Necesito de su ayuda urgente por un pago de una deuda que se dio por una estafa. / I urgently need your help to pay off a debt that arose from a scam.

Buenos días, tardes o noches para quien lea esta publicación, de antemano agradezco su atención, mi nombre es Eduardo soy peruano y entre a la plataforma porque se que de alguna manera podría obtener ayuda de parte de ustedes, les quiero comentar el motivo por el cual estoy pidiendo un auxilio económico que realmente se me cae en parte la cara de vergüenza en hacerlo pero lamentablemente ya agote todos mis recursos para poder conseguir el dinero de forma urgente, aquí les cuento un poco de porque se suscito este problema, en el año 2013 yo emprendí un negocio con una persona que viene a ser no solo mi socia sino mi mejor amiga, exactamente una veterinaria y la misión del mismo no solo era el tema de ganar dinero sino también poder ayudar en casos especiales a mascotas o perritos de la calle de forma gratuita o con el mínimo costo por motivo que muchas personas no cuentan con mucho dinero para hacerles algún tratamiento y otros porque son asociaciones que necesiten ayuda medica sin costo alguno como en campañas, todo iba perfecto en el negocio en el cual invertí no solo mis ahorros sino que también realice unos prestamos para poder adquirir maquinaria e implementar mejor la veterinaria para que realmente sea una clínica y así brindar todos los servicios y los costos de alquiler personal y mas gastos no sean problema (ya que así se puede dar servicios como cirugías, tratamientos especiales y hasta albergue de mascotas de forma momentánea y así tener mas ingresos y no caer en quiebra de una forma rápida), resulta que a mediados del 2014 tuve un problema familiar ya que mi madre necesitaba una cirugía de urgencia y el costo del mismo salía un aproximado de 2000 dólares, por ende como mis ingresos en ese momento estaban algo limitados tome la decisión momentánea que mientras veía el tema de mi madre no podría asistir a trabajar y como todo tramite solo lo podría realizar yo y mi madre le dejamos un poder a mi socia para que esta pudiera hacer algún tramite sin problema y así me ocupaba de mi madre y aparte tenia un negocio pequeño en casa de comida con el que me ayudaba para los gastos al menos una pequeña parte, resulta que al mes y medio que regreso me doy con la sorpresa que mi socia me sale estafando y armando muchas cosas para quedarse con algo en el cual invertí mucho dinero y como les explicaba plata prestada de bancos que estaban a mi nombre porque como empresa en ese momento no nos lo podían dar y por ende los saque a mi nombre, la deuda con el banco salía aproximadamente unos 45000 dólares lo peor de todo es que como no hice un documento por los prestamos que realice fue el detonante en que quede en pocas palabras en la calle, todo mi dinero propio y de préstamo se había esfumado, muchos dirán pero demándalos, lo intente pero un amigo de los pocos que me quedaron me tendió una mano porque es abogado pero me dio malas noticias porque me dijo de que como le habíamos dado un poder absoluto no había nada que hacer, ellos tenían todas las de ganar.
entre en una depresión en la cual pensé hasta en acabar con mi vida porque en ese momento contaba con un seguro de vida que podría cubrir los gastos el problema es quien se encargaba de ayudar a mis padres con la perdida de su hijo si eso pasaba, por lo cual tome fuerzas y fui a hablar con los bancos para pedirles un auxilio de aplazamiento de la deuda con la garantía que se les pagara, eran exactamente 4 bancos y de los cuales 3 de ellos decidieron ayudarme en ese aspecto porque vieron que realmente quería pagarles, pero uno de ellos no entendió eso y me entablo un juicio en el año 2015 si no estoy mal en la fecha ya que esos documentos lo tiene mi amigo que es el abogado que lleva el caso y de forma gratuita, el tema es que a pesar de apelar a la demanda porque mintieron en algunos aspectos siempre se quiso llegar a un acuerdo del cual quisieron aprovecharse cobrándome mas de el doble de la deuda y lo cual así quisiera por el tiempo que me daban no podría pagarla y me embargarían mis cosas que con tanto esfuerzo las compre en su momento. para no hacerlo tan largo actualmente ellos me están pidiendo pagar la suma de aproximadamente 18000 dólares (los cuales son la deuda capital mas intereses de la deuda solo descuentan los gastos de abogados y del juicio) para terminar con este problema y así para este juicio que lo mas probable me puedan ganar y pedir mucho mas de ese monto, hable con ellos diciéndole que actualmente no cuento con ese y que me es imposible juntarlo de forma rápida ya que por este problema tengo bloqueado prestamos y tarjetas y a mis padres no les dan por ser adultos mayores, mi padre y madre son jubilados por ende a las justas les prestan 500 dólares a lo mucho, se que este monto es grande pero al menos espero poder juntar algo y con ese monto poder conversar y que me den plazo ya que con lo que gano y cuidar a mis padres realmente no llegaría en juntar y las demás deudas recién hace un par de meses termine de pagar por completo.
Me disculpo de antemano porque se que es una forma conchuda y sinvergüenza lo que pido pero no tengo a quien mas pedir, esos amigos que solo estuvieron cuando mi situación económica era bueno ahora resulta que no me conocen, así me di cuenta que los amigos que tengo que son menos de los 5 dedos que tengo en la mano están a mi lado y tratando de ayudarme también pero es algo que como ellos mismo dicen es un imposible por el tan poco tiempo que me dan, espero de corazón me puedan comprender y ayudar ya que el plazo máximo que me dan es hasta el día 10 de julio, yo saliendo de este problema tengan por seguro que al igual que las personas que me puedan ayudar yo también estaré aquí para poder ayudar en su momento a otra persona en igual o peor situación que la mía.

My name is Eduardo, I am Peruvian, and I joined this platform because I know that, in some way, I could get help from you. I want to tell you why I am asking for financial assistance, which honestly makes me somewhat ashamed, but unfortunately, I have exhausted all my resources to urgently obtain the money I need. Here is a bit of why this problem arose.

In 2013, I started a business with a person who was not only my partner but also my best friend. It was a veterinary clinic with the mission of not only making money but also helping in special cases, such as treating pets or street dogs for free or at minimal cost, because many people cannot afford treatments, and some associations need medical help for free during campaigns. Everything was perfect in the business, in which I invested not only my savings but also took out loans to acquire equipment and better implement the veterinary clinic, aiming to provide all services and cover costs like rent, staff, and other expenses. This allowed us to offer services like surgeries, special treatments, and temporary pet shelters, ensuring more income and avoiding quick bankruptcy.

However, in mid-2014, I had a family issue as my mother needed urgent surgery, costing approximately $2,000. Since my income was somewhat limited at the time, I decided to temporarily step away from work to focus on my mother. My partner was given power of attorney to handle any business matters during my absence. I also ran a small food business from home to cover some expenses. When I returned a month and a half later, I discovered that my partner had defrauded me, making various moves to take over the business into which I had invested a lot of money, including borrowed funds from banks under my name, as the company couldn’t secure loans then. The debt with the bank was approximately $45,000. The worst part was that, due to the lack of documentation for the loans I took out, I was left with nothing. My own money and the borrowed funds had disappeared.

Many might say, “Why not sue them?” I tried, but a lawyer friend, one of the few who stood by me, gave me bad news: since we had given my partner absolute power of attorney, there was nothing we could do. They had all the legal advantages. I fell into a depression, even considering ending my life, thinking that the life insurance could cover the debts. However, I couldn’t put my parents through the loss of their child. I gathered the strength to talk to the banks, asking for a debt extension, guaranteeing that I would pay them back. Three out of four banks agreed to help, but one did not and sued me in 2015. Despite appealing because they lied in some aspects, they always aimed for an agreement to take advantage by charging me more than double the debt, which I couldn’t pay within their timeframe, risking the seizure of my belongings acquired through hard work.

Currently, they are demanding approximately $18,000 (which are the principal debt plus interest, only excluding the lawyers’ fees and court costs) to settle this issue. If not paid, the lawsuit could result in much higher demands. I explained to them that I currently don’t have that amount and can’t gather it quickly, as I am blocked from loans and credit cards, and my elderly parents can’t secure significant loans. My parents are retired and can only borrow up to $500 at most. I know this amount is substantial, but I hope to gather some money to negotiate an extension. Considering my earnings and caring for my parents, I cannot save up in time. I recently finished paying off other debts a few months ago.

I apologize in advance for this bold and shameless request, but I have no one else to ask. Friends who were around when my finances were good now act as if they don’t know me. I realized that the true friends I have, fewer than the fingers on one hand, are still by my side, trying to help but acknowledging that it is nearly impossible given the short timeframe. I hope you can understand and assist me, as the deadline is July 10. If I get through this, rest assured that I will be here to help others in similar or worse situations.

This not what I expected to live at this stage of our lives.

I lived in Venezuela for about 29 years. After graduating from law school in Colombia, I moved there and married a successful insurance broker whose company was 5th in the country.

We had a wonderful life during which I was a princess who did what she wanted—no restrictions.

I wrote for business magazines about politics and the economy, became an artist and photographer, organized events, and managed my husband’s PR.

We traveled twice or thrice yearly and lived in a beautiful apartment overlooking Caracas’ Avila mountain.

I am very grateful for having had that.

In 1998, Hugo Chavez became president, and after his death, the country died with him. Christian’s business started to wilt. All his clients were downsizing and it was not a good business anymore. I saw it was upon me to change things—Christian was already in his late 60s.

I was born in Colombia, which was doing better than Venezuela. We had built a house there in 2012, thinking it could be a semi-retirement option—the plan was to live six months in Caracas and six months in Colombia. Then Bernie Madoff happened, and our portfolio…

So we rented out the house and forgot about retiring. But in my mind, I kept thinking we needed to leave.

In 2015, while waiting in line to buy meat, I realized I couldn’t pay because the price had increased in the 45 minutes I had been waiting.

I split the purchase with the person behind me.

That was it.

I had always cooked for business dinners and loved entertaining, so I thought I could set up a pop-up restaurant in our house in Colombia, catering to a few guests every week.

I attended culinary school for more than a year and, after graduation, left the country. Christian stayed behind while he sorted out what to do with whatever was left of his business. It was 2017.

He arrived two years later with a surprise. He had a job, which, for a while, made things easier for us while I looked to reinvent my restaurant because it wasn’t the belle of the town I had envisioned. 

The thing was that even though I had family and good friends, we were both foreigners, and his position was in lead generation. The job ended some months later.

As for me, I had misread the market, didn’t have time to develop a social media strategy, cooked and hosted a dinner once a month—if lucky— learned, cried, and missed everything I had left behind.

To make matters worse, I had already started a hustle on the side: Debt acquisition.

Then COVID-19 appeared. Funny enough, I got some recognition for baking quiches and bread, so I sold quite well while in lockdown.

But not well enough, so in 2022, I had to fold.

Feeling like a failure and not knowing how to move forward, I returned to writing.

I plunged into digital marketing and brushed up my old copywriting skills, happy that selling nowadays is gentler and requires empathy.

Two months after launching my website, through a job board, I landed one client, and then Christian, who got into writing with me, landed another.

And then, nothing.

I’ve tried getting employed, but the process ends when they see me on camera. I’m a little too vintage :)

I keep applying, nonetheless.

In the meantime, here I am, with the goal of monetizing my content writing skills to help others like me reinvent themselves with a digital business.

I have yet to land my first client.

Our debts have crawled upon us like a vine, overtaking everything. More than half of what we bring in from our savings is used to pay installments. Our savings are getting thinner and thinner, and soon, we won’t have any. 

For two years, we’ve tried selling our house. But, as luck has it, we now have another leftist government trying to impose the Chavista revolution. Nobody wants to invest in the country, and even selling our car has had no success.

We need to get rid of our debts so we can at least breathe a little until my business finally takes off. We are $32,000 into deep water.

It’s so frustrating to live under similar circumstances as nine years ago. I sometimes doubt if we should have moved from Venezuela, but that train left ages ago.

This is not what I expected to experience at this stage of my life. I would have still worked, but the pressure of creating an income is killing our marriage and our peace of mind.

Boost up my business

Hello,

My name is Ana and I started a small business doing translations and tours in the island of St. Lucia in the Caribbean. I live with my 91 year old mother who needs day care services. I am self employed and work as a a freelance tour guide and do written translations of official documents.

Tourism is the main industry on the island and many are employed in the sector. I work as a seasonal tour guide for the cruise ship season. During the open season, which runs from November to April, I require the services of an adult day care for my mother while I work. It is very difficult to get summer jobs as unemployment is very high (aprox.17%) and many tourist establishment on the island close during the off season.

When the cruise season closes is when I rely solely on my translation business (I am fluent in English and Spanish language) However, I own an obsolete computer and have no printer. Usually when I do a translation of a written  document, I have to source a third party to print the document. So, I am in dire need of a reliable computer and printer which will cost approximately US$1,400 in order to modernize and update my working equipment.  I would also want to create a space to work form home as this is the time when I take care of my mother at home.  By purchasing furniture for a home office, will also make working more convenient and allow me to continue to generate and income from home whilst caring for my ageable mother.

Help me have a dignified old age, I want to buy a car to continue working

Good day my name is Eduardo Garcia, I am 56 years old, I have been divorced for 8 years, I live with my daughter, her partner and a four-year-old granddaughter who is my adoration (I have more children and grandchildren but they are the ones who live with me), I live in Mexico and I am a few years away from reaching my retirement which would be at 60 years old and my expectation is not good at all in terms of the amount of my retirement pension. I want to raise enough money to buy a car and be able to work on a platform like Uber or Didi to have a second income and thus accumulate some more capital for when the time comes for my retirement and to be able to give a better life to my family.

In Mexico it is common for older people to have to continue working when they reach retirement age due to the low amounts of retirement pensions that exist in Mexico I know people who receive 177 dollars a month (but I know that there are people who receive less) to live their last years, many of them, those who are luckier, work in commercial chains such as Wal-Mart or HEB putting customers’ products in the bags to be able to complete and take some extra money home with what they receive as tips and be able to eat one more day, and the payment of services better we do not talk about they do not have money for some platform to watch TV, much less internet they live or rather survive with the most important services. I believe that working a lifetime and after retiring continue working should not be the right thing to do but this is our reality. I don’t want that future for myself and my family.

As I told you I want to buy a car to work on platforms, the most used in Mexico for this job is the Nissan versa that is around a price of 20,000 dollars and would serve me

– First, while I’m still working at my job, by working with the car I could save up to increase my retirement pension amount

– Secondly, it would be an excellent option to work on it 100% after my retirement until age allows me to do so

It is worth mentioning that I am also saving to complete the car in less time, but with the salaries paid here it would take years to gather the amount and I would lose the opportunity to increase my pension amount for retirement When the time comes for me to retire I know I’ll have to keep working, but at least I’d like to work in the car so I can have time to enjoy with my grandchildren and not have to spend my last years tied to an all-day schedule in a low-paying job. Need Help for Rent, Food and Medications for my conditions.

Hello, I hope with all my heart that you are well, wherever you read me.

I am Andres, I am 52 years old and I find myself in a very complicated situation. I have Psoriasis on the skin, Arthritic Psoriasis on the bones and also a diagnosis of Bipolar. It is very difficult for me to be constant in things in everyday life, as a result of the constant pain caused by Psoriasis, which at the moment is untreated, due to lack of work and money. Also because of my constant changes in mood and not seeing a meaning in life, I have tried to find some online work that allows me to at least cover rent and food expenses and maybe have something extra for my medications, which are quite expensive.

I was living in a tent on the beach for 4 months and thanks to the help of some good friends, I was able to get out of that street situation. Those months, due to all the stress I experienced, my physical and mental situation worsened. I was admitted to a psychiatric hospital for 10 days and managed to stabilize.

I was able to do a fairly physical job and I only lasted 4 months, and now I find myself in the situation of having to pay the rent on June 7th and I no longer have money, I only have something left that I use to eat in a very basic way. I have been living for 2 months in a room where at least I have the internet to communicate and I pay U$220. If there is someone out there, with a good heart and who can help me in these super difficult times for me, I would appreciate it with all my heart and I offer them my time and friendship to talk at any time or maybe I can teach Spanish in exchange. And also if you can help me have treatment for my illnesses for a few months.

I think it is the only way for now to be able to move forward and have the desire to continue on this Planet. I don’t have a family, children or partner and at least, no one depends on me or my actions.

Our eldest is about to finish her second year in university. So far we have managed to pay for her first two (2) years, but we have no idea where how we will come up with fulfilling our obligations for the next two (2) years. Her tuition fee is about US $3,000 per year

With my husband being the sole breadwinner of our family, we have racked up a credit card bill of approximately US $6,500.00 that is constantly gaining interest because we have hit the ceiling amount.

My husband is a teacher and I have been trying different ways of gaining an income, but nothing seems to be helping to get our finances on track.

At this moment I have 4 dogs and 7 cats with me. All have been rescued due to abuse or abandonment. The white dog that appears in the photo, the French Poodle, was called Lulú. She was blind and she was my faithful shadow. She was with me 24 hours a day. One day she got sick, we took her to the vet and that same day, she died. Apparently due to a heart problem that never had manifestations before.

It wasn’t easy, I still dream about her sometimes, but I know that while we were together, I gave her all the love I could and I have 11 more fur babies to take care of. Those who have had animals know that keeping them is not cheap. Food, finding a place where they accept you living with so many animals, the vet, the medications, everything is expensive. But it’s totally worth it.

If you are able to support us to move forward at this time when my financial situation is not the best due to work situations and changes that have been generating increasing difficulties, we sincerely thank you for your collaboration.

Shattered soul

My name is Al. I been married 3 times and for some reason I am never able to catch a break.  I’ve been stepped on by many people all my life. I was taken at a young age to the U.S. by my mother.  Life was good then. I was denied residency be cause I refused to lie under oath to the American flag. I told the truth about me claiming to be a U.S. citizen once. For that I payed the price and I was deported. Starting a new life in Mexico was the biggest struggle I’ve ever faced. I came empty handed to the city I was born. Ciudad Juarez Chihuahua. The most violent city in the world for many years. I lost 2 kids back in the U.S.  which I haven’t seen for many years. Here in Mexico I have 3 kids ages 14, 12 and 11. Since I never had a father, I have worked on being the best father for all my children. I moved to cancun hopping for a better life. I was working and met my soon to be ex-wife. I took my kids to live with my for a year and I thought life was finally making sense. My ex has 2 kids. A 17 and a13 year old. When I thought nothing could be better, I found out her oldest was making sexual advances towards my 12 year old son. I was enraged and I confronted him. My ex wife and all her family went against me. I left cancun under threats towards me and my kids. As you know the corruption in Mexico is very strong. Her family is well positioned and I don’t have much family to support me. I was all alone there in cancun. I have lost everything and I had to return my kids with their mom. I was on the streets and shelters for a while. I even thought about suicide at this point. I know I need mental help right now. I need a place to stay and get my life together again but the little strength I have and financial hardship I’m going through is killing me.  I’ve always been a nice and kind hearted person. I guess that’s why people have always taken advantage of me. I am a hard worker and educated person.  Although I only finished my high school.  I’m always looking forward to be the best I can be. I am deep in debt and I also need to fix my divorce. I am also in need of a vehicle since a moved to a little town in Durango Mexico and getting around to see my kids and taking them to school is very difficult. I don’t want to give up. I want to see this through and for my kids to be happy and have stability. I’m praying that someone out there can hear my plea. I’m asking for $ 10,000 USD to get out of debt and accomplish everything else. In order for me to make this happen I need a psychologist first to help me. I need to stay strong to feed my kids. They’re already happy that I’m in the same town where they live but I need to provide for them.  Right now is very difficult for me to even get out of bed knowing that I’ve failed as a parent and didn’t prevent what happened to my son. Please… Some one… I pray help… May our Lord help me and also bless the people who are always willing to help a stranger as I do every time I can.

Please Help Me!!

I got hurt at my job, and had to have 2 back surgeries because of it. I won my workers comp lawsuit, but I lost everything during that 5 months of waiting on a court date. I’m a divorced mother raising 3 teenagers alone. I have to work because I never receive child support regularly, or not at all. I’ve been providing for my children ever since they were born, and everytime I ask the courts for a modification, it only gets increased by like $2.. For 4 kids, their dad is only ordered to pay $170. All together! It’s not right. I can no longer work the same job anymore, and really need a cheap vehicle. I lost my car when I could no longer make the payments. Around the same time that all my bills went to collections. I really need help. I have applied for vehicle loans, but I don’t have good credit or a down payment. Or a co-signer. Please help
