Need Help

This is my son Iain, he is 35 years old and has a progressive genetic disorder called Friedericks Ataxia. He was diagnosed at 9 years of age and coped with his diagnosis extremely well. He had to start using a wheelchair at 19 and has coped with every day actions getting worse on a daily basis. 2 months ago he got pneumonia and was hospitalised on top of that he got covid in hospital. We were asked what his end of life choice was. This was very distressing but he has fought through this and is now back home albeit much weaker and needs constant care as he can no longer feed himself. Why do I need help? His father and I divorced in 2009 but because of Iain’s condition my ex husband agreed to take over our jointly owned house and he lived there with Iain and his two younger brothers as I had a new partner and the boys didn’t want to leave their dad on his own. His dad moved in with his new partner 8 years ago and my 3 sons live in the house. Problem now is the mortgage term has ended and my ex husband still owes £125,000 which neither of us have. We will have to sell the house to pay this but it will make my boys homeless and take Iain away from the home he knows and loves and has been adapted for his needs. He now needs more equipment that we can’t afford and I want to retire to help look after him but I can’t afford to stop working. I work for the NHS but don’t get my state pension till next year but even then I can’t afford to retire as I have outstanding loans to pay off before I can give up work. My other problem is I live an hours drive and my partner and I only have one car as I can’t afford another loan. My wife also has a muscle wasting disorder so I’m just bouncing from pillar to post trying to look after both of them and worry and stress about money and what will happen to my boys once the house is sold. I also have my own mortgage to pay off.  I am so desperate I do t know where to turn which is why I’m trying this with the hope someone takes pity on me and can help I have to hold on to hope and that someone somewhere wants to help my family stay in their home  Iain’s two brothers look after him when the carers have gone. They are hard working boys and should be out meeting girls or just enjoying themselves but they choose to take care of their big brother  I am very proud of all my boys and really want them to remain together instead of being split up into separate accommodation . Please help me

thank you for reading this. Kind regards Margaret
