I can’t believe that i am having to ask this so let me say thank you in advance for even taking the time to read our story. My daughter is 15 and was diagnosed with Rett Syndrome at the age of 3. She has no purposeful movements of her hands, is non-verbal, wheelchair bound, and the light of our lives. To know her is to love her. I firmly believe that phrase was made for her. Her smile will light up the day. It breaks my heart that we can’t take her everywhere we want to because she needs a wheelchair van, and we just can’t afford it right now. She loves being out in public and shopping, but it is too hard for me to lift her 80-pound wheelchair into the back of the van anymore so we just stay home and have as much fun as we possibly can! We also have a 6 year old boy who loves sports and who would love for his big sister to be able to come watch him play soccer and t-ball but she has to stay home unless the weather is just right since it takes so long to get her loaded and unloaded from the van we currently have. I am a registered nurse who works from home so i can be home to care for her and my husband works nights at a steel mill. We both work as much as possible to provide everything she needs but the van seems like it is just out of reach. Any help would be greatly appreciated. We need $60,000 for the new van and to pay for the modifications for her wheelchair. Any money received would go only towards her van which is only used for her and would provide several years of unlimited trips and outings that she would love. My Cashapp is $NicoleKuk. Again thank you for taking your time to read our story of our silent angel that we were blessed to care for. I am so greatful i get to be her mama and she is loved beyond words.
