor background, but educated myself and now have a good job & career. I’ve worked hard to get where I am, however am getting increasingly worried that I’ll never be able to buy a house and end up spending my hard earned (small!) pension on rent instead of living.

I have a car loan (needed for work) £7,000 remaining + credit card debt – £9,100 remaining (this was used mainly for vet & medical bills). The monthly repayments are hampering my ability to save for a house deposit. I have a small amount saved (£3k), but will need £30k at least to equal a 10% deposit to buy a modest house in the area I live.

If you can spare anything at all, no matter how small, I cannot describe how grateful I would be. I work so hard and am so tired! Menopause! But just cannot get ahead.

Thank you so much for reading and thank you to anyone who is able to help out.

With gratitude and kindness,

AK

Ive spent my life being overly loving and caring. Now my health is failing and theres no one around for me.

I’m not really sure where to begin, so I guess I will start where my life felt like it ended. When I was 5 years old, my father left a loaded gun out. My 4 year old brother and I were left home alone. We were playing, I pointed the gun at him, and shot him in the forehead and killed him. My parents wouldn’t allow me to talk about  him or what happened, so I kept it all inside until I was 21. Even then when I would bring it up, telling my Mom that I needed to talk to my Dad about it, her reply was “its a sore subject”. Before my Dad died he looked at me and said “you blew my sons f-ing face off”. I have never felt so much pain, it hurt me to my soul. I haven’t talked to my Mom in 12 years, I also have 2 sisters that wouldn’t know if I died unless someone told them. Why I was dealt this life, I don’t understand. I have always been overly loving to everyone, but have been forgotten. I have type 2 diabetes which has caused 2 cataract surgeries and neuropathy in both legs and feet. I live on a fixed income of $970 a month. Wish I could afford to have some kind of fun before its all over. If theres any way you can help, my heart would dearly appreciate it. Thank you for your time & God bless you.                                                                                                                                                                                                                   paypal.me/noniebuttons

Close to Retirement age

Close to Retirement age
Close to and where most people start thinking about retirement.
I had a small nest egg put back but things change.
Covid hit and there went most of it.
Then family matters changed. Hey Family first.
Had a couple medical issues. Nothing life threating but in order to keep working past my retirement age I needed those procedures done, Shoulders, knee and hip.
Now just looking for a little help. Just a little.

Help with medical bills

Hi everyone! I am 25 years old and back in February 2025 I had a boyfriend and we had just moved into together. We got pregnant and were so excited. I went in for my first ultrasound and knew something was not right and it turned out to be an ectopic pregnancy resulting in an emergency surgery. I had no health insurance as I had gotten kicked off of my parents at the beginning of the year. I ended up with about 20,000 in medical bills. This entire situation took a toll on me and me and my boyfriend broke up and I had to find my own place. I had the begun my second semester of school in August and my car decided it wanted to get 3 flat tires within 3 weeks and my starter went out. What luck! I work two jobs and 12 hour days almost every day but it feels like I can’t catch up with everything coming at me at once. I don’t know exactly what I need help with first but I do know I need help. All of this has made me feel helpless and I’m asking for anything to help start my life over again and get back on track. Thank you for listening!

Electric Upgrade for Occupancy

Hello, I’m working so hard to get my family back stable after a domestic issue that turned into a messy two yr divorce. After the harassment, stalking, manipulations and losing lots of belongings the divorce is finally complete. I’m trying to get my family back on track and stable as I’m the only one with a residence since a one br apartment was all we could get. We put together on two rent to own starter homes in an older area thinking we could live in them and rehab. That the projects would be a good redirect for our ptsd and anxiety. But the city is requesting we upgrade the electric on both ($2,700 ea) and the wood windows need to be replaced due to vandalism. If we could get assistance with any of this it would be greatly appreciated. We were supposed to move in July of this year. I’ve been paying rent/utilities in both places since May.

Also, this does not have to be a hand out. I can provide graphic design/project coordination assistance if needed.

Thank you for your time,

Shontel

A desperate plea for help with a $70,000 credit card debt from a scammer.

I am coming to you with a plea that strips me bare. I am broken, humiliated, and terrified, but I have nowhere left to turn. My husband is the best man I know. He works tirelessly, relentlessly, sacrificing every ounce of energy he has just to keep us afloat. Just recently, he had to take on the immense  financial weight of his mother’s sudden and serious medical needs. We were already at the absolute breaking point.  She just went through breast cancer and now her mind seems to be going.

And then I did the unforgivable. I was so unbelievably stupid and desperate myself that I allowed myself to be utterly manipulated and scammed out of more than $70,000.  We can’t make the payments for that amount and any help lowering the amount would be so helpful.

The truth is crushing me. I have ruined us. I’ve destroyed our stability, our future, and every penny my husband has worked himself sick to earn. We have three children who deserve a secure future, and because of my catastrophic mistake, I have nothing left to give them. My husband is working himself toward an early grave.

I cannot look him in the eye. I am paralyzed by guilt and I’m so terrified about how this is affecting my marriage.  The stress of the situation is truly wearing down our relationship.  I know my husband loves me, but our relationship has been changed by this horrendous mistake I’ve made. He doesn’t even know I’m doing this, because he’s a proud man who would be incredibly embossed to ask for help.

We are desperate. I am begging you—from the very depths of my soul—to please offer any help you can so we can pull our family back from this financial ruin.

This mama is treading water, and about to drown.

Thank you in advance for taking the time to read my story. I’m not one to ask for help like this, but I am quite literally out of options.

I am a mom of two great kids. For the last six months I have been trying to make ends meet on my own. I am blessed to have a roof over my head and a job I love, but disasters have piled up causing the bills to get behind. And the stress of trying to catch up is taking its toll.

My commuter car needs repaired. I was in a small accident that damaged the front end. No mechanical damage, but not legal to drive and I am forced to use my fuel uneconomic truck. Both my power and my phone are scheduled to be shut of  the 2nd of October for being 2 months behind, I am close to running out of propane to cook and with winter coming on, I need to fill the fuel oil tank for our furnace.

I have exhausted all the community programs around my area that I qualify for which weren’t many. So, I am out of options.

If I could be blessed with around $7,500, I could cover everything and finally breath a sigh of relief.

Thank you again for reading my story and please have a blessed day.

Life is pretty broken for us right now and we just need a break!

Hello all, my name is Michael, and I live with my spouse Tina, and her father Norman, and we could really use a break. I keep a lot inside, and am normally adamant about not airing our personal lives over social media and the like; but at this point seeing no harm that can be done I thought I would give this a shot. So here it goes, and bare with me, I’m definetly no author by any means.

Now to start off with, all three of us have a myriad of serious health concerns, the primary being me having an enlarged right ventricle and chronic tendinitis in both arms. Tina has trigeminal neuralgia, epilepsy, and diabetes, as well as severe social anxietly and clinical manic depression. Norman suffers from depression, COPD which requires 24 hour oxygen, and dementia. So theres that.

Now after about a year and a half homeless from a wrongful eviction, the first six months being literally in a tent, being chased out by police for camping in the city, and the remainder in a shady southside motel in Edmonton Alberta Canada, we finally managed to secure a new home to live in.

The rent is expensive, 1500 dollars for a one bedroom one bathroom condo and we have to pay all utilites as well. Now Tina and myself only make 1475 a month combined income from long term disability, so just securing the place was a stuggle with the damage deposit and having to move all of our belongings in from storage. So we started off here already behind on things. Were having a tough time keeping up with things and I’m scared of what would happen if we actually lost our place. Norman is 72 years old and would definetly not make another winter living outside.

Now I’m not asking for millions or a future or anything of the sort, but like I said we could definetly use a break. Ideally, I’ve never got my full drivers lisence before and Tinas never even been out of Alberta so it would be nice to have a vehicle and be able to take her and Dad out to the mountains for a weekend or something and allow her to just have some time with her father to reconnect. I’m thinking thats all he might need to help kick him out of his dementia decline, and she might not have many chances for that left I’m sad to say.

Just to be able to have our heads above water without worrying how were going to pay the bills and where were going to eat next would totally change our collective state of mind and actually be happy for once. Just…happy.

So there it is, I know others have death at the door and have obviously more urgent and time sensitive needs, but it would mean the world to me and my family to have bills paid and maybe go somewhere and see some beautiful scenery or maybe fishing. I don’t know, anything. All I know is that my wife has the biggest heart I’ve encountered, and would, and has given the literal shirt off her back for others. I’m just hoping someone out there is able to do the same for her. Shes a beautiful woman, and she deserve it so much after all they have been through. Just hope someone can see that. If you’ve read this far, thanks even for that. And heres my paypal…

Help Save Max: Our Labrador’s Fight Against Cancer

Labrador with Cancer

Help Save Max: Our Labrador’s Fight Against Cancer

Hello, my name is Lyn, and I am writing to you with a heavy heart and a desperate plea for our beloved family member, Max. Max is our 4-year-old yellow Labrador. He’s the dog who greets everyone with a wagging tail, who never met a tennis ball he didn’t love, and whose happy grin has gotten us through the toughest days.

Recently, our world was turned upside down when Max was diagnosed with a Mast Cell Tumor]. Labs are known for their vitality, and to see our energetic boy slowed down by this disease has been heartbreaking.

The good news is that our veterinarian is hopeful. They have recommended an urgent treatment plan, including surgery to remove the tumor, followed by a course of chemotherapy. The vet said that with this treatment, Max has a strong chance of going into remission and enjoying more happy, healthy years with our family.

The challenge is the cost. The total for the surgery, chemo, medications, and follow-up care is estimated at $5,000. This is a significant financial burden that we were not prepared for, but we cannot give up on him without a fight. Max is more than a pet; he is family.

How Your Support Will Help Max

We believe in complete transparency. Here is a breakdown of how the $5,000 will be used to save Max’s life:

| Expense | Estimated Cost | Purpose |

| :— | :— | :— |

| Cancer Surgery (Tumor Removal) | $2,800 | Covers the surgical procedure, anesthesia, and operating room fees. |

| Chemotherapy Sessions (4 sessions) | $1,500 | The essential follow-up treatment to target any remaining cancer cells. |

| Post-Op Medications & Recovery Care | $400 | For pain management and antibiotics to ensure a smooth recovery. |

| Diagnostic Tests & Follow-up Visits | $300 | Crucial blood work and check-ups to monitor his progress. |

| Total Goal | $5,000 | Every single dollar brings us closer to our goal.

We are turning to you, our friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers, for help.  Any contribution you can make, whether it is $5 or $50, will make a real difference. If you are unable to donate at this time, you can still help immensely by **sharing this fundraiser** on your social media and with anyone you know who understands the love of a dog.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your compassion, your support, and for helping us fight for our best friend.

Prayers and Pleas To Help Save My Home and Family

I write this plea with an extremely humble heart and mind. I have always been the one whom has been able to help others, but never have I been in such a low and desperate situation as I am now.

I am a single father with a 7 year old son, as well as I am taking care of my 73 year old mother.

Two years ago my mother was diagnosed with Trigeminal Neuralgia. This is a nerve disorder that causes excruciating pain throughout her face. It sends pulses “shocks” through her face without warning. Even the lightest touch can set them off.  Simple daily tasks such as eating and brushing her teeth leave her give her extreme anxiety with being scared as to how bad the reaction “shock” will be and how long it will last.

Doctors have prescribed her several medications. None will completely treat it. They only serve as a pain assistance. We have taken her for non-invasive procedures, but they have not proven to be effective.  As of this past month. Her only remaining option is to have a surgical procedure completed. This procedure cuts the nerve. While it will leave part of her face without feeling, it will be far more comforting in life for her without being “shocked” through her face repeatedly throughout the day and night.

This procedure after insurance will cost $50,000.00

Combined with this. My son suffers from a speech issue caused by a deformity of his lingual frenulum. That is the portion of skin under your tongue. I have taken him to numerous speech therapists. They have all directed me to have a medical procedure performed on him to remove this portion of skin which would allow for better speech. My heart breaks for him daily as he has been picked on at school and struggles with pronouncing words and reading.

I have lost my job two months ago due to taking too much time off in caring for my mother. This has led to bills being unpaid and now my home in foreclosure.

I currently have 14 days before it will be foreclosed.

I am doing everything possible to avoid sinking and to keep a home and care for my family and myself. I am praying for kind souls to help me not only keep my home, but help in obtaining medical aid for my family.

With everything combined, my home, bills, and medical. I need $650,000. I cringe in typing that out. I have never been good in asking for help. As I said. I have always been the one whom was able to offer help. But the circumstances in life have pushed me to rock bottom and begging for help.

I am placing this in God’s hands and praying for blessing and financial support.

For my granddaughter ASHLYN

All right, here I go with a heavy heart and a deep sense of hope. I’m asking for help not for myself, but for the two people who mean the world to me: my 16-year-old granddaughter, Ashlyn, and her mother, Amber. Ashlyn is a sweet and intelligent young girl who faces daily challenges due to significant health and developmental needs.

Ashlyn has a disorder caused by a mutation on the CDKL5 gene, which causes a form of epilepsy that is extremely debilitating. This has led to uncontrollable seizures causing her to be non-verbal with developmental delays and motor skills issues, where she is unable to walk. She can only communicate by noises and sounds.

It saddens me so much to see Amber wanting Ashlyn to have a normal and fulfilling life. Ashlyn cannot function for herself. She requires constant, around-the-clock care. Amber has dedicated her entire life to ensure Ashlyn’s safety, comfort, and support in every possible way.

Caring for a child with special needs is an exhausting and all-consuming responsibility. Amber rarely gets a break, and while she does this so lovingly and with great patience, the toll it takes on her physically, emotionally, and financially is immense. Both of them are in need of support, whether it’s in the form of resources, respite care, specialized equipment, or simply help to ease the burdens of everyday life.

Any form of assistance, financial help, access to services, or connections to supportive programs would go a long way in improving their quality of life. It would mean the world to give Ashlyn the ability to grow and thrive, and to offer Amber some peace of mind and rest she so deeply deserves. They are two incredibly strong souls, bounded by love, and doing their best with what they have.

I may not be able to help much as I am of meager means, but I believe they shouldn’t have to do it alone. I believe in the kindness and compassion of others, and I’m hoping that someone reading this will be moved to help, whether by sharing this message, offering guidance, or providing support as they see fit.

Thank you for taking the time to read this. Your help could make a real, lasting difference in their lives. If you would want to donate please go to PayPal.me/StevenBD

Struggling Father of 4

I am humbling myself by coming here to ask for help. I thought I could do this on my own and dig out of the hole, however with increasing cost of living and the mounting medical bills from surgery I had to have to repair a hernia as well as my daughter having to see specialists for her Lypodysrophy, the bills are getting over burdensome. I am hoping someone can help me get out of this hole so we do not lose our house. My wife and I both work fill tome and we are unable to just work more to meet the needs.

I pray that someone is willing to help us. We are in a dire situation. We only owe approximately 50k on the house and 30k on a vehicle. We did not want to have to buy a vehicle but we had to in order to ensure the safety of our kids in transportation to and from the places we go. We did not have enough room in the vehicle we had. My paypal is paypal.me/nmcisco. Anything that can be offered would be extremely helpful. I have 2 kids in daycare and the cost continues to rise and I am worried that I will not be able to afford to live soon.
