I am reaching out today with a heartfelt plea for assistance. My name is Nelly Flores, and my husband and I are currently facing a challenging financial situation that is becoming increasingly difficult to manage. We recently lost our jobs due to a company restructuring, and while my husband was transferred to North Carolina, I had to quit my job and move with him to avoid us both being unemployed. This transition has left us struggling to keep our heads above water.
Our financial burdens are overwhelming. My husband’s income is currently stretched thin, covering food, utilities, our mortgage in Texas (until we sell the house), another mortgage in Puerto Rico (until we sell that property as well), and rent for our new home in North Carolina. To survive, we have resorted to using credit cards, and the debt is piling up. We have chosen to remain responsible and not abandon our properties, but this decision has put us in a precarious financial position.
I am actively seeking employment and exploring alternative ways to generate income quickly. One such endeavor is opening an online store, but starting a business requires capital—money that we simply do not have at the moment. We cannot afford to use the little we have for essential expenses like groceries, rent, and mortgages to invest in this venture. My bank account is currently in the negative, and I am unable to share this with my husband due to the immense stress it would cause him.
My husband has been my rock, helping me overcome a difficult past, and now it is my turn to support him through this tough time. We are determined to get back on our feet, but we need financial assistance to do so. As Latinos from Puerto Rico, we understand the challenges we face, but we believe that with the right help, we can overcome these obstacles.
I am humbly asking for any financial assistance you can provide to help us start our online store and alleviate some of our debt. To start , I am trying to find at least, $10,000.
