I trust all is well with you. I am in need of financial help.  In 2020 I decided to take early retirement from my 9 to 5 job to assist my husband in a business he just started.  Our aim was to make enough money before retirement and have a peaceful, happy and stress-free life after retirement.

One month into working on our business plan and to execute, COVID19 hit us and we couldn’t go anywhere and do anything. We decided to change the business according to the trend of the time by buying a Fogging machine on credit card believing that it will pay itself off while going out to do people’s houses and business premises. Then the unforeseen happened; my mother-in-law got sick and I had to look after her, then my mother got sick and also needed 24/7 attention.  My husband then tried to look for a job but to no avail due to his age.

I then tried to look for online jobs, but rather lost a lot of money due to online scams and ended up not having enough money to survive our daily needs. In the meantime, I got into arrears with my credit card and other accounts to pay and also couldn’t afford the renting of where we were staying. And out of desperation for the need of finances I became gullible and vulnerable for all kinds of scams on the internet. I even tried trading etc. but failed and lost money.

However, I did not give up hope in looking for a job on the internet, by doing internet marketing.  But I realized that it’s costly and I need money to make money, and I don’t have the money to get the tools and learn the skills to make money online.

My desire is to have my own online business to make more than enough money to pay of my debts, buying a house, help my mother and other family members, friends and neighbors in need, including the Social Club of the Elderly People in my community in need.

Begging Money To Save Me From Depression Inducing Family Debt

I am writing to request financial assistance for offsetting a strangulating and fatalistic/depression-inducing family debt of USD 2,850; which is growing every other month we live!  “To err is human, but to forgive is divine”, true; kindly forgive us for bringing my self-inflicted calamity to you.

This calamitous indebtedness has been incurred when both I, and my wife, separately took up quick loans from private money lenders; in a bid to salvage the education (livings), and make an effort to curtail life-threatening depressions. Particularly for two of our children – who were dropping out of school at levels; when already much resources, and time, had been invested.  One is in Year 5, Semester 1, the other is in Year 3, Semester 2; both are doing a medical course at a local private University.  Where one has already lost one academic year (‘dead-year’) due to non-payment of the tuition fees.

I had always been a hard worker, and not only always strived to be self-sufficient, but also mobilize, and/or expend the family resources to educate and upkeep other disadvantaged children (orphans) I had taken up for support.  But the unfortunate situation evolved when the donor-funded, not-for-profit Community Development Initiative, founded by me, wound up its activities in 2012; after its Life Of Activity (LOA) period.  This exposes me to a lingering era of no sufficient income for over 10 years, now; yet I am the principal financier of the children’s education and major breadwinner of the family. I have been trying to manage by selling off family assets like land; knowing that “Education is one of the surest ways to shift along the socioeconomic status quo – betterment, in Africa. But all has been exhausted, now. Even part of our homestead was given as collateral to secure the loan I am struggling with.

Right now, all seems to be blurred not only as far as the children’s education is, but also a big threat of losing part of the homestead to the loan.  Wherever we turn, opportunities appear to be shut on us––seeming to rebuke me the same way the Biblical High Priest, Scribes, and Elders rebuked Jesus Christ on the cross, “He used to save others, but he cannot save himself”[Matt. 27:41, 42].   This seems to sound and implant in my mind ever louder memories of some incidents I recall when I  used to have the ability; even to go out in aid of those in need!

Nonetheless, I have faith that I will recover from all this.  The valuable support anticipated from you, plus the positive thing that career preparations pursued by these children – very optimistic that when they fully go through them – it is very certain that they will not delay in securing jobs.  To start not only contributing to response towards the much-felt health services needs of humanity (whenever and wherever the need will be). But also attain reasonable financial capabilities to support their siblings and other needy children (similar to what I was doing), and to take care of us as parents.
