HI my name is Deanna i am a 62 year old single female living with stage 4 kidney cancer. I was diagnosed in 2018 and can no longer work. I live on 828 ssdi a month. And 162 dollars in snap benifits. And I have Medicare and medicaid. My cancer meds cost 35000 a month. Your read that right. Thank God I was able to pay my home off before I could no longer work. I live in Louisiana and the last bad storm destroyed my fence and my homeowners didnt cover it with the policy i have. I dont even know if i wil lbe able to even pay for home insurance in 2026 it just keeps going up. They want 3000 and it barely covers anything. I can no longer keep my chickens in the yard. I have no savings left and can’t afford to fix it. It’s being held up by the trees its leaning against on one side. It’s gonna take approximately 15000 to 18000 to get it replaced.
