Hello, my name is Kim. I need dental veneers, top and bottom. Veneers that are more durable are currently costing $675. Right now, that is out of my reach. My story begins when my husband passed away in 2015, the same day his heart condition was diagnosed our landlord gave notice that he was evicting our apartment complex to raise rents to an extreme. We were in good standing, never once late on our rent. There was nothing anyone could do to help. Hubby died 10 days into our homelessness and our son and I spent the next year homeless.

We worked hard to get a roof back over our heads. Both of us got into college and as fast as we did that, I started having medical issues. Issues that my body had been hiding for the last year with adrenaline. My teeth started falling apart, literally crumbling but I had other issues developing that were of greater concern. Suddenly I was juggling school and medical. I’m still juggling school and medical. Slowly I am conquering my medical issues, some of which I think time is the only cure.

My degree goal is a masters in psychology. I have an interest in criminal behavior. One would think that I would like to help the homeless. Which I already do. I feed their pets and try to connect them with services. If they want to, I will help them create a plan to turn their situation around. Homelessness is frequently more complicated than a job or drugs and when it’s due to criminal behavior, that person needed intervention long before they hit the streets.

The other thing I would like to do is a YouTube channel. YouTube is drowning in narcissism and childhood abuse issues, and little for college students needing study help. But I will need a more professional look for that.

Ultimately, I will get more serious dental work done, but because of my medical situation I need to find a facility that can do the work and that is being its own challenge. My mom is trapped in a painful cycle of emotional, verbal, and financial abuse. She’s not allowed to work and has been cut off from all financial resources.
