I need urgent help. I do not know what to do.

Hello. In advance, I want to thank you for taking the time to read my story.

Last year everything was fine at the beginning, but suddenly things changed. I lost my relationship with my mother, my father never cared about me and I have no contact with him. I went to study in another country because of a better education. Over time I had to get a car, but I had an accident and now I can’t pay it off. They laid me off and left only the old staff. I have been trying to find a job for several months but without success. Everything has gone downhill, my savings are gone and I’m behind on my rent, car, bills, loans, and student loans.

Even a little help would mean a lot to me. Thanks again for your time and any help you could give me.

Family reunion

My name is Love, I am a wife and mother of two lovely girls.

I am currently on a health and care worker visa and I work as a Healthcare support worker in the United Kingdom where I support vulnerable adults and young adults to maximize their full potential and make every day of their lives count.

I have been separated from my young family for a year now and it is getting to everyone. Fortunately, I have been able to secure visas for my family for them to join me, however, I have been unable to raise money for the flight ticket to bring them from my home country Nigeria to the United Kingdom which will cost about £ 3150.

They have 90 days from the date their visa was granted to enter the UK and we have about 40 days left.

Based on this, I am humbly and passionately begging well-meaning individuals and Philanthropists to help me bring my family over to join me.

This is important to me because I left my second daughter when she was just some months old and I wish to unite with them again so that I can play my role as a mother in their lives hoping that my partner will support me as we work to raise our family together.

God bless you as you support this course.

Preparing for a double lung transplant.

Hi, my name is Kathy, and I am submitting this for my sister Kora. Kora is preparing to have a double lung transplant. Kora has severe COPD and has only 20% lung capacity. Kora is 62, a mother of 4 adult children and many grandchildren. Kora was a nurse, spent her life caring for the ill, elderly and her family. Five years ago, she had to quit the career she loved, she could no longer do her job as her lung condition worsened. Kora is now disabled and has a very limited quality of life. She is tethered to continuous oxygen, nebulizer treatments and inhalers just to make it through the day.

A few months ago, Kora traveled to Colorado and was approved for a double lung transplant due to the condition of her lungs. On February 12th we will travel back to Colorado for a week of testing to medically qualify her and place her of the transplant list. We will spend the week there, complete the testing and return home to wait for the call that donor lungs are available. At this point is where we will need financial assistance. Kora has Medicare and Insurance to cover the surgery, medications, therapy and follow-ups.

Kora will spend 3-4 weeks in the hospital after the surgery. After she is discharged, she will need to temporarily relocate to the area for approximately 3 months after the surgery. She is required to have a caregiver with her.  I will be traveling and staying with her through this process. Kora will need to return for frequent follow-ups after this recover time. We are in need of financial help with lodging, meals, gas and other expenses while we are there. Kora needs to maintain her apartment as she has an autistic son who lives with her. He has help for when she is away and will be able to stay in the home. As Kora is on disability she is on a fixed income, she will be able to maintain the expenses for her apartment, however, needs help with the away expenses. We appreciate any help we can get and thank you for your time. Kora’s PayPal is @KoraDutra

Need help breaking free. Drowning in a lost cause.

Hello. My name is Jocelyn. Thank you for taking the time to read my post.
I’m 44 years old, my husband is 42, our son is 12, my mom is 83, and my dad is 75.

I’m not good at asking for help, I have no practice at it. However, I am desperate. We’ve gotten into a situation that we can’t quite break free from on our own, and we don’t know anyone in any position to help us.

I posted this in December, but apparently, my PayPal was messed up. I didn’t notice at first, and by the time I figured it out and fixed it, several weeks had passed, and the post had been buried. I thought I’d give it one more try.

In 2013, everything was going to plan. We (my husband, son, and I) had our own place, some savings, and were fully employed. My husband was working full-time in tech, and I was working full-time in corrections for the probation department while going to school full-time for my degree in criminology.

That winter, my husband’s car was stolen. He lost his job due to the lack of transportation, and because his work laptop was also stolen (high security job, it was in the car – he was on his way to work when it was stolen, he stopped for food and the car was gone when he came out of the restaurant). It took all of our savings to get through the last 6 months of the lease, bills, and to replace his vehicle, leaving us broke.

We moved in with my parents in 2014, and shortly after, my mom was hospitalized for several weeks with pneumonia. She never fully recovered and has required home care ever since.

My husband got a new job, and we started catching up on bills and saving to move out. However, things keep coming up.

My husband’s mom died in 2016, and all the expenses were left to us. There was no inheritance, insurance, benefits, or other family to help.

In 2017, I graduated with my Batchelor in criminology and continued working in probation.

My dad was diagnosed with a brain tumor in 2018. Thankfully, it was fully removed, but it took a couple of years for him to recover properly (not fully, but well enough). However, this left him in need of home care as well.

In 2019, I left my job. Between providing home care for my parents, raising a child, and dealing with my own health issues (I’m epileptic), the stress was too much, and I couldn’t do it all.

We didn’t realize that my parents hadn’t been keeping up with their home maintenance. They (we) live in a 2 bedroom trailer home. Suddenly, everything literally started falling apart. First, we noticed a soft spot on the floor by the front door. It turned out to be rot, and a 3 foot by 4 foot section of floor needed replaced. During the repairs, we discovered a leak in the porch roof that was responsible for the floor damage. While needed, we couldn’t afford to fix the front door, as well.

Mom had a triple bypass on her heart in 2020. She’s doing well but is housebound now, except for doctors’ appointments, and her home care level increased significantly.

A water pipe in the bathroom burst, rendering the shower and toilet unusable without repairs. So we fixed what we could, as best we could.

Like many others, my husband lost his job in 2020. Thankfully, he found a new job in 2021.
I started doing independent contract work to bring in more money, but my availability is currently limited. My husband also started doing ride share on the weekends.

Our son was diagnosed with a.d.d. and a.s.d. in the summer of 2022. I scraped together the money to get the diagnosis. However, the therapy he needs costs $250 for intake and $130 per hr thereafter – we can’t currently afford that.

My mom’s cataracts got to the point where she could no longer see (not completely blind, but she can no longer read), and has spent the past year and a half going to appointments towards the goal of getting surgery to restore some of her vision. She is currently awaiting what is hopefully her last surgery, in a month or two. the surgery on her other eye was minimally effective but is also still healing. We’re hoping for better results with this last one.

The plugs on both sides of one wall (our bedroom/the bathroom) stopped working, but we couldn’t afford to fix it or have it looked at. Then we noticed the leaks in the ceiling. One in the bedroom, one in the bathroom, and one in the hall. We patched them as best we could ourselves.

The furnace and water heater went out this past summer, and we discovered that the water heater was where two of the ceiling leaks were coming from (bedroom/bathroom). We replaced the water heater, and my parents got approved by the city for LEAP (housing needs aid) to have the furnace replaced, but it will be at least February before anything can be done. We’ve been using a couple of portable radiators in the meantime. The bathroom sink has developed a leak… Every time I look around, there’s another issue that needs dealt with.

All my parents s.s.i. income currently goes to lot rent, utilities, medical bills, and some food. We pitch in on utilities, food, pay for their phone, the internet, and transportation. they have no other financial re/sources, which is why we’ve been paying for the repairs that come up.

After much searching, we finally found a retirement community my parents can afford on their s.s.i. and that meets their needs: medical staff, appointment arrangements, transportation, meal services, etc… Getting my parents into the assisted living residence would mean I would be available to work full time again, and we wouldn’t need to cover bills for them as things like phone, cable, internet, utilities, etc… would be included with the new accommodations. They also won’t be responsible for any upkeep or maintenance.

We need to secure our own place before we can relocate my parents, as we can’t afford to be here without them. We’d be making ourselves instantly homeless. We can’t save up down-payment and moving costs when we keep having to repair things that can’t wait. We’re stuck in a loop. Limping along a lost cause, in hopes that we get a long enough stretch of no repair expenses to get out. But, the repairs keep coming up faster than we can save, and closer together, the longer we go.

This home will not be able to be sold after we move out. It’s too old and has too much (major) damage. We’ll actually need to pay to have it removed unless we can find someone who will remove it in trade for the scrap material they can salvage from it.

I get nervous any time someone comes to repair anything, that they’ll say it violates codes, is too far gone, and we have to vacate immediately.

———–

Our financial situation:

We qualify for and use medicaid, but make a few hundred dollars a month too much to receive any other aid.

Currently, we bring in $5000+/- a month. ~ That will increase when I have more availability (I am no longer caretaking). I will be able to work full-time again.

We currently have $76,500 in debt (not counting my student loans ~ $52,000).
me:
$4500 loan to fix my car (catalytic converter and a couple of other issues)
$1400 dentist bill
$600 credit card used to get clothes and school supplies

husband:
$50,000 loans (3) (car, repairs, bills, etc…)
$20,000 credit cards (2) (repairs, bills, etc…)

We pay $2,600 a month towards this debt.

We currently have the following bills: phones, internet, car insurance, food, gas

We pay $2000+/- a month towards these bills.

income: $5,000 — payments: $4,600+/-

This leaves around $400+/- a month left over.

Our assets: Our cars (2). Worth about $15,000, together.

———–

The boost we desperately need:

$10-15k = pay down some debt and have more stable grounds to work from. Deposit on a place, moving costs, start our son in therapy, and a small emergency fund. Things would be tight but manageable.

Anything would help. $15,000 would be life changing. $30,000 + would be an absolute blessing. $76,000 would eliminate all debt except my student loans. $126,000 would be a clean slate.

——–

We were doing good, then one thing after another came up, and while we were keeping afloat for a while, we’re starting to go under in a way I can see completely sinking us. At the same time, we might be able to file for bankruptcy and scrape together enough to get out… Anything wrong with this home could go irreparably wrong, at any time, leaving us on the streets if it does, and further crippling our efforts. Winter is getting into full swing (Colorado), making it more likely that something else will reach its breaking point and that it would render the home uninhabitable is more likely than not. If it is repairable is the ongoing gamble.

We need out of here. This home is an albatross. We need a boost. If we could get our feet on solid ground, we’d be okay. We just can’t quite get out of the pit fast enough alone. My son needs out of here. There is not enough room in this place for him (or any of us) to have privacy. There’s not enough room for him to have friends over. My parents need out of here. The assisted living residence is so much better accommodated for their needs, and the staff is far more experienced than I am. I don’t believe we have the time to save up. At this point, I think we’re just going to repeat the cycle until the final emergency completes the enviable crash. We went from okay to maintaining, but now we’re sinking. We need help. Before we drown. Please.

Again, thank you for taking the time to read this and for any help you might be able to give us.

Thank you. XOXO

I need help urgently: My life is in danger

I’ve been living through a terrible situation for quite a few years, but it has reached a point where I really need help. My life started going downhill from a young age, as I developed severe problems that I couldn’t manage at the time, and they continue to haunt me, preventing me from leading a normal life.

Before the age of 10, I began experiencing severe depression caused by bullying, lack of support and understanding from my family, and numerous insecurities that made me feel worse about myself over time. This made me more sensitive, leading to social anxiety, low self-esteem, unhealthy habits, a loss of social connections, and suicidal thoughts.

Due to the lack of support from my family, I attempted to escape from home several times, spending a lot of time alone in my room, worsening my mental state. The few times I felt capable of talking to my family about how I felt, they not only failed to support me but also used it to belittle my feelings and insult me. I’ve even received threats from them to kick me out of the house while I still depend on them or even to harm me if I don’t obey their every command.

I’ve had several suicide attempts, but they haven’t succeeded due to the sensitivity I’ve developed towards pain and death. Despite coming close to the point of no return several times, I tried to think less about it, hoping that someday I might receive some help and get out of this situation, but ironically, I was being too optimistic.

I am currently 23 years old and live with my mother, the family member with whom I have spent the most time and who has caused me the most traumas and problems. She shows no consideration for me and lives her life without caring about how her decisions affect me. Sometimes, she invades my personal space to control the organization and ambiance of my room since she is extremely perfectionistic. Other times, she invites many of her friends over for hours, with whom I don’t want to interact, and they stay in the public areas that I have to pass through to get to the bathroom or kitchen. Sometimes, I even refrain from eating, drinking, or using the bathroom for hours just to avoid uncomfortable situations where my mother belittles me in front of them due to my lifestyle.

Initially, I was going to study a higher degree in computer science, but limited slots at the center I wanted to attend prevented me from doing so for several years. This year, my mother decided to retire and demanded that I find any job immediately. If I don’t, she threatened to kick me out of the house, even though I haven’t become independent yet, citing excessive expenses she claims I incur. I would be willing to reduce my expenses significantly, but she seems more interested in getting rid of me than finding another solution.

Therefore, I had to send resumes to every possible place within my city, with very limited experience and unable to travel beyond due to the lack of a driver’s license or personal vehicle. I had a call and an interview from two different places, but I wasn’t hired at either. Now that my mother has retired, she recently learned that certain foreigners she helped formalize their nationality in our country ran a restaurant in our city. She asked them if they could hire me, and they agreed, saying they would train me even without experience. I’ve been working there for almost a month now, and the experience couldn’t be more unpleasant.

To start, I haven’t signed any contract with them, so there’s no assurance that I’ll get paid when the month is completed. They did mention they were ‘preparing it,’ but I’m still waiting, and in almost a month, they haven’t informed me of anything. On the first day, they were understanding of my lack of experience, but from the second/third day onward, they started demanding a lot, openly complaining whenever I make a mistake, and constantly comparing me to them, despite them having years of experience there and me struggling to adapt to their pace. Some speak to me condescendingly due to my lack of experience, making jokes about firing me. In addition to the psychological burden, I have to stand for around 5 consecutive hours without sitting, which I’m not accustomed to and is physically exhausting. Essentially, I am significantly deteriorating my mental and physical health for a job that doesn’t even guarantee payment.

One day when I went to work, I almost broke down in tears from the stress, but luckily, I managed to hold it together, and every day is equally intense. Since starting this job, I’ve had suicidal thoughts more frequently again, feeling that at any moment, I might lose my sanity and act on them.

I can’t afford a private psychologist, and my mother doesn’t help me. Free psychologists are limited and only recommend medication or give advice that isn’t helpful.

I’m on the verge between my current job, the pressure my mother puts on me, and everything that goes through my mind on a daily basis. The only way I could redirect my life is by having more economic freedom to invest in something that provides more stability and doesn’t destroy me like my current job does. I have an idea in my head that has a good chance of success if it were possible, but for that, I need time and money.

I’ve been playing the piano since I was very young, and over time, I stopped going to classes and started playing the music I liked on my own. I know that if I could play in a highly crowded public place in my area, I could earn a substantial income, as I have done it before on special occasions. It’s something I have special confidence in, as I have been playing the piano for over 16 years.

The issue is that I need to acquire a portable piano to transport it in my current conditions. It’s something that exists and is of quality, but it costs around $1000, and there would likely be additional costs for public transportation and piano support. It’s not something I see as possible in the short term. I feel mentally unstable, and I truly believe that if something doesn’t change soon, I’ll end up taking my own life, or I’ll die homeless on the street with nowhere to go.

I don’t like having to ask for help, but I really need it. The fact that someone takes the effort to read all of this is already admirable, but if someone also wants to support me financially with what I need to improve my situation, no matter how small the contribution, I will be eternally grateful. Thank you very much.

NEED HOPE NEED HELP

I am a middle aged woman who is struggling to find the light at the end of the tunnel, my family has had an extremely rough 2023. Starting with a new diagnosed heart condition that put me in the hospital that almost took my life without having many symptoms. That has caused me to spiral into a constant state of fear and panic. Our car broke down and we used our tax money to buy one on Facebook but got completely ripped off for the entire $4000 and with our credit not being good we had to go finance a car with a huge payment we really couldn’t afford. But had limited options and no car. My husband has tried to keep our family going while going through this with me. And we have a 7 year old daughter who has seen my health and mindset change dramatically with little understanding. I was discharged from the hospital with a wearable defibrillator that did not help my fears. I ended up wrecking the car i already struggled to afford before I could get the money together for the sales tax and licensing fees. Insurance covered it but the money was just not there to cover it all. My health insurance dropped me due to my husband’s overtime income putting us over the income requirement. I don’t have a doctor now, so no medication to treat my high blood pressure. The stress is causing my relationships to suffer, my stress is thru the roof and by heart is not healthy. And now it’s worse, I hit a deer early in the morning on Thanksgiving. Never being involved a animal incident before I was freaked out. Didn’t make a report, only witnesses I had were my husband and daughter who were passengers. Car was not bashed up much and I was not far from home so I drove it there. I filed a claim with my insurance company and they estimated the damages to be $5,000. But since I can’t prove anything with a report or witness they denied my claim and canceled my policy. My grandmother passed in November, then my father in law out of town passed shortly after. We were without a car and rented one thinking we would get reimbursed. So we could attend services and travel to the other one. Then my husbands stepfather passed when getting back from his father’s out of town services. The lost wages my husband had as a result of the accident and family deaths on top of Christmas, and our already behind payments on the car that is now wrecked and potentially a complete loss has put us in a much worse position. I am trying to find a way out of this crisis before the stress takes me out. Please help us our situation. Sometimes we can’t find the answers to our own problems and need ask for help, i am asking for financial help, but also asking for directions to prevent this from happening again.

I just turned 70 in October and just lost my job

I just turned 70 in October and was working through a program that helps seniors get back into the work force through a 4 year program. My time expired last week. I had bills that were due last week and I took out a loan at the bank right before I was paid off to take care of some credit card dept I accumulated from caring for my elderly companion that had a stroke in Feb. I have been looking frantically for days trying to find work to help pay off my loan and get by until I can find a job. Is there any way you could help me and my companion get by for a few months with 10K? I will not be greedy, we just need a hand. I will continue to seek employment because I live working. Thank you, Michelle Holland PayPal is mick02181999@yahoo.com God Bless you

Need help with buying car for transportation for work

Hello, my name is Stephanie, and I am in desperate need of a getting a car for transportation to work and paying off debt accrued from my divorce. I was in a domestic abusive relationship with my ex-husband up until August of 2022. I finally got the courage to leave but not before my ex-husband managed to take everything from me. In the process of leaving him, I lost my car because he completely destroyed it so it would no longer run. He cleared out our joint bank account which caused me to lose my job due to lack of transportation and lose our home because I couldn’t make rent in time. I moved in with friends but had to relocate in moving with them. I found that my friend and her family were coming into my room when i wasn’t home and when I confronted them, they denied everything and moved without even saying anything. I came home from work to find the house completely empty. I have been working but all of my money has gone to court costs and paying my attorney fees. I have debt from maxing out my credit card to help pay for my attorney fees and I currently don’t make enough to pay for everything with my one job and I still pay for transportation to make it to work. If I had a vehicle, I would have the proper transportation to get back and forth to work and be able to get a second job so I can work towards paying off all of my debt. The total amount I would need to pay everything off and be able to get a cheap vehicle would be $10,000. I have tried getting a loan and I have tried reaching out for help but have had no luck so far. If I were able to get the proper funds it would help so much, and I would be truly grateful. I know this is a long shot but I don’t know what else to do at this point. I honestly just need a miracle and am praying that someone can please help me. My PayPal account is:paypal.me/SSimmons952

Veteran helpless

Recently been permanently deactivated as a lyft driver.  My uber and other gig apps I lost access last year.  A result of fraudulent reports from riders/ customers who wanted a refund.  I just needed the work to last a bit longer.  Tried repeatedly to regain access and it’s no use.

I need groceries like yesterday.  There’s nothing left but few canned goods

I’ve never asked for help like this in my life and I’m very embarrassed to have to do so.  I’m swallowing my pride cause my family is more important.  Currently searching for a alternative means. It’s A difficult task being a disabled veteran of both Iraq and Afghanistan wars.  My services to a infantry company as a senior line medic led to unemployable with total and permanent disability rating of 100% by the V.A..

I can put off the couple bills I still have to the next month.  I appreciate any help.

I AM IN NEED OF HELP

Hello, I am writing here to request funds for a variety of things. Since September of 2019, I threw my back out and was later diagnosed with Arthritis in my lower spine. Which also caused me to have to work jobs that do not require me to work on my feet. Since then, I have been in between jobs due to me not being suitable enough to fulfill the obligations of the job. Also in April of 2021, I was granted my divorce from my ex-husband. That and a combination of things all just began to spiral out of control and landed me in a huge amount of debt. Since then, I have fallen behind in all my household bills due to me not qualifying for funding from agencies, or they have been running out of funds. So now, I am here, asking for a total of $50k to cover all outstanding bills and to repair my roof that sustained damage from a tornado that hit my town back in July of 2022 and again August of 2023, also to possibly get a car, and to help buy my children clothes and school uniforms per the requirements of their school that they attend. I am also close to eviction due to not being able to pay all my rent in full every month, also my household bills and other debt are doing nothing but getting higher and higher. I am losing sleep, I was diagnosed with Hyperglycemia and Type 2 Diabetes back in Nov of 2022, So, that is requiring me to change my diet, and we all know how expensive that can be when you are forced to eat right. I really need a car so that I do not have to be out in the cold at the bus stops and trains in the extreme cold and heat. Because, where I live, the bus stops do not have seats at all of them, and they sometimes do not show up on time, or even at all for that matter, which causes me to constantly beg for rides and Ubers from others. Also last year, in November I had a storm to cause a power outage at my home that was due to the fault off the power company, and they are now pussy footing around by not reimbursing me for the damages that incurred to my home. So, in all, I need help, and I am seriously running out of resources to keep me and my children in my home and to keep my utilities on. My landlord just told me as of today that she cannot wait anymore, so I may be facing eviction soon. I am really hoping that anyone can help. I am behind and I am so tired of stressing out because I simply cannot make ends meet. Thank you in advance for taking the time out to read my story. My PayPal link is Paypal.me/Marquita136. Also, if you have any questions, please reach out to me and I will happily show proof of anything that is discussed here in this request letter. Again, thanks again.
