Life has gotten hard. I have always taken pride in the fact I have been a single mother that put herself through school taken care of my children and provided for them. Recently, life has gotten stressful and overwhelming. Bills have racked up and no matter how many hours I work I can not put a dent into the amount owed. Retired Marine and 40 years Police Officer’s Widow Denied Car Repairs by Breach of Warranty Contract:
I AM asking for financial assistance to help with my car repairs. Premiums were paid for an extended car warranty that the company breached their contract with me. The warranty company denied my claim verbally by telephone; never giving me a written detail document of denial.  With documentation that my car was maintained in a timely manner by my maintenance company, evidenced none of the warranty company’s inspector’s claim, and not evidenced by the Ford Motor Company tech’s invoice, the warranty company breached their contract with me. I am a disabled man on SSDI benefits, meaning I am not allowed to work full time. I have an $18.50/hour job as a cook, and I live in subsidized rent housing. But in these past 2 years, I have racked up way too much credit debt due to too many car repairs or other personal needs. I bought my first car with my savings back in March 2020, just before the pandemic lock down. When I got the car, it worked just fine for quite a while. Now for the 3 years I’ve had it, it needed to get repaired way too much. Repairs including brakes, lights, starter, oil leak, alternator, air conditioner, all 4 wheels needing to be replaced, just to name the biggest repairs. Since the car was used when I bought it, the warranty was only good for the first 30 days I had it. It cost me thousands of dollars to repair out of my own pocket. This year alone, I already had to get my car fixed 4 times. And each time it needs fixing, it’s hundreds of dollars per fix. It has gotten so bad, I can’t even visit family or fund my hobbies for the rest of the year. I have family who live out of state that really want to see me. It pains me so much to tell them I can’t afford to visit them. I’m also looking to sell books I write, even that’s been a hassle. Because of my financial crisis, I need to wait until next year to visit my family and promote my books. And now, this is going to be the 5th time I’ve had to fix my car this year! Just a little bit about myself, I am 44 yrs old and have been on disability since 2019, which is not much considering how high everything is now.  I had a wreck sometime in Nov 2021. The guy that hit me didnt want to call the cops because he was late for work and he said he didnt have min. on his phone.
I gave him my info and whenever he got mintues he was supposed to call me. He ended up calling Geico , who I had insurance with and filed a claim saying it was my fault. Geico never came and looked at our vehicles. Geico just took his word over mine and fixed his car but not mine. A guy that I thought I new pretty well was going to fix it but he ended up scamming me out about  1000 on cash app. He ordered the parts and ended up returning them to Autozone. I havent filed a civil suit because our county charges $100 to do it and it not certian they will even pay you back. Hello. I totalled my car on August 4th. The insurance didn’t even completely pay it off. They left me owing 600$ more on that car and no money to get a new car. I was employed when this happened.
