Hello, my name is Casey Wideen. I am 39 years old living in Eugene, OR. I am a husband, a stepfather, dog owner, and a full time employee. I am reaching out to you with utmost humility and honesty, seeking a helping hand during a challenging time in my life. First and foremost, I would like to express my sincere gratitude for taking the time to read my story. It is not easy for me to admit my shortcomings, but I believe in the power of honesty and transparency. I am an individual in recovery from addiction, and I must acknowledge that I recently faced a relapse after 8 years of sobriety which has put me in a difficult financial situation. I am currently in treatment with a program through Oregon Healthcare that costs me nothing which I am incredibly grateful for. That said, I made some poor choices during the relapse leaving me unable to keep up on my personal bills and financial obligations at the same time as my loan and credit card debt. This leaves me with no real ability to afford everyday necessities. All of which I understand and acknowledge is 100% my fault and could have been avoided. I have come to understand the importance of taking responsibility for my actions. I fully acknowledge the mistakes I have made and the consequences they have brought upon me. This experience has served as a wake-up call, compelling me to make significant changes in my life. I am firmly committed to rebuilding my life, one step at a time, and regaining the trust and respect of my loved ones. Unfortunately, the financial consequences of my relapse have left me in a very difficult situation. As I am working to remain sober and rebuild my life, I find myself in need of financial assistance to cover essential expenses, such as housing, insurance and gas, the before mentioned debt from a loan and some credit card bills. I understand that reaching out for support from complete strangers is a considerable request, but I believe with every bit of my being I am ready and capable of getting back on track and staying on track with hopes to make my 40’s my best years yet!!! I would be immensely grateful for any assistance that someone could provide, no matter how big or small. Your support would not only help me meet my immediate needs but also enable me to focus on my recovery, my family, and the new me I am committed to being. If you are unable to offer financial assistance at this time, I completely understand. There are other ways you can help, such as sharing my story with others who may be in a position to offer support or connecting me with relevant resources or opportunities. To provide a greater level of transparency, I am more than willing to answer any questions or provide any and all additional information about my situation. No questions asked!!! I genuinely believe in the power of community and the potential for transformation that lies within each of us. Thank you for considering my request and for your compassion in reading my story. Your generosity would not only impact my life but also serve as a reminder of the kindness and support that exists in the world.
With sincere gratitude,
Casey Jay Wideen
