Hello, my name is Tim Boyer. My current vehicle is starting to act up and I would rather get a newer one than spend money to fix it. I was homeless for about 2 months and recently found shelter but need a place of my own. I am an Assistant Manager at Food Giant in Princeton, KY. I have found a vehicle that I’m interested in but can’t get a bank loan because my credit is garbage. The vehicle I’m looking at is gonna run me around $70k. The easiest way to get money to me is over cash app at $Grandmoi. Thank you in advance for any help.
I’m pretty sure a truck driver tried to kill me…
Hi guys and thanks for taking a moment to read this.
For the past several years I’ve been doing gig work off-and-on using various app-based platforms. Earlier this year, I was doing Doordash full-time, until in June, my account of 7 years was deactivated due to my license being suspended. (Which is another long unrelated story) After that, my wife and I started going out using her Dasher account until I was accepted into 3 new gig work platforms, about three weeks ago. (Beginning of November) These platforms are fairly new to my area and haven’t really taken off here yet. So individually none of the three have been able to provide enough work for me to cover all of my bills, which led to some financial challenges. This includes getting a cancellation notice for my auto insurance policy.
On 11/16 I made an auto insurance payment using an electronic check, to avoid my policy being cancelled the next day. I wasn’t aware of it at the time, but the e-check didn’t attempt to clear my account until 11/21. By this time an unexpected subscription fee was charged to my account which caused my insurance check payment to bounce, and my policy lapsed.
Later that same day, I was driving on the expressway, on my way back from a delivery I had just completed in another city, for one of the new gig work platforms I’m working with. I had been following an 18-wheeler for a couple of miles in the passing lane and decided to pass it on its right side. I switched lanes and was passing next to its trailer when the driver abruptly swerved over into the lane I was in. Fortunately for me, I was still far enough back to slam on my brakes and avoid being smashed into the concrete barrier to my right, but as I was almost clear of the trailer, its steel bumper smashed into my front driver side fender and then proceeded to remove my car’s grill and front bumper.
At that point, although I was dragging my bumper under my car, I still followed the truck for a few miles and took several pics of the back of the trailer. I called the state troopers, and they instructed me to get off at the next exit to file a report. One trooper came to the gas station where I was, and another went looking for the 18-wheeler. They caught up with him a few miles down the road and had him follow them to where myself and the other state trooper were parked. An officer with the local county sheriff’s office arrived with the 2nd state trooper and the 18-wheeler.
After about 15 minutes of all three officers examining the back of the trailer, they came back to me and insisted that they couldn’t find a single spec of evidence of it making contact with my car. They went on to say that attempting to get the trucking company’s insurance to pay for the damages and/or pressing any criminal charges for the driver doing it intentionally would be futile and that I’d be better off just reporting the accident to my insurance company and having them cover the repair costs.
We went back and forth about it for a while, but I finally agreed to go their suggested route and report it to my insurance company. I did so and a claim was initiated, but the next day, 11/22, they called and informed me that my policy had been cancelled and couldn’t be reinstated due to the accident occurring during the lapse in coverage. That same day, their insurance appraiser came out to appraise the damages and provided an estimate amounting to $3,347.92.
The Pathfinder is my household’s only vehicle and it can’t be used for working with any gig work platforms in its current condition and right now these platforms and my wife’s disability payments are our household’s only sources of income. So, I need to raise enough funds to get the repairs done and for us to live off of until then. For now, we still have some money in our accounts, and I believe I can get the repairs completed for less than the estimated amount. That said, we’ll most likely still need $3-4,000 to get through this, but any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

A Mother’s Plea: Bridging the Gap for Car Repair
As a single mother raising five children, I have to balance work, childcare, and household responsibilities every day. It’s a difficult task, but one I gladly take on in order to give my family a better future. Nevertheless, an unforeseen circumstance has recently thrown a wrench into my already stressful life : as the only provider for my family, my car is more than just a means of transportation; it’s the lifeline that connects me to my job and, consequently, to the financial stability that supports my children. At the moment, the car is in need of repair, acting as a silent barrier between me and my ability to fulfill my responsibilities.
Given the nature of my profession, which requires dependability and timeliness, the issue is urgent. I run the risk of sacrificing my job and, with it, the income I need to give my kids a secure home if I don’t have a working automobile. I’m not looking for charity; instead, I’m looking for a helping hand to assist us get over this unforeseen obstacle and carry on with our regular lives.
The anticipated cost of repairing the automobile of $1100 is more than I can afford right now. This call to action is about protecting my family’s welfare, not just about restoring a car. Not only would your help with the repair costs be a sensible option, but it would also be a lifesaver while we work through this difficult chapter. paypal.me/vee7587

Needing a new engine!
During the Covid outbreak in 2020, my previous employer was forced to downsize. Sadly, I was of those who lost their job. I worked odd jobs, never took unemployment, but it just wasn’t enough. I finally made a very tough decision to file bankruptcy. It became final in February of 2021, and I lost my car in order to settle as much of the debts as I could. I finally got a decent job in May of 2021, and luckily it was work from home. so transportation was not much of a problem, My domestic partner had her vehicle and so we shared that. In October of 2022, we decided we did need a second vehicle, and we started shopping. I was able to find an suv that would fit the entire family, 6 of us at the time, and they offered a no money down option. So we went in, drove the car and applied for financing. they wanted a cosigner because of my bankruptcy, and my partner said she would cosign.
The suv was great, we loved it and then 8 months later it started making some od noises in the engine, and then it wouldn’t start. I had it towed to a mechanic, who looks at it and explained that the timing chain had failed causing the engine to become damaged and it needs to be replaced. Sadly the cost of the engine alone is beyond my budget right now, let alone the installation costs. I have tried to secure a loan, but my credit is still poor from the bankruptcy, and I get turned down. so this is my last option. I ha to have it towed back home, and it has been sitting in my driveway for 5 months now. I am not someone who depends on others or asks for help easily, but I have no other options. At this point I am still making my payments, insurance payments as well on it. I have priced use engines and I can get one for about $5500 plus shipping. I worked out a deal with the mechanic to make payments for the labor, but I have to have the engine completely paid for.
the stress of this whole situation has caused problems with my partner over sharing her vehicle again, trying to manage 3 daughters and get them where they need to be, and my employer has started requiring us to come into the office 3 times a week. I can’t forfeit the car or it will kill my partners credit, and still leave us without a second vehicle.
I very much appreciate your consideration. And any help is greatly appreciated, and will be paid forward.

Car repair
My vehicle is a 1990 ford f250 diesel which is currently in the repair shop. The mechanic said that I need to have the head gasket and the number 8 injector replaced which he said would cost me between $1000.00 to $1500.00. This amount of money I do not have at this time. It would take me about 2 months to save up that amount. I am on a limited income. I am asking for $2000.00 if possible for repairs. Thank you.

A Journey of Resilience
Hello,
I hope this message finds you well. My name is Sha, and I am writing to share a bit of my journey with you. Life has taken me on a challenging but transformative path, and I’m reaching out because I find myself at a crucial crossroads that requires the support of kind hearts like yours.
Just a few years ago, I was grappling with the harsh reality of homelessness. My car became both my shelter and my means of moving forward. The gig economy became my lifeline, and through sheer determination, I was able to secure my own apartment after months of living in my car.
Over the past two years, I’ve made incredible strides in rebuilding my life. I moved into a stable home, and I started my own business, thanks to the opportunities afforded by the gig economy. This venture is not just a means of making a living; it symbolizes my resilience, determination, and the unwavering belief that a brighter future is possible.
However, life has thrown me a curveball. The engine of my vehicle, the very tool that sustains my business and livelihood, recently gave out. I found a skilled mechanic who is willing to help, and after a thorough assessment, the cost of parts and labor amounts to [$3,763]. While I am actively working on improving and monitoring my credit, using it towards an emergency expense like this could jeopardize the progress I’ve made.
I find myself at a critical juncture where I must humbly seek assistance. My vehicle is not just a mode of transportation; it’s the backbone of my business. Without it, my ability to sustain myself and my newfound stability is at risk.
I understand that there are countless worthy causes out there, and I wouldn’t reach out if this situation weren’t truly urgent. Your support could make an immeasurable difference in my life, allowing me to continue on the path of self-sufficiency that I have fought so hard to forge.
I’ve created this fundraising campaign to help cover the expenses of repairing my vehicle. Any contribution, no matter how big or small, will go directly towards keeping my business rolling and securing the progress I’ve made on my journey from homelessness to entrepreneurship.
I am immensely grateful for your time and consideration. If you are unable to contribute, please consider sharing my campaign with your network. Your support, whether financial or through spreading the word, means the world to me.
Thank you for being a beacon of hope in my story of resilience.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Sha

Living in car – Need help with repair
Hello, good day! I am hoping that using this platform will help me in my time of desperate need. I am currently sleeping in my car that is having an electrical issue that causes it to not start at times, which hinders my ability to get to work, and also puts it at risk of being towed and impounded since sometimes it just will not start.
If at all possible, I could use some assistance asap! Thank you, God Bless!
Shit Happens
Hello,
My name is Jamie, I am a mom of two kids who are 14 and 8. I love being with them and being the one that raises them instead of a babysitter or family member which is why i work for doordash because I get amazing flexibility and they get to come with me if they want. Even though financially times are a bit tougher lately we manage to get by with a smile. I have only 1 car which is important for working, my car is taken care of but it is a 2006. Recently while on a night dash a little dog ran out in front of my car and i swerved to avoid hitting it and hit a tall curb instead, now the little dog is completely fine, in fact we named him shadow and he is now a loving member of the family:) As for my car, initially i assumed there was damage only i never would have guessed how much. I had a friend take a look and we discovered that the hit actually ripped the frame apart on the drivers side, it is detached:( I had some, very little, money saved up for unexpected things but this unexpected thing is alot more than i got. My insurance said it would cost more to fix than it is worth. So i want to get a new car so that i know its covered and wont quit on me in a few months. Im asking for help with a down payment because i really need my monthly payment to be affordable and something I can pull off, i understand that there are alot of people who may be in more need than me but i just had to try so even if you cant donate money, prayers help too, thanks for reading my story and god bless. https://paypal.me/sexymomy?country.x=US&locale.x=en_US
My stepson crashed his car. (update)
Dear Reader,
(This is an updated post)
I hope when you read this you are in good health and amongst your loved ones. I am writing to you today with a heavy heart and a sincere plea for assistance. My 18 year old stepson, Dominic, is currently facing one of life’s challenging situations, and I am seeking your help to provide him with a lifeline.
Recently Dominic was involved in an accident that damaged the right front of his 2007 Toyota Camry. The impact destroyed the right headlamp assembly and turn signal. The fender, hood, and grill also sustained damage. This unfortunate incident has left him without safe transportation and an enormous financial burden. To make matters worse, his insurance policy covered the damage to the other vehicle, but not his Toyota and he has no savings to fall back on. As a result, he is left with the daunting task of repairing his car without any means to do so.
Dominic is a hard working and honest young man who relies on his vehicle to commute to his job as a groundskeeper. Losing his job would set off a chain reaction of hardships, making it extremely challenging for him to support himself and maintain a decent quality of life.
I wish I could step in and support Dom at this trying time but my wife and I are facing our own financial strains as we are unable to provide the financial assistance he desperately needs.
This is where your generosity would be Dominic’s saving grace. We are reaching out to compassionate people like you who might be willing to contribute to help Dominic to get back on his feet. Your contribution, no matter the size, would make a significant difference in alleviating the financial strain he is currently experiencing. We are grateful for any support as it will go directly towards repairing his vehicle to be safe and reliable ensuring he can continue to meet his work obligations
If you are willing and able to help, please consider making a donation to Dominic’s repair fund through the PayPal link below. Any amount, whether small or large, will be immensely appreciated, and will make a world of difference in his life.
Thank you for taking the time to read this letter and consider our plea. Your kindness and generosity can be the beacon of hope that Dominic needs during this challenging period.
The cost to repair Dominic’s car is $3600.
With warm regards and sincere gratitude we thank you with all our hearts.
