Hi! I’m a young adult and I’ve been hustling to set myself up for financial success since I was 16 working in dingy pizza parlors and scanning documents at different kinds of offices. I’ve always prided myself on being hardworking and making ends meet, as well as setting aside money for a fruitful future.
However, in the past 2 years I’ve fallen on incredibly hard times. I was laid off twice, moved twice to places where I know nobody, had two major medical events including a painful miscarriage, and have been heavily affected by the rising cost of living. Right now, I’m trying to move back in with my parents to save money, but I don’t have the means to make it happen. I’ve been doing side gigs, selling items I own, and I was even forced to liquidate my retirement in order to pay rent, bills, and looming medical expenses. Truly, for every step I take forward, I take three steps back. I can’t keep up.
I’m incredibly independent and hate asking for help, but I’m running out of options. I need to be able to move ASAP and pay my overdue bills. Each day is filled with stress and uncertainty, but I have hope that things will turn around for the better for me.

I am writing because I am trying to get a house but need help on paying off my credit card debt.  I work in an office as a full-time employee still not being able to make ends meet with low wages and even  work as a door dasher on the side.

Still, it would help me out so much if you could please give me some relief with my bills and so I can get my car repaired. Currently, anytime it rains, I have a terrible leak through my hood release button area on the driver’s side interior and use a container to catch all the water I can. I also need my rear axle repaired and something else with my struts or suspension.

I have been living in an apartment for 10 years and just turned 60, trying to get a home that I can afford and enjoy.  My ex bought 2 dogs with me years ago and has left them with me. I adore them and also want a place where they can just run and enjoy a backyard.

I do not like asking for help, but I heard that there are people out there that are willing to help others and I would so appreciate anything you can give.

Senior Mother needing help paying my mortgage

Hello I am needing help with my mortgage payment. I recently find myself having to care for my adult daughter with mental health issues she is no longer able to continue to care for herself and her daughter my granddaughter. I live on a fixed income with help from the state for caring for my daughter however the money only go’s so far, her having no where else to go she needed to stay with me but I lived in an appartment and she could not stay there because of her eviction,  she was no longer able to pay her rent in her own appartment, she lost her job she was nolonger to work due to her mental issues. She has applied for SS but they denied her, so I had to find another place to live so I didnt get evicted too having her there. Hi, I am not sure how to word this so I will just give it a go and see how it ends. It all started about a year ago when my job laid me off at the beginning of April. I had a part time job to help but it was not close to being able to pay the bills of my fulltime one. I quickly got behind on everything.  I had a hard time picking a category for this because honestly, I fit more than one.

Yes I have dental work that I have been needing to get done for about two years and yes my creditors are calling me every day. The most important thing right now is, I have had to move in with my best friend because the house I have been renting needs electrical work and the owner is not sure if she is going to fix the house and is thinking of selling. Well, I can’t stay with my best friend forever because she really does not have the room. I need the money to move and keep my creditors from garnishing the money I am making. My car  needs a battery, my bank account is very close to zero and I have a cough that I have had for over a year that I should have had checked out a long time ago. I know, cry me a river right?

I do still have my part time job so I do have some income but not nearly enough to be able to do what I need to do. I have been applying to so many jobs and not hearing anything. If I could get a battery for my car, oh and a new tire because it has a flat,  I could at least do some gig delivery work until I find something.

Need Help until Jobs start

Hello, On May 1, 2025, I did a volunteer resignation from my job amid layoffs. Just 12 days later, my husband was fired out of nowhere on 5-12-25. We lived on the property where he worked so we had 14 days to vacate the property. I received $5000 of severance pay, but it cost us 7K to move because we had to pay deposit and rent of $2347. My hubby is 62 and could not move our things, so we had to get movers which was all of his last check. I accepted an offer for a job starting 6-30, and he has second of many interviews next Tuesday. I have stretched the $500 I had left for weeks. I just need a few hundred dollars to get us until my next pay day. We also have the second month rent free, so we will have time to recover.

Need help getting car fixed

I got into an accident a few months ago, which wasn’t my fault. The guys insurance paid for a rental for me for about a month. Since then I haven’t had a car until a friend talked me into buying a salvaged vehicle, I believe he was tired of driving me around looking at cars, so I bought a Gmc because I didn’t want to be without transportation any more. The car had writing on the windshield that says runs good and cold AC, which was a must. My last cars AC didn’t work and the summers where I live stay around 108 + every day and nights don’t cool off either. It’s like the desert here. In fact it’s the second sunnyest city in America. I don’t do well in the heat. Also they cleared the codes so there wasn’t a check engine light until the next day, of course. Then I find out that the car has to get a brake and light check a smog check a VIN number check by CHP and the registration. I paid the registration fees and found out that the brake and light check automatically fails due to the blinker switch not working, I got that fixed, then I find out the heater doesn’t work but that got fixed. So the car wound not pass smog because the check engine light is on and it needs a new cataletic converter. So it needs the cat. Converter, an o2 sensor, a tire, the AC fixed and I still need to pay the chp, the mechanic the smog check and brake and light checked.  And after clearing the codes after the repairs they want me to drive it a couple drive cycles through which is about 100 to 200  miles, twice possibly and fill the tank before I try the smog again. The gas alone is going to cost a fortune because it’s a big SUV. I really should have listened to my intuition and gut feeling but I felt a bit pressured at the time. So now I’m not knowing how I’m going to get all that done because I’m living on SSDI and I’m very low income and I’m also trying to move out of this apartment into a small house. I feel very stuck. So if anybody knows where I’m coming from and can afford to donate to my cause it would be greatly appreciated from the bottom of my heart. Thank you

I am a 48 year old female that works full time and takes care of my aging father. I can usually figure out a solution to any problem but I am at a loss here. On March 2 of this year, we unexpectedly lost my mom who was not only my rock but my best friend…This situation has placed a significant strain on my finances and emotional well-being. Fix damage to my house
