My name is Roman and I will be turning 44 this Thanksgiving (American Thanksgiving). I am a holiday baby, so I tend to forget about my birthday and I never really ask for much. This year though, I want to see if I can get a miracle for my birthday. For the past 4 years my wife and I have been struggling financially. I work full time (8 hours a day, 40 hours a week) and my wife has been doing her best working part time. My wife has a lot of mental health struggles (PTSD, ADHD, severe anxiety just to name a few) due to the physical/mental abuse she experienced during all of her childhood. We fell into a financial bind due to emergencies with family, a couple medical issues for me, struggling to afford mental health care, and because of the exorbitant inflation occurring in the U.S. Our car insurance rose $200, and the cost of our rent rose $400 more. This has prevented us from being able to pay off our debts from the emergencies in the past. My wife and I both come from poor families, so we cannot ask much from them. We are getting food from a free food bank and it always seems like we are on the verge of being a part of the homeless working class. My goal in this is to be able to clear those past debts for my birthday so my wife and I can move forward with our lives. Our debts are not much compared to the average U.S. debt, but we are in a situation where we still can lose everything.
