In the last part of 2023 I had a wreck in my fathers truck . The rear brakes went out and I lost control of the vehicle. My emergency brakes weren’t functioning either when I was on the highway when this first went down . I had to find a place to crash so I found an exit about a 0.5 miles up on the right , thank GOD there wasn’t much traffic out or any pedestrians to be found on this late night . I found a parked trailer on the side of the road so decided at the last second to use that as my crash site . I crashed my fathers truck but nothing was damaged on that trailer . I was devastated because my father had a lot of sentimental value concerning that truck and even though he left me responsible with it while I was using it to get to work I wrecked his vehicle . I called him to let him know what happened and he was very upset disgruntled and heartbroken . He didn’t exactly blame me but I could tell from the sound of his voice he still thought it was all my fault . He told me I was responsible to get it fixed but now I couldn’t work and very little savings to work with . The truck was a 2012 Dodge Ram 3500 with high miles but my father loved that truck with all his heart . This whole situation has put quite a strain on our relationship . We haven’t talked much since and have basically been non communicative since then . The whole front end of the truck is damaged and non operative so thats why I need your help .
