Hello, my name is Willie Brown, I am a 60 year man living in Charlotte, NC. I am making this request because I am in need of help, I am currently living check to check and at this point in my life I feel hopeless, my goal was to start looking positively at the prospect of retiring at 64 and enjoying the outlook of it, but the reality is that I not able to layout that plan because I have debt that I can barely manage each month. I live in a shared living apartment because my credit is not great and I can’t afford a place of my own, at 60 years old this is a heartbreaking situation for me, I have debt with high interest rates because of my credit and these debts a costing me more than I can comfortably afford to pay. My situation isn’t because of poor planning (I really tried to plan accordingly), but a couple of years ago, l left my job in Charlotte to travel to Georgia to take care of my younger brother who had lost the use of his legs, while I was there taking care of him, he passed away and I was heartbroken, during that time I dug myself into a financial hole and have been trying to dig myself out, but it hasn’t been easy. If I had to put a total on what I would need to get to clear path to a positive road to retirement and stress free days and nights I would like to set an amount for $7,500 as my goal. This amount would assure that I could payoff high interest debts and allow me set aside funds for my retirement.
