hoping to fill this empty nest with renewed faith and purpose…

Dear kind stranger,

I hope this letter finds you in good health and spirits. I am writing to you with the hope of seeking your assistance during a challenging period in my life. Once a successful single mother of two sons, I have faced numerous difficulties and have recently found myself struggling with severe empty nest syndrome and other hardships.

Having lost both my biological and adopted parents, as well as my home, I am now living out of a broken-down van. Despite my efforts and work ethic, I am unable to secure employment due to lack of reliable transportation. This has led me to the brink of losing my storage unit, which contains the remnants of my past life.

I am humbly reaching out for any support you may be able to provide, so that I may purchase reliable transportation {around $1500} and make a substantial payment on my storage {that is currently $1485 to regain access} which in turn will be beneficial once I’m able to provide a home for myself. I have never sought financial assistance before and confess that it feels quite humiliating. However, as my son relocates closer with his family, I am urgently determined to regain stability and contribute to having my own household once again as well as the confidence I was once filled with as a gainfully employed single mother I took much pride in being.

Any help or guidance you can offer would be immensely appreciated. My Cash app is $newyorkgypsie should you decide to help. Thank you so much for considering my situation.

Sincerely,
Brooklynn

Need help catching up on bills after a hard and struggling summer.

I am asking for help for my family as we have fallen behind on our bills. This summer (May), my husband got seriously injured and was unable to work. It was at the same time that I resigned from my job, not knowing he was going to get hurt. He eneded up going to his dr to get a steroid injection in his back to relieve the pain. Unfortunately it did not take. He went back a week later to try again and it still did not work. His pain got worse and worse. He was unable to work because of the excruciating pain. He was off work from May until August. He ended up exhausting all his PTO. I couldn’t go back to work due to having to care for my husband and our 2 and 4 year old children. We fell behind in our car payment, rent, and overall expenses. On top of this, we received a call from our landlord that he was increasing our rent almost $500!! We were already struggling paying the original amount, there was no way we could pay more. So we had to vacate our condo by Sept 1. The date he informed us was July 20th. So we had a little over 30 days to pack, find a place, and come up with security deposit, rent at old place and the new place, as well as, moving expenses. We went through all the savings we had. Fast forward, my husband is back to work, but because we fell so far behind, we are playing catch up. We are currently 3 months behind on our car payment, rent was due last week and is now accruing late fees. Internet bill, gas bill, electric bill, student loan, car insurance, and phone bill are all due now! On top of groceries, gas in vehicles, and both cars need oil changes. Also, my husband is on major medications due to his severe back issues, Afib heart issues, and high blood pressure. His meds cost almost $150 a month. We can’t catch a break. We need help badly before we lose everything. I am applying for work now, so hopefully something will come through, but that still takes awhile. We are in need ASAP. Any help would be greatly appreciated!! Thank you for all you do! https://paypal.me/ATucker430

Nursing to Make a Difference

My name is Faye! I am a nursing student attending Valparaiso University. I am currently in my second year of my BSN program with the intent of continuing on to the DNP program. One step at a time though.  I am doing very well currently with my grades and I am enjoying the program. It is challenging and at times overwhelming but I am ever encouraged to keep pushing forward.  I am employed part-time and it honestly isn’t a ‘bad’ job if there is such a thing, it just does not pay very well but they work around my schedule which allows me time to focus on my studies. I have applied and received Financial Aid from FAFSA and what i have left to cover is around $21,000 ( 7,000 per year). I do not have a specific goal of money to raise from donations but i am appreciative of anything given. Donations  will be used directly for tuition. I am very excited to be on this journey and I being taught by some pretty amazing Nursing professionals ( i love my professors!) and if i could become half as good of a nurse as they are I will undoubtedly make a difference  and that it my ultimate goal, to make a difference. Thank You for your consideration, Cheers!

Injured July 4th and now need surgery

Hi! My name is Brittany and on July 4th of this year I fell while taking a run. I fell and it resulted in multiple tears in muscles and tendons surrounding my elbow. The doctors were surprised I did not dislocate my elbow with the injuries obtained.

At the time of the fall, I did not have insurance. (any insurance i get now will not cover as it’s a “pre existing condition”) I have been going to occupational therapy 2 times a week every week since in hopes it will naturally repair. I started in July and now it’s November.

I now need to have surgery to repair the torn muscles and tendons. I already owe $15,000 for the therapy received from the hospital, and now looking at just below $20,000 for surgery. I have a payment plan to repay the $15,000 at only $100 a month as that’s all I can afford.

The hospital will not move forward with the surgery until I have my current balance paid. After surgery I will still owe the hospital $20,000. I’m asking to raise the $15,000 needed to just get the surgery done. I’ll have to be ok with being $20,000 in debt after surgery.

I need this Surgery as soon as possible; I’m 7 weeks pregnant and the more time that passes the less likely i will be to getting the surgery till after I have my baby. If i don’t have it before the baby is due, I will not be able to pick up my child and care for it independently.

Thank you to anyone who takes the time to read this and I greatly appreciate anyone who is able to help, even if it’s only a little bit.

At wit’s end

Firstly, thank you for even giving me the time of day. As the title says, I’m at wit’s end, this year has not been kind. While I have overcome so many personal trials and tribulations throughout my entire life, as of now, financially things have become near impossible. This is my desperate plea for aid. I am jobless, feeling hopeless, and just need something to help while I try to get things back together. It’s all genuine and real.

With that all being said, I’ll start with the amount. In total I need $30,000.
Do I need all of it right away? No, thank goodness for that. But it’s the amount I’m stuck with that I’ve been paying off over time. It used to be more, believe it or not. As such, anything helps. $1, $10, even $100. I’m just throwing out the total because, well, it’s the number that haunts me and I want it gone. Doesn’t hurt to ask, right?

So about me.

To start, I was abused by my parents. Mental and physical beatings were commonplace. I won’t go into details, but know that the motion of a high five scared me a lot. I moved out to save myself. That is where my debt comes from. Moving across country isn’t easy and I was desperate. Since moving out, it’s been a battle with myself to learn how to love myself and find my worth. I’m managing. I was humbled very quickly while homeless, mistreated by “friends” who really just took my money. When you’re desperate, you don’t really think twice of what’s going on till afterwards, huh?

I worked at a kennel for a while. Loved cats and dogs. I left that job to be a receptionist at an OB/GYN. Pay was good, opportunity to get into healthcare, I was ecstatic. I worked there till August of this year. As time passes, people come and go. It became very cliquey at the start of 2025. I learned the hard way that HR was there for the company, not its employees. Despite the fact my coworker harassed me, isolated me, and eventually drove me to a suicide attempt, my workplace did not care for me. Meetings were promised but never made, changes promised but never occurred. So I quit. I can find another job, I don’t get another life.

Since then, it’s been hard. Really, really hard. It feels like all that progress and hard work went down the drain. My savings is practically nothing while trying to pay debts, the job market is in shambles. I moved out and quit a horrible job so I could live, but without money, living is so, so hard.

Hence why I’m here, pleading for any generosity. Begging for money. If you can spare anything, heck, if you can pay a bulk of this, I’d be so, so thankful. Please help me.

And honestly, thank you for reading this. It helps to think I’m not alone.

Help Launch a Life-Changing Online Academy That Teaches People to Work from Home

Hi there,

My name is Patrick, and I’m launching something I know will have a massive impact on the lives of thousands of people who are hungry for a new direction, a second chance, or simply a better way to provide for themselves and their families — all from home.

It’s called The Loan Broker Academy — and I’m asking for your help to bring it to life.

Why I’m Here Asking for Help

I’m seeking $7,500 in donations to help finish building and launching a world-class online education platform that teaches people how to become commercial & business loan brokers — a highly profitable, in-demand career that can be done completely remotely.

This isn’t some gimmicky online hustle or get-rich-quick scheme.

This is a real, professional career path — and our program is designed to train people to step into that career with knowledge, confidence, support, and real tools to succeed.

But I can’t do it alone.

What Is The Loan Broker Academy?

The Loan Broker Academy (LBA) is a comprehensive, all-in-one training and coaching platform that walks students step-by-step through how to become successful business and commercial real estate loan brokers.

It’s the kind of opportunity most people don’t even know exists — and I want to change that.

Once launched, members will get:

  • Full access to our on-demand course modules
  • Weekly group coaching and live Q&A calls
  • One-on-one coaching, mentorship and support
  • A professionally branded website and email
  • A CRM system and lender database
  • Direct support from an actual brokerage to help close real deals and earn commissions — even while they’re still learning

And the best part? It can all be done from home, on their own time.

This Isn’t Just an Idea — I’ve Done It Before

Between 2019 and 2024, I co-ran a similar training program where we averaged 10–12 new student enrollments every single month. It worked.

I saw firsthand how this kind of knowledge and mentorship could change people’s lives. People who were struggling, stuck in dead-end jobs, or just searching for a new way forward were suddenly learning how to build six-figure businesses of their own.

Now, I’ve taken everything I learned from that program — what worked, what didn’t, what could be done better — and I’m building a new and improved version that will be second to none.

With access to an existing commercial loan brokerage that will serve as the funding arm for our students, the infrastructure is already in place. I even have a key team member managing the brokerage, so I can focus 100% on launching the Academy.

All that’s missing now… is the funding to cross the finish line.

Why This Matters

We live in a world where more and more people are looking for ways to earn a living that doesn’t involve commuting, punching a clock, or relying on someone else to “give them a raise.”

People want flexibility. Purpose. A way to be their own boss.

The Loan Broker Academy offers exactly that.

It opens the door to a high-income, remote career in one of the most lucrative industries on the planet — commercial finance.

And the best part…AI can’t replace the human-aspect this business thrives upon.

It’s designed especially for people who want to start something of their own but don’t know where to begin. People who are willing to learn, ready to work, but just need the roadmap.

And I want to be the one to give it to them.

How the Donations Will Be Used

Every dollar will go directly toward:

  • Finalizing course development
  • Setting up the online learning platform
  • Creating the student portal and CRM access
  • Licensing software and payment systems
  • Producing marketing materials for launch

I’m not asking for ongoing donations. I’m asking for just enough to finish what I’ve already started — and once this is launched, it becomes a self-sustaining platform that helps people for years to come.

Why You Might Want to Help

Maybe you’ve struggled to find your own opportunity.

Maybe you know someone who deserves a second chance — a veteran, a single parent, or someone hit hard by the economy.

Maybe you just like to help people who are out there genuinely trying to build something real.

Whatever your reason, I can tell you this: your donation will directly help launch a platform that helps others succeed.

I’m not asking for a handout. I’m asking for a hand in building something meaningful.

Bonus: Helping Veterans

Once we’re live, a portion of profits from the Loan Broker Academy will be regularly donated to an organization that supports U.S. veterans — such as the Wounded Warrior Project.

We’ll also be offering discounted enrollment to veterans transitioning out of service who are looking to start something new.

So in a way, your donation doesn’t just help me — it helps create a ripple effect that touches many lives.

Want to Help?

If you’d like to support this project, you can make a donation via the secure PayPal link below:

When making your donation, you’ll have the opportunity to receive regular updates about the project, so you can see firsthand what you’ve helped build.

Even $100 or $500 makes a difference.

Once I hit the $7,500 goal, I’ll remove this post. I don’t want more than I need. Just enough to bring this project to life.

Thank you for reading…Thank you for considering it…And thank you — from the bottom of my heart — if you choose to be part of it.

Let’s launch something amazing together.

—
Patrick
Founder, The Loan Broker Academy

P.S. If you are among the first to see this, and are interested enough to donate the entire amount, I’d be more than happy to discuss an equity arrangement. Simply make your donation in the amount of $1 and be sure to leave your email.

Recovering from Brain Surgery

Hi!

Earlier this year, I had brain surgery that saved my life and kept me from becoming permanently disabled, but left me unable to work for several months. During recovery, I went into debt just to cover bills and support my family.

I’m now back to work and applying to medical schools to prepare for my future, but the financial strain from this year still makes it hard to stay ahead of payments and afford things for my baby daughter who was born just a few months before my surgery.

I’m asking for help to pay down the debts from my recovery so I can focus on supporting my family and pursuing my dream of becoming a doctor. Any contribution means so much, thank you for your kindness and support.

Help Me Complete My Master’s Degree to Empower Students Through Technology

Hello kind and generous souls,

I’m an educator with a heart for helping every child discover their potential. Teaching has always been more than a profession to me; it’s my purpose. Every day, I strive to make learning meaningful, inclusive, and empowering for my students, especially those who often feel left behind.

Why I’m Asking for Help

I am currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Instructional Design and Educational Technology. This program is helping me grow into the kind of educator who can blend creativity, innovation, and compassion in the classroom. Through this journey, I’m learning how to design technology-driven lessons that reach learners at all levels, from struggling readers to advanced thinkers.

However, despite my dedication and careful budgeting, the cost of tuition and academic materials has become difficult to manage. I’m reaching out for assistance to cover my remaining tuition balance so I can finish what I’ve started and continue making a difference in my students’ lives.

How Your Support Makes a Difference

Your contribution will help me:

  • Pay the remaining balance for my graduate tuition and course fees

  • Access essential learning software and resources to support my capstone project

  • Continue creating equitable and engaging digital learning experiences for students

Every dollar brings me closer to my goal of becoming a more effective educator,  one who uses technology not just as a tool, but as a bridge that connects students to success, confidence, and opportunity.

My Vision

My dream is to design learning experiences that inspire curiosity, creativity, and resilience in every child. I believe technology can close achievement gaps, spark motivation, and open doors for students who might otherwise feel invisible in traditional classrooms.

A Heartfelt Thank You

Completing this degree isn’t just about advancing my career; it’s about becoming the kind of educator today’s students truly need. Your kindness and belief in my mission mean more than words can express.

Thank you for taking the time to read my story, to share it, and to support this journey of growth and purpose. Together, we can shape a brighter future, one learner at a time.

With sincere gratitude,
A devoted educator striving to make a difference

“Help a Disabled Mother Survive, Save Her Dog, and Keep Her Only Home”

Hi, my name is Cathrine, and I am humbly reaching out because life has pushed me to a place I never imagined I’d be. I am living out of my truck with my dog and my son, holding them close through cold nights and praying for enough gas to keep the heat running. My truck has become our only home, our only warmth, and the only thing keeping us from being out on the street.

I am disabled, currently waiting on a decision for disability benefits. I have a serious heart condition — I survived open-heart surgery once, and now I need another surgery, but I have no medical insurance. I only have one lung, and every day I fight to breathe, to stay warm, and to stay alive.

Four years ago, my husband was deported and taken from our family. I was left alone to raise our son. Soon after, I was in a devastating head-on collision that left me in a wheelchair for two years. I fought hard to

walk again, and I’m still fighting — but now, I’m doing it without a home, without income, and without family support.

The little I have left is slipping away. I must come up with $500 by November 14th to save my storage unit. Everything I own — my documents, my clothes, my memories — are in that storage unit. If I lose it,

I lose the last pieces of my life before everything fell apart.

Our dog, who has been with us for 10 years, is my son’s beloved companion. We adopted him together a decade ago, and he has been our protector and comfort through every hardship. Now he is very sick and suffering, and it breaks our hearts to watch him in pain. It feels like he is holding on just to keep protecting us, even though he can barely stand. We are devastated that we can’t give him a ypeaceful, gentle goodbye.t

Additionally, the truck we live in is becoming unsafe. My rims are damaged, and my tires are bald, dry-rotted, and falling apart. Every drive is a risk, and without safe rims and tires, we have nowhere to sleep safely.

Right now, I am asking for help with:

  • ✅ $500 by Nov. 14 to save my storage unit
  • ✅ New rims and safe tires for my truck — our only shelter
  • ✅ Food and gas to make it through the cold nights
  • ✅ A peaceful, humane goodbye for our dog of 10 years
  • ✅ Basic living expenses while I wait for disability
  • ✅ A chance to give my son and my grandchildren a small Christmas, so they don’t feel forgotten during the holidays

This is the hardest thing I’ve ever had to write. I am doing everything I can to hold on, but I can’t do this alone anymore. If you can help in any way — even a few dollars — it will directly help me survive and keep my little family safe.

And if you can’t donate, your prayers, your kindness, and sharing my story mean more than I can put into words. Your prayers truly keep me going.

Thank you for reading my story. Thank you for caring. And thank you for helping me hold on during the darkest time of my life.

With all my heart,

Cathrine

With a Little Help, I Can Get Through This

Hi everyone,

I never imagined I’d be in a position where I’d have to ask for help like this. Life has thrown me some challenges that I just can’t overcome alone, and right now, I’m doing everything I can to stay strong and keep moving forward.

Over the past few months, my work hours have decreased.  It is the slow season at my job, and I just haven’t been getting as many hours.  I’ve been trying hard to get another source of income, but nothing has come through yet.  Despite my best efforts to keep up with everything, I’ve fallen behind on basic expenses like rent and utilities. It’s been tough, emotionally, mentally, and financially.

I’m reaching out because I’m at a point where I can’t do this without support. Your kindness and generosity would help me keep a roof over my head.

I know times are tough for everyone, and asking for help is never easy. But any contribution, no matter how small, would mean the world to me. Even sharing this page or offering words of encouragement would make a difference.

Thank you for taking the time to read my story, for caring, and for helping me believe that better days are ahead. From the bottom of my heart, thank you.

With gratitude and hope,

Pamela Wirkkala

Aspiring to be more than a prostitute

Hello it’s pretty difficult to fit in all the details of my situation, but long story short I began a massage business from my home, one thing led to another and before I knew it it became a happy ending business. Basically because I’m a single mother I don’t receive child support or government benefits so that was in my way of being independent and financially free, well I was busted back in 2019 I believe. And since that time I had worked really hard to put my life back together, I began working as a legal secretary which still didn’t make enough but it was better than nothing I worked and studied hard and eventually got my LDA, which is like an independent paralegal. People usually use an LDA to go out on their own establishing in a business preparing people’s cases and legal documents without the supervision of an attorney, the LDA registration in California allows you to do so. After getting my LDA I got a job offer as a legal assistant at a law corporation, it paid more but it barely covered everything I was still living check to check and I worked there for 2 years and my LDA had since expired and needs to be renewed which will be about $500 for the bond and registration fees. Just last month I was laid off which leaves me to where I am, on complete panic, although I’m eligible for unemployment I quickly realized it’s only 1/3 of my original income and if I was barely making it then there’s no way I’m going to make it now, I’ve already got disconnected notices from my utility company, rent is due and I don’t have it. I’ve passed the time the past couple weeks building a website to launch an LDA business which will cost money to do for things like registration fees, business license, bonding and marketing to get the name out there. Well long story short I’ve had to dust off my old massage table, and I’m just disgusted with it and I’m falling into a deep depression feeling as though I’m not able to support my daughter and I’m so scared for the future. Honestly I feel like having to do massage again is taking a huge psychological toll on me and my mental well-being, I’ll save everyone the detail of what exactly it is about doing happy ending massages that makes me hate myself and have even more of a troubled view and fear of men then I already do. I’m hoping for is a donation to help me launch my business and get the name out there, and maybe help me support my daughter in the process. Currently will we live in a less ideal situation, I’m lucky to live an apartment with just her and I, but I’ve been wanting to move out ever since I moved in due to the constant sexual harassment and belittling of the landlord who lives just next door, so if possible I would like to relocate if the donation allowed. Thank you for your time, Nadia. Cash app below

Trying to Stabilize my Life

I am a woman who always believes in helping others and giving back. But I find myself in a situation where I need help..

Currently, I’m trying to stabilize my life but I have bills and debt looming over my head and can’t seem to stay at work because of high levels of stress & anxiety that are affecting my health. I truly would love to start my Airbnb business and let go of my debt. The business would help me stabilize my life and my income. My goal is $10,500.

This would cover my debt and the cost of getting the Airbnb up and running. If you can help me in any way, I would be extremely grateful!

Disabled but Determined: Help Me Build a Ginseng & Bee Farm for a Better Future

My Story

Hello, my name is David, and I’m reaching out with a humble request and a hopeful heart.

Five years ago, my life changed in an instant. I was in a serious car accident that left me permanently disabled. Since then, I’ve been living on disability income — and while I’m grateful for the help, I’ve never stopped wanting to build something meaningful with my own two hands.

I’ve always had a love for the land, for nature, and for the peace that comes from working outside. Over the past few years, I’ve been studying and planning how to start a ginseng and bee farm right here at home — a project that could provide me with real income, independence, and purpose again.

My Vision

The plan is to grow wild-simulated ginseng, which takes several years to mature, while also raising bees to produce and sell honey. The honey sales will help support the project during the early years as the ginseng grows beneath the forest canopy.

I’ve already done the research, mapped out the plots, and developed a long-term business plan. I know this can work — it’s not just a dream, it’s a future waiting to grow.

This is more than farming to me — it’s a chance to create something good from the hardship I’ve been through. To show that even after tragedy, with enough patience and faith, something beautiful can still grow.

Why I Need Help

My biggest obstacle now is funding.

Because of my physical limitations, I need specialized adaptive equipment that will allow me to safely manage planting, maintenance, and harvesting on my own. There’s also fencing, soil preparation, ginseng seed, hive materials, and storage supplies to purchase.

I’m asking for help raising between $80,000 and $100,000 to make this dream a reality. Every dollar will go toward building a sustainable farm setup that supports both my health and the long-term success of the project.

This isn’t about luxury — it’s about independence. About creating a path forward where I can eventually wean myself off disability and build a life sustained by honest work and dedication.

Why This Matters

Being disabled has taught me a lot about patience, humility, and hope. But it also reminded me that even when life takes so much from you, you can still grow something new.

This project isn’t just for me — it’s something that gives back. The bees will help pollinate the area, the ginseng will restore native forest plants, and the income will allow me to live without depending on the system forever.

Every bit of help, whether it’s a small donation or simply sharing my story, brings me closer to that goal. You’re not just supporting a farm — you’re helping a man rebuild his life.

How to Help

If you’d like to support my project, you can donate directly through PayPal at: https://www.paypal.biz/disabledbutdetermond

Every contribution helps me move closer to independence and stability. I will share updates as I make progress, so everyone who helps can see how their kindness is turning into something real.

From the bottom of my heart — thank you for taking the time to read my story, to believe in my dream, and to help me plant the seeds of a better future.

Sincerely,
David
