My name is Tiara Jean Moore I am a 59-year-old 12-year army vet born in Cleveland Ohio grew up in Detroit Michigan and relocated to Kirby Texas from Neckar-gemund Germany in 2014. At my age I did not want to go back to the MOTOR CITY (GERMANY WINTERS WERE HARSH ENOUGH) I CAN DEAL BETTER WITH THE heat (doing extensive work in the middle east). In the past I have always taken care of myself making good money, but little did I know that my fate with linger on a financial instability. I was always so careless with money since its just me, myself, and I(now I have a dog depending on me). Little did I know that after moving out of my small apartment I had to secure while in Germany because I could not be homeless coming to the USA. I successfully was able to get an FHA loan to move into a 4-bedroom house that was too big too much work to upkeep that a holding place my hoarder issues (and it’s gotten worst over the 8 years I been living in it. moved into a house and I was always a non-planner and conducted myself sporadically not saving, not budgeting. Well God had a plan for me called BANKRUPTCY (a necessary evil). IRONICALLY, I WAS BAPTISED IN THE Neckar River in Heidelberg Germany august 2014 before landing in San Antonio Texas from Frankfurt Germany in august 2014 Since he provided a way for me to prosper, and I blew it he gave me another chance by allowing me to keep my house and car and taking side jobs to make ends meet. This started by me watching a commercial where you get rich by wholesaling houses in real estate. I was coerced into giving up $70,000, getting a LLC, coaches I had no idea what I was doing, at the same time I had this sick obsession about getting rich quick, I blew the reaming money on other internet get rich scams (it’s quite toxic and persuasive). In the meantime, I even resigned from my job as a food service worker at the VA HOSPITAL (I CAME TO REALIZE THAT PEOPLE (ESPECIALLY MEN) ARE NORMALLY JEALOUS OF A FEMALE BEING AN ENTREPRENUER SO THE DAILY HARASSMENT BECAME UNBEARABLE. Since I know no one here in Texas other than my coworkers at my current job on base. It all started when the credit union came to collect my car.  I sat around my house cuddling my dog, Tiffany, getting more depressed because I have never been in this situation in my life, I always had money. At this time I HAD FILED ONLINE(BANKRUPTCY #1) They sent this white American repo man to my house and he saw my USA flag and a German cross posted outside my door he said since you are a veteran I am not going to take your car I just going to tell them you did not give me the car, 2 days later a Hispanic man came by and was vocal hollering my name and saying we know your bankruptcy did not fall through, I acted as though I was not there. When you file a bankruptcy you have to submit the paperwork in a timely manner and I did not know this so they dripped the bankruptcy(it’s still counted as a bankruptcy) the next day I caught the bus bank downtown and filed with a lawyer(bankruptcy#2)I WAS SO ASHAMED TO GO IN FRONT OF THE BANKRUPTCY LAWYER BECAUSE HERE I STOOD A VETERAN who served MY COUNTRY AND I CANT EVEN HANDLE MY BUSINESS financially. The stipulation was that I was supposed to pay my own mortgage out of my check from work> the car and other bills were covered by the bankruptcy. I did not pay my mortgage for 2 whole years I kept the money for I had this insane inclination that since I was used to making big money in the middle east I did not know how to downsize or alter my money problems. Now I am almost finished with bankruptcy #3(hooray)in April 2024. Guess what I need a helping hand to get me over this last hurdle of my demise I have taken budgeting classes, but I am in dire need for $15,000 emergency money to go home to Detroit Michigan to see my brother who was recently hospitalized for complications with AIDS. I am his beneficiary and he is also an army veteran (served 3 years at FT HOOD) in the mid eighties. I need this amount because I dont know how long he will be there/and/or he dies I need to take care of his burial, I need room and board while there and transportation, I will be LEAVE WITHOUT PAY from my government job. I’m requesting $20,000 so I can pay off my credit cards, and a loan on my 401k .

I’ve looked for loans however the monthly payments are too high.

The program I’m in now will erase all my credit cards through a law firm , the problem is they want to dispute my creditor’s and I don’t make any payments this will put my accounts in default and in collections dropping my credit score even more than it is now.

The only reason I got so behind was to help my mom after she had lost her husband, at that point I was working knights which pays more at my place of work, walking to work 45 mins got tiresome quickly so I moved closer to work a 20 min walk or less. Then transferring to the day shit for health reasons lowered my pay. And the rent too the new place kept me from paying off credit cards, while making minimum payment are keeping all accounts in good standards, I made the mistake of getting to many cards too many payments and now can’t afford all payments and bills and rent.

My primary goal is to pay off all creditors keeping accounts in good standards bring  my credit score back up to 700 points and stop using the cards on a regular basis, the idea of getting more cards was to capitalize on the overall amount on the cards but this has been a fullish financial decision but a lessons learned the hard way.

This program Im in is not a good idea but hopefully only temporary solution, tell I can find the funds needed to get me out of the mess I created.

I have tried to advance at work for a pay raise but this can not happen because of my mental condition which effects the memory and recall, I have had to deal with this since the age of 3 when missed diagnosed slowing down the brain activity during growth, I’m now 45 of age and learned to adapt. I have not cashed in on any of the benefits I’ve been told I should be getting during the testing and diagnosed with a type of dementia. This has also kept me from driving, so finding a better paying job is limited to distance.

I am able to work full time at Walmart, 10 years now, very few coworkers know about this disability, IV been able to shield it from others,

I’m still looking forward to doing the work I’ve been trained for in apartment maintenance however that was a long time ago in a different state and a lot has changed over the years in that field of work.

Hello my name is Terry  I am 63 years old on SSDI . I broke my neck back in 1983  when I dove into Lake Lanier in Gainesville Ga ! I was 23 at the time . I grew up near the lake a I was crazy about the water  . I enjoyed skiing  and scuba diving  . I dove 3 feet off the water  I heatbthe bottom of the lake .  I cracked. C5 C6 and chursed C7 in on my spinel cord  ! I stood up walked out if the water with my head pushed down and laying on my rite shoulder . I told my 2 friends to take me to the hospital  . I was sent to the VA hospital in Decator Ga  . The pain was severe.  Some how by the grace of God the surgeon  did a fusion  from my hip to my neck to re build the verabra  in my neck between my shoulder blades  . 49 dsys in the hospital  and I w as able to stand up and walk again . My life had changed I walked around with a halo that held my head up to allow the fusion  to heal ! After  12 months I was able to stray back to work . I was a welder  and  a Iron worker !  I worked in Atalanta building  buildings and welding . 1986 I was walking across a building that a company who had set the Joist that supported the tin that supported the roof of the building  set the bar joist off the center mark where the joists woukd support the roof  I stepped on to the unsupported  tin and I fell 25 feet landing on the concrete  below.  I landed on my rite hip and my  rite hand   . I  dislocated the bones in my wrist and busted  my hip !  I went through more surgery ! When I was able to return to work . My wife decided  she wanted a divorce  .  The divorce  sent me into a cocaine addiction  ! I was able tonover cone the addiction  in 2000 . After getting. Busted in 1999 . I took a job in South Ga and was a way from where my addiction  was . I went to work and focused  on the jobs we where doing and never looked back at the addiction  that had destroyed my life and put me and everyone in and around me through  the. Hell a addiction  puts someone and the people that cared about the person  who is addicted .  My life had been full of lies  pain guilt  and self hate that I had as a life that I had lived through  !  I was put on probation  For 4 years and I stayed clean . I had a. Daughter with a woman in 1997 ! And she called me up and told me she wanted me to have our  child who was age 3 ! I went and got my daughter and was hell bent on taking care of my daughter  . I worked seven dsys a week but I had a baby sitter who watched my daughter  and was a blessing to me and my child. Courtney is my daughter  . I worked  through out the 23 years after  getting of the cocaine. Courtney moved out of my home at 17.5  she had some misdirected anger toward me is what her counselor had told me because of her mother pushing her put of her life at age 3 . She went back to live with her mother and 30 dsys later moved In with her boy friend his brother and daddy  . My mind was blown . I had never met the boy friend  . Courtney had been going to her mother’s  and had been seeing this dude for 2 5 years behind my back. I had talked to Courtney about her dating and I wanted to meet the boy  before she went out with him so I woukd know what and who my daughter was going out with ! Courtney would tell me she was not interested  in boys  at this time in her life . That she wanted to get her education and a job started before she found herself a man to spend her life with  ! She knew that was what i wamted to hear . I was in Washington  state working  when I got a phone call and Courtney told me she was dating a guy for the passed 2 years when she was going ronher mothers  telling me she was baby sitting her sisters kids. I told her to just go level with her mother seance that is who is determining her life for her ! My life has had so many ups and downs it has truly been hard to hang on after all the set backs I have faced.  2018 . I was diagnosed  with Hip C and I was treated at the VA  in Decatur Ga . Once again they saved my life ! I went on SSDI after working through out my life after. The broke neck . I an confused as to why I am still here on thus earth after surviving all I gave been through. Today I have a house I have bought and I have more bills than I can pay with the SSDI check I recivee each month  ! I had a little money in the bank but the work I had to do to this house and the transmission that had to be replaced  in my truck as well as having someone hack my bank account  has left me struggling  each month just trying to feed myself my house taxes are due I can’t pay them and my power bill is 457. I am currently unemployed though aggressively looking for work.  I spend 8 hours a day looking for work either online or walking the streets.  I then spend the rest of my day trying to figure out ways to make money as I literally have $20 left to survive.  At the moment, during this other time I have also started trying to learn profitable skills.  With the job market as it is, where I live, I have been trying to figure out ways of making money online.  I have started watching cs50 on YouTube, a Harvard course about computer science.  I am finding that something in this field is my best possibility for an actual career.  I am open to any ideas to make money though, as long as they do not require breaking any laws.

I am trying to raise $1,500 -$2,000 to pay for an extended stay hotel for a disabled friend. I am not able to house him in my own home and have already paid to keep him in the hotel for a week.

He has severe medical problems and a service dog who needs to stay with him. Due to the medication he has to take to stay alive, being homeless is not an option.

I would like to tell you, my situation. Back in November of 2020, I had a bad car accident that left me with bad headaches and migraines. I was going to doctors to get my headaches and/or migraine under control or manageable, but the medication that they were trying on me had bad side effects. I could not focus on work. I was irritable. I stopped wanting to leave the house. After coping with work and headache/migraines, I decided to quit my job due to the stress it was put on me and my body. I thought I would have no issue finding a job quickly with my background in computers, but I did not consider that we were still within a pandemic.  I am unemployed and having no luck finding another job.

During my unemployment, it seemed like I had some good luck and then some bad luck. In November of 2021, my good friend got me a temporary website development job. The money was good, but it did not last. Then bad luck hit on December 3, my two yorkies got sick at the same time. Both yorkies had to spend time in the vet hospital. On December 6, one yorkie passed away from his sickness. That cost me over 1000 dollars for the yorkies vet bill and we are within weeks of Christmas. At that the time I had not started Christmas shopping for my two boys. I had nothing for them, so my parents came to the rescue and bought my two boys Christmas gifts, where they would have something under the tree.

After 6 months of looking for a job, I had an interview with a company doing computer support for a fortune 100 company. During the interview, they talked about how great it would be working for them and the opportunities to work for a fortune 100 company. At the end of the interview, they offered me the job. I jumped at the opportunity, because I had very little money left and was starting to borrow more money from my parents to survive. Plus, the job was a work from home position, but the pay was not good, but I would work the job and after while apply for a different position. I started training on the job 20 days later. During the training, I found out that we were just contractors, and there was only one position, and that was IT Service Desk phone calls. As a contractor with the company, I was not able to be hired by the Fortune 100 company, because of the contact that company had with the fortune 100 company. The Fortune 100 company cannot hire the person that is in contact.

Then after working the job for four months, more bad luck. I got sick in June of 2022. I could not get health insurance for another month. I stuck it out and in July, I received my insurance and went to the hospital. There, I found out that I had e coli. The doctors gave me some antibiotics to get rid of e coli. I took the antibiotics as recommended. After a few weeks, I was still sick and not feeling any better. My girlfriend at the time set me up with her doctor. The doctor did some tests and found out that I still had e coli. The doctor put me on another round of antibiotics. While we were treating e coli my headaches and migraines got worse. Then in September, I was still not feeling good and that was after my third round of antibiotics. With me still sick, my girlfriend left me after 10 years and left me with the three dogs to take care of.

Then after my girlfriend left. My job was not paying me enough to pay the deductible for doctor’s visit, buy food and pay my monthly bill. I had to use my credit to get food in between pays. Then, my yorkie got sick again, and I did not have the money to pay the vet bill, so, I put that on a credit card. At the end of November of 2022, I got sick with COVID, and I pushed myself to get up every day and work to keep money coming in. This year, I am at the point that my paychecks do not even help to pay my monthly bill, because of all the doctor’s appointments and medication.
