For the past three years, I’ve been homeless, sleeping in my car, and showering at a local Planet Fitness gym. I’ve been scraping by, cutting hair doing house calls just to afford food, gas, and the gym. In 2022, I was blessed to finish barber school by way of financial aid, but a $1,235.85 balance stands between me and my barber license. I can’t get my license until it’s paid.
