My name is Vincent. I am currently studying to become a Google cloud engineer. I would love to attend the Google Next Conference in Japan and need the funding to make this happen. There was a Google Next Conference that happened in Las Vegas this past April. I wasn’t able to attend due to the prices. I currently work in assembly and I’m living check to check and cannot afford this. So, the dream to become a cloud engineer is my goal and will change my life for the better. The early bird price for the conference in Vegas was $999, regular price was $1,599 and the onsite price was $2,299. And this doesn’t even include the plane flight to Vegas. That passed and I missed it, but I heard that there is another Google Next Conference happening in Japan but it’s free. The reason it’s free in Japan is because Googles competitors dominate in Japan. So, they made it free to compete and gain a foothold there. But even though it’s free, I would still have to buy a plane ticket and pay hotel costs. It takes place on the 30th and 31st of July. So, this is right around the corner. The current price for a plane flight to Japan from here is around $1500 and the hotels beside the Convention Center are charging around $150 per day. I would like to have a 3-night, maybe 4-night stay. I would really love to attend because this can open up the door to a potential future entry level job and the networking possibilities are endless for after completing my schooling. I would love to raise $3000 for hotel, flight, travelers’ insurance and expenses. Please help me to make it there.
