Hello,
My name is Dottie Heath, please call/ refer to me as Lainie.. I have never asked anyone for anything. I’ve always provided for myself. But the funds are almost gone and I need help. I live in a (local count, not week enders )fishing town of appoximently 379 people . The town of Suwannee Fl. is the last stop, end of highway 349 runs directly into the Gulf. Hurricane ideliah hit my beautiful town August with 12foot swells. I have my homestead here. Been here almost 10 years. My better half and I worked long and Hard many years, and by the Grace of God, paid it off early. That same winter, cancer took my best friend home to Heaven. Not 2 months after paying it off. Life kinda just Stops. I lost everything. Except my animals, and the house it self. I have 3dogs, 5 roasters, 7 cats I feed, and my pal, turtle Man. We all stayed during the storm, people begged me to leave but you see, I refused to leave my truest friends. My fur (shelled & feathered) family. The storm was like nothing I have ever known before, and pray I’ll never see again. I KNOW JESUS rode it out with us. My house is 5 foot raised off the ground and the water was 18 inches inside the house!!!. To rebuild a 2 bedroom 2 bath front &back porch plus outside oyster room cleaned my account, Today I came in from a house cleaning job pd. 200.00 $ for my 3 days work. Oh, I lost my job at the marina here. I lost my car, so I ride my bike and do odd jobs for bills. Suwannee is 25 miles to the nearest lrg. town & 45 miles (1 way) to walmart. I get a ride in every 5 to 6 weeks for supplies. I am at the end of my rope with expenses, but no matter what happens here, or with life , I have my animals, my life , my Most Wonderful God and one heck of a story about the day I swam in my front yard to get my boat to recuse my animal crew. Thank everyone who takes time to concierge my plee. I will forever be in graditude fir any help.sincerely & in blessed peace & Love.
