I was diagnosed with a rare neuromuscular disorder called Charcot Marie Tooth Disease, and in January 2024 I was diagnosed with Degenerative Disc Disease. I was working, till July of 2024 due to a major shift in my health. I legs feel extremely weak. CMT effects my peripheral nervous system that controls my muscles that control my legs. leading to some with CMT to be in wheelchair. On top of that the bending and picking up boxes at my job has become too painful with the shift in my weakness. So I am getting ready to fight the odds of allowing a disability to define me and fight to be financially stable without depending on the government. I am enrolled in Technical College. I am going for an associates degree in Computer Science.
